A soft breeze was blowing through the forest on this particular night. It carried a chill that could strike some to the very bone; clearly a night where even the wind knew something was about. And the wind would not be far from these assumptions.

Six hours past sunset was specifically what the information that had been sent out had said. The information circulated itself in some of the darkest, deepest, and most fowl corners of this world. It had been a long time that it was planned, and still only a select few would journey here.

The snow had stopped falling for this night, which was fortunate for those who had arrived. They were around a campfire, staying there for warmth. About fifteen or twenty of them, various subspecies of Pendragons. None looked very special, and all of them looked quite nasty. There were some there around the age of Thirty, possibly seeking a way to attain the power that was promised, and some as young as Fifteen, looking like they wanted to make a way for themselves in this world.

The group of people were talking amongst themselves, various things from bragging their own accomplishments to wondering who could be so bold as to organize this whole idea. Truth be told, a few of the people there wished to challenge this bold being, and claim his head.

Either way, it seemed as though this Being could show up any minute.

<table class=ooc><tr><td>Feel free to join in if ya want your character to become part of this soon to form group.</td></tr></table>

  2. In the shadows of the night, a small Pendragon such as Gem wouldn't normally be spotted, yet his glasses caught the orange glow of the campfire and amplified it, making him two floating spots just outside the circle of huddled up bodies.

Gem Reddington did not like breezes and cold nights, and he especially didn't like people who love breezes and cold nights, but he loved being evil. That's why he was down there that day, mingling with the idiots who loved cold. He wasn't supposed to know that the meeting was going on, apparently he wasn't considering evil enough, but he had learned anyway and had come. Mostly just to spite those who thought he wasn't evil.

He crunched the snow as he pulled his clothes tighter to his body, the metal claw at the end of his tail stinging each time a breeze touched it. He didn't want to get near the campfire because of the metal claw - it could hurt when it got hot - but he didn't want to stay so far away he'd freeze.

He awaited the Being with anticipation that showed clearly on his young face.

  3. Mephistae stood behind the gathering pendragons, in the dark forest. The light of the moon exposed him for what he was, a demon of the shadows.

Ever since I banished that weak fool to Fronima, I have taken control of Mephistae's body and have, become much stronger than before. That voice rang through his head. Kayhda, the demon who had stolen Mephistae's soul, lived on. Thought to be destroyed by Baal, his brother. He grinned. Everything always worked out for master Kayhda, ruler of souls. He clenched his fist. It was time for him to test his skills. If he could become friends with these fools, then he could destroy them just as easy. It was perfect. He removed himself from the shadows, his body in full contact with the moon.

"I seek to join the group, soon to be formed here".

He had taken Mephistae's powers of seerism for himself.

  4. Xavier stumbled upon the metting quite by accident, half drunk, but once hearing the group's plan, he grew interested and decided to join in. His parasite spirit was screaming with joy when he did decide, but no matter, his host didn't care much at all what the spirit thought. He put the cap on his flask, in an attempt to stay sober to try and remember what the hell happened tonight... Hopefully he would be successful...

  5. The fire burned brightly, and the voiced picked up around it. Many were growing very impatient; some believing that it was all a trick. Then, one person said "I seek to join the group, soon to be formed here". , a rather burly fellow, having arms like cupboards and legs like trees, stood up, looking towards him.

"Aye, if ye want te join, then sit down an' shut it. We're waitin' for da boss."

And, as if this man's words had sparked some pure rage of nature, the wind picked up. It began to blow a hollering gale, pressed on by the will of some unknown force. The fire burned brighter than many that have been seen, and grew to heights taller than the bulky man. The band around it shifted back and shielded their eyes as the wind roared around them, and the fire seemed to threaten to engulf them.

And then, nothing. The wind almost instantly stopped, and the fire went out, shrouding them all in darkness. Silence was all that would be heard at that moment. The darkness had become the ears of the forest.

And then the fire suddenly burst back to life, causing the group of men to set their eyes on it out of pure fear. However, what they saw was much different than what they were expecting. There was a Pendragon standing beside the fire. A tall Pendragon, who closely resembled a more Draconic nature, having the wings and large tail. His crimson red scales glistened in the light of the fire.

"... Sorry to have kept you all waiting." His voice was dark and deep, one not to be taken lightly. Though, once he spoke, the men took notice of his face. A bandage was wrapped around his eyes. A blind man?! "I've gathered you all here because, as you are aware, I am looking for the best of the best to join with me."

"Aye! Yew dun look dat tough!" The bearly man said, standing up. Indeed, he was taller than the Draconic male, and much larger in muscle size.

"No? Strike me then." The Blind Man didn't even move his head in the direction of the larger male, who simply gave a roar and charged with great aggression toward the Blind Man. However, moments before he would strike, the Blind Man ducked down with alarming speed and struck the man's stomach with such a tremendous force that the fire shook. And, as if to add insult to this injury, the Blinded Man jumped upward and caught his shoulders, doing some intricate flip in mid-air, literally sending the Big Man hurtling across the woods into a tree.

The Blind Man landed with his arms folded over his chest, but didn't turn his face to see anyone in particular. "... Anyone else question my capacities?" The crowd was silent, currently in awe of the raw physical power this one appeared to possess.

"... Good. I am Daemon, and those of you who I see worthy will join with me." He outstretched one of his clawed hands, and fire jumped into it, forming a globe mere inches above his palm. Apparently, he had quite the amount of power backing his words. "... And together, we shall take this world, and recreate it in our image." He clenched his fist, causing the flames to disperse into smoke.

He turned suddenly, pointing the index claw of that finger directly at Gem, letting his face turn towards him as well. "You. Tell me why you have come." If this guy had eyes, they'd probably be staring two holes right though Gem's head right now. Even without them, his 'gaze' was remarkably intense.

  6. Gem felt slightly giddy as he was called upon. Even though he should have feared it - that question, when asked by evil people, tended to have a right and wrong answer - he didn't. Of course, he always enjoyed evil.

Walking rather slowly, the short, childlike pendragon moved closer to the fire, puffing out his chest subconsciously.

He opened his mouth to speak... then closed it. What, exactly, was he planning on saying?

"I came here because..." He started.

He could mentally hear the giggles and mocking of other people around the campfire, but he didn't mind them. He had to find the right words. He liked this 'Daemon' fellow, and hoped, perhaps, to figure out how to harness that sort of power himself.

Ah! He knew how to phrase it now...

"Some other people might have tales about how they want revenge on the Graders or whatever, but I don't have anything like that. I came because I wanted to mingle with people who felt about evil as I do-" he purred "-nothing more or less."

He hoped that was the 'right answer'.

  7. "Fly by my side and you shall attain all the knowledge of evil that you could hunger for in a hundred life times." Daemon spread his draconic wings out, then shifted his pose, letting his arm fall down, before folding his wings over his shoulders. It looked as though he were now wearing some royal cape. And apparently, Gem had given the right answer.

His thick tail came up beside himself, the blue flame tip burning against the darkness, like some beacon for evil to follow.

Mephistae was the next to be singled out in the croud. Daemon's opposite arm lifted, and his claw pointed toward Mephistae, indicating him over all the rest at this point. "And you. You claim to wish to join, but why? Speak strong, for your words will be your defense in this trial. I am Judge, Jury, Prosecutor, and Executioner. My words can be your salvation, while my blade casts off your soul." Strong words from a bind man. But then, Daemon had already shown that he contained his own assortment of power.

    <table class=ooc><tr><td> :( I just bit my toung...</td></tr></table>

Mephistae let out a long, echoed laugh. This Daemon fellow, he had a great sence of humour. He stuck out his finger at Daemon and laughed.

I have no soul, you foolish one, I am tainted beyond repair.

    He concentrated.

I wish to join because I wish to join, that is final.

He wasn't looking to make a good impression, he was looking for a group of people to push around, this would be the one. He liked to mess with peoples minds, push them to the edge, to test them.

Besides, I make a fine demon, would you like to see? he said in the mind of Daemon.

  9. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Ouch for your tongue. Oh, and after my next post, we can start up a normal chain-posting system.</td></tr></table>

"Excellent." Daemon turned away from Mephistae, looking back toward the group and spreading his arms out. "Now that is raw, unconditional evil. Fearless, and without remorce over spilled words. One who lacks a soul need not fear my blade." He smiled, which would be a first in this light. And damn, he really should never smile. It didn't make him look nice at all, it made him look extremely wicked, and on some insane level of evil.

"... Oh, I'd love to see, but I am blind, oh foolish one." Words that only Mephistae would gather the meaning of, for they were in response to what was spoken in Daemon's mind.

His clawed hand then pointed to Xavier, and he sniffed the air once. Smoke then came out of the nostrils, and the smile faded from his face. "... And what of you? You, who reek of Alocoholic Induction? What would I need you for? Why are you here?" It seemed as though Daemon had come down to the last person with his words, wanting to know exactly what were in these three people's heads above all else. Did his blind eyes see something more important?

  10. Xavier changed in an instant. <span style='color:yellow'>We are here because he was foolish, and because I have an appetite for destruction.</span> The Beast grinned, revealing his triple rows of razor sharp teeth, and huge lower jaw tusks. Dark energy seeped from his body, forcing the other meeting members away from him, or face suffocation. <span style='color:yellow'>Now tell me while I'm here, before the idiot realises I took control...</span>

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class=ooc><tr><td>It begins... lol I love that line... :P :D </td></tr></table>

  11. Daemon didn't seem the least effected over the current wave of darkness, hell he seemed to strive in it if anything.

"... I think you just showed us why you are here." Daemon's words were calm and simple toward him, and was, at this point, the shortest response to any singular individual.

Daemon then jumped backward, landing atop a treebranch sticking off of a tree. A fair leap too. The fires burned brighter, illuminating him upon the branch. "Those of you brave enough, strong enough, and dark enough to join with me, follow. We shall take this land as ours, and nothing will stand in our way." Daemon waved one of his hands, and the ground near them shifted, grinding to the side. It revealed a long tunnel down below ground. An underground base, it would seem.

"All wishing to be a part of my new world, step into the darkness, and embrace this light. This home is only temporary." Torches lit themselves along the wall of the cave, traveling down into the abyss.

Many of the men who had gathered made their way down, eager to be a part of whatever this one had planned. It seemed that they were awe-struck by the power he seemed to have. Hell, even the big guy he had tossed around went down.

Daemon, however, jumped down from the tree before the three specific individuals had their chance to enter the 'cave'.

"... You three. I would like a word, if it is not too much of a burden." He looked to no one in particular, and spoke to none in particular. His booming voice had faded down, much more quiet and held back than before.

  12. Mephistae let out a large, booming laugh. He lived for the darkness. Maybe, in time he would show them his home in Fronima, beyond the depths of the place they call hell. He decided to transform into full demon form, just in case this was a test of some sort. His ego was intense and he always demanded to be on top.

He grew in size by about 4 feet, his wings lengthening, his claws growing. Two large horns, curved, appeared on either side of his head. His skin glowed and burned with a passion of fire, turning a deep red colour. His eyes, the last part of the transformation, turned piercing and yellow. He grinned. His voice was dark, devious and destructive. The entire place shook when he walk, his feet now the size of large rocks. He walked over to Daemon.

In his demonic voice he replyed "What do you want?".

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>If you want a picture of what he sorta looks like now check the picture in my profile...</td></tr></table>

  13. <span style='color:yellow'>I am ready for anything, Ready even, to go back to hell...</span> The Beast said in his booming, distorted voice, and let out a howl to the sky. <span style='color:yellow'>And if it need be, I shall listen to you...</span> He said, and leaned forward onto his knuckles, his claws scoring deep into the soil, the dark energy coming from him like a torrent...

  14. Gem watched everything with wide, cat-like eyes that were often associated with his admiration. He followed Daemon, no questions asked, and purred silently in his throat.

    He wanted that power.

"Get out of my way, pomd tmevvaj!" He whispered in the direction of his first potential threat towards his race to the top - Mephistae. He had to be Daemon's best friend. HAD TO BE. There were no likable exceptions. None at all. "I'm first."

He pushed past Mephistae - making sure to use most of his strength to not appear wimpy - and got right beside Daemon, standing in the Pendragons much larger shadow. There was no campfire to point him out so he was hard to spot.

"What is it you'd like to discuss?" He asked, trying to sound annoyed. "Is it about membership? Ranking? Power?" As an afterthought: "Blowing things up?"

Ah, his favorite hobby. He hoped it was that, although he didn't really expect it.

  15. Daemon put a hand on Gem's shoulder when he arrived, before he decided to speak. "Py mys ra ty woekc sy emtols; ulleat uja engyjsums em leva." The words were quiet, and directed only to Gem.

"... You three are the greatest of potentials that have arrived here." He tilted his head down toward Gem, though he was not directly looking at him.

"You will be my Right Hand." He then turned his head up toward Xavier. "... You will be my Left Hand." His face then finished these movements, turning up to Mephistae. '... And you will be my Shadow."

He took his hand off of Gem's shoulder, then folded his arms. "... My Right Hand requires guidance, though it does not lack power. My Left has the knowledge to help the Right. My Shadow shall be a force of fear, needing no words to show its power. You three shall be these. There are none above you three, though there will be a fourth. However, I have yet to find that fourth person."

Wow, pretty odd words. He was either a genius, or a crack pot. Either way, he was powerful, so I wouldn't call him crazy right off the bat.

  16. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Sorry about the short post, I gotta get off soon. </td></tr></table>

Mephistae grinned. He was best at being a shadow, a shadow which would destroy all in his way. This was going to be much more fun than he expected. Especially if he could indulge in the blood of innocent pendragons, his favourite.

He looked at the pendragon who had pushed him slightly and shot him a dark glance.

If you ever do that again I will snap your neck in less than a second, are we clear?

  17. [OOC: I have four RP's going on at once. XD I doubt any of us will have nice sized posts for a while.]

Gem felt his ego boost as Daemon announced him the right-hand man. Even though left-hand seemed equal, as a general rule the Right-Hand was more often used and trusted.

And Mephy's attitude really sucks, He thought, aiming his thoughts towards Mephistae. I doubt he'd last very long.

Gem smiled, looking mischevious as he did - looking like his true self, in other words.

He seemed to have forgotten Daemon's helpful instructions about the left hand helping the right. For the moment, he focused his thoughts on power... and what it would be like to blow Mephy up.

Though Daemon spoke true about allies, Gem never was one to like "sibling" like people. He had set his eyes on Daemon's power and trust, and nobody was going to get in the way.

This was, perhaps, why Gem was alone. But he didn't care. As long as he got what he wanted, he was happy.

    Or was he?

  18. The Beast snarled, and grabbed Gem by the scruff of his neck. He pinned him to a nearby tree. <span style='color:yellow'>I am not one to follow order either fool, but if I ever catch you thinking like that again, I'll kill you, and eat your flesh and soul...</span> And with that, he blew a waft of dark energy into Gem's face and dropped him, to turn back to Daemon. <span style='color:yellow'>Daemon, I shall follow you, but know that I can only do your bidding while in control. While my mortal host has full control, you will never be able to count on me. I'll give you a hint, Use light energy, the full moon gives me power too...</span> He wandered off to the side after giving Gem a hateful look and grinning beastally at Mephistae. He's out for you Mephistae, I advise you to watch your back... He muttered telepathically, and dug himself a pit to lie in, as was his custom when listening to someone...

<table class=ooc><tr><td>I'm at school so this post is going to be kinda short M'kay? Sorry...</td></tr></table>

Mephistae uttered a droning laugh in his devilish voice.

"I would advise that fool to watch his own back ..." he said lifting his hand into a fist above his head. He grinned. The shadow would always win for his leader. He had some respect for this Daemon fellow but would never show his weakness.
