1. Dyo 16, 81379, midnight

Qutnema sat on a lone boulder in a clearing. Her silver and black tipped doubles wings were wrapped around her slender body. The moon above illuminating her wings and lightening her dark fur and hair. Her dull flame eyes stared at the ground, not finding anything of interest as she looked. Ever since she was changed she had found nothing good in the places where she had travelled. She had once seen light, but now only saw darkness. She had cried many times since then, even though she had tried to stop such childish thing the tears still came, even now. She raised her head to the sky, silver tears trailing down her cheeks.

Juem was enjoying his walk in this beautiful forest. The moon above made his bluish coat give out an eerie glimmer and glow. The slight breeze blew past and made the leaves for the trees dance.

He came to a clearing. His sense of smell told him that there was another nearby. Scanning the place with his silver orbs, he spotted a dark pendragon, wings folded around the body, sitting on a boulder. Cautiously, he neared the creature. It was female, he was sure. He wondered why she was alone.

Then she raised her head. Juem saw trails of tears running down the pendragon's cheeks. He was close to her and he was about to leave her alone. He turned to go the other way but stepped on a twig. He winced. The snap resounded around the forest like a loud gunshot.

Qutnema's head snapped towards the sound, teeth bared and growling at the intruder. Who are you?! Speak now!!

Her ear lay flat on her skull, her fur raised and her claws digging into the stone underneath her. Her wings unfolded and laid flat on the stone as she watched him.

  4. No escape. He turned around and faced the stranger. Funny how he find femmes pretty when they're angry. First, I must ask of you to calm down. he said in monotone. I'm Juem and I meant no harm. I just happened to pass by here.

He stayed where he was. A safe 6 feet away from the stranger. He didn't want to get into a fight in this beautiful night. Especially when the night is this late. As he looked at the femme, willing her to calm down, his curiousity grew. Why was she crying?

  5. Her ears pricked up a bit, but she was still causious. She looked at him, not sensing any threat from him but watched him closely. Why are you traveling here, most pendragons have very little reason to be here.

She brought her wings back around her as she sat back down.

  6. She'd calmed down. That was a good sign. Juem began to relax a little. Can't a 'dragon take a walk? I should ask you the same thing. Why are you here?

He took a few steps closer. Adrenaline was making him ready to fight or flee if the stranger decides to strike. A lady like you shouldn't be alone here. Especially in Bhim.

  7. Qutnema snorted. I am able to handle myself in a fight.

She watched him more intently now as he moved a little. Even though it wasn't in a threatening manner, she was ready if he tried something.

  8. This thill was tough. It's not like he hadn't come across one before, but this one had a certain quality to her. Alright.

Then a momentary silence befell them. He didn't think that the femme would do any harm. His tail flame was the only lumination besides the moon. He swung it in a relaxed matter, making eerie shadows dance. A paw reached out to scratch his chin as he asked, May I ask, why is it that you were crying?

  9. She averted her eyes away from him, ears twitching slightly. Why do you ask me this? Even though she had been crying, she would not admit such weakness infornt of another.

  10. She had a point. Why was he asking her this? He didn't know her long and heck, he doesn't even know her! But it was weird. Tonight was weird. While thinking for a response, he studied her profile. She was dark blue-ish and traces of silvery colour could be seen. She'd black stripes running down her fur. Her dark coloured hair fell somewhere at her waist. With her feathered wings, she somehow reminded Juem of a dark angel.

Dark angel. Then the answer to the question he was pondering came like a blow. He was asking this stranger why she was crying because he felt he care. But he wasn't caring for the stranger, he was caring for a lost love. This thill has a striking image of his last love. The dark coat, flaming eyes... except that his ex had only one set of wings and it was pure white.

Katia? he asked softly. His eyes were glazed, brain working in remembering the past. He knew it wasn't her. But the pain of past came back and some part of him wished that this stranger was no stranger at all.

  11. Her ears twitched when she heard him speak. She turned her head and looked at him. Though she had not known this 'dragon for long, she recognized and understood the sadness she saw in his eyes. Turning fully towards him, she watched him closely now.

Please answer my question. She said, her voice faint and lyrical.

  12. Juem snapped out of it. He knew she was gone forever. She'll never return. And he shouldn't hope. Ever.

I'm sorry. Err... what was your question? Juem asked, looking at the ground so the stranger won't see the tear running out of his eye. Oh, right! Uh... I-nothing. I asked out of curiousity. He noticed that he was stumbling on his words. Get yourself together, Juem... he told himself. Once he was sure the tear was gone and dried, he looked again at the stranger. But wished he hadn't done that. Because all he can see, was her.

  13. Qutnema looked at him, her eyes dull eyes staring straight through him.

Why do you mourn for someone who is dead?

  14. Juem raised an eyebrow. Oh, so now you're asking me? Then he uttered a small laugh. In reality, she's not dead. But to me, she is.

He walked a few steps closer to the thill then chose to sit down beside the big boulder. There was a moment of silence as he thought of how much to tell this stranger. She used to be someone I know very well. But ever since that day, she'd changed so much she'd practically become a stranger to me. We then fought so much it's pretty hard to count. He absent mindedly picked at a dry fallen leaf. Then, she left.

After a short pause, he turned to the thill. With a small smile, he said, Well, I've told you my story. Now you tell me yours. It's a fair deal.

  15. Qutnema smirked. Sly one, aren't you? I guess in all fairness I could tell you. As he moved toward her and sat beside the boulder, the wind blew, sending his scent towards her.

She closed her eyes as she inhaled his scent; not unpleasent, but not unpleasent.... just unfamiliar, yet sweet.

She looked down at the grass beneathe her, her mind wandering. There's not really much to say about me. I lived a good life with my adoptive parents. That's about it. Even though she hadn't told as much as he had she had told enough for her liking.

  16. Her story was short. Juem didn't expect it to be long like his. But he didn't expect it to be this short either. Adoptive parents? he asked after a few seconds of thinking. Well if you live a good life, I wonder why you'd be crying about.

It's okay if you don't wanna tell me. Besides, we're still strangers. he said. He listened to the sound of crickets for a moment and he gazed at the dark forest in front of him. Then, in a soft voice, he asked, What is it like to have parents?

  17. She smiled. It's some times nice to have them around, but some times they can be real annoying. The ones that adopted me were good to me and I owe them for taking me in when no one else wouldn't.

Qutnema looked down at him, a small smile lighting her face. The smile disappeared as her pupils shrank, the dull flame colored orbs staring at the pulsing vein in his neck. She felt herself lean forward, her fangs ready to sink into his neck, and pulled back. She bit down on tongue to restrain herself from taking from him.

Ever since she had been changed she hadn't once taken blood from a fellow pendragon, but instead preyed on the lesser animals that roamed around.

  18. Well I owe someone really badly... Guess it's too late now. He studied the femme. Then, out of curiousity, he asked, Why wouldn't anyone take you in?

Then he looked away, thinking of the past. Suddenly he felt uneasy. Hairs at the back of his neck stood up, giving him the impression something wasn't right. He turned to the thill just in time to catch her retreating back. Something in the thill's eye wasn't pleasant. Frowning, he sounded, What were you doing?

  19. Qutnema tried to calm her growing hunger. After a while she shook her head. It's nothing. Now, what did you say before? She asked, trying to play like nothing had happened.

  20. Juem felt the stranger was a little different than he. But he shurg it off, thinking it was just his over-imaginative mind. Besides, it was already past midnight. I was asking why no one would take you in, he shook his head, You know, it doesn't really matter now.

He looked at the sky and felt himself fall back. Now he was lying down on soft moss and looking at the stars. So when are you planning to head back to your parents? Bet they're worried.
