Fespui, 11 Tessera ___________ Axis Genesis| ---------------- Tapping away on the computers, Axis quickly got to work on things. Moving all the appropriate files into place was not a simple task, nor was it something to take lightly. Reference points were to be exact and precise and the detail for a job like was almost impossible for a non-perfectionist. This kind of work, though, was natural for Axis. Setting things in their proper place, moving unsorted items from folder to folder to subfolder. Tedious work seemed to entertain Axis somehow. He had nothing to do with so much time on his hands. Might as well put it to work. "Ach so! Finished!" Axis said, with an almost fake sigh of relief "Time to revert back to doing nothing.." It was hard living in a secluded area with no one around but adults. It was fun at times, but comfortable? No. Rarely has he ever seen someone around his age to talk to. Most of the time, it would be during those big events. Then, he would have a group around his age just exploring. Of course, there were mishaps. Giving a personal tour often lead to the loudspeaker reporting a missing child. The rest of the day would then be resumed to boredom as the visitors went right and left about the exhibits he had seen 20.. 30.. 146 times. With the computers finally finished and the network hooked up, Axis began to take his break with a cup of juiced fruit (because fruit juice is for normal pendragons) and some Extreme Expert Minesweeper. "Time sure flies when you've got nothing to do with it.."
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>I'm bored to death, let's see how this'll work out Who: Aria Rinoket</td></tr></table> Aria was lost, and she only wanted to discuss Machinia with some of the engineers, she was also thinking about trying to get her and Telea a job here. She sat down in a hall to rest, she looked around, her head hurt, where was headache medicine when you needed it? Ah well, might as well go on with your life. She took a deep breath, and looked at her leg, it needed to have a clean up soon, since the hinges and joints were getting a bit rusty, and it liked to protest on some of her trips. She sighed, and pawed through a brown satchel that was wrapped around her back and shoulder, and grabbed rust cleaner, and got to work, fixing it, since she had time. She finished the easy to reach places, and decided to save the rest for later. She stood up, making sure to keep her huge wings folded neatly, and looked around. This place was dull, but she'd always been fascinated by the way things worked here, since she'd visited before. She saw computers, and assortments of other stuff, she kept going, and eventually saw a young arden, sitting by a computer, sipping juiced fruit.( though it was all fruit juice to her) He was playing what she made out to be mine sweeper, she'd seen Telea play it a few times at a computer cafe she visited with her. She decided to ask him directions. So she walked over and lightly tapped him on the shoulder with a paw. "<span style='color:gray'> Um, excuse me, where would all the engineers hang out? </span>" she inwardly sighed, Telea's way of speaking was rubbing off on her, but she couldn't worry about it now, "<span style='color:gray'> and would you also know where any Asprin is? </span>" <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Or does RaL have a generic for Asprin? lol =3</td></tr></table>
Just... one... more... No... You've GOT to be KIDDING ME! Axis sat up with his back straight up and stiff as if he were startled. He wasn't really he heard someone walk in but continued with his game. The events that happened afterward was all tragedy. Axis had gotten so far through his game and was, for the 100th+ time he was down to one. last. square. It was at that moment, when he was tapped on the shoulder and accidentally stepped over a mine. Axis' eyes widened as he looked at the screen. All other squares laid there perfectly. all the flagged squares were bombs and there had been no mistakes. Except one. That one mine not only killed the little yellow smiley face on the top of the window, but also a little piece inside of him. He let out a sigh that gave off that 'Crushed hopes and dreams' feeling. He slowly brought himself back to reality faking a smile as if nothing ever happened. Axis thought she would be able to understand how horrible he felt at that moment. It was a GIANT screen with a single bomb highlighted in red sticking out like a zit that would never go away. "E-engineers?" Axis started, "They're usually on the 3rd floor, most likely tinkering with that Diametric... Bi-Polar... Thingy. They usually talk about weird stuff, but I guess if you're looking for them you know what kind of language to expect. It's a constant, and almost monotone speech on technobabble and a random collection of words you'll never find in a dictionary." Axis shook his head. He realized he was just going on and on about nothing important to her. "Oh, and umm.. as for aspirin.. I believe there's some sort of Headache thing in the drawer over there." He pointed to the table on the other side of the room. "You'd know it when you see it, but I have no idea whether the thing works or if it's untested or whatever. Then again, I'm not one who gets headaches."
She curled her lips back in a snarl, "<span style='color:gray'>Technobabble? It's not technobabble, just so you know, technobabble is when a hatchling like you, barely out of it's egg, tries to make something from a simple nut and bolt, and call it genius. Technobabble is when a young hatchling like you, tries to comprehend what takes years of hard work and labor, to learn!</span>" She then turned around, and found the box of asprin, and crushed a couple pills between her paws before swallowing. Her tail was lashing dangerously back and forth, she sighed, "<span style='color:gray'>This is going to be a long day...</span>" she muttered. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Hogeeze, writer's block already</td></tr></table>
"Hah." Axis smirked. He clicked on the yellow smiley guy to start a new game in hopes of less failure. "Sometimes I wish I didn't know what they were talking about. When you live here, you get to know the name of every nut bolt and Jabariel-Fiber Wire that lives in this building. I know just as much stuff as everyone else here. Then again, everyone here does have their own little edge. You won't find anyone else here who's brain mimics the multitasking capabilities of a computer network." He turned around looking at her crush the pills within her paws. "Want some fusaj with that?" he pointed to a cooler next to one of the filing cabinets, "It's ionized in more ways than one. Makes your nerves react faster and your reflexes better."
"<span style='color:gray'>Hmph</span>" she snorted, "<span style='color:gray'>This blue labeled one right?</span>" she said holding up a bottle. She sat, balencing the crushed pills on one paw. She didn't want to use it yet, and make her ears turn red or something crazy, she didn't work with scientific stuff, just Machinia. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>I'm so sorry it's short T^T</td></tr></table>
