Timestamp: Day 30 Tessera (Autumn), 81379 Character: Vac (if you want to see his profile, it is in my signature) Time of Day: Noon Vac carefully puts the book into his bag. He has heard that the person he is looking for, might be selling magical jewlery. He impatiently waits for the elevator, and for everyone who is leaving the car, to come out of it. He leans against the wall and hits the appropiate number. Within a few minutes, the door opens. After quickly reading one of the signs, he walks in the direction of the library. He enters the library, and fully understands why, someone would pick this as a place to be selling, items. He moves around quietly, so that he doesn't interupt those around him. He walks through the aisles, until he finds a semi quiet spot. He turns and looks out the window, and waits.
Character: Sejv Massit Sejv walked up to the library with a black case in hand, it held some of his more displayable merchandise. He liked to think of him self as a fine arts collector but he often came into possession of many not so fine things. He hoped this student had some serious things to trade or to pay with otherwise it would be some cheap gold thing he was getting. Sejv walked confidently through the double doors and scanned around for his customer, he had no clue what his client look like though so he just waiting by the doors. He hoped that this person would find him other wise he would be wasting valuable time, which was money obviously. With his free hand his flattened down his business robes, fine magical patterned things that made him look very posh and formal, also they showed him to be a qualified magical practitioner and trained assessor.
Vac turned from the window, and spotted the one he was looking for. He walks up to him, and offers a hand. "Hello, I am Vachilus. Shall we move away from the doors?" He gives the dragon a quick glance over, and is sure that he will have what he is looking for. He walks back over to the window, which he had just left, and waits for him to join him.
Sejv took the youths hand and smiled, he liked the fact the arden had the courtesy to speak formal, he hated when they said stuff like "Yo busta wat up" it drove him insane. After shaking paws and hands he followed Vac over to the windows and dragged one of the tables away from where it wasnÂ’t being used to a the more sheltered location. The librarian knew him and he was always slipping her a nice shinny ring so she let him get away with a few misdemeanours. "Ah this is much better, now do you have anything in particular you wanted to get. Oh and by the way IÂ’m Sejv." He said in his executive voice, he liked being this formal sometimes, it was the only time he acted sensible and he liked the change occasionally. He sat the case on the table and opened it up facing Vac's direction. As it opened tow selves lifted up that were attached to the lid and the case seemed to hold hundred of items. It seemed impossible deep and had many shelfÂ’s below. It was clearly magical in nature. "Now if you see something form the lower selfÂ’s tell me and it will get it." he said caution. He was always suspicious of youngsters running of with stuff and he would have to have to barbecue one. He sighed deeply, he sounded so old when he was in this mind set.
Vac smiled, and leaned forward to look in the case. "Sejv, tis nice to meet you. I am looking for a magical necklace. Price isn't an issue and I do have an item, to throw in." He continues to look but, so far isn't seeing anything that fits the picture in his head. "Well, so far I am not seeing anything. The necklace I am looking for is a choker style, that has six stones within it. 3 orange and 3 black, and they are surrounded with tiny diamonds I believe. Do, you have anything fitting this description? If not anything semi close?"
Sejv sat stumped for a while, price was no object could mean a lot and an extra item sounded interesting. He thought for a moment but yet he already knew he had nothing of the exact match. He did however get a few ideas. "Well sir, I do have a a particular necklace, of considerable magical ability. Its a black choker but it has a central red jewel and then Yellow ones going around the side. Unfortunately we cant custom make rare magical items although if you wanted we could make a minor magical necklace of your description, wont be as powerful though." He said in the best explaining voice he could. He liked to play the salesman. The specific necklace he was talking about was a very rare piece, chokers were hard to come by, especial jewel encrusted ones. They just went a common design..
Vac listens carefully. "I would like to see the choker, that you just described, if I may. This peice, is a gift for someone I care about. I figured it was time to get her a present. It wouldn't be for right know but, do you ever get unusual rings?" He leans back, watching Sejv, with a smile on his face. He will keep this one in mind for later dates. He has quite a selection, and appears to know what he is doing.
As Sejv waved a hand mystically behind the case the choker lifted itself of the appropriate self and began to levitate out of the case. He carefully put it into his hands while it hovered silently upwards. As he took it into his hands he felt the tingle of its magic, the choker was a powerful artefact and was one the necklace of a powerful demi-god who had rather bizarre tastes. The artefact had a few abilities, its most obvious being the ability to make its owner more magically attuned with their surroundings. That was just one though, it had even more abilities that could prove to be useful. "Here is the choker and yes if we have one thing we have rings. Anything in particular you want, and any magical effect your looking for." Rings were very popular and convent, plus they were always in fashion. They were much easier to conceal as well. "Oh and by the way, that choker is expensive." He said as a little reminder, it was not to be handled lightly.
Vac carefully took the choker, and examined it closely. He smiled as he felt the magic coming from it. It reminded of the feeling that came off Peiruh. "This peice is absolutely perfect. I will take it. How much are you asking?" He carefully hands the choker back to Sejv, and reaches down into his bag. From in his bag he produces an envelope. He smiled and glanced at the case again, and picked up a bracelet. He examined the bracelet. It is made up of Black bands, with tiny ruby's, emeralds, and sapphires set within the bads. He smiled, it felt exactly like Peiruh's sister Vex. The girl has done nothing to deserve such a gift, from him but, he doesn't care. "I will take this bracelet also." He hands the bracelet to Sejv, and smiles. He reaches back into his bag, and pulls out the book, that he discovered recently. He sits back, and waits on the price of the jewlery.
Sejv looked at the both items and starting counting in his head, they were both extremely expensive. However currency was currency in Ramath-Lehi and nothing was teh same anywhere, standard money was no used to him since in Bhim only tradable things were valuable. He carefully picked up the book and examined it, it was called "Sha yjedemt yv nudek" he liked it immediately, however he ran his fingers around it briefly checking its authenticity. "I'll take the book for the bracelet but you will need something else of value for the choker." He said with a serious expression while he still ran over the book. It all seemed well so he opened it and briefly admired the perfect art work.
Vac thought about Sejv's words for a moment. He picked up his bag, and placed it on his lap. If he remembered correctly, he purposely left a couple of other things in here, that where of no use to him. After a few minutes, he finds the first thing he is looking for, and carefully pulls it out. He sets the box on the table, and starts searching once more. He grins as he finds the other item, which he also pulls out carefully and sets it on the table. He looks at Sejv, completely serious. "Please look at these items, and tell me if they will work. The first, is a crown but, I personally cannot stand the feeling that comes off it. I have had it for quite a long time, it was a gift at one point of time. The other item, is another book, pretty much the same story as the crown. I have kept both in the original boxes, and have only handled them once, and that was when I first recieved them." He places his bag, back on the floor at his feet, and waits. The book, is one that I have never seen again, in all my travels. From what little I have read of it, I believe to be attempting to summon, some particular demon. I was never able to translate the title, though. This book was given, as a gift of thanks, from a mage. The crown, is 16 inches in diameter. Tis made out of 24 karet white gold. Around the base, is a celtic knot design. The knot is made up of Onyx, Rubies, Sapphires, and Amethysts. The top has 4 symmetrical tips. Each tip is 2 inches in width and 6 inches in height. Upon the top of each tip, there is a round Garnet. Around each tip there are stars made out of rose quartz. When the crown is worn, the one wearing it for a short time is able to see only his or her future.
Sejv looked at the crown in awe, he could feel its power radiating from it like waves of energy. It looked very powerful to him, its aura denoted seer magic as he delved deeper into an examining of it. His eyes scanned over its aura peeling back its secrets, he nearly gasped when he discovered future telling properties. He wanted that now. Keeping his composure, he looked blank as ever. " That seems like a fair trade to me, the choker is yours." He said as he carefully slid the crown over to his side of the table. This wouldnÂ’t be something he would be selling any time soon yet he would never dare use it. He had heard of people who had glimpsed their future, they went mad sometimes with visions of their own death or assumed they couldnÂ’t die until a certain time. He would just keep the thing in his private collection. "Well its been a pleasure doing business with you Mr Vachilus" he said while he offered out his hand.
Vac smiled, and picked up the two jewlery boxes, put thim in his bag and stood up. He shook Sejv's hand. "Tis a pleasure to have done business with you. Would there be a possibility, for future business trades? You are one of the best, that I have found around here. I seem to aquire unusual items, in a very timely manner. I do believe you, would enjoy having them, for what ever use you put them to." He grinned ear to ear, very happy with the jewelry.
Sejv shock the ardens hand and smiled at him, while sliding his new found possessions into his case, watching them magical fall into place amounts the infinite selves. He liked things neat. HE looked back to the man and considered his proposal. "Sure, that sounds excellent. IÂ’m always looking for new suppliers and buys. I look forward to further transitions." He said in his business voice and tone yet he was smiling very broadly, he was fairly confidante he had made a profit on this trade. He stood up and closed his case, returning it to his side with the same firm grip on it. He then slid the table back as the man left. Sejv walked over to the secretary and slipped her a little jewel and winked, he held back a laugh as the little thill smiled broadly and hid it amounts her books. Technically he wasnÂ’t allowed to do business here yet things went along fine if you greased the right palms. He smiled confidently as to himself as he walked out case in hand.
