"Oh trust me mister Sun, you would be anything but pleased to hear our creation story..."

Barrak smirked. Barrak was used to being ridiculed again and again about how he came to be. Some pendragons where grossly misinformed and believed that the Elementals actually were rapine...

"Wait. As much as I don't want you to know this, it's best you hear it from us than by rumour of some know it all Artak."

Barrak took Ramix's invitation inside. Obviously he felt more comforted inside, how he continuously persisted that they go inside. Barrak looked up and noticed the tapestry on the wall. God I do look like him...

"Alright Ramix. I am very surprised you don't know how we came to be, because it seems to be common knowledge these days. Anaa, Kiiha and I were not born as you were. We were... created. And the reason Anaa and Kiiha have been speaking in rapin is because thats exactly what we were created by..."

Barrak took a moment to let the first wave of embarassment sink it. He now thinks we are disgusting and wants us the hell out of his house...

"His name was Vortex. He wasn't like other rapine because he had been severed from them. He himself didn't even know he was a rapine. Actually, funny story, he thought he was a mutated alligator. Ahem, ok it's not funny... He created us, Ramix."

Barrak paused. Both Keahi and Anemes looked saddened. The story always hurt when they had to tell it. This time, for Barrak and for Ramix, the story really hit home.

"We were created during the last war. I am not exactly sure how Vortex pulled it off... but... ahem... we do know that he used donors... for his research."

The blood drained from Ramixes face he feard this he has heard many tales of tere creation but this was obviously the true one and it could quite posibly be where his fathers body turned up.

    He gulped and said

Well Barrak i guess there is not much more to say on the topic except may my fathers body bring you beter fortune than it did he on the field of battle. I thank you for your honesty.

Ramix slumped in his chair and realised what had happend to his father he was sadened of course but he had grieved for his father many years ago and the deed had been done. So he took another bite of his salad and got up again

And yes Mr Barrak i have a sister as well

with saying that Ramix walked over to another desk and pulled out a long thin stick of metal with a oval on the end and went back to the table. He then pulled the wishbone out of one of the cooked birds and tapped it 3 times with the rod each tap the bone changed color until it was made of steel. Ramix then channeled fire into it and tied it on a metal chain and handed it to Kehai.

Your frozen socks gave me the idea for this one when you wear it it iwll keep your body warm enough as to not get stuck to ice

Ramix chuckled and looked back to Barrak

so my friend what brings you to Ramath-Lehi?

  2. OOC Matt you are a pain in the butt.
    BAC

Barrak let out a long sigh. He had worried that by hearing his father's body had been used in a freak experiment and was now standing infront of him with some imposter controling it, Ramix might have had a different and quite possibly more hostile reaction. I suppose confirmation of his father's death could be somewhat comforting...

"I apologise for being the bearer of this disturbing news, but I thought it best that you hear it from me."

Standing a few feet away from Barrak, Keahi suddenly perked up from his own thoughts and crooked his head to Barrak's words. Barrak was the best at using english but Keahi always strived to learn it as best he could.

    "http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=GlossarySsana</a> this word disterbin mean?"

Keahi asked. Barrak, who had been caught up in his own thoughts, shot an angry glance at him for speaking out so suddenly. It was something Keahi did much too often, sticking his nose in where it simply shouldn't be. This was not the time nor place to be giving his brother an english lesson.

"http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=GlossaryGrun</a> narrn Kiiha! Une errf narrn n ine prrr-soo une ptar!"

Barrak hissed under his breath. The harsh words sounded almost intimidating comming from Barrak because of his deep voise, like the low growl of a dragon. Barrak tried to refrain from using Rapine as much as he could, but when dealing with his siblings, he found the best results came from the Rapine language. He told Keahi that if he kept his mouth shut, he would explain it later. This answer was not good enough for Keahi. He was the kind of guy who once he had his mind set on something, he couldn't put it off until later.

    "But ine wanna grunss!

Keahi insisted that he should know the word.

"It means grraw. Bad news, Kiiha. It's bad news."

Barrak caved. He translated the word under his breath for Keahi. Keahi shut up and sat back on his haunches. There that's all I wanted to know. Was that too hard? It was then that Keahi caught Ramix's motion out of the corner of his eye. He was tinkering with a piece of bone from the food. As he tapped the bone, it changed colour. Keahi's large eyes widened, giving him the appearance of a young nioti. Barrak followed Keahi's eyes and saw Ramix work the fire into the piece. As Ramix finished and handed the necklace to Keahi, Barrak bit his lip to keep him from protesting. Oh geese this isn't good. The last time I tried to teach Keahi some fire elemental magic he burned Anemes so bad we had to hunt her down on Trilok.

"Mmah? It's to keep ine mmah?" Keahi asked somewhat perplexed as he was handed the necklace. He caught out of the corner of his eye another shot glance from Barrak. "Oh! Thank you Ramix. There is http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=Glossarygrun</a> word for Thank you in our language... so http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=GlossaryIne</a> forget sometimes."

The glance wasn't a reminder to say thanks. Anemes had caught sight of the fire charm and backed up agaisnt the wall of the dinning room. Barrak trotted over to Ramix and was about to ask something when Ramix asked why they were on Ramath. Barrak made a quick decision to ignore the question for now. He could get into that in a moment. He had to address the possible problem at hand. Barrak leaned over and quietly said,

"The little magic trinket you gave Keahi, can he get at the elemental magic inside or is it a sealed spell? You see he wasn't designed to be capable of handling fire magic..."

Barrak had never seen fire used in this way before. He wasn't sure as to what dergree of elemental magic Ramix was capable of, and therefore was weary of the knid of power the trinket might possess.

    OOC
There Matt. I hopes you can reply to that. I will bring in the bad news thing in the next post...

  3. Ramix looked at Barrack with a questioning look then realised that these guys had probably never seen one ofRamixes inventions before.

HEH i assure you Barrack it is perfectly safe he cannot get at the magic inside and it can be used for nothing more than to keep one warm.

Ramix chuckled at the remark he had made. He then said to Barrack

you see Barrack i am one of Ramath-lehi's best inventors next to the world renouned Talis but you see the difference between my inventions and others that makes me stand out is that all of mine are powered by some sort of magic locked inside.

Ramix looked at Anemes and thought that maby she was getting jealous because she hadent said anything in a whyle. he then using thought speech asked Barrack

Say Barrack do you think Anemes is getting jealous because i didnt make her something?

Ramix then sat back in his chair and grabbed a piece of a melony type fruit and began to gnaw on it pondering over something Anemes would like for him to make...

  4. Barrak's ears perked up as Ramix spoke to him thorugh telepathy. He wasn't used to hearing it and the thought of Ramix inside his head made him a little weary. In his surprise, Barrak realized that his flames had picked up and he was burning with a little more intensity. It wasn't easy for him to stop himself once the flames got bigger. He just had to wait until he calmed down.

"There is really no need for telepathy, Ramix," Barrak uttered, hoping Ramix would catch the hint, "Anemes can't understand you anyways. And Keahi..."

Barrak's gaze wandered over to Keahi's location, not to far from Anemes. He was still oogaling over the trinket, he had not yet tried to put it on or use it. He was far to busy chattering to Anemes in pure rapine. He repeating Ramix's words and describing that it couldn't be used to burn her. Anemes was apparently not buying it.

Barrak turned back to Ramix to study his face, trying to depict if the pendragon was still in his mind.

"I don't think she's jealous, no. I am the only one she trusts to use fire. I think you just freaked her out is all. I was surprised you got her in here in the first place...didn't think she'd trust Keahi enough to watch her back."

Anemes was starting to feel a little crowded by Keahi and his new toy. He continued to try and explain it to her, but she refused to listen. After a few minutes more of his rapine chatter, Anemes decided to leave. Because she was backed up against the wall, her ice had frozen her hind quarters to it. With a loud shatter, she broke free, sending small slivers of ice skittering across the floor. She took off at a bit of a gallop and ran straight for Ramix.

The loud noise startled Keahi and he dropped the necklace and took off up to the rafters of the palace. He cirlced the roof twice before perching on a large chandelier. Barrak turned in time to see Anemes charging right for Ramix. He closed his eyes and awaited the hiss of fire to ice as Anemes would crash into the elder pendragon. However the sound never came. Barrak peeked open one eye to see Anemes standing behind Ramix, in a cowaring possition, staring at the necklace that layed on the floor a few metres away.

"I could be wrong about the her being affraid of you thing..."

    Barrak said, puzzled.

  5. Ramix Tared down at Anemes and then back up to barrak and in an extremely animated style scratched the back of his head

Uhhhhh your siblings seem a little jumpy Barrak is there anythign i can do to put them more at ease

Said Ramix as he slowly sckootched away from the scared little icecube and looked up at kehi hanging off his chandelier

Ramix figured that a little fresh air might do some good so lgihting the outside lights yet again he opend the doors with a flow of air and following the opening the peacful wave of night insect sounds and moonlight poured into the room. Ramix certainly felt at ease he found those noises incredily soothing and he often slept with his patio doors open.

Using a flow of air Ramix picked up the necklce and handed it to Barrak

i will give this to you Barrak to give to kehi when you think Anemes wont ge... jittery.

with that ramix stared amusingly at kehi dangling with some effort off his swaying chandelier...

  6. Barrak watched as Ramix opened the patio doors. He re-lit the lights and picked up the necklace that had been dropped on the floor. Barrak showed some discomfort when Ramix motioned to hand him the necklace. Barrak usually didn't come into physical contact with other pendragons, mainly because the inferno that engulfd his body couldn't be chilled as a tail-flame could. Barrak raised a paw and and motioned the necklace away.

    "Can't handle it Ramix..."

Barrak gently blew on his paw and then gave it a little shake to show that the flames couldn't be extinguished.

    "You understand."

Barrak had been having a hard enough time keeping his paws off Ramix's nice red carpet and on Anemes frozen footprints. From above, Keahi rocked slightly on the chandelier, trying to keep his balance with socked feet. Anemes looked briefly at the her dangling brother, and then tool Ramix's offer to move the conversation outside. She may not understand words, but by opening the doors, it was clear to her that they were being let outside(not that they were being kept inside).

Barrak shifted his wieght as Anemes walked by. Why did she go to Ramix for protection and not me? Barrak thought for a moment and then looked up at Ramix with a tinge of his own jealousy. His wings burned like Barrak's flesh did. Ramix's tail was an added weapon. Barrak held no bladed body parts to his name. His toes were clawed and his teeth sharp, but in comparison to Ramix's tail blade, they simply wouldn't do. Barrak's eyes gazed about the hall and to all of the other weapons and armor that littered his palace. Finally resting his eyes back on Ramix, his opinion of the elder 'dragon had changed. Perhaps he was not the magnificent healer he lead on to be. He could seal magic and his dwelling reeked of combat. He was obviously well knoleged in science and therefore had something in common with an old foe. Barrak suddenly felt as if he were back on Earth, the surroundings of the palace and the company he now kept reminded him of it. Barrak took a few steps closer to Ramix, his jealousy and anxiousness comming out in one calm and cool sentence.

"You'd better not try anything on us Artak. The weapons on the walls and your knowledge of elemental magic lead me to believe you may pracitise something other than the art of a healer, Mister Sun..."

With his chilling words Barrak took after Anemes to move the conversation outside, where he himself might feel a little more comfortable. Keahi, landed a few feet infront of Ramix with dull thud. His eyes were narrow with concern.

"Don't nii-narrn er take, don't take it personally Rrramix. It's in iinite blood to want to fight..."

  7. Even after keahi's reasurance Ramix felta little offended at Barrak's comment he realised that his family had history and war was a part of that but Ramix had been nothing but nice to Barrak even after he found out Barrak's soul was wearing the remains of his father like an overcoat.

Ramix felt a boil of anger inside himself but it was distant. he realised it was not him that was angry in full it was Selnity as well she left the same feeling that stayed after you had a dream that got you angry and selenity must have been sencing the preces of her former fathers body.

In the past neither of then had been able to sence eachother at all from such distance but since there recent intertwinings Ramix had felt Selenity's emotions almost all the time especialy when they were powerful and nothing was more powerful that Selenity's anger.

Ramix shruged off the feeling and responded to Barraks comment

Well Barrak i thank you for your kindness towards my welcoming you but i will have you know these articles of war are not my personal prefrence they are eirlooms of my familys hystory and when you have had a family thats lasted this long your going to be in war and i have much respect for those who did because they we able to become the best at what they had the luxury of being able to do just like i have the luxury of beeing a healer.

Ramix gave Barrak a moment of silence to allow what he said to sink in then walked over to his cabinet and took out a ring sliding it onto his finger and blocking off his sisters mental link whyle it was on joined them out on the balconey.

  8. Barrak slowed and listened to Ramix's rebuttle. He did not stop though. He continued on his way out the patio doors once Ramix had finished his say. Anemes awaited him there. She seemed calmer outside, Barrak knew she felt more confortable in open spaces rather than being secluded indoors. Her calmness brought a slight whim of peace to Barrak's conflicted mind.

Keahi slid away from Ramix's side when he spoke back. He knew how quick to anger Barrak could get, and if it was true that him and Ramix were really related, than a short temper may just run through the elder's blood aswell. But aside from Barrak's temper was his longing for battle, which made Keahi nervous. They were constructed weapons, all three Elementals. Made for combat, and aside from bickering amongst each other, they haven't been able to fight tooth and claw for some time now.

Keahi held back for a moment while Ramix slid out to join the other two. He took a look around and got a good look at some of the weaponry that indeed did litter the building. However Keahi's eyes finally rested on the tapestry of Ramix's father on the wall. Perhaps fighting longed in both of thier hearts...

Barrak turned and greeted Ramix with his eyes as he finally made his way out to the patio. He still wasn't sure what to think of him. He wanted to believe that Ramix was a good guy. However he was quick enough to snip back when Barrak had warned him about pulling any funny buisness.

"I appologise Ramix, being a healer is a nobel trade. You see, we have been trapped by false kindness before, and have to keep on our toes. We were weapons built for war and a weapon could be used by either party. War is enevitable, I understand that now. But you must understand that being what we are forces us into a neutral party. We fight alongside the rapine and we would never be able to fully fit in amongst the pendragons. Yet you must understand that we couldn't fight against the rapine... We have to be careful. Our longing for battle unfortunately is our weakest point. We can be easily manipulated. False kindness can come in the form of mockery and manipulation."

Barrak raised his eyes as Keahi finally came out to join them. His eyes were wide with curiosity, and he held a quivering lip between clenched teeth. Barrak gave Keahi a questioning look but was again ignored. Keahi went straight to Ramix as Anemes had before.

"Rrramix http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=Glossaryine</a> noticed a picture on unnii wall. It looked like a fam..family picture. http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=GlossaryIne</a> thinks it was une in the picture... but http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=Glossaryine</a> remembers hearing une had a sister. http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=GlossaryIne</a> thinks she wasn't in the picture. http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=GlossaryIne</a> was just wondering why?"

  9. Ramix fiddled witht he ring on his finger he could feel an electric statick coming off of it and he knew that was his sister having a powerful emotion and it was getting transfered into electrical magic. going by the snip he just made at barrak it was still anger and he dare not take off the ring or posibly do more damage than a remark.

Barrak i am not trying to use you to my advantage or any such things my temper flared up and the reason why relates to kehi's question. as i have devoted my life to healing and helping my sister Selenity has done the oposite she has devoted hers to killing and destroying. she was ejected from the family just after we finished our schooling by my father and she has not been happy since so you may want to avoid her. but right now she is safely locked away in the prizon and is not bothering anyone and i am the only one who can access her. She is the most powerful destructive mercyless fighter around next to the graders right now and as much as it pains me to have her locked up its safer for us all with her in there.

Ramix looked into the room and saw the picture. Indeed it did lack selenity but his eyes were drawn away from it to the suit of armor that lay on its pedistal near it and the large blade that was missing from it. He groweld slightly

Selenity made the mistake of seeking teachings from a one Conalin Frinstone our family the suns have had a blood feud with the Frinstones for eons and will forever until one of us is wiped off the face of Ramath-lehi. all i say is beware of this pendragon he is very skilled in demonic arts and a powerful foe. if you see him get as far away as posible.

Geting back to the conversation at hand and out of his rage for the frinstones Ramix decided that in order to welcome them into a world of peace and not leting them be used as weapons anymore he decided to invite them to stay in one of the guest rooms of his home

And if you need a place to stay my doors are open to you
