<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Timestamp: 12 Dyo, 81380 The first Menlo match of the tournament, between Me and Viper.</td></tr></table> Matt had cleared a neat space in his dorm for this fight and all his gear was set up neatly, when he said he had cleared a space up he meant Jade of course. She was out someone now though, she didnÂ’t like seeing him compete and get hurt or anything. Trying to convince her that he wasnÂ’t going to lose was a hard, she adamant he was going to die or something. From what he had heard he had a little more experience than his opponent, who was a bit fresh. Not only did matt study Menlo strategies but he also had competed in 2 other matches, had won too. His MCC Street Fight Generator was good to go, with a open port for his opponent and his dorm room door wide open. His own MCC CA-257 helmet was nestled on his head, visor up of course. His card was all plugged in. Now he had to just wait and pump his adrenalin up of course. His gum shield ready for once they began.
Sulphea silently slipped in front of the door, looking more like she was ready to go to the beach than have a menlo match, dressed in a tiny pair of denim shorts and an equally tiny top, obviously makeing an effort to turn the heads of the students who lived in the dorms. "Well, I had expected the venue to be a little more formal I have to say" she chuckled egotisticly "but I suppose it doesn't really matter if we are in laborotry conditions, right?". Not pauseing for a reply she revealed that she was carrying a strange looking headset, somewhat like the MCC P57 although down the side it was marked "MCC M04" "Ready?" she asked, somewhat pointlessly, before pulling a card from the back pocket of her jeans. Although it seemed to be from her back pocket before she turned to close the door, showing that she did not have a back pocket. She left Matt to (hopefully) get destrated by her shapely figure as she bent over to plug in her gear.
Matt eyed over his opponent curiously, it didnÂ’t matter what you wore in Menlo since you were in a suit but her attire was far from battle ready. Whether she was trying to distract him or just liked dressing like that, it was having a little bit of an affect. He was taken though and he wasnÂ’t going to cheat on Jade any time soon either, so not trusting his hormones he looked away and flicked the record switch on his game system. That way the judges could examine it with more detail too. "Yeah I'm ready, hope you enjoy the street fight engine." He said absent minded, flicking his visor in and waiting until she was settled before turning on the machine. Suddenly his senses were a blur, then it all went black. Slowly the boundaries of his suit came into focus, and he felt his body again. His suit was more of a lumbering thing. It was very strong and very tough but with little peed in moving over distances, its arms could swing dangerously fast though. It was a variant of his original suit, based off his were wolf form. It was a hulking lupine, standing at around 8 foot upright. It was always hulking and slouching in a predatory stance though, so its height was more around 7" keepings its centre of gravity low. Which meant basically it could never be knocked over by something smaller, it had strange slits on its back too. It is made of very thick metal plates, lined with studs here and occasional more platting. All this leads to an incredibly thick and durable armour casing that lighter opponates find hard to deal with. It also had four powerful arms that could rip most things apart with ease, each one with a set of claws on each. There was little else to his arms, except that fact the two top ones were equipped with spikes on their elbows. For reasons of balance he also had a tail, a long more reptilian type thing with large triangular plates jutting out of it on each side. They were sharp on their edgeÂ’s but they could be used more as a shield. His only long range weapon was a single gun built into his shoulder, it occasionally popped out of its case and fired a plasma, blue ball of energy at things but its ammo was very limited. His skulked around in a small building, his long metallic muzzle poking out of a building, once she entered a 3 second warning would appear as it did the virus check. Then once that was cleared a horn would sound signally the start fo the match. He grinned as his blood lust filled his mind.
Sulphea just shot Matt wink a sly grin as he flipped down his visor before pulling her own over the left side of her head, the single eye visor jumping into life and a few moments later a second smaller visor flicking down in front of her right eye. "And so we start..." After a couple of moments she was already in complete control of her suit, giveing all the joints a quick test to get the feel of her suit again. The "Monarch" stood bipedal at just below six feet, the same size and shape as if Sulphea had donned a futuristic suit of battle armour. Her suit looked to be an extremely customised one, most likely made from scratch, especially looking at the joints which looked like they were all able to spin 360 degrees and the colour, definately not an original colour, both jet black and a shineing rainbow hue at the same time. The suits hands snapped open and closed from the wrist to the "fingers" a couple of times as Sulphea waited eagerly for a chance to try out the new and improved weaponry she and her "associates" had pain stakeingly coded. A coctail of twenty super-heated spinning blades just waiting to rend and melt through sheets of metal plateing and stone alike. Barrages of countless shurikens that would be hard for even an insect to evade and... she glanced back to the suits massive skunk style tail, complete with two white stripes, that one peice of codeing that still needed work but was horrific none the less. The seconds passed and the horn blew. Instantly the joints twisted and turned, shifting out of her default bipedal form and into her faster form, before dashing into the countless alleys as a black blur.
Matt swished his tail a little before he made any move, he wasnÂ’t the type who ran around aimlessly like a headless chicken. His suit was built for search and destroy, unlike this fast things it could take amazing amounts of damage and keep walking. It was based off his were wolf form really. With the sound of the buzzer he set off, trudging along with his vision sensors working over time to locate his enemy. As soon as he exited his building he turned to the nearest wall, digging his claws and tail into it and clawing his way to the too. His breath was ragged and coming out faster by the time he reached the top, hailing the large suit was far from easy. Four arms though, that was just great. He reached the top with a thud, his powerful legs leaving prints in the concrete. He knew he was the biggest target going but he had more than a fair few fromonia based defence systems for larger attacks. He walked to the edge of the building until he faced another more taller one, with a effort of will and a massive leap he launched himself towards the building. His claws dug in with a earth shattering slam. Before he lifted himself to the top in one perfect motion of ridiculous strength. He stoood at the top of the building like a hawk then scanned out with his vision, motion detectors and heat sensors working overtime to find her.
Dashing through the winding allys was definately not going to be much use, Sulphea reasoned. None of her scanners had detected her opponents suit in the maze of walls, meaning she was going to have to go into the more open ground... Not for long though, as the moment she moved out of the ally Matts suit was both obvious on her scanners and vision. "Trust a kid to go for big and powerful" she laughed to herself as she shot behind another building. A stratergy of confusion was the way to go here she decided. Moveing with intense speed and purposly giveing out the largest burst of heat signals she could she dashed between a gap which the watching opponent could definatly see before shutting off her heat burst and dashing around almost randomly, hopeing the heat blast would obscure where she had moved to. She repeated this tactic a few times, each time in a different position, closer to the building and at a different angle, hopeing to dizzy the titan.
Matt watched from afar as the girl tried to confuse his sensors, did she really think he would be so easily tricked. He didnÂ’t have many shots with his cannon and wasnÂ’t going to waste them, he had a lot of experience fighting these fast light things. So many people went for that build, it was so boring, he had to admit that even his first suit had been some fast, scout type machine. He was trained fairly well in Menlo coding and his scanners werenÂ’t so easily fooled. It was time to slow her down now, having such a heavy suit had many advantages. One being its crazy weight, granted it was as acrobatic as a blind whale but it could throw its self about a bit. he waited until she was fast approaching, running near his position again. Before jumping down in one might leap, he fell like a brick. Far too fast for anyone to react quickly enough, with his landing his massive suit dug into the ground. The legs smashing huge prints into the concrete as a ripple of energy travelled through the ground. Like an earthquake it spread, the wave shattering the windows and putting cracks in the walls. He was counting on the wave to stun her a little, his shoulder cannon coming to bear on her with a click. The laser targeting with its little red beam searching her out in the slight, billowing clouds of dust the filled the air copiously. His suit drew its elf to its predatorily position again with its clawed hands ready, time for some destruction.
Sulphea smirked, "Second mistake" she said, dripping with arrogence. She watched the large suit fall, positioning herself at the exact position, getting ready to jump, chuckleing to herself a little at the damage she was about to do. As soon as the hulking wolf suit crashed into the ground she leaped stunningly high up and to the left, right into a wall... but she knew it was there and had planned for it. She hung off the wall with her suits sharp claws for a split second, regaining her senses in the fog of dust and grit, positioning herself to jump for the opponents back... then she jumped. The suits hands snapped open from the fingers to the wrist, and out of each one buzzed four spinning circular saws attached to one larger circular saw, all crackleing with electricity, just asking to be plunged into any chinks in an opponents armour. Braceing her arms and legs to land on the larger suits back, she remembered those strange slits. Seeing those as an opening for her blades to go to work she went to grab onto the suit with her foot claws and go to work with her blades...
Ah Matt had to grin, it was amazing at how easily these older players could be manipulated. They always saw him and thought in experienced younger player who hadnÂ’t a clue about anything, always liked the big shiny things and had no subtlety. They never realised they were being played like his guitar. He let her get a hold and position herself on his back, pretend to thrash around a little. As soon as he felt her blades begging he activated the slits, massive blades shot out of them, each one a 4 feet in length and each one aimed straight at her body. They were fools if they though he was going to leave his back un guarded. Then with another burst of strength his arm joins complete turned in on themselves, two of his arms taking swipes at her with their powerful claws. A robot didnÂ’t suffer the penalties of join movements, it could spin its arms around 360. He smirked to himself as he brought his tail up, he was going to attack her from all angles. His tail swept over the top of his body not touching but enough to clear her off with a single swipe, then his gun turreted on his should would set to work. If she jumped off his back she would have to deal with a few shots fired her way. All in all he was quite proud of his retaliation.
Damnit! Sulphea almost shouted this guys almost intelligent! She managed to move her hands out of immidiate danger from the blades a split second before they would have impaled them, almost ripping her suits arm off. Acting before she even thought she sprung into the air, folding her arms and spinning like a top in the air, her hand-blades hitting the blades and effectively parrying them as each time she hit one it made the blade recoil away from the high speed saws. Just as she was about to land back on the wolf suits back again and try a different tactic she noticed the claws about to swipe at her. She adjusted her position in mid-fall and pointed her legs downwards towards the wolf suits tail... She landed on a pair of tail spikes that were flat at that point, and before they had a chance to move an inch she sprung back off towards the suits head, spinning into a front flip, her suits joints moveing back into more of a bipedal form and she went to try and gouge the top of the suits head open with her two blades as she flew over. She landed and span on the spot, looking the wolf suit in the eyes and hoped it had worked... then she noticed one of her suits feet was almost hanging off at the end from the tails blades Not at all a tacticly flawless sequence of acrobatics on her part as she had naturally assumed
Matt was growling with effort as the girl insisted to stay on his back, he had thought that lots of blades repeatedly moving in and out towards her might make her attack different but she still wouldnÂ’t come down. As she tap danced on hsi back he growled with fury, letting out a roar was she finial made her move to come off. His head sort of snapped down a little when the blades stacked over it sending a trail of sparks and scratches on his head. Bringing his gaze up and levelling his eyes with her, being a traditionalist the eyes of his suit were red. Bu they were glowing with rage, his rage. He couldnÂ’t actually change into his other form on Menlo, but he did sometimes lose himself to rage. He took a deep breath and readied his attack, it was more a mix of defence yet also was a potent attack in his opinion. His brought his tail up and over his back like a scorpions tail, then the blades on his back parted to let it though but also stopping her from jumping on his tail so easily. Dropping to a bipedal form, but his extra pair of arms means he could still slash and gash. All of this basically happened in a second, and the sharp point on his tail snapped forward, the stinger aiming for her back. His front arms slashed for her, but also to pin her so the tail could do its work. His other arms and legs working as one to power him forward in some juggernaut of a lunge. He could spring him self forward fast if he put all his strength into it. She was set in his gaze.
