Being so small came in handy for a certain pendragon though. Squeezing her way through the small openings between people she slipped passed and headed out the big from doors to the school. <span style='color:gray'>"Ouch!"</span> She glowered up at the persona belonging to the foot that had stepped on the edges of her wings. They were such a nuisance... They hung inches past her own feet as they were to large and out of proportion to her own body. Being larg as such made it difficult to fly for her. Hearing an sympathetic appology from the 'dragon she mumbled and walked out with a grumpy sigh. She would have taken the back routes but to take them would have caused her to burst out in tears. Huffing a growl she dragged her ruffled white feathered wings to a bench and smoothed out her fluffy gray fur. <span style='color:gray'>"Such a pain..."</span> Looking at the sky she wished to reach out to the endless clouds that floated by... They seemed not the have a care in the world where they drifted... Well, if they were capable of careing at all that is. A lsight breeze brushed her black hair into her face, almost as a responce from the unlikely forms int he sky...
OOC Lonbak Martyr (http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=883#</a>) IC Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Lonbak lied on his back stareing up at the clock on the wall from his bed. He couldn't sleep, like usually, his creative mind was at unrest. He needed to go out and do something, his mind was liable to explode if he didn't. He hopped out of bed, robotically grabbing a dirty long sleeved sweat shirt and some baggy jeans. He looked at his arms, the points of the horns barely visible under the sleeves, he wanted to get rid of the things but everything he tried to do just didn't help things. He half jogged out the door, dodgeing the one or two pendragons he passed by, nearly tripping on a Yki. "Sorry, sorry." He hollered back as he continued down the hallway. Jumping down the stairs, when he reached the bottom he was sucked into the mass of pendragons running to and from classes. He saw the light from the open doors and tried to make his way through without pushing anyone. But he realised that didn't work out when he felt his foot land on someones wing. He barely noticed and continued dodgeing through. He finally made it outside and looked up at the clear sunny sky, and noticed a storm cloud off in the distance. His mind started putting stories together without thinking of it. He walked across the grounds to a large patch of grass where he happily fell back onto. He heard a ripping noise when he landed and realised his back horns must of punched a hole through his shirt. But it was normal.
Small fingers reached to the sky as she looked up and blocked the sun from her eyes. Everything seemed quite for a minute as memories filled her mind. Building emotions pressed against her chest as the young pendragon almost jumped up from the bench in a hurry, forgetting her belongings on the bench. Her feet made little noise as she rushed passed the tree to whom the 'wing stepper' sat under. Her gaspy breath was a dead giveaway to the tears that streamed her face. the ones she hoped no one saw because she ran with her head down. Finding refuge under a large bulky tree she held onto a silver necklace and silently weeped. Why was it that it had to be like this? Screams tryed to force their way from her mouth but not wanting anyone to see her, she forced them back down. Taking a hand she wiped her tears but still more came. The silver locket glisened in the sun seeping through the branches as they moved in the wind. Smiling a weak smile she opened the locket and stared at the picture of the two eleven year old girls staring back at her with smiling faces. They had thei arms wrapped around eachother and were wearing clothes they had gotten from Kailea's sister-in-law, Teakany. The older girl had bought them clothes for their first days at school that year and insisted they take a picture to remember it. Kailea was glad the picture had been taken... She would never see Tsujcettap again... Ever... And this picture made her smile. It was comfort in a bottle, or locket that is.
Lonbak had nearly dozed off, his mind and thoughts were trailing away. His ears twitched, at first he thought he could hear footsteps, but they were just barely below audible. But he did hear one thing, the small click of something very small and sounded like metal. He looked around, noticing that he was closer to a tree than he thought he was. And now that he noticed that, he could see just the tip of someones wing hanging out from it. A bent wing. He thought back to the flood of other dragons moving out the doors, and the feeling of something soft under his foot. He crawled up to the tree, trying to keep quiet. Then turned around and sat up, his back to the tree. He felt his horns make small holes into the tree, god they were annoying. Looking around to see if anyone would bother him, he turned his head to hear if the broken wing had a body attatched and hopefully would say something. But what he heard made his heart split into two. The soft crying of a child. He began to hope that it wasn't him that had hurt their wing, cuase if he had hurt this person that bad his heart would be in a lot more pieces than two. Resting his head up against the tree, his mind began pumping out possible stories of what had and will happen to this nameless person.
The girls chest heaved, taking in ragged breaths as she wiped tears from one eye. She pulled her knees to her chest and let her wings droop around her. <span style='color:gray'>"Why did you have to leave Tsujcettap..."</span> Breaking down into sobs once more, the locket slipped from her fingers as the large wings pulled up around her. From rubbing her eyes so much they burned from the salty tears. Because of this her foot-claws dug into the ground, almost trying to realse tension. Black hair tangled around her fingers as she tryed to stop crying. <span style='color:gray'>"Hiei is always so exausted from taking care of the twins... I can't go bother him..."</span> She cautioned herself. She didn't wish to bother her brother anymore than was necessary.
Talk about heart shattering, Lonbak listened intently as, who he thought must be a young girl, talked to herself. He quickly figured that the girl lost someone close to her, and he couldn't stand to sit idly by as she talked as if she had no one to help her. He quietly lifted himself off the ground and walked around the tree, then kneeled down in front of the small black figure. He looked down and noticed the small locket on the ground. Picking it up gently as if he was picking up a bomb, he looked into it and then held it out to the girl. "Umm, I think you dropped this." He said, trying to make as gentle a voice as he could.
Not noticing the sound of feet coming around her, she nearly jumped out of her skin as the voice adressed her. Tear stained, wide fearfull eyes gaped up at the dragon before her. Her crying didn't stop as she reached a shaky hand and grasped the locket. She wished to say thank you but no matter how hard she tried no more words escaped her mouth. She gave a weary smile at the kneeling 'dragon infront of her. It was all she could do right then and there to give her thanks since her voice woulnd't work for her. Rubbing her eyes and wiping tears away she tried to stop crying. She must look pitifull sitting behind a tree weeping over her fond memories. She must look like a total wreck, at least thats what she thought. It was hard to not to think like that, she'd seen Rluknyym after Tsujcettap, his little sister, died. He didn't eat much for weeks, at least SHE knew better than to stop eating. She didn't want to die, even if it meant seeing her friend again. <span style='color:gray'>"T-Thanks..."</span> She said between crying gasps.
Lonbak moved and sat down next to her, he noticed her tear stained eyes, so he ask,"Whats wrong?" He gave her a reasureing nudge. Sitting crosslegged and with his hands behind his head he relaxed, trying to make her feel comfortable enough to help him help her. He felt his horns yet again stick into the tree, there was nothing he could do. He pulled his sleeves down, worried any horns would scare her. But then his stomach growled, loudly. He tried to remind himself for later to get something to eat.
Even though her hands were wet with tears, she still attempted to wipe more away. She held the locket on one hand and let her tear stained one fall to her lap. She took a deap breath and tryed to calm herself. She could tell that he wanted to help, most people would leave a child to cry to her family about her problems, but when your only relative is your brother, who is a father and a student, its hard to complain to him and burden him more with her problems. From crying so much, her responce was garbled from the constant inhaled gasps. <span style='color:gray'>"A-Alot of things..."</span> She didn't know what to say, she didn't even know this 'dragon and wasn't sure weather to say anythign in case word got out about there being an assassin living in the school, as well as a small family of vampires, including herself. She needed to see if this person was trustworthy, she would take great steps to protect her brother and her new family. <span style='color:gray'>"I'm... not sure if is hould say..."</span> Saying anything might put her and her brother out of school and the one that was after them out to get revenge even more... She didn't want that to happen... <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>... Wow... Crappy post XD Hope you dont mind XD </td></tr></table>
Lonbak looked at the girl, he thought hard for the next responce, but it wasn't all that hard. "Want to hear a story..." He ended the question, trying to remember if she told him her name, which he realised she hadn't. "Ummm, what is your name?"
Sniffling as she looked up at him in wonder. She had one brow raised at him, her face almost asked the question for itself. <span style='color:gray'>"A... A Story?"</span> She asked as her voice started to calm itself. Wiping her eyes again as a loose eyelash founds its way into the crevice of her eye, she tried frantically to get it out as her eyes watered what tears were left. She made a slight whining noise as it felt like a needle was being poked into the corner of her eye socket. It wasn't comfortable and right now, the slightest thing would make her scream. "My name... Is Kailea..." She said still rubbing her eyes like a child. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td> I HATE when you get eyelashes stuck in your eye, specially after you've been crying becasue your eyes already hurt from the salt in your tears. </td></tr></table>
Lonbak sat back, relaxing. "Kailea... thats a beautiful name..." He stated sincerely. "Well. my story begins with a young girl like yourself, but her name was Sontee. She was about your size, but completely white, and I mean blindingly white. But when she grew older she fell in love with an older man, and she married him. But the man was very mean, and forced her into doing everthing for him. Cooking, cleaning, and the such. And soon her fur became so dirty that it wasn't white anymore." He paused, which he usually did to make sure he had the audiences attention.
Kailea's attention was grabbed from the start. She was curious as to what he had to say. She looked at her feet and smiled when he comented on her name. She was a shy person at times, and even the slightest things would cause her to hide her face outof embarasment, even if it was something others woulnd't shy about so easily. she nodded in acknoledgement of his story. Raising her head slightly to look at him she sat their her hands on her legs that were lay straight out infront of her. <span style='color:gray'>"And... what happened to the girl?"</span> she wondered outloud.
Lonbak continued the story, barely skipping a beat,"One day the girl was washing the floors, and she noticed a crack in the wall in front of her. On this piece of the wall hung a beautiful painting of an older woman. She pulled on the edge of the painting and the wall opened to show her a dark small room inside. She grabbed a torch off the wall next to her and walked in, and what she saw nearly made her scream, in joy." He puased dramatically.
Kailea's eyes had gone wide, she thought something bad might happen but once he'd said she had screemed for joy she chuckled. <span style='color:gray'>"Hehehe, i thought something horrible was going to happen... Oops, sorry for interupting..."</span> the grass swayed in the wind as she looked back down to her feet. The story was getting interesting, she was already pondering on things that could happen.
Lonbak smiled back reasuringly,"Well, inside the room was a closet full of beautiful gowns and a dresser full of amazing clothes. She played all day in the room. Trying on different clothes that each had different styles. Then she noticed that on the tag of each one was the same name. Konbra Newlette. The name seemed vaguely familiar, but she couldn't quite place it. She placed the dresses back into their rightful drawers and in the closest. Quietly she snuck out the door and paused to hear her husband's footsteps comeing from around the corner."
Kailea covered her mouth as she let out a slight gasp. Putting her hands on her knees and nodding intently she asked, <span style='color:gray'>"What did the husband do?"</span> Other question like, 'Whos name was it ont he dress?', 'did the husband know what she was doing?' And a few others ran through her head. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td> Lol, its hard to post at story intervals without making her sound like a four year old -.-' Just tell the story Kuhuhuhuu. I'm already interested in what you are putting together for this story =3 </td></tr></table>
Lonbak shrugged,"Well first off the girl closed the door and immediatly grabbed the brush to keep cleaning the floors. Her husband turned the corner and looked at her sternly before mearly stepping over her and continueing down the hall. The moment he turned the corner she glanced back up at the painting, then she noticed, at the very bottom of the painting, printed in gold letters was the name,'Konbra Brewnah'. She stared at the first name, she knew it was the same first name as those on the dresses, but why was the last name different? Then her husband came back and ordered her to clean his room up on the second floor of the mansion of a house they had. She did as she was ordered and she went up to his room, not wanting him to be suspicous but yearning to investigate the portrait. She dusted and mopped the room, dreading every moment. But when she was wipeing off his dresser, she found a little black box. She looked around sneakily and opened it up, to reaveal the largest diamond encrusted ring she had ever seen. The thing could have poked her eye out. She picked it up and examined it, and noticed that the inside was inscribed. 'Konbra Newlette, My diamond forever.' She knew what happened then, Brewnah was Konbra's married name. And she must of been keeping her room to hide from her husband. Her mind drifted when her husband walked in, her standing there with the ring on her finger. And he broke down, his eyes teared up as he shouted at her to get out and never touch the ring again. And that night, she stole her way back to the room, and finding a beautiful wedding dress in the back of the closet, she put it on, and left the room. Her husband turned the corner and nearly burst into tears,"Konbra! My dear your back!" She smiled and nodded. "Hun, I have come back to set things right. I dont want you too treat anyone any less than they treat you ever again. And I must go, forever, this is my final good bye." With that she turned and walked away, but before she turned the corner the husband called her name and tossed the ring to her, which she caught, slipped on her finger and walked out of his life forever. Now on the street in a wedding dress isn't the best of ideas, but she found that everyman she walked by proposed marriage to her. She replied no to everyone one of them, until she met a very handsome boy her age, who held up a rose and stated his name, which made her remember that this was the boy she had a crush on so long before her husband and her married, and she accepted his proposal and they lived happily ever after. And everyonce in awhile, she returns to the old house to steal a few minutes in the secret room." Lonbak ended it, smileing to her hoping she liked the story.
<span style='color:gray'>"So... She lived happily ever after with the younger man?"</span> She smiled at Lonbak and then sniffed as she felt her nose start to run. <span style='color:gray'>"That was a good story... but the old man was left all alone... Yes he was mean to his wife and deserves it i guess... I dunno... It was a good story though."</span> She made a small chuckle and sighed, releasing pent up emotions. <span style='color:gray'>"Thank you... I feel better now..."</span>
Lonbak smiled reassuringly,"The old man was happy that he was able to speak to his long lost love again. And he passed on happily shortly after." He was more than happy to make her feel better. "And the moral of the story is, No matter what you get yourself into, there will always be people you can count on to get you out." He smiled broadly. "So Kailea, what do you have planned for the day?"
