    <font color=lime face="lucida sans unicode"><font color=silver>Day: 23
    Month: Mia
    Year: Year 2</font>

MiaÂ’s grasp on the world had begun a mere twenty-two days ago, and she hadnÂ’t let go either. The winter season was set in full force, with ice and snow covering the mountainous landscape. Impressions of many paws were left in the snow, there one second, gone the next, as a flurry poured more snow down onto what already lay scattered across the ground. The slippery state of some places made it a dangerous place and time to be if one wasnÂ’t careful. It was a time to be observant, calculating every step to make sure that you didnÂ’t trip and fall. Everything was set firmly in the hands of fate, who controlled the destiny of every creature to walk Ramath-lehi, and many besides that traversed different lands, on different planets. For Crystallis was quite sure that there were other planets, and other creatures, which walked on different lands, and were controlled by the same fate that held her own homeland in its uncaring hands.

Smiling faintly at the thought, the pendragon spread her wings, languidly stretching them to their full extent so that sunlight was quickly absorbed into the almost black fibers. Her constant companion, Symbia, stopped the second that Tallis did, and stared soulfully at his trainer. Sparing a glance for her steadfast friend, and smiling gently in reassurance, the ‘dragon leapt agilely up into the air, skipping for a few seconds on two feet, before landing firmly back on the ground. Symbia growled low in his throat, a silently irate sound that he issued for his trainer’s benefit. He didn’t particularly like it when she did things like that, startled him into thinking something was wrong and such. Yet the animal didn’t dwell on it, and merely returned to his careful scanning of the area around them, waiting for something that would make a good meal to appear. It was a pain having an omnivore for an owner, they didn’t have to have meat constantly, and he did. Which Tallis often seemed to forget.

Crystallis smiled merrily, and hummed low in her throat, padding through the snow in general high spirits. She was an optimistic pendragon, to be sure, and she had no consideration towards the potential danger that was posed in the manner of ice. Yes, she noticed that she had to be careful, but she didnÂ’t focus intently on it, and fearfully step. Her movements were bold, outgoing and lacking in any hesitation. Very much like their owner, her purple hued paws were not inclined to analyze everything before taking a single step. Unless there was an immediate danger, in which case she would have been wary. Symbia would deal with anything else, or even that in the immediate sense. He was a smart mammal, and quite capable of defending his trainer, and himself. Besides, once warned, Tallis could defend herself. All in all, it had been a good day, and there was nothing that marred the optimistic view of the female pendragon. Some company would be nice, but who was out here in this kind of weather?</font></blockquote>

Walks away from the snowy bank top and drops down into the snow where it stopped then closed it's eyes. This female pendragon was very young and wore a patch on her front leg, showing the emblem of Janardan Academy, her small undeveloped wings showed no type of growth or use. Closes her eyes and shivers from the cold, unsure of if she will die or find a way to survive. Fades into the snow slowly as it burries her. Faint calls come from within her mind to anyone that whom might be listening.</font>

I think I got what you were saying, but could you please stick to one tense? Either past or present... sticking to one person as well would be nice. Not to be a pain or insulting, it is merely a bit hard to follow when it is all jumbled like that. ^^;</font>

Ivory tinctured lobes snapped forward as sounds drifted into her mind, muffled and childlike in tone. Tallis blinked and glanced about, searching for the source of the sound. Only then did she notice that the sound had vibrated through her mind, it hadn't been spoken through the voice. Of course, so far as pendragons went, speaking through telepathy wasn't uncommon. Still, the way that the voice had been like the originator was being crushed didn't sound goot to Crystallis. Halting her movements and tucking her purple paws close to her stomach, she sat meditavely, patiently listening for the sound again. There had to be someone out here, to make such a sound. By the voice, a female child. Not the sort of pendragon she would have expected to be trundling about in a storm like this. Shaking her head, the ivory-dawn female closed off all thoughts except those that traced the call for help.

Pinpointing the location to a general position, she flicked an ear at her companion. Opening her mouth as if snarling, and indicating in the direction that the mental call had come from, the pendragon bounded agilely in that direction. Her wings tucked close against her body to make her more streamlined as she dashed towards whomever needed assistance. While she wasn't a social butterfly, she wasn't going to let a pendragon in need make it on their own. Especially not in this type of storm, and most especially not a youth. After all, they wouldn't be capable of digging out of the snow that pounded down and covered them, whreas the claws of an adult might dig them out, or keep them out of the trouble in the first place  Because they wouldn't be buried as easily, and their wings or other abilities would be developed enough to save them.

Flicking her tail as she approached the general area of the lost youth, she closed her eyes and focused again, searching for a life force beneath the snow. Her mind reached out for any other that might have been buried, searching for the lost child. Symbia was beside her in an instant, worry in his large eyes, curiousity brimming to the top. Shaking her head, she set her nose to the ground, to no avail. Moving forward, Crystallis felt a jolt of recognition as she caught onto the younger female's mind, and knew where the other pendragon had been buried beneath the snow. Retractable claws clicked out, and she indicated her companion with a tilt of her head to assist her. The strong claws of both Symbia and Crystallis worked furiously at trying to get the other pendragon out. It wouldn't take long, so long as the youth hadn't been there for too long...</font>

:sweatdrops: While it's great that you stuck with one tense, you shouldn't tell me what I do or know. That is almost powerplaying. :points at post: Simply talk about her being unconscious, etc., not what my character would see or know or do.</font>

Crystallis growled low in her throat, and pulled extra energy from the depths of her mindscape to use in order to dig faster, harder. Symbia followed her lead, and snow flew over their heads as they dug into the hard-packed frozen rain. Just as exhaustion began to set in, the pendragon felt the faintest warmth beneath her unsheathed claw, and quickly retracted it. Clicking her tongue in the general direction of Symbia, to halt the creature's movement, she gingerly stared down at the youth that had managed to get buried in the snow. Symbia also stared down at the young pendragon, though his expression was a lot more wary, and his eyes were narrowed in suspicion. What if this was trickery, faking the call, and everything? He presumed that Tallis was known well enough to be desired by those that could use her skills with animals. She didn't have Mastery, but even Journeymen could be useful.

Ignoring her companion's worry and his cautious reaction to their finding of the youngster, she gently placed a paw on the other pendragon's forehead, praying that nothing had hit the youth besides the snow. Nothing unusual for a pendragon came underneath her careful paw, however, and she sighed gratefully. At least that meant that there was no permanant damage. Not yet, anyways. There could be, if the youth wasn't revived soon, and brought some place that help could be provided. After all, hypothermia was a real danger when one had been trapped beneath snow. That, and frostbite. Even pendragon coats couldn't keep them warm in that kind of snow, not buried beneath it all. Glancing at Symbia, she gestured for the beast to curl up near the young female.

Begrudgingly, the mammal slid over to lie beside the unconscious pendragon, adding his warmth to her own. Crystallis flopped to the ground and shoved snow out of her way so that there was enough room for her to curl up around the cub on the other side. As she did so, the female pendragon reached for the mind of the other, tugging faintly and trying to find the conscious level. Trying to draw the youngster back, so that they could move on. She wasn't going to leave Symbia and the unknown pendragon alone. Crystallis knew that her companion's heat alone would not revive the unconscious one. Perhaps the pair could, though. Vaguely glancing at the sky, she continued to try and call the youngster to the level of consciousness, while preparing to also mentally shout for help, once the youngster was revived. They might not need it, it sort of depended on how heavy the young pendragon was...</font>

Feels a little unsure and a little thankful for them being there.</font>

Sorry if I didn't make it clear, Symbia is a Dakesto, not a pendragon. [IMG]</font>

    ) - in character

The second the other pendragon revived, Crystallis breathed a sigh of relief. Symbia seemed less inclined to care that the youth had managed to slip into consciousness again. He shifted his paws and quickly rose to a standing position. The stocky dakesto moved away from the small female pendragon, and glared protectivelly in the stranger's general direction. Tallis shook her head firmly, thick bladed hair shifting back and forth as she warned her companion not to startle the newly rousted youth. Salmon appendage slid out from between barely parted jowls, that same tongue running along the sides of the pendragon's mouth as she removed some of the lingering snow from her snout. Vaguely registering that the youngster seemed unharmed, she shifted so that she was no longer so cozily close to the youngster. No need to frighten her with an overly close stranger.

As the youngster spoke telepathically, Tallis glanced in one more warning to her companion, before preparing a reply to the young pendragon's immediete questioning of who they were. Not a smart question, it was a waste of energy, to ask simply who she was, and not what she was doing, or somesuch. Tallis probably would have merely waited for her saviors to speak first, then replied in turn. But Crystallis was never accused of being like normal pendragons, nor did she care to speak like them, or act like them. Certainly not a "go with the flow" 'dragon. She did what she wanted, how she wanted, when she wanted, though she did consider others as well, she didn't care if what she did wasn't thought of as "cool". Returning to the present to answer the question, she smiled gently.

<font color=white>{Hush, little one. You will only harm yourself more. I am Crystallis and that dakesto over there is Symbia. I would like to know who you are, and what you are doing out here without parents or guardians, there is no time. I need you to get on my back, so that I can fly you to someone with medical expertise. I doubt very much that anyone such as that would be out here at this time.}</font></font>

  8. <font color='#ADA96E'>Answers slowly to the 'dragon about who she is and what she was doing out here so far from home. [My name is...Qamu Mamy...and I got left behide by my class as they were going to the snow camp towards the cape of Boreios.] Gets up slowly from the ground trembling with weakness and sick, opens her eyes slightly to see where the female 'dragon was standing then climbs up onto her back.</font>

  9. <font color='#00FF00'><blockquote><center><font color=lime face="lucida sans unicode">) - in character

Crystallis quirked a pendragon version of the eyebrow and looked down at the youth in exasparation. Hadn't she just said she wanted to wait to find the answers? Perhaps she had spoken wrongly, or something. Shrugging it off, and breathing in, deeply, she waited for the weight of Qamu to settle, before spreading her wings. It was a more difficult feat, with the young pendragon on her back. As Symbia scrambled up, she almost overbalanced, but quickly righted herself and moved her wings to keep from tipping over and knocking one or the other of the two riders off. That wouldn't be good t'all, nor would losing her grip on what was going on. Concentrating on where they were positioned, she shifted her weight slightly to accomidate the extra weight of the pendragon. She was accustomed to Symbia, but not the cub that was situated on her back as well.

Considering where she had last seen civilization, she pivoted, turning around so that she was facing the proper direction. At least the sun wasn't in her eyes, she noted optimistically, as she spread her wings. The take-off took longer then normal, due to the extra weight, but the trio got off the ground with ease. She had carried more weight before, it was simply a matter of exerting herself properly, not over much, or two little. Strong wings beat carefully, pulling them up into the air as she slowly flew them towards the last place she remembered that had an herbal specialist. There they might find a place to rest, and a place that the youth might be given some treatment for being out in the cold and such. Perhaps even returned to the Academy. Tallis was quite prepared to go over to the Academy herself and remark on their famed reputation, with a few mentions of a certain youth that had to be rescued.

Before she knew it, they were approaching the place she had remembered, and she was gliding in for a landing. Confused pendragons gathered about to stare at the trio, puzzled expressions on their faces. Crystallis flicked her wings and tucked them close to her body. Immedietly, Symbia hopped off, and snarled at the nearest pendragon. Glaring at her companion in stern rebuke, Crys waited for the young pendragon to get off, before shaking herself all over to place her pelt back in its proper positions. Baring his teeth in angry retort, Symbia trotted over to stand by Tallis, hackles rising in warning. Shaking her head quite firmly, the training pendragon searched the group of pendragons for a face that she didn't find. Sighing, she shook her head, bladed hairs tumbling into her face.

<font color=white>"Do you have an herbal specialist that might be of assistance to this young pendragon?"</font> She inquired, gesturing with her paw at Qamu. There was movement in the crowd, mumbles, and then a healer appeared, complete with supplies for healing.</font>

  10. <font color='#ADA96E'>[No...I know not of anyone about these parts...] Gets down off her back and sits slowly against the ground. 11. <font color='#00FF00'><blockquote><center><font color=lime face="lucida sans unicode">) - in character

Crystallis smiled gently at the young pendragon, and nudged Qamu in a reassuring manner. Symbia reluctantly slipped over, pressing his form against the small 'dragon. Warmth was still a key issue. Without the proper temperature, it was likely that the small pendragon wouldn't last. He didn't really care, at the moment, whether the youth survived or not. Except for the fact that his softhearted trainer and himself had just wasted a lot of time in saving the small femore. Personally, Symbia would have ignored the calls for help, but he was unconcerned about anyone and anything besides Tallis, and the few friends that he and his trainer had. They were the only things that mattered, not any other pendragon was worth his time.

Crys, as if sensing his thoughts, glared firmly at him, warning that he was being discourteous. Rolling his eyes, the dakesto moved out of the way as the healer approached the fallen pendragon youth. The herbalist shook her head and clicked her tongue a couple of times. She asked a few telepathic questions to Tallis, who answered as best she could. Smiling gently, the healer nodded slightly to Tallis.

<font color=white>"You did well. She may not have survived if you had left her. She'll be alright from here on, you are free to leave."</font> The healer commented, turning back to her patient.</font>

  12. <font color='#ADA96E'>A faint smile creeped across Qamu's face as the healer did her duty. [Your...in my heart...Crystallis, thank you, for everthing.] A tear rolls down her cheek as she lies there, wimpers a bit and relaxes as the healer works.</font>

  13. <font color='#00FF00'><blockquote><center><font color=lime face="lucida sans unicode">) - in character

Tallis blinked and reached a paw up to wipe away the tear as it tumbled down the younger pendragon's cheek. Smiling softly, she nodded in a manner that was both solemn and accepting of the youth's words. Symbia snorted and rolled his eyes, considering his trainer to be quite the softhearted pendragon. After all, this could still be a scam, meant to do just as they had done. And then, then perhaps something would occur. He narrowed his eyes suspiciously, and glared about at the crowd. All of them stepped back and smiled nervously. A dakesto was dangerous when angry, after all, and no one wanted to get a pendragon's companion in an irked state. Even with the trainer right there. Tallis shook her head, and firmly smacked Symbia on the head with a forepaw. Without waiting for the dakesto to respond, she replied to what Qamu had said.

<font color=white>{Hush, now, sleep. You need you rest. Trust me, the healer will take care of you, and you need not fear them. They are good people. Perhaps we shall meet again someday...}</font> Hopefully not in the same way.</font>

  14. <font color='#ADA96E'>[Perhaps...one day soon...] Relaxes to Crystallis' touch and falls into a faint sleep. wimpers softly as she does and movees her paws to where they curled under, pulls them close to her chest.</font>
