--- Timestamp --- Day: Tria, 8th (Gaipui, first day of paquitten [Ramathian three-day weekend]), 81380. Time: Evening. (Or, if ya want me to be real precise, early jidp-sena) Where: Near the water Who: Koranu and Kien --- Timestamp --- Koranu was reclined, quite comfortably, on the beach. A paintbrush was in one hand, and the other held a Canvas. He had just put the last few strokes onto a picture of the Sun setting over the water. However, the real challenge to this picture was that he had only used shades of Red to create it. And damn, it looked pretty decent. "... Ah. Another one done." He set the picture down on the sand beside himself, then leaned back, putting his arms behind his head. A few smudges of paint were streaked across his cheek, and a smile on his on his face. As of late, he had been quite anti-social; he hadn't gone to a single party in months! His art, and some training in Chrono Kinesis, seemed to take up all his time at this point. But, now that he had three days to relax, he figured he'd do just that.
Blup Few bubbles surfaced over one particular spot on the waters. Round, transparent, fat little things that held air and it came out of both Kien's nostrils. As she giggled, several more bubbles escaped from her lips and surfaced. A small, tiny little fish passed her by. Maybe it's the lack of oxygen in her brain but she thought she saw the fish give her this weird look that said, "You don't belong here." She giggled somemore. It only made her lungs scream for air. If only she could find that chain she lost several days ago while playing in this same place. Where is it? She had started from the other end and searched all the way to this end. Still, no chain. Maybe.... Ah! There it is! She sank down again to the murky bottom and snatched up the silver chain with intricate design. She then pushed herself up and resurfaced. <span style='color:skyblue'>"I found it! Hahaha!"</span> she exclaimed once she caught her breath, holding up the silver chain and looking triumphantly at it. She sloshed her way to the bank, making a big mess once she got to the sand and phlunk herself down. Several drops nearly touched what seems to be a freshly done painting. Kien propped herself on her elbow to get a better look at it. It was a painting of a setting sun and done really well in only red shadings. Over her stay in Janardan, she had never seen a student paint like this. <span style='color:skyblue'>"Damn, who did this?"</span>
Koranu had gotten up and taken a bit of a walk after he had set the painting down to dry, mostly to get a breather and relax. It normally wasn't like him to leave a painting all alone, but he figured that no one else was out here, so he wasn't worried. When he came back and saw Kien looking at it, he wasn't at all upset. Until, of course, he saw a drop of water fall, ready to strike at the painting. He knew that, even if he ran, he'd be too slow to stop it in time. So, rather than simply running, he decided to put his other talent to the test. To Kien, it'd literally look like a blurr, then a set of hands landing on the painting. Then, she'd notice a body where the painting was. Koranu had literally done a sliding tackle, catching the painting and pushing it out of the way of the water, which instead dripped onto him. And now he was breathing rather heavily. Warping time like that was not easy for an inexperienced 'dragon like himself to do. He blinked up toward her, lying on his back. He tilted his head toward one side, then smiled a little bit. "... Hi." A few smudges of paint were still fresh on his face, since he didn't yet have time to wash them off. He even still had an art brush tucked behind one of his ears, which was tilted up, mostly to pin it against the side of his head.
All Kien saw was, of course, a total blur. Instead of a painting, now she saw a face streaked red and a drop of river water from her. She blinked once, twice, and then, <span style='color:skyblue'>"AAAAHHHH MY GOD!!! IT MORPHS!!!"</span> Not only does the painting morph, but it talks as well! She sat up hurriedly, fell backward and landed on her tail. She cringed in pain and she intinctively took her tail to the front of her to hug it. She glaced sideways at the anthropomorphic painting and inched a little farther away from it. It was all in blue, took the form of a male, and had a brush tucked on one of it's ear. What now it paints itself too? <span style='color:skyblue'>"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!"</span> she stopped moving and hugged her tail a little less tighter. She then turned back to the painting-er... pendragon. <span style='color:skyblue'>"You learned how to morph or something? Cause you know, I've never seen anyone morphing into a painting. Actually, you're the first paint-I mean- person. Actually, what are you?"</span>
Koranu blinked at the rather interesting reply, sitting up and setting the painting in his lap. "Just a really, really fast Painter." He smiled and nodded his head at this, his ears pointing straight up. "Koranu, actually." He stood up after a moment, dusting himself off and walking toward her, extending a hand toward her, to help her up. "Here, lemme give ya a hand there. Hope ya didn't hurt yourself." He chuckled lightly, scratching behind his head with his free hand. Seems that this blurry kitty was a bit embarassed.
<span style='color:skyblue'>"Ah! I see... so you're a painter, not a morph-person."</span> Kien stated while giving Koranu her drenched paw and stood up as well. <span style='color:skyblue'>"I apologize for my outburst. You really scared the ear wax outta me. I thought you were some Takula who pretends to be a painting and then eat small pendragons like me.</span> She tilted her head and studied the stranger a little while. He seemed a little embarrased. Was it because of her condition? She looked down at herself and saw her own drenched self. White tank-top sticking to her body, long pants that looks like she picked it out from a garbage and though she can't see her head, she has no doubt her fur would be sticking to her cranium, making her seem like she wrapped her head too tight. But she can't see her head so she doesn't know if she look like some wet feline. Whatever. She could look like a beggar in the street for all she care. At least she took a bath. <span style='color:skyblue'>"I'm fine,"</span> she said when she looked up at the blue stranger and smiled. <span style='color:skyblue'>"Just that I sat on my tail. But it'll be okay. It's been hurt a million times, I think. Oh, I'm Kien, by the way."</span>
Koranu took her hand and gave her a quick lift up to her feet, not really caring for her overall appearance. It wasn't his style to care about the way others looked; his vanity was only for himself. "Nah, Takula's can't paint as good as I can!" He gave a wink, then leaned back and put his hands at his sides. "Still, though, you sure your tail will be okay? Good way to throw off your balance if ya damage it too much." His own tail was lazily left on the ground, the red flame at the end dancing lightly against the sand. "I'm Koranu. Nice to meet ya Kien!" He smiled and then looked around for a moment, before looking back to her. "Water must be warm around this time of year."
Kien laughed at his reply to her Takula explanation. He seemed like a pretty easy person to talk to. Not to mention a little scary. It's the way he suddenly appeared in front of her and Kien was still a little surprised with that. Plus, who comes here around jidp-sena except for lovey-dovey couples? Pfft. Look where she is now. <span style='color:skyblue'>"Well, I know this friend who's a great healer,"</span> she said. <span style='color:skyblue'>"Healed most of my broken bones. So I guess I'll be okay."</span> She took a moment to squeeze her shirt dry. After that she flattened it against her body so that the creases won't stay. It didn't work, of course, for she never knew how to take care of her clothes. She looked up when Koranu spoke again. <span style='color:skyblue'>"Yes, it is. Better than swimming in Mia. Ha ha. I tried that, you know? Not a very bright idea. But I had to find something before the water freezes up."</span> She said and tried to get some water out of her ear. The sun was already setting and more shadows were appearing. The only light brighter than the remaining light from the setting sun was coming from Koranu's tail. And that gave Kien an idea. <span style='color:skyblue'>"Erm, I'm not really customed to asking strangers for favours but if you would, spare me a little fire? Just to dry my shirt. Though the weather is warm, I'm starting to feel cold now."</span>
