Aria stood on a cliff over looking the area, she was having a good day coming here she loved everything she saw, and hoped to get some souvenirs, to keep for later reference. She bounded down the cliff, she wanted to get working, or something, before she had to set up a camp.

She walked through the run down area, looking around, it was defferent then she thought, and hoped nothing would attack her, she was very jumpy right now, and hissed everytime something fell, she almost attacked an old peice of metal when the sun glinted on it.

"Am I getting too old?" she grumbled as she quietly crept into a place to relax, "Am I going senile, no, I coulden't be.. could I?"

  2. Character: http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=626Rujeim Davlok</a>

Rujeim laughed as he waited at his camp in the ruins of the old empire, he had to meet up with a fellow scientist yet she seemed to be a bit erratic in his opinion. She kept forgetting things and he had a somewhat funny feeling that she had forgotten him and their arrangement. They had spent the whole of a last month working on some strange machine they had found it partially incomplete and they had absolutely no idea what it was. They blue prints had just been bizarre but they had followed them anyway yet Rujeim feared to what end about the results.

The machine was mad, it had no real purpose he could determine nor did it seem to have a specific function rather a series of infinite functions. It scrambled his logical mind to even think about it.

His head snapped around to the direction of a sudden jumping sound, he sighed and relaxed again, he was fairly sure it was his associate Miss Aria.

  3. She noticed Rujeim, and relaxed, and remebered the blueprits they had found, and came here to find parts. She carefully walked over and sat. "Errr...sorry I'm late, I had to come on foot" she explained sheepishly, "Oh well, are we going to sit around or start looking?"

She paced around hoping that she would be sucsessful on finding parts .

  4. He sighed at her madness, yet in the same way he admired it. She was a very old dragon yet her mind was just as sharp as it was in her youth, however she had gone slightly dotty in his opinion. He pulled himself up from his makeshift log bench and paced off after her, his eyes scanning the ground for anything useful. They already had some parts but they always need more especially as this was a totally unfounded operation and they needed to scavenge everything. However they were lucky in the fact that they had a plenty full supply of junk, the empire was absolutely littered with pieces of still and half working machines.

"Yes well lets hope we find something use, doesnÂ’t matter though that machine seems to half build its self." he said with a very nervous tone. He could have swore that every time he closed his eyes or left it along their was a new part, or it was capable of something else. It seemed to know everything to, ask it a question and it just answered in bleeds that in the strangest way seemed to make sense.

He was going to call it the quantum flux machine, based on the mystical properties of quantum physics. The one part of physics that still gave him trouble, just like that stupid machine.

  5. She visiond the blueprints in her mind, she was good at that stuff. "We need...3 saw blades, a few peices of sheet metal, and some iron bars, the other peices can wait" she said. She walked to a pile of parts and started to rumage through them, she pulled out a few bolts, and nuts, and other peices they might need andstuffed them into a bag for small parts.

She pulled out a heatsensing eye peice, used on cyborgs, and other A.I. machines. She stared at the peice, and stuffed it into the bag too, just in case, she got up and moved to a new pile, hoping for the sawblades they needed.

  6. Rujeim grimaced at the possibilities the machine could do with blades, next they would be sticking missiles on it. The dam thing was already thinking for it self, it had even given them a list of parts it had wanted once, she had taken it but he had kicked it and told it to have manners. He lent over and put his many arms to work on the piles. He managed to find a circular saw blade but wasnÂ’t to sure on that.

"Erm can we use these, they seem ok" He said curiously as he pointed with his third arm to the circle blade. His others hands carried on working.

He soon came across 3 square foot of sheet metal and a few bars. He was still looking for more when he found some crystal thing encased in a metal sort of pot, he snuck it into their goody bag and proceeded to rummage some more, with extra diligence that was fuelled by curiosity.

  7. "The thing may think, but I have my plans for it's ideas, blades,it wants blades, I programed some chips, to make it only want sawblades, no guns, or missiles, nothing but laser blades" she was almost going to start prattleing when she found a gold clawed han, like for and animal robot.

She held up the claws and said, "These are enough blades, keep the ones you found, and take no more" she said stuffing the claws away. She found another heatsensing eye, "We'll put the heatsensing eyes on it, so if it attacks, move some where hotter, so it can't tell us from the surroundings."

  8. Rujeim gave her a quizzical look, god knows why she wanted to turn it into some killing machine, he personally wanted to turn into a block of steel that just calculated things. Like a computer not some robot, yet it was already adding to itself as they spoke, he wished that they hadnÂ’t given it arms.

"Well still, how about we just turn it into a head in a jar, much safer." he realised how stupid and scared he must sound but the idea of being torn apart by blades made him shudder slightly, he was a thinker not a fighter.

If the situation hit the fan though he had an emergency teleporter for them both to send them to a random safe location. He only hoped it wouldnÂ’t come to that.

  9. She sighed, "Are you afraid? I have been working on thins stuff since I was a child, don't think I'm clueless" she glanced around, and snached a, piece of A.I. machinery, she knew she could control it, no matter what it did.

She rumaged some more, and wondered what her fellow scientist thought, and did with the robot, did he dio something that she wasn't to know? Or was it her fault tha machine was it's own device, she brushed it off and rumaged some more

  10. Rujiem tried to make it too obvious he was too terrified of the machine, he was expecting it to break free from its programming and turn on its master. He didnÂ’t trust machines that could think, he was some what of a thinkaphobe. Or something like that. He just didnÂ’t see how programming stopped the thing from attacking and why couldnÂ’t it just reprogram itself. And if she was so sure then why did she plan safety measures just in case it went mad.

"Well I just donÂ’t trust it, IÂ’ve seen they way it looks at me when your not around." he said as he tried to justify his own damnation of machines.

He looked through the junk and picked out a few more interesting items, he didnÂ’t even know what he was looking for anymore, he was just taking anything that caught his eye.

  11. She coughed when some smoke came from a thing she was picking parts from, "Really? I've been working on that as long as you have, I havn't seen any flaws" she said slightly dumbfounded. The machine that had sputtered smoke move, or she could have sworn it did, then something hit her on the back.

She looked at what had fell and it was an iron bar, but different, it was marked in some strange way, she pushed it off, and looked at it "Look at this" she wispered to him, "This isn't normal"

  12. Rujeim sighed heavily, he would not say the machine was flawed. The machine was built perfectly for its condition and age yet it seemed that it was almost to clever for its own good. He was very sure that they had found it broken because its previous owners broke it, intentionally and with intent of it never fixing its self. Yet their they were adding blades to it and making it very, very capable, they new technology they were adding to it was even more deadly yet Aria's skilled programming which he was putting much faith in was supposed to stop it from turning into a tank.

He turned to see her being hit by some random pipe and held back an inappropriate snigger, yet his own curiosity peeked when she found the strange markings.

"Hmm looks interesting, maybe its just a logo for something though." He said rather disappointedly when he got a closer look. He was some what of a pessimist.

He didnÂ’t really think their would be some grand conspiracy about a pipe unless something interesting had made the markings. His criminal mind began to work out some rather disturbed was that a pipe could have been marked and some outlandish plots about what had done it. his imagination was going into overdrive as his mind drifted off into lala land.

  13. She fished her paw inside of it, and retrieved a chip for A.I. type things, she played around with the parts of it and said "It's a peice of equipment made for putting an off button on things"

Also nuts and bolts were jammed in it, and she fished those out too. Then she told him "We can install the button, so if it does get out of control, we can try to turn it off."

  14. Rujeim gasped in horror at her suddenly talk, this all seemed like madness to him. In all his travels and experiments he had never heard anything so mad. He looked at her with a head half tilted and eyes as wide as he could look at her. He didnÂ’t think this could get any worse.

"You mean to tell me it hasnÂ’t already got one." He said incredulously, he was almost gawping.

  15. "You didn't know?" she said in a half guilty tone, "This type of stuff is rare, of course I couldn't put one on" she said stuffing it into the bag. She was halfway tempted to break out laughing, she didn't expect that reaction.

"Well now relax, I've studied this all my life, you make me look like a biginner so calm down" she said.

  16. Rujeim took comfort in her words, she was right, he was being an irrational fool and yet deep down he couldnÂ’t help it. He had a set logical mind that needed reason for anything, then again, nothing was perfect. He carefully did up the lid of his bag with two of his hands while his other arms picked up a pole he had adopted for walking purposes.

"Yes your right, I'm sorry if IÂ’m A little insulting I'm just not used to robots being smarter than me" he said in a way that sounded very arrogant yet was just him being a fool really.

He preferred numbers that he could control, the law of physics was his law, science fact ruled his life. He was almost a slave to logic, so much so he was trapped by it.

  17. She hauled the bag onto her back when she spotted something metalic move, like a spybot, or something worse. She thought about it alot after that, what it could've been, what it could not've been. She watched around, and was being very careful...Again.

She tried her hardest to relax but couldn't, she didn't care anymore though, they had other problems.

  18. As they prepared to move out with his bag carried in two of his arms, then his head twitched towards a sound. His eyes scanned the piles of scrap carefully yet with a nervous speed. His eyes flickered about until they saw a glimmer of movement, a small metallic thing that gave him a sinister feel. One of his hands reached down into his gun holster, it was a little laser pistol that he made for protection. It was more than capable of melting metal yet he was such a sissy with guns.

"Erm did you see that" he said as he feebly lifted his gun up with a somewhat pathetic stance.

He poke one piece of scrap out of the way as he tried to get a clearer shot of the lumps of metal moving. He was very scared right now and they only thing stopping him from shaking was him gripping insanely tightly on his staff with his last free hand.

  19. "Unfortunetly, yes..." she said with no tone at all she pulled some blades out of her bag and waited, the thing got closer, she watched it, then punced. She held her blades to it then noticed "It's a spybot, but who would want to spy on us?"

She didn't let her gaurd down, something dangerous could be watching.

  20. Rujeim looked at the little robot, its galvanized structure standing out from the rest of the scrap. He looked at her with a blade to it, he didnÂ’t see how that would harm something made of metal but he didnÂ’t argue over something so stupid.

"Maybe its from Talis Adamaint, after all he does run this area, even if its past its prime." He said with a confused look, one hand slipping the pistol back into its holster and then bringing his hand up to stroke his chin in a bemusing fashion.

"Maybe he wants to know what we are doing with the machine." he said as his brain came to a logical conclusion. it could be a completely different thing yet it seemed the most likely to him. It could however be random smugglers or even bandits but he wasnÂ’t so pessimistic. He looked at her to see if she had any theories.
