Zamfir paced the long narrow hall of the Ajita home base. It was to everyone's belief that secret meetings were held in a room just off of this very hall. Sure they had a conference room, but was it ever used? No, not really. It was used occasionally when the council came together for it's bi-seasonly meetings. The hall was empty now, void of all life. Zamfir's thick claws clicked on the well polished marble flooring. The floor itself was a dark gray in colour and the walls were likewise a dark grey but mixed with natural highlights of dark purple and some small spottings of black.

    The overall effect of this area was rather gloomy. Yet this building had seen it's fair share of both good news and bad.

    {Karryasa...?}

    Zamfir called out through thought-speak, his words directed to Karryasa personally. He didn't need to say that he wanted to talk to her, for he knew her long enough that she'd already know. Most of their meetings now were conducted in silence. Each knowing what the other was thinking by the complex feelings that they exchanged. A frowning twitch played at the wizened corner of his muzzle.

  2. A shiney black nose appeared around one of the corners of the great hallway. The rest of Karryasa's sleek figure followed behind, and her tail was the last to appear, ragged and dragging. Her torn ears swivled around and /pointed/ forward. The claws bound by string around her thick neck jingled and swayed with Karryasa's slow movement.

    {Yes.}

    Came the response. It wasn't so much a question as to what Zamfir wanted. More like a simple phrase to let him know that she was there.

  3. Zamfir's eyes crinkled with a smile as he sighted Karryasa. He had already known she was there. Felt her presence. Yet the eyes always seemed to confirm what he felt. He took several steps toward her then lowered his head, his ears splaying off to the sides.

    {I wanted to speak to you about a few of our problems. I'm sure you already know which.}

    He said. For it had been rumored for quite some time now that the Seneca's hadn't met their end. That twisted with the rumor that they might soon return made Zamfir wary. He wasn't completely worried about the small - yet growing - rebellion that had been building upon Ramath for years. He didn't worry because they still didn't have a satsifactory leader. So... that was the least of his problems at the moment.

  4. Karryasa's eyes narrowed. She knew. Just the thought of her own dull orange eyes meeting with those of Iversia once again made the fur on her back rise. She stepped forward with her hind legs and sat back on her haunches slowly. Her long tail flicked back and forth for a moment and then rested over Karryasa's front paws. Karryasa raised a paw and slid her own claw along the middle and largest of the claws that hung from her neck.

    { Problem. More like an itch that can't be scratched. }

    Karryasa's lip curled in a smirk. That was exactly how she thought of the Seneca's. An annoying itch that was just out of reach.

    { What does one do if they cannot reach an itch? }

  5. Zamfir slunk forward and took up a seated position at Karryasa's side, peering over her wounds for most likely the millionth time. A bit of anger and resentment reflecting in his gaze. No amount of healing had done any good. Then his eyes slid to the necklace made up of claws around his mate's neck. Well at least they had some compensation, even if it was minimal, for the damage done. Zamfir had vowed revenge on them. And his word wasn't one to be overlooked.

    { Itches? Or deeply embedded thorns in ones side..? Although... I'm unsure. Usually, if you have an itch that you cannot reach, you ask someone else kindly to scratch it for you. But, we've tried that before... It seems futile. }

    He murmured in thought speak before reaching sideways with his snout and giving Karryasa a small nuzzle underneath her throat.
