    .:In Character:.

A thin drizzle of rain tapped out a gentle tattoo against the broad leaves of the tropical foliage, tge droplets converging together to drip fown to soak into the forest floor. The air was alive with the sounds of all manner of nocturnal animal and insects calling and chirping their strange, foreign songs. Muffled sounds of protest screamed out from the higher reaches of the twisting trees as a dark form wove it's way through the thick undergrowth; making barely a whisper aside from a few snapped twigs under-paw.

A vulpine muzzle broke through a small stand of ferns, a single crimson eye glaring out from under a thick thatch of bladed hair. The opposite eye and surrounding patch of face was completely hidden by that same almost flourescent mane of violet. Ears tipped in that same hue flicked forward as the dark leather of the arden's nose twitched experimentally. The night air carried with it the far off scent of rain -the thunderstorm that had produced the residual spotting of clouds that continued to sprinkle the jungle- as well as many foreign scents, some flora and some fauna. It was the fauna that worried the 'dragon most. Everything was foreign to the native of Dhruv; the heartlands of Swaraj were completely new and unknown to him. Ergo, he had foolishly wandered around aimlessly for days now, living off whatever small prey he could snap up in his mangled jaws.

It was his maw that kept him going. That dull, hot ache that intensified to a sharp stabbing pain whenever his moved his mouth. Scar tissue on the right side of his face had been re-opened, then healed over as per usual. Unfourtunately, the warmth of this place seemed to stimulate his bodies healings abilites beyond their usual speed, and the wounds had closed over before potentially infectious bacteria had been allowed to drain. Thus, he now suffered from a series of small pocketed infections -absceses- that threatened to destroy even more facial tissue.

The infections were comprimising his bodies immune system, leaving him feverish and light headed as all of his bodies available resources fought the growing infection. How many days had he sought civilization now? Three, four? Maybe more... Time had begun to run together for him; only telling the days apart from when The Bugs Bit More, and When They Bit Less. Right now was The Time When The Bugs Bit More.

Uncaring if some predator saw him, he padded out from his hiding place in the ferns, entering a small clearing in the thick jungle. His only functioning eyes immediately honed in on the slightly rippling surface of a pond, rimmed by some unknown species of flowering reed. Instinct took over reason, and he plunged his muzzle into the chill waters, almost sighing in relief as the cold liquid soothed his hurting face.

  2. Jac Embupaj was busy allowing her mind to wander. She was laying on her back, her head laying against some leaves and reeds she had managed to collect so she could rest her head. Her light green fur moved slightly with the small breeze, and her dark blue eyes gazed up longingly at the stars. Oh how much she wished she could be up there, flying in the darkness of space...But for now, the only she could do was watch. Her eyes were strange, to others. They had no pupils, and if you looked in her eyes, you almost thought you could see the cosmos deep inside of her soul. You'd of course have to be lucky to even get that close to her.

She was a very shy 'dragon, and kept to herself. She mainly read about the universe in books, and searched for planets and stars in the sky. She was very wise in this manner, but on the planet, she was very...Clumsy and awkward. But she tried not to let it down. The thin black appendages, her antenna, twitched on the top of her head as she thought she sensed something nearby. She shrugged it off at first, not afraid of something attacking her...She wasn't extremely well known, and she knew none of the fauna would attack, as she was probably the biggest thing around.

It wasn't until she heard a splash of something in the water that she turned her head to see. She watched as a 'dragon of dark color drank from the water nearby. She sat up onto her haunches, and cocked her head. She inspected the new disturbance. It's figure seemed male, so she guessed on that. But she also guessed on the way he was drinking that he must have come from a long way. He also looked exhuasted...She decided to take a chance and ask if the newcomer needed any help. She could always bring him to her cave to get him some herbs and things. If things came to worse, she hoped she would be strong enough to throw him off. She just hoped for the latter.

She went over to the pond, and purred, sitting down and curling her tail against her body, while perking her antenna in interest. "<span style='color:green'>Hello there. You seem...Thirsty</span>." She kept her head cocked in interest, ready to jump away if needed. She just hoped he was friendly...It wasn't every day she met someone new.

  3. Muzzle immersed in the chill waters, Kurokemuri’s ears flicked at the sound of anothers voice, just audible over the sound of night insects and the trickle of the water. He pulled up slowly, thick fur plastered to his skull and hair hanging lank over the side of his face. His single crimson eye focused on the other ‘dragon, slit pupil enlarging to take advantage of the star and moonlight that illuminated the area.

How had he missed the other being? Maybe his fever was affecting himÂ… yes. That had to be itÂ… One of the best hunters to ever come from Dhruv did not simply wander around bumping into others and then go acting like a surprised cub. His siblings would be laughing at him right about now.

His brain went through the instinctive checklist that was hardwired into him, trying to figure out whether or not the female was a threat. No silent alarms went off, so that was a good sign. Wearily he tried to comprehend what she had said. Something about him… ‘thirsty’? His knack for the common tongue was somewhat less than adequate for most situations, but he was fluent in Ramathian, although as he spoke it came out rather stilted.

“Shejtsi... My. Ni vuka... es hojst."
