It was the middle of the night, and a young female pendragon through a path in Bhim's forested area. She walked slowly, her arms crossed, senses dulled by the effect of some plant she'd been smoking. She felt calm, comfortably numb. She forgot that she was in Bhim, or at least forgot the fact it was dangerous. The female wasn't very tall, but the two huge reptilian wings sprouted out of her back made her appear larger. As much effort as she put into holding them up, they still dragged behind her a bit, catching dead leaves on the ends. They were quite heavy and often a burden. She didn't need such huge wings, she was very small-boned anyways. But that's what she had. Tight black pants and black running shoes contrasted well with her milky, clean white fur. A red sleeveless top matched with her long burgundy hair, tied loosely yet neatly into pig tails. Hanging off her shoulder was a small grey bag, inside was her stash of that plant she'd been smoking. She didn't know what it was called. She'd met a 'dragon at a bar in central Bhim and he sold them to her. The high was amazing, it made the female feel light as a feather, boosted her energy and in a very joyful mood. It wore off with much subtlety, without any negative effects that she knew of. She'd just notice suddenly she felt heavier and in a more neutral mood. She sat down on a large rock and pulled a few dry leaves out of the bag, and began to roll them up without much skill. All this was done without looking around to check if she was alone. Quietly giggling, the female stood up and stumbled dizzily, quickly regaining her balance. She closed her bag and held the joint between her index and thumb loosely. With her other hand she pulled a lighter out of her pocket and lit the joint. It burned slowly, with a very strong smell that would make anyone's face cringe in disgust. She inhaled fresh air once more, waited, and exhaled. Then brought the non-burning end of the joint to her lips and inhaled very gently. In no time, she felt herself loosen up even more. Like her joints were seperating from one another. Like she was getting taller, like her limbs were extending. It was a light, painless, beautiful feeling. She skipped along slowly, her wings and tail swaying behind her. She laughed loudly and lifted her chin, looking toward the sky. It was dark and splattered with millions of dim stars. A beautiful sight. She wanted to take off and fly, but just then, her foot caught on a large root that jutted out of the ground, and she fell forward, the joint falling out of her hand. She lay there, and began crying quietly, then curled up, lying in the weeds. She'd groan, and sob, and gasp. Every breath she took was shaky.
Ashavia was laying, her back propped up against a tree. Her short white fur glinted slightly as a breeze passed between the mud and dirt that stuck to her. She had been out here for quite a while, it started out as a vacation, but had since lived in this forest. She knew the forest as if she had created it; a map was etched permanently inside her brain. She knew were the animals went, what they did, and when to stay out of their way. She knew perfectly well that the forest had a history of being dangerous, and she could personally vouch for it, but she loved it here and if her love killed her so be it. Besides this forest was the only place where she could carry out her business. She was a thief, it was her soul profession. Well she was actually a professional escape artist, and acrobat, but she had found these professions very limiting so she decided that she would give herself something else to do. And besides if she were caught she would escape simple as that. She let out a satisfied sigh, yes her life was great. She was wearing a short tan tank top shirt that had a large intricate butterfly printed on it. She also wore low rising blue jean shorts that ended at her knees. Her hair was wild and did not look like it had ever been brushed. Her Mohawk style brown hair was also covered in dirt and had a few leaves sticking in it. She had a long tail that trailed off until it was at least twice her own body length. She was a small pendragon, only the size of a house cat. She did not mind her bedraggled appearance, it only added to her "thief" essence, as she would say. She lie there, ready to fall asleep and wake up to another eventless day, waiting for a traveler to come by. She shut her eyes and drifted off to sleep, a smirk plastered on her face. She was awoken by a strange sound. She did not moved but her ears perked up. She heard the sound again, it was someone giggling. Ashavia smiled and turned to look at the tree she was sitting against. As quietly as she could, she climbed up it. She went out on one of the limbs and jumped to a tree that was in the direction the voice was coming from. Finally she found the source of the noise, a young pendragon who seemed to be way out of it. Ashavia marveled her own good luck. She followed to the unsuspecting pendragon a little bit until she fell down. Ashavia waited a moment and then she jumped from the tree towards the pendragon. She was aiming for the bag that was around her shoulder. Ashavia fell on top of the pendragon with a crash. She regained herself and quickly tried to grab the bag around her shoulder.
Before the female was able to pick herself up, she felt a considerable amount of weight fall onto her back. "SHIT!" She yelled, flipped over in a struggle and thought she had the 'thing' that fell on her back partially wrapped into one of her wings. Whatever it was, it was small, and alive. She managed to pull up her wing very gently and saw the smallest pendragon she'd ever seen. "You're fucking small!! Who the FUCK do you.. think you are..creeping up on a.. little girl like me.." Her words came out stuttered and hoarse. "Hah..ha..me, little, YOU'RE little!" She continued, realizing what she'd just said. She rolled over and clutched the bag, and began to crawl away on her hands and knees, her tail and wings dragging along with her. "I'm so fucking heavy..I seriously need to lose weight, man..I need to stop smokin' this shit.." Then, right then and there, she collapsed in a heap, motionless. Apparently the high was over. "Help me.."
Ashavia had somehow fallen off and gotten trapped under the other pendragon's wing. She held on with a paw to the bag that she had been intending to steal. She was a little panicky, the small pendragon trapped under the weight of the wing. She tried to get herself free but the wing was lifted before she could get herself out. The larger pendragon rolled over, ripping the bag from Ashavia's grip. She cursed under her breath. She lounged away from the pendragon, afraid that she would try to fight. But when she turned to see that she was crawling away she smirked. Don't go to far. She thought with a light twitch of her long whip like tail. Then the other pendragon collapsed. Ashavia did not move, she was compleatly still exept for her tail which waved back and forth anxiously. Ashavia's eyes were on the female pendragon. It might be a trick. She told herself. She waited a little longer before cautiously making her way closer. She knelt down next to the large pendragon. "Someone your age should not curse so much." Ashavia said with a smirk. The small pendragon reached for the bag that the large pendragon clutched in her hands.
"Ahha..shutup, you. I'll curse as much as..I fucking please.." The female felt so weak, unable to move her joints and limbs. She felt Ashavia reaching for her bag. Well, that might be just the thing to help her quit. But, on the other hand, she decided she'd rather keep the stash because she could trade it for something useful. She groaned loudly, realizing Ashavia's intentions. The bag's strap was still around her arm, down to the elbow. "What the hell do you think you're doing, I could take you down right here, right now.." She rolled over, summoning all her strength, and managed to stand up. Dizzily, she stumbled a bit, but grabbed hold of a tree and stabilized herself. She took long, deep breaths to clear her body of the intoxicating fumes. Stretching her arms and back, she felt at least a little better. "Don't you dare try to rob me. Let's be fair. Do you have something you could give me in exchange for this stuff?" She doubted that Ashavia would accept, because she'd seen what it can do to a pendragon after smoking a few joints.
When the female rolled over Ashavia jumped back, like a cat when its prey that was thought to be dead has suddenly sprung to life. Her eyes narrowed slightly, sparkling with mischief. What ever was in that bag had to be something good. This only made the small pendragon want to take the bag more, what could be in it? Ashavia stood her ground, she did not run nor did she advance, she was still and tence, ready to make her move. As the other female stood up, the grin on Ashavia's face appeared once more. Most pendragons thought they could "take her" because of sheer body mass. She was small, but she had an advantage, she was almost always quicker. Besides this pendragon did not look like she was in any condition to be threatening anyone. She looked like she would tople over before she could get her first hit in. Ashavia crouched down ready to lounge once more for the bag and make her escape. "I will trade you a good few bruises for it." She said confidently.
A look of sheer confusion was etched on her facial features now. "Bruises? But..how..?" It took the female a while, but she finally understood. She blinked, and narrowed her eyes. "I'm not looking for..a fight. Leave me alone." Her voice was still hoarse and a little shaky. Noticing Ashavia ready to lunge for her, she turned, and tried to run in the opposite direction. "You can't have have this..unless you're willing to trade FAIRLY!" Her wings opened behind her, as she tried to take off, and with a few violent, forceful flaps of her wings, she was off the ground, and elevated about 50 feet from it. "HAHA! SUCKER!!" She yelled back to the potential thief. Then, suddenly, she was unable to move her wings. "What..the..fuck?!??!" And with a shrill scream of horror, she plumetted to the ground and fell pretty heavily, her fall slightly slowed by her open wings serving as parachutes. She rolled over, and in a daze, moved all her still-numbed limbs to make sure nothing was broken. Then she started crawling on her hands and knees, not knowing if she was heading away from Ashavia. She was just frantic.
A look of defeat and horror crossed Ashavia's face. Her victim was just flying away and what could she do? She cast a glance at her feet and a very funny image of herself standing there crossed her mind. Then the pendragon above her let out a yell and Ashavia looked up as she came hurtling back towards the earth. Ashavia did a little dance of joy in her head. Her prey had not gotten away. Whatever it was that had happened to this pendragon to make them act so, Ashavia had decided she liked it. More people like you should come through these woods. She said to herself. She walked over to the fallen pendragon who was crawling away from her. "How about you tell me what is in the bag and I will decide if I should let you keep it or not?" Maybe what made her act so strangely was in the bag, a type of drug perhaps? The thought tickled Ashavia. Of all the things the had ever stolen drugs was not high on the list and most of the people had not used it recently themselves. Easy, and Valuable. How much better could it get? She thought to herself as she fantasied what the money she would get for the drugs could buy her. She continued to walk behind the other pendragon, not daring to go beside for fear of the wings. "How about this. If I can guess what it is, you give it to me?"
Naedalya crumbled to the ground, appearing completely helpless, as she saw Ashavia back beside her. She groaned and clutched the bag with both arms sprawled across her chest. "Ugh...fine, guess." She was breathing heavily, hoping to clear her body of the toxic effect so she could actually defend herself. As helpless and out of it as she may have appeared, she was not willing to give up her nice little stash without a fight or a fair deal. As heavy as they felt, the white female managed to lift her wings up. They would definitely be heavy and big enough to push Ashavia away, if she should lunge for her. Just a defensive measure. Nae was coming to her senses..
Ashavia smirked as the othe pendragon agreed. I already know its some type of drug. She mused happily, when a thought struck her. Would this deal only work if she knew what kind it was? The thought made her uneasy but she kept it well hidden. She felt suddenly very stupid, and scolded herself. Her long tail whiped up behind her in frustration. Ashavia opened her mouth and was about to speak when the female lifted her wings menacingly. She could tell the effect of what ever it was had almost worn off and the female was getting back to normal. Ashavia could guess the purpose of the wings and she took a tentative step back but smirked none the less. She was not about to leave, especialy when there was still some chance she could get her prize. Brushing a paw across her hair she spoke. "Some type of drug perhaps?" Ashavia tenced, ready to bolt if it was necessary. She could always continue to follow the pendragon and get the bag latter in a far more subtle way than jumping on top of her from a tree.
Nae blinked, but wasn't too surprised. It was pretty obvious, and Ashavia had probably been watching her since she rolled her own joint anyways. She smirked and pulled her shirt down and pushed her waist-length pig tails behind her shoulders. "Oh, my! How did you ever guess that. You are so smart," the reptilian-winged female said mockingly. "I changed my mind, you can't have the bag." She smiled and crossed her arms, feeling her body regain strength. One thing I know for sure, I cannot smoke it anymore. I'll sell it. Or trade it. I cannot give it up to this thief, She told herself, still breathing pretty heavily to clear her body of the smoke. She could smell it in her clothes. Noticing the thief back away, Nae lowered her wings slightly to appear less threatening.
Ashavia did not apreciate being mocked. She grinded her teeth iritably. This wont be as easy as I thought. She thought watching the girl closer now. Ashavia had thought that the other pendragon had regained all of her strength before, but more seemed to flood through her. Ashavia was not swayed, she was confident in her skills. Her cautious mind reminded her she could get away. She straitened up and stood her ground, weighting her options. "That is hardly a bargain! You said it would be mine if I guessed." Ashavia looked childish now. It was a trick she had adopted, the inocent act. Her small size helped with the act as most pendragons could not even tell her true age so they could axcept her inocence. She was not sure if she could get away with it, but she had spent this much time already trying to get the bag and she would get compensation one way or another. "Its not fair. I earned it." Ashavia knew this was a long streach. Yet the female had already lowered her wings, a sign of mercy perhaps? Besides it might at least draw the other pendragon into a false sense of security. Then Ashavia could find some other way.
