IC: Jyta wandered on in to the dorm room she shared with her friend Tamay. It was in its usual state of mild dirtiness, but there was nothing that had to be removed for company. No underwear decorating lamps, etc. She grinned, looking slightly feral. She didn't see her roommate anywhere, so she presumed she was out. Maybe getting groceries or something. Letting out a long sigh, she sprawled out on her unmade bed, leg dangling off the side. Her outfit (at the moment) consisted of a black spaghetti-strap type shirt and some jeans, the first things that had come to hand that morning. She had only had a few classes, the rest didn't meet today. That meant that she'd spent most of today in the cafeteria or on the grounds, working off a mild hangover or sleeping. Thus, she was mightily bored.

Speaking mostly to herself (and the ceiling), she said, <span style='color:#660000'>"Meh. I need something to do..."</span> She sighed, letting her eyes unfocus as she stared towards the ceiling. She began thinking to herself. <span style='color:#660000'>That was a fun party last night. I wonder whose dorm that was in, though? Hm...</span> She smiled, remembering the party last night. There had been some particularly attractive males there. Or maybe it was the booze. Whichever way it was, it had been fun. Suddenly, the idea for entertainment hit Jyta. It probably would have smacked her earlier, but her mind was still a bit clouded from the alcohol induced headache, making it hard to think.

<span style='color:#660000'>"Hill, I could throw a better party than that. I've certainly got ample booze, and Tamay and I would make nice hosts."</span> She grinned, picturing her Seductress roommate. She propped herself up, sliding onto the floor. <span style='color:#660000'>"In fact, I think I shall. I don't think Tamay would care. I bet she'd think it was a good idea, in fact! So there's no need to ask her. Lessee, what do we need for a party?"</span> She set about the room, looking for party items. <span style='color:#660000'>"Snack food, booze, music, hosts. Well, we've got the booze and the hosts (or host, at least). Let's work on the the other two..."</span> She dug through the panty and fridge. There was a half-empty bag of chips, a container of mixed nuts, and something that might have been a snack food in a former life.

<span style='color:#660000'>"Weeeelp... Let's work on that one later. For now, let's work with music.</span> She strutted on over to her computer, opened up an appropriate folder and program, and set it to playing. It was a random play list composed of dance type music, it would continue for a good three or four hours before repeating.

<span style='color:#660000'>"Well, three out of four, it seems. Lessee, where can I get snack foods quickly?"</span> She thought for a moment. She shrugged, sitting on the sofa and bobbing her head to the music. <span style='color:#660000'>"Maybe Tamay'll have an idea when she shows up."</span> She sat, waiting for her roommate. She figured that Tamay probably had some good ideas, too. <span style='color:660000'>I think she goes to as many parties as me... Oh well, she should be home soon. I hope.</span>

::tamay walked along the hallway towards her dorm, that she shared with Jyta, she was carrying some chips and pop, hoping to arrive home from classes to sit and watch a good horror movie, she slowly walked up the hall, seeing that the door wasnt fully closed she knew that Jyta must be home already::

wow you got home quickly ::she said as she walked through the door, placing the bags on the table near the tv, just smiling at Jyta, she looks around the dorm and just smiled::

so what are you going to be doing tonite? got anything planned? i was thinking we could watch a couple good horror movies!

::tamay smiled at Jyta waiting for her responce::

 

Turning her head at her roommate, Jyta waved. She moved so that she only took up one cushion of the couch instead of two and patted the now vacant seat. In response to Tamay's question, Jyta slid her finger along the arm of the sofa and looked slightly reluctant. <span style='color:#660000'>"Weeeell, I was thinking that we could, y'know, maybe have a party? Nothing special, just maybe opening our doors for a few hours and having some drinks with whoever comes and sticks their head in."</span> She looked up at Tamay, hoping she would agree. <span style='color:#660000'>Please say yes. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease!</span> She smiled hopefully. She looked at her watch out of the corner of her eye, noticing that it actually wasn't as late as she had thought.

<span style='color:#660000'>If she wants to watch the movies, we've actually got time... So, we could have a party and then watch the movies later. Or maybe watch the movies and party. Or party and watch the movies tomorrow... Or, party and watch the movies at the same time. Eeep.</span> Jyta's head now hurt. Worse than before, at least.

Since she really wanted to do something, she thought a little bit longer. <span style='color:#660000'>Maybe... a horror movie themed party? That'd be neat. Or, like, just the movie instead of the music, so people could hang out on the couch and watch when they didn't want to drink or talk to people? Oh! I wonder what she'd think of that.</span>

Jyta was a big "hand talker", she moved her hands to illustrate points. You could always tell when she was about to talk because she took her hands off furniture or whatever to speak. <span style='color:#660000'>"I don't know what you think about this, but maybe we could do both? We could have a party where we just had limited food, and screen movies into the wee hours of the night. Then we could have no music, and movies would be the entertainment instead! Then, whoever wanted to come in and see the movie could come in for an hour, talk, have a bite to eat, and leave. Plus, it'd give us ample opportunity to scare our fellow students."</span> She grinned, revealing her teeth. Jyta waited, hoping that Tamay would say yes.

 

Okkie idly fingered the small metal stud in her tongue, rubbing the pad of her thumb over its spherical surface. It was new, to replace her old mercurial bead, and it shone a bright, glittering blue. It was a bit smaller than her former stud had been, and the female noticed that it felt odd, as if it was too light, barely there. She prodded it again with a white finger, then let her hand drop to her side. She had to stop worrying the little dewdrop of azure, or it would begin to chafe her tongue, or, worse yet, ignite an infection of some sort. She still rolled her cherry tongue around in her mouth, testing the flavor and the size of the new piercing. Until, at last, she grew accustomed to the foreign body that was stabbed through the center of her tongue.

“Now I just need someone to kiss," Okkie said to herself, snickering as she stood up from the bench in the lobby of the dormitory wing. She grabbed her backpack, which had been perched next to her, and slung it over her shoulders. The caramel and white pendragon then proceeded up the hall, on her way to the inter-floor staircase, to return to her individual dormitory. She had been out all afternoon, shopping for the perfect stud, and now she was tuckered out, and looking forward to sprawling across her polka-dotted bedspread and examining her new bling bling in a handheld mirror.

But there was a distraction in the corridor as Storming made her way down the helix of stairs. On a floor just a few up from her hallway, she paused on the landing. She heard the drumming of techno music, and excited chatter coming from behind a nearby door. A white hand flew up to touch the stud again as Okkie stepped away from the stairs and prowled towards the door, and she rolled it between two fingers as she leaned towards the wooden panel, pricking her snow-capped ears to listen in on the conversation inside.

“A party?" she said quietly to herself, when she had put the pieces of the muted conversation together. Okkie paused, and let her milky hand drop from her mouth again, as she pondered. A party sounded great right now, that meant a lot of pendragons to whom she could show off her new stud. Also, deep inside one of her many baggy, black cargo pockets, there was a small carton full of weed-laced joints, the perfect addition to any good boum. “Sounds like they need some help planning this."

Without further adieu, Stormwing balled her white mitten into a fist, and rapped her knuckles on the door.

::she smiled reluctantly at Jyta, thinking about the options she had spilled out to her, she wanted to just have a nice quiet night, watching some movies and relaxing, but then again, she hadnt partied in such a long long time::

party sounds good, i can save the movies for tomorrow, well time is flying, shouldnt we start to get everything ready? we will need food, and music, and most of all DRINKS!!!! so we better get going before people start coming!!!!

::she walked over to the couch and flopped down on it, beginning to think, that maybe she could print up a couple little posters, and just hand them out, while getting all these snacks, just to bring in more people, and make it that much more fun!::

hmmm, i wonder... how many people will come.. and how long this will last for... hmmm this should definately be interesting... a nice party to start off the year

The windows were open in the corridors of Janardan, and a warm summer breeze wafted through the air, sending buffeting air currents of pollen and fresh green scents through the hallways. 5-'o'-clock sunlight shafted in. There were voices coming from down below, filtering through the windows like tiny midges and moths, fluttering against the argent-furred male's ears. The younger students with time off were in the courtyards, playing sports and dashing about in lopsided circles at Tria's coming.

Lucky Lazzie had the afternoon off from classes and was incredibly restless. He was normally a content and happy creature, but now his ears twitched with pent-up energy and impatience. The male was dressed in tight raven-black-washed jeans and a simple white tee shirt, which fit tighter than a normal one would; such was his style. He walked along, lashing his tail, dreading returning to his dorm and to boredom. His tail-flame blazed pale, yet vivid parma violet, indicative of his energy. He rolled his shoulders. He was quite hungry as well, and he had no food in his dorm. Growling quietly, he gave his tail another massive swing, sending the flame at the tip fluttering.

The feeling that was inside him was of potential energy; neutral, unbiased power. Its release could go either way: negative or positive. He could spend it outside running laps, or sparring; he could fight or dance. There are way too few house parties in Janardan, he thought, realizing that some partying would be the perfect solution to his pent-in need to do something. Not as if there was much chance of that this evening. Yeh, well, too damn bad, he thought rather poutily as he walked along. He cast an eye along the right side of the hallway. The door doors were all closed; most likely locked and abandoned by their owners as well.

Except for one.

Lazuli peered ahead in the hallway, noticing an open door. He saw four pendragons inside, and heard mention of the word party. His maw snapped into a quick grin, and he walked up to the doorway and rapped on the frame, going inside the spacious dorm room. "Hey, mind if I join you guys?" he asked sincerely, looking around. He made the first male in the all-femme population of the room. He raised his eyebrows. Lovely. "Anyone have any music?"

 

Daaolith slumped along the hall, hoping someone would read his door sign (looking for a rooomie). He sighed. Life was so dull these days. He suddenly heared music down the hall. The best way to meet new people would be in a party, so he walked down the hall to the room and knocked. "Mind if I party with you guyz?" he asked.

IC: Jyta grinned at Tamay's agreement. She did feel bad that Tamay didn't get to watch her movies, but they could watch them tommorow. She vowed to make it up to her; Tamay really was a great roomie. Jyta would have answered her command to Get Started, but before she could she was interrupted by what sounded like two pendragons knocking on the door. <span style='color:#660000'>"Sounds like word travels fast around here."</span> She laughed and hopped off the couch, going to get the door. She opened it, expecting to see maybe one or two 'dragons, but was surprised to be confronted with several.

Surprised though she was, she hid it well. <span style='color:#660000'>"Music and booze we've got, and I think we've got food. If you want to come on in, I suppose you can. Make yourselves at home while we set up. And no destroying of the dorm room, 'kay?"</span> With that none-to-eloquent speech, she returned to her conversation with Tamay.

Heading towards the pantry/cabinet, she opened doors and began searching for munchies. <span style='color:#660000'>"Ok, Tamay. Our liquor cabinet has all the appropriate booze, of course. I've got enough music to last us through the night. Let's see about snacks, though. We've got,</span> She began searching through the pantry. <span style='color:#660000'>"Penut Butter, Brown Sugar, Bread, Canned fish, Chips, and... er... What I think is a container of mixed nuts."</span> She had been to parties where there had been less, but the parties in question had also sucked. Wanting to prevent this, Jyta tried to think of a way to get new snack food.

<span style='color:#660000'>"Hey, what do you want to do about our lack of advertising and snacks? We could, say, make our guests donate,</span> She looked appraisingly at the group that seemed to be sprawling out on available furniture and inspecting the dorm room. <span style='color:#660000'>"Or we could go and get them ourselves. There's a copy machine nearby, we can copy off some fliers. You're better at that sort of thing than me, though, aren't you?"</span> Jyta's artistic ability (or lack thereof) wasn't a point of pride.

<span style='color:#660000'>"And I can go raid Nurano and Nafel's room for munchies. They both like sweets, and Nurano usually has a stash somewhere."</span> Nevermind that Nurano didn't like her taking said stash. She could pay him back. Or better yet, cash in on all the times she'd done makeup work on him for Spy missions.

Jyta looked at her roomate, while watching the party guests out of the corner of her eye. Hopefully the dorm wouldn't be trashed in the morning, Jyta didn't want to spend her time off cleaning. She wanted to spend it fighting off a hangover and watching movies, of course.

 

Daaolith had an idea.
"I think I have some snacks back at my place" he said. He ran off down the hall to his dorm. Moments later he returned with 2 bags of chips and a box of orange soda.
"This is all I could find". He placed them with the "other" snacks.

 

Jyta gaped at the snackfood that the guests had brought. She hadn't had much beside chips and pop, now there was candy, several varieties of soda, and chips. This was shaping up to be quite the party after all. Remembering her manners, Jyta managed to thank the appropriate dragons. She bent down and got several different bowls, putting some chips or candy into each. Jyta also set the soda out, along with some cups. The booze was placed where she could keep an eye on it, just in case. She didn't want the bottles broken or anything. Jyta grinned at the party that was now shaping up, and wandered on over to where the remaining guests where. Sitting on the back of the sofa, she grinned.

<span style='color:#660000'>"Well m'dears, it looks as if the party's started. There's the kitchen, with snacks and whatnot, here's the dancefloor. If you're going to smoke, don't set stuff on fire."</span> Ending her greeting of the guests, Jyta wandered on over to the fridge and pulled out a beer. Popping the bottle top with a nearby device, she took a sip, her lips curled in a satisfied expression. After taking a few sips, she walked back to where the sofa (and TV and imprompteu dancing area) were, and danced a little bit.

Jyta watched the door for new guests, wondering who would show up. Maybe some friends, or some interesting males. Someone was bound to show up, if this many people had come just by wandering through the hall. In fact, one of the guests had left to go get their roommates, she thought. Jyta was curious to know how the 'dragons here had known this was a party, and not just some jerk playing loud music. Oh well, the time to wonder about that was later, not now.

She put down her beer on the table, where she was fairly likely to remember it. Cracking her knuckles, Jyta moved closer to the computer, bobbing her head in time to the music. That was the advantage to chosing the playlist. You were bound to only have songs you liked.

As she headed back over to the kitchen to get some food, Jyta raised her voice and asked, <span style='color:#660000'>"Hey, anyone want a beer? I've got other stuff too, if you want..."</span> Jyta figured that anyone who did want a beer could probably figure out that they were in the fridge, but it never hurt to ask.

 

takjas smiled. ok just give me a second. i'm gunna finish brushing my hair and stuff what room? o and you can take my bag of candy to its in there she pointed to her desk. she contiued to bush out her hair then picked up her hair clip. clipping her hair out of her face she picked up her purse and said as for kos no clue i havn't seen him all day.

 

takjas ran to the door and yelled after her about 2 months! she went to her closet she took out a short skirt and a tank top she usuly didn't wear anything but she had gotten into the habbit latly. she ran out of the room and went to the room with the music blasting and went in she smiled and waved at nudek.

 

Consider me dropped out. There's just no way I can keep up with this thread's pace. Sorry.

 

Ryth wandered the halls, looking for the party he'd heard about in the halls. What was the room number again...? Oh, there it was. He could hear loud techno music from inside. That didn't necessarily mean a party. His own room sounded like that sometimes. Almost too much, too much that his neighbors often told him to turn it down.

He pushed open the door, and scanned the room. He didn't see anyone he knew, but he didn't know if that was a good thing or not. He frowned, then decided it was a good thing. He was here to relax, and he couldn't really do that with his friends here.

Ryth wandered over to a chair across from where the apparent host- or a just a nosy 'dragon (she had just told everyone where the drinks where, in case they hadn't noticed the fridge)- was talking to red-spotted black 'dragon. The host looked over at him, he nodded in greeting. He got up, grabbed a drink from the fridge, and sat back down, wondering what would happen next.
