-OOC- Tessera 34 81379 -IC- Nuuiki waddled to the edge of the water. He curled up on a patch of sandy beach and burried his face into the sand. He folded his wings out cuase last time he was all curled up and was stepped on. He snorted into the ground, a piece of grass flew up out from under the moist dirt. He caught it in his hand and it ignited at the tip with a small spark. He manipulated the fire until the entire leaf had been engulfed. Then he burried it back under the dirt and went back to his nap on the beach. His right paw fingers were black, which was an improvement over the last time when his entire front legs went black.
Tannie walked around the lake. There was a Yki curled up at the edge of a beach. She couldn't decide if he was dead or sleeping. She walked closer to him and nudged him with her toe. She gasped as he grabbed her ankle and pulled her down to his level. Please don't hurt me!
Nuuiki jumped when he heard someone sneaking up on him. He grabbed the persons ankle and jumped back when he saw it was just a little girl. He knew he had scared the little girl and quickly wrote into the ground,"sorry" with his paw.
Still breathing heavily Tannie sat down in the sand. I'm Tannie. She looked around. Nothing else was moving. All was entirely still.
Nuuiki smiled and wiped the message out before writing out his name. He held out his paw to shake. He thought to himself,"Who is this girl?"
N-nu-nui..... crap. I have a lot of trouble reading. A leaf blew to the ground beside her. She smiled, lifting her right index finger. The started twirling in tight spirals and backflips. But I am good at that
Nuuiki looked at her with a raised eyebrow. He grabbed a different leaf and set it on the sand alittle ways away, it engulfed into fire quickly. He smiled and looked at his paws, the black shadow crawling up.
Tannie's eyes suddenly filled with tears. Aside from being a dancer, her mother had that power. She wiped at her eyes quickly so Nuuiki wouldn't feel bad again. That's kind of cool. I'm sure my dad would care about that. She hadn't meant to say it out loud her thoughts were spilling out of her head before she could stop them.
Nuuiki felt bad and made a mental note not to do any more pyrokinesis infront of her. He curled up next to tannie, resting his head on her lap, trying to comfort her.
Tannie moved away. Her new 'friend' was making her kind of uncomfortable. Can't you talk?
Nuuiki looked up at her as she moved away. He shook his head in response. He rolled onto his back, thinking to himself,"Time to work on my tan."
Oh. I'm sorry.... Can I tell you a secret? She looked down at the leaf now lying still. A breeze blew, sending her bangs backward and making her hair fall out of her bun. As her hair fell past her shoulders onto the damp sand she shivered. She never took her hair down and her bangs always covered her third eye.
Nuuiki rolled back onto his stomach, he nodded, trying to provoke trust in her. He moved closer and his ears twitched in antisipation and making sure he'd be able to hear her, almost thinking this was something important.
I don't think my father cares about me. I ran away a few days ago. I'm trying to get to Janardan. And I don't want my father to find me. She sighed, trying to hold back the tears and sobs threatening to burst out of her. I just think I can take care of myself... since Nunea is gone. As she said her mother's name the tears made their escape and she looked down, the tears falling thick and fast into her lap.
Nuuiki's eyes go wide, thinking to himself,"Girl, you are no wheres near janardan..." He sat up and tried to hug her around her stomach as she started crying, he wrote with his tail into the ground,"Mom?" he looked up to her waiting for a response.
She nodded still crying but not as hard now. I know you're thinking I'm not even close to Janardan, and I know. I'm really lost. She lay down in the sand her hair sweeping around her. As she closed her eyes she shivered. She was cold, regardless of her boots and grey leggings.
Nuuiki was caught off guard when she told him what he was thinking. "woah, psychic?" He felt her shiver and ran off, coming back with a pile of twigs and branches. He piled alittle ways away from her and turned his back to her, focus on the branches and smiled as the sounds of a well made fire came to his ears. He went back and sat down next to her.
safe by the fire Tannie fell asleep. TWO HOURS LATER Tannie woke up on the cold sand, Nuuiki curled up next to her.
Nuuiki snorted and nuzzled into her fur for warmth. He snored into her fur, his wings wrapped around himself into a ball. He dreamed happily and grunted. Stretching and yawning, one eye popped open.
hey she said trying not to smile it was pretty funny. the fire was about to die so she poked her finger into the ash and made it swirl into the air and dance around their heads.
