It shattered on the floor, and the drunk was on the ale in a second, lapping it greedily. He had failed to find the slight difference in taste than usual... and another pendragon in the corner had noticed this. Damn drunks... that one's acting too much like a vampire. Sighing, he folded up the piece of paper he'd been reading. It was a note from the bartender, informing him that the drink had indeed been cursed. Soon, the drunk would be uncontrollably tired, and fall asleep. Not even the bartender was aware of this, but Vlad's plan to get the premature vampire was working. Brushing his hair out of his colourless eyes, Vlad's pupils grew slightly as another pendragon entered. It wasn't a vampire... he could sense the presence of other vampires. It was a special ability which he used to his advantage. This could be interesting...
Xavier walked into the dirty bar and took a quick look around. He saw the guy licking brown stuff on the floor and burst out laughing. Thats pretty sad! he managed to say to the drunk between his bouts of laughter and sat down near the only non creepy person (or so he thought) there, which turned out to be Vlad. Hey Bartender!, Gimme something strong!, I need sumin to get me drunk enough to get the memory of that He pointed at the drunk on the floor. Outta my mind He leaned forward across the table. Tell me, why are you a vamp killer? If he had chosen the right guy, he was supposed to kill him before dawn. His employer hadn't offered much, but the vampire was anxious to get him off the streets he liked to prowl. Xavier needed something to do, and so he accepted, if he liked the guy, maybe he would go after the vamp instead...
His ears flicked slightly when the black 'dragon sat at the same table as him. Company... I guess I'll have to handle him carefully. Vlad casually checked his paws, as if the near invisible scars were simply not there. Which wasn't too difficult. The question brought his mind into focus. Damn. Looks like my reputation's even gotten into the depths of Bhim... if he's even from there. With a sigh, he rested his paw on the table. Best to answer honestly. As always. "Let me put it simply." He drummed his fingers on the table, glancing about the bar. The drunk was back at the table; the curse hadn't really taken effect. Yet. "When a pendragon is very young... say, below five years of age... they're at their most impressionable. Make a disaster happen, and they'll grow up haunted and afraid, even if they don't admit it. Change their species forcibly, and..." He lifted his hand. "You're bound to get a really unhappy kid." After a few moments, he looked up and spoke, this time fairly softly. "I went through the latter."
Ah... so you've had a screwed up childhood and now you're trying to make the world a better place by killing vamps? He unsheathed a throwing kinfe from his side and spun it on the table. Well, I think that not all vamps are bad... I've met a few respectable ones during my life, You should really check out the ones you're going to kill...
A small female walked through the door. She had a cloak about her and she held it tight as a nearby drunk tried to pull it off. She noticed the two speaking at the table and the drunk by the bar. She slowly wavered over to another table and quietly ordered a drink. A wary eye remained all over the pub
A green female slunk through the door, glaring at those around her, as though she could ward them off with a glare. It looked as though she could, as no one seemed to bother her. She headed straight towards a quiet group of ‘dragons, and sat down next to the female, she ordered a drink and turned to the 'dragon next to her. “Hello" she said, offering a small smile.
Hi she replied as a warm smile light her face. she might as well be friendly because it seemed this new female may be her only ally in the entire pub. She glared over her shoulder sat a rowdy group of drunks as they sung loudly. she covered her ears with her hands. it was so noisy in here.
Kuss giggled at this new acquaintance behavior, and covered her own ears in agreement. Over the din she asked “And you are…?"
Xavier sighed and picked up the knife from the table. Jus a sec... He said to Vlad, and walked over to the singing drunks. Only a minute or two later, he walked back to the table, the knife, and his titanium replacment claws dripping with blood. He took a look back. The drunks were cut to ribbons, most were dead, but several were still twitching in various stages of shock and unconsciousness. The Bartender had fainted and was slumped across the bar. the only people left conscious were the four. Xavier had also killed the drunk that had been lapping brown stuff from the floor... Well, there are now no vamps left that you NEED to kill right away, so lets talk...
She pulled back her hood, revealing redish fur atop her head. Tvim she supplied helpfully. She looked around the bar disgustedly. She turned around and called to the male who slaughtered all of the drunks That was unnesacarry! tiny fangs were visible as she opened her mouth wide to scream at the bloodthirsty male.
Xavier snorted. Listen lady, I don't need a lecture, it's my job, so back off! He walked over to the bar, bragged a jar of olives sititng there and brought it back to the table. After eating a few he took one and flicked it at Tvim, hitting her squarely in the nose. He sniggered and turned back to Vlad...
Kuss picked up her full glass and threw it at the wall behind the bloody male, where in shattered. Ignoring him, she offered her hand to Tvim. “I’m Kussauj. I’m very pleased to meet you!"
Pleased as well Kussauj. But I dont think this was the most pleasant time to meet. Tvim glanced down at her empty glass For now there is no one to refill our glasses she said laughingly before tossing the glass over her shoulder and making sure it hit Xavier smack in the head.
Xavier laughed to himself and caught the glass and set it gently down on the table, luckily he had been listening in to their conversation. I wouldn't want to make me mad... he warned them, and threw the glass up in the air above their heads, whipped out his sniper rifle from the holster on his back, and made the glass explode in a shower of shards...
"I hate little show-offs like you." Kuss grumbled, then added “I guess I don’t want to annoy you, but I would like to. Let’s make a deal; I won’t annoy you, if you don’t annoy me. Sound good?" She pulled out a pencil, and began doodling on the table.
Tvim's arm shot out as she grasped all of the shards the glass had broken into. While doing this she stood angrily. She drew her hand back and tightened it. When she opened it, tiny glittering specks flew out and onto the wind that her telekineses had drawn to blow into the pub. she stalked over to Xavier, put her mouth near his ear and whispered. I don't think you want Thi or Drsuj to know about this. she said smirking. She spun on her heel and sat back down at the table. Savoring the look of surprise she expected was on his face now.
"Iyo abel lessla jus" muttered Kuss. She hated people like him. "I hope you die" she told him. Turning to Tvim she said "So, do you know him?" gestering at Xavier.
No she admitted But he looks like someone two people i've met were attacked by and saved his life
Xavier simply stared at her. You're probably a telepath... You don't even know them! he accused, and snorted and went back to his seat. He muttered something under his breath and slammed his fist down onto the table, sending several cracks running along it's surface...
"Stop breaking the furniture. ItÂ’s not nice." Kuss said matter-of-factly. "You annoy me, so be quiet. WhyÂ’d you kill them anyway?" she said, gesturing to the bar. "That was just plain stupid."
