Timestamp: Tria (Summer), 81379 Character: Sejv Massit Day: late afternoon, around 6 Sejv sat around in the cheap hotel room, his eyes were absorbing the crappy decorations. The wallpaper was tacky and had a cheap flowery pattern repeating all over it. The carpet was a soft green and it looked like it had been washed about once in ten years. His bed was nice though, he sat on that instead of sitting on some horrible chair. He was tired of looking at the strange stalls in the market, most of it was junk but some was really nice. And some was just the most exotic crap he had ever seen. He liked it here. He laid back onto he bed. His robes flowing around as he stared at the ceiling.
Tian silently made her way up the stairs, dressed in a rather interesting suit. More like a mans suit but it was impressive. Today she was a curator for a museum in Watani. Or so she liked to pretend. She carried a dark breifcase that was latched shut with a lock, which clanked lightly against the breifcase as she climbed the miserable steps. Why couldnt this place have an elevator? She reached intop her breast pocket and pulled out some pills, popping them into her mouth with one gulp and then checked her watch. Shes heard of this man...the mage..the wandering mage. He had something that she wanted...a very beutiful necklace....said to have like 3 or something curses on it and all that magical rubbish. And she would do anything tonight to get it.....even if it resorts to.....sex..... Sex. Something she was growing a little tired of. But its a powerful weapon for women. And it works. Maybe this con she wouldnt have to do it. Meh..she needs the exercise...she spent last week eating poparts and icecream...for almost every meal.
Sejv was staring at the ceiling, it was suppose to be white but dirt had made it filthy. He hated this place, a wood cabin in a forest was far nicer. He liked being out doors and having freedom, yet this place want even nice to look at. His ears twitched as he heard some clanging on the stairs out side. He didnÂ’t bother laying up but he raised his hand up and opened his palm. A little yellow ball of glowing energy was in it. it spun just above his hand in a perfect sphere. He played with it just in case the people out side we unpleasant and for him, this was Bhim after all and the only law was ones you enforced yourself. He didnÂ’t trust anyone around here, he wasnÂ’t even staying long yet he was looking for some rarer items, items that you couldnÂ’t buy inside the law. He grinned to himself.
She stopped infront of the door and knocked lightly. "Mr. massit?" she said softly and almsot in a kind nervous way. 'Mr. Massit? Are you there? I am Tracy Knodros...curator of a Museum in Swaraj...can i talk to you?"
He nearly laughed out loud, what in gods name was a curator doing in pirate central. He eyed the door suspiciously, then flicking the yellow ball of wind magic at the door, it exploded near the door pulling the air into it. The sudden vacuum pulled the door open, he felt the familiar tugging on his energy when he used the magic yet a small spell was easy to handle. He sat up and looked at the girl in the doorway. She looked quite stunning, she was dressed in a very business woman suit and she looked the part. He smiled to himself, he couldnÂ’t help but thinking where the hell was she when he used to visit museums. "Well hello, how can I help you" h He said with his wolfish grin on his face. He got up and walked over to her with his favourite blue robes on. He walked over to her and offered her his hand.
She was startled by the door suddenyl bursting open but kept some cool none the less. She took his hand and shook it lightly. "Can i come in..i would like to make an offer, Mr Massit..." she smiled sweetly adjusting her glasses....which werent real but it just made her look more fancy like. She talked all smart like with a delecet english accent...which was also not hers but she was damn good at the voice too.
He smiled at her curiously. shaking her hand a little bit firmly but then letting go. He gave her a curious look when she mentioned the an offer, for a minute an idea for his lucky day had come into his mind. he laughed quietly to himself. In some ways he was more curious about how she has heard of him. He didnÂ’t have much of a reputation as far as he knew. he just researched magic buildings and searched for artefacts and such like. He liked magic, what could he say. He give her a odd look. "You have my attention," he said playfully. He stood by the edge of his desk, it had some papers and maps on them. It also had a glass container of some drink. "Can I get you anything while we talk" he asked politely. He hadnÂ’t spoken to anyone interesting in ages and had good intentions to let it go on for as long as possible. His tail swished playfully around. His tail flame was a bright orange that contrasted with his grey fur and yet went with his blue robes.
She smiled "No Thank you massit..im here for business..and business only.." she sat down at the small table, putting her breifcase upon it. She watched the man for a moment "We heard you have an interesting artifact.... a very interesting artifact....something we want, Mr. Massit." she pushed her glasses back up her snout. "But we arnt going to just ask you for it as a donation...we are willing to make a trade...." She smiled up at him, crossing her legs, looking ever so presentable.
He smiled at her, He was enjoying her company quite a bit, her professional ness made it more fun, except when she mention wanting a artefact. his guard was instantly up, he eyed her suspiciously. He had quite a few rare items, no however he had advertised much, and had few intentions of selling any of them. He walked over to the small table, leaving his drink. He kept his smile though as he took a seat. "Please call me Sejv, I'm not to fond of my family name." he said politely. Their was only one thing n his mind, like a splinter in his brain. His tail swished around nervously. He places his hands faced down on the table, need his mind alert. But most of all which one did they want. "So what are you interested in then" he said with the tiniest of smirks. He had a glint of curiously in his eye yet his tail flame hidden under the table was a cautious blue.
"A Necklace...once owend by a famous Mage of the ancient days..i think his name was Julian...." she raised a brow. "Its something i never really understood much..but my advisors say we should get it to complete an interesting collection we have coming in soon...." She watched him. "Now..i hope my offer will be good enough to get it from you...." she driffted her eyes to the breifcase.
He frowned, heavily. The necklace of Juilan, also known as the blood jewel necklace was one of his more valuable possessions, not to mention its magical properties. It was very dangerous in the wrong hands but it had immense power. He had used it to summon a earth titan once. He eyed her over, and then let his gaze drift to the briefcase. They had better have a good offer or then could shove it somewhere unpleasant. His tail was wrapped around the table leg and gripping it tightly in anger. He was slightly pissed off that they would bother him about this, he didnÂ’t really have any intention of selling any of his stuff or he would have ages ago. "Well this offer better be more than good," he said with a much darker tone. He wasnÂ’t in the mood for time wasting. At all.
She opened to case and brought out a rather interesting looking map that lead to multiple places. But the final destination was unmarked on this map of the world. "This map holding 2 key points that find 2 very rare magical artifacts as i have heard....and the third is only found if you find the two others.....and its said when all three are together...they can turn the tides of war...the world..and the universe" she said lying through her teeth. "Its said only one with true magic power can get them....and we believe you are that person..and you deserve them....we believe they are too risky to have the museum now...even after sending 20 people to get them and.....we havent seen them since...." The map sparkled with magic...magic she had a friend put on it.... She handed him the map, carefully acting like it was delecet.
His tail immediately flicked out and uncurled. His eyes glimmered with interested, yet the faded at some points. It sounded good but some bits sounded odd. Very odd. He looked at the map laying on the table and carefully picked it up. It seemed very authentic, but looks can be deceiving. He had some test of his own, but first he needed to clear somethingÂ’s up. "Right you have my attention but theirs a few things IÂ’m not getting. The bit where you talk about true magical power. IÂ’m not even a master or particular great at magic." He took his eyes off the map, he wasnÂ’t convinced yet.
"Well all i have heard were from rumors and such, Sir....if you dont want it i can take it back then" she held out her hand...this was one this tha usually worked....offering to take it back..make them thing then this is real. "But its a rare find....just like the necklace..i admit that necklace may be more....but...i think it would far trade...." she raised a brow at him and rested her head on her hands, staring at him seductivly.
His hand snapped out and landed on the map, keeping it firmly in place. He wasnÂ’t done yet but he didnÂ’t like they way she had so much control. His eyes flickered from her to the map and back again. His golden gaze trying to figure out the situation. And they way she looked at him made him smile softly back, he didnÂ’t want to be suspicious but it was an important trade. Very important. "Well I have to check this map then, gotta make sure these rumours arenÂ’t just rumours." He said firmly. With his spare hand he reached into his robes and reached into his robes and pulled out a pair of glasses with different lenses that slid in front to make different colours. They were his analysis glasses, if their was any foul play on this map he would find it. He looked at the map intensively and began fiddling with the lenses as he tail twitched nervously about. His tail flame kept changing in size randomly, blending to a from every colour of the spectrum.
Well this doesnt look good...her eye twitched a bit but she stopped it..she hated complications..what if he found out....she pushed her glasses back up her nose and looked about....maybe a distraction. "God its aweful hot in here...." she undid a few buttons on her blouse which revieled the top of her cleavage...." she was getting sick of conning men..maybe a woman next time..but these were the big guns when it came to conning a man....exspecially with her guns....
He was busy studying the map and things were looking good, until he heard some rustling in front og him and he glanced upwards. She undid some of her buttons quite blatantly in front of him, his male brain kicked in and he tried to concentrate and look down but he kept glancing up. "Yeah a bit" he said mumbling a bit, trying to pretend he wasnÂ’t listing. He looked up again a stared a little bit. He couldnÂ’t figure out if she was doing this on purpose. While he pondered this fact he missed another important one. If he had been focusing on his work he would have noticed how the magic was only one layer thick and had been recently applied. However he was not focusing, and he was working, he was trying to sneak peaks. He didnÂ’t even know why, she was very good looking but he wasnÂ’t really into her, she was to serious. Yet some part of his primitive man brain just kept taking over his eyes. He hated it. He pushed the map towards her and sighed, taking off his magical glasses and rubbing his eyes softly. "Well it seemed to be genuine." he said tiredly. He didnÂ’t like this situation, yet the idea of another big job spoke deep to his soul. He closed his eyes for a moment as he summoned up a minor power. He arm stretched out and flexed, then it disappeared into thin air. He pushed his arm more in that direction and it looked as if he had reached into thin air and was rummaging around. Slowly his arm began to come out of nothing and reveille its self. Now in his hand was the Necklace of Julian. Its gold filigree with red encrusted rubies. It was a impressive sight, especially to those with magic sight. It had a swirling aura of red, yellow and blue energy. Its magic aura instantly revitalised him. He placed it on the table with a smile.
"So...does that mean we have a deal, good sir?" she said leaning forward a bit, absent mindedly, resting her head on her hands which showed nicley down her blouse then. Oh she hoped so..then she could get out of Bhim and go home....take a nice little vaction with all the money she had made this run...she wasnt planning on selling the neckless....she liked it to much..she would keep it in her own, personal musuem of her favorite items..may even do more studies on its powers and possibly use them if they proved usefull...and if she could... "Is there anything else i have to do? Or do you think its a fair trade?"
This time he was just looking at her, she had very nice eyes. He felt like adding things and making ridicules demands but he couldnÂ’t be bothered. He smiled at her again with a bit of his wolfish charm, his playful side was coming back to him. "Well maybe a kiss, but yes, I think we have a deal." He said with a wicked grin. His tail was not just resting on the floor, ist flame a deep purple, he was going to miss that necklace, it had some fun memorise. But he had found it and claimed it, his name was in the books, next to quite a few items actually. No one could ever take that from him. He smiled to himself then back at her.
She stood and walked to him "I guess a kiss could be fine..." she leaned down and kissed him lightl on the lips, rubbing his cheek. After she leaned back up , grabbing the necklace and on her way out she said kindly "Happy Searching, Mr. Massit...you did the museum a great favor....."
