Love, sorrow and all-night long parties

"<span style='color:blue'>No I wont!</span>" Shouted the slightly shaken Subaria at an open invitation by a young, obsenely clothed she-'dragon. He was definately shaken by their casualness and shamelessness. He walked almost aimlessly in the direction of the bar, refusing two more invitations. >>I never should have become an assassin<< he thought. >>Momma was right, I should have become a psychiatrist. It would be interesting to study these wackoes...<<
The party went on at full swing, there were drinks, feamales, drugs, and just about everything a young party-goer would have wanted. Subaria wasn't happy. He had completed a covert misson and it had all gone unbelievably well... Almost TOO well... He had been told to get a weeks rest, have a good time, and be ready for the next mission when he reported back.
That was the problem... He had lived a mostly funless life, and he didn't know how to have a good time. Yet, being determined to have one, he had called on one of his old school friends who resided at Watani to help him out... Now he severely regretted it.
Reaching the bar, he ordered a couple of drinks, and roughly pushed one into the hands of a femme 'dragon who seemed to be attemting to seduce him. "<span style='color:blue'>Take this and get lost</span>" He muttered to her as he saw her run away, giggling off. >>I wonder what she was high on<< he thought to himself. After gulping down two drinks, he looked around, trying to find his friend...

BIC:
Subaria noticed a young femme' sitting next to him. She DID look cute, but at a place like this, you could only wish for someone decent to talk to, let alone have some fun with. He noticed that she was wearing a gold choker and earrings and she looked depressed. She stared into her cup and then put her head on her hands. He wondered what was troubling her, and why for some weird reason he was attracted to her.
"<span style='color:blue'>Hi, want a drink?</span>"He enquired. He got anoter two drinks, and left one infront of her. He studied her intently, and came to the conclusion that she was around 18(00) years old. Just then, he felt a tap on his shoulder, and he whirled around. It was Japheth, the friend of his that he came with. "<span style='color:red'>Be on the balcony by 4 in the morning</span>" he was told, and then Japheth dissappeared.
Grunting, Subaria turned around and started on his second drink.

"<span style='color:blue'>Your welcome</span>" He said. "<span style='color:blue'>The names Subaria. Subaria Anaqua</span>" As he ordered another drink. He started drinking it slowly, knowing that it would be a bad idea to have too much. He too started to stare intently into his cup, and noticing a fly in it, reached in and pulled it out, and threw it across the room. Then he turned back to his drink. Sadly, he didn't notice that the fly exploded and gave off some acid that made a small hole in the wall it hit.
Someone was trying to kill him. His cup was empty in a matter of seconds, and he sighed. He looked at the femme' again, and having nothing better to do, asked "<span style='color:blue'>So, you still in school?</span>"

 

<span style='color:blue'>"Nah, passed out a while ago</span>" he said "<span style='color:blue'>Just a freelancer...An odd job here and there, you know.</span> " <span style='color:blue'>So, you wanna stay here? It's getting a bit crowded... How 'bout the balcony? </span>" he said as he flicked a peice of food off the bar-top and got up.

He stood and stared up at the beautiful blue full moon, high in the sky, shedding its silvery shroud. The noise of the party was slightly dulled as he glanced at the big french doors behind them. There was a small garden, and he went to the railing and looked out over the beautiful, crystal-clear lake that shimmered in the light of the moon.
The forest he saw behind the lake was quite dense, and the leaves, wet with rain threw light randomly in all directions. A stag appeared at the edge, and he watched as it went down to quench it's thirst.
Looking back at the doors, he noticed that the party was slowly dying down. The music slowed to a peaceful, serene song.
He looked straight into Nudek's eyes and sighed. "<span style='color:blue'>This place is so beautiful, and you only add to the beauty</span>" He said.
"<span style='color:blue'>So, do you live here?</span>" He was starting to get a bit sloshed, and it was a first for him. He had never loved before... Neither had he gotten drunk. So this is what they do on a brake . The idea of not working to hunt down the planets most dangerous criminals was new to him.

"<span style='color:blue'>Yeah, I'm fine</span>" He said giving her a goofy grin. He was starting to float away with his dreams, he felt as if he was drowning in those big, blood-red eyes of Nudek. He felt an immense sense of happiness. But he sensed something wrong. Something in Nudek's manner, as if she was not telling him something...
He knew he wasn't thinking straight, and thought he should clear his head out a bit... maybe wash his face out... maybe drown himself... >>I'm already drowning...<< he realized as he tried to stop looking into Nudek's eyes.
He then noticed something very strange...>>what is that thing glittering up there on the roof?... << he thought as glimpsed a shadow slip across the tiles... It couldent be... Could it?...
>>Oh no...The idiot wouldent have... << He thought as sudden realization came to him. >>SHIT << "Nudek, I'm sorry, but I have to tell you something. There is someone trying to kill me. Remember that guy who talked to me in the bar? He was supposed to be my friend... The idiot must have tipped someone off. I have to go, but I hope we meet soon..." He said this to Nudek in a slightly shaky voice, but kept looking straight at her, and acted as if nothing was happening...

 

"<span style='color:blue'>Because I'm a-</span>"Subaria began, but was cut short by the sound of an arrow and without thinking, like a reflex, he pushed Nudek away from him and hurled himself backwards.
He went sprawling backwards into somebody, who he tried to tell to run, but on seeing the 'dragon's face, he thought better, Instead, he flexed his left wrist, and a crystal-like dagger appeared from his wrist.
He pressed it to Japheth's neck and swung him around, using him as a shield. When there was not another shot, he walked towards Nudek, holding Japheth between himself and the place where he heard the sound come from.
When he got to Nudek, he grabbed Japheth's neck and pulled his head back, so that he could talk into his ear, and still use him as a shield.
"<span style='color:blue'>One move, and your going back to fronima</span>" He growled as he tightened his grip. "<span style='color:blue'>Nudek, you have to get out of here... They might try to kill you if they think you are a wittness... </span>

 

Subaria opened his eyes wide as he felt Nudek's hand bring down his neck, and felt his first kiss as she pulled him into it, and the fact that he had nearly been killed seconds ago had been shoved back into his subconcious, and had been told to stay put.
He looked into her large, round, blood red eyes and had a sensation of drowning.....Again. He let go of Japheth, who bolted away, and it took a whole second to work it out. A second too long. Realising too late, he pulled Nudek out of the kiss, and thrust her away as he felt a searing pain in his thigh. An arrow had dug itself in, and he slipped sideways, onto his side, and he screamed at Nudek to run.

 

"<span style='color:blue'>Yeah, just get outta here</span>" He said as he pulled the arrow from his leg, and ripped his shirt into a bandage that he used to reduce the bleeding. At the same time, he turned over a table, so that there was a solid layer of wood between tham and whoever had shot him.
"<span style='color:blue'>GO</span>" He nearly screamed at the shocked looking Nudek. <span style='color:blue'>More of them will come, and I dont want you to be around here.</span>"

 

Subaria watched in horror as Nudek changed into a demon, and yelled for her to stop as she killed his attacker and watched as his carcass landed next to him.
Nudek jumped back onto the roof, and she could see the fire in the demon's eyes, hate, anger, and contempt, and he shouted, trying to get Nudek back to her senses. He went cold with fear as he saw Nudek raise her paw to kill him, and then at the last second hold back the demon. The strain was too much for her and he groaned as she fell unconcious on the floor.
He managed to crawl to her, and he put something in her hand. It was a bracelet of two lovers entwined around a golden heart. Then he got up, picked her up, and hopped down the outer stairs and put her down next to the lake.
He bent down and kissed her, and then turned around and whispered "<span style='color:blue'>We shall meet again</span>" As he limped off into the night.
