Picking herself up off of the comfortable leather chair, she headed in the direction of the dorms. She took her time, gazing at all of the interesting photographs and modern style decor. Her bushy tail swayed nonchalantly as she stopped in front of the window at the end of the hallway. It was a pretty nice day out, save for the odd passing breeze. If it weren't for her laziness, she would have probably taken a snooze under a tree in the courtyard. Still facing the window, she took a chance to use the reflection as a mirror. She tied her hair up into a high ponytail, and left a few strands of her jet black mane to cover her eyes. Nearly content with her appearance, she flattened out her onyx baby doll t-shirt. She recently acquired it, and as of right now it was the favorite in her collection. Right in the middle of her chest was a silver snowflake that glittered even in the dark, almost like there was a sort of enchantment on it. Sighing at her good catch, she continued off to her dorm. This time taking the long way and going up the stairs.
-OOC- Nice post, might be too much for me lol -IC- Naleth clung to the wall with a death grip, quite footsteps could be heard comeing up the stairs. She hopped off the wall and looked over the edge of the staircase (Im thinking she's a couple floors above and the stairs go up many floors, correct me if Im wrong), and without making a sound she jumped over the edge, gripping at the concrete. She pulled herself into the corner created by the underside of the stairs, switching to black quickly to avoid being caught. "<FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="2"><FONT COLOR="#9FBFEF">N</FONT><FONT COLOR="#99B6F1">o</FONT><FONT COLOR="#94ADF2">w</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8EA4F4"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#889BF5">w</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8392F7">h</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7D8AF9">o</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7781FA"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#7178FC">c</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6C6FFD">o</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6666FF">u</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6666FF">l</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6C6FFD">d</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7178FC"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#7781FA">t</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7D8AF9">h</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8293F7">i</FONT><FONT COLOR="#889BF5">s</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8EA4F4"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#94ADF2">b</FONT><FONT COLOR="#99B6F1">e</FONT><FONT COLOR="#9FBFEF">?</FONT></FONT>" She asked herself quietly, her heart thumped as she could hear the footsteps getting closer and closer. She couldn't understand why she was so worried, it was probably just a student moving from class to class. But still... this one sounded... different.
Chiara continued to make her way up the stairs, rummaging through her tote bag to get her keys. She heard the familiar jingle and pulled them out. Everyone has their odd habits.. Hers happened to be collecting little key chains and the like. She had everything from cute little squishy things to miniature organizers. There wasn't really a use for any of them, they just contented her in knowing that her collection was growing. It used to be really heavy, so she actually just made a separate set for her actual keys and her accumulated junk. Her ears flickered lightly, and her hair pricked up. A chill just surged through her spine and she had the odd sensation she was being watched. Yet knowing she often heard things that weren't there, she simply continued her trek. Nearing the door to the hallway of her floor, she opened it up casually and stalked through. For some reason though, she felt like she was being followed and quickened her pace. Her footfalls fell silent, and her senses alert for any movements.
Naleth saw the white pendragon comeing up the stairs, searching her bag for something, then the all too familiar sound of keys being jingled came to her ears. She was distracted by the sound and didn't realise the dragon had turned down one of the corriders. Without a second thought she quickly hopped over to the over hang of the corridor roof. At this point she suddenly realised that she was following a dragon, which appeared to be a girl, for no reason other than pure curiousity. She poked her head under the overhang, trying to get a better look at her, but for some reason the new dragon was stopped in the hallway, standing perfectly still. Like a lightning bolt she knew what she was doing, even an ear twitch could not be more obvious, but several of her lessons flashed through her head. Now any newbie would try and hide, but any movement could be heard, so she stopped breathing. This was difficult becuase her head was hanging down into the corridor and she cant move, her body wanted to hide but her mind wouldn't let it.
Chiara clutched her keys tightly in her hand, some one was definitely watching her. The hunting part of her told her to shift positions from the prey to the hunter, but her common sense just told her to search out the intruder first. She opened her lips to mouth a few words, but she considered it and it would just be foolish to speak and lose the advantage of knowing she was being followed. She stalked over to her door, thanking the gods she was lucky enough to get a room in the lower levels. As she was going to slip the key into its hole, she spun on her heels and faced the direction of the stairs. Her eyes scanned the corridor in a search for this being. Now that her advantage was up, and as she was also tired of the game she finally spoke. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Who's there?"</span> Her voice was stern, in more of a commanding tone then an asking. She was not afraid, and even if she was, this 'stalker' wasn't about to find out.
Naleth froze in shock. No one had ever turned on her before, not literally anyways. Her fur switched back to white just before her grip slipped and she fell crashing to the floor. Lyeing there in a heap of white fur and wings she groaned. "<FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="2"><FONT COLOR="#9FBFEF">S</FONT><FONT COLOR="#9AB8F0">o</FONT><FONT COLOR="#96B0F2"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#91A9F3">m</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8CA1F4">u</FONT><FONT COLOR="#879AF6">c</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8293F7">h</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7E8BF8"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#7984FA">f</FONT><FONT COLOR="#747CFB">o</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7075FC">r</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6B6DFE"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#6666FF">b</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6666FF">e</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6A6DFE">i</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6F74FD">n</FONT><FONT COLOR="#737BFB">g</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7881FA"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#7C88F9">s</FONT><FONT COLOR="#808FF8">t</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8596F6">e</FONT><FONT COLOR="#899DF5">a</FONT><FONT COLOR="#8DA4F4">l</FONT><FONT COLOR="#92AAF3">t</FONT><FONT COLOR="#96B1F1">h</FONT><FONT COLOR="#9BB8F0">y</FONT><FONT COLOR="#9FBFEF">.</FONT></FONT>" She mumbled to herself. She rolled over onto her back, coughing and gagging. She sat up clutching at her chest, trying to make the coughing stop. She completely forgot how she got to the floor let alone that she was trying to follow this unknown dragon.
Chiara jumped from the sudden crashing and crumpling of a 'dragon's body. She was completely caught by surprise; she wasn't expecting them to be dropping out of the air like a fly. She immediately dropped her belongings and rushed over to help them. It kind of freaked her out that it was a femme following her, not that she was sexist or anything. She just expected... A male. Kneeling on the ground next to the albino 'dragon, she extended an arm to help her up. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Hey there, you okay?" </span>It only occurred to her then, that she would have normally noticed a stark white 'dragon following her. How did she slip past her relatively keen eye? Making a mental note to ask about that later, she moved to wrap an arm around the female and bring her to her feet.
Naleth shook her head as the new female rushed to her side. She was even more surprised when she asked if she was ok. When a hand extended her way she was nearly knocked back by astonishment, but not trying to be rude after following her she accepted the hand and leaned into the female to better help herself up. "<FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE="2"><FONT COLOR="#9FBFEF">I</FONT><FONT COLOR="#94ADF2">m</FONT><FONT COLOR="#889BF5"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#7D8AF9">s</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7178FC">o</FONT><FONT COLOR="#6666FF"> </FONT><FONT COLOR="#6666FF">s</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7178FC">o</FONT><FONT COLOR="#7D8AF9">r</FONT><FONT COLOR="#889BF5">r</FONT><FONT COLOR="#94ADF2">y</FONT><FONT COLOR="#9FBFEF">.</FONT></FONT>" Were all the words she could say as they came to mind. She took a couple shakey steps towards the wall for something to lean on, winceing as she used her left foot.
Chiara knew despite being stalked, that she should have helped the 'dragon out. It was just in her character to do that. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Nah that's alright. Seems you got a nasty fall there. What were you doing up there anyways?"</span> She couldn't contain herself, what was so interesting about her that some one would want to follow her? <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Well never mind that now, here come into my dorm. I think you need some ice or something."</span> She moved towards her room, taking it slow so that she could keep up. Her tail wrapped around the femme's waist just for the added support.
Naleth grunted quietly as she turned from the wall to continue down the hall with the female. She jumped alittle at the unfamiliar touch of the females tail around her waist, but oddly it felt... kinda nice. She tried her best not to hop on one foot and give her weakness away. But then she realised there was nothing to hide and she hopped on one foot anyways. She put her arm around Chaira's neck to better stable her hopping. She fought with herself to find a word to describe it, ultimately comeing up with "safe". -OOC- Msn me when you get back
Chiara nodded and gave Naleth a smile. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"I'm Chiara." </span>If truth be told, she wasn't too worried if some one knew her name. It was nice hearing her name and knowing that other people could see her, like she existed. Gently putting the key into the lock, she turned it to the side before hearing a small 'click'. She shifted her weight to her other foot, and used her free knee to push open the door. The apartment was relatively clean, maybe the odd dish or two lying around but that was about it. Directing them towards the couch, she slowly leaned forwards so Naleth could sit down. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"One sec, stay here. I'll be right back." </span>Chiara gave her a reassuring nod before sauntering over to the kitchen. She pulled out an ice pack and grabbed a dish towel before coming back. Before the femme could object, Chiara moved the coffee table in front of them and lifted her leg on top of it. Her hands slid across her legs as she put a towel around her ankle and then finally placing the ice on top. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"It might sting at first, but it'll help keep the swelling down."</span>
Naleth groaned as Chiara set her down onto the couch. She had some time to look around the room, it was pretty clean. Not like a compulsive cleaners room would be, but it was a relatively normal. Chiara shook her head lightly, no need for thanks. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Nah don't worry about it. I couldn't just let you stay there in pain. Just not like me."</span> She smiled genuinely at her. Hearing the groan, she rushed off into her bedroom and zoomed back out with a white fluffy pillow. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Here, lift your leg up and I'll put this under. It'll be much more comfortable."</span> She waited for her reply as she slid the cushion underneath. Being followed and having sensed it, put herself into a different mindset. Slightly more stressed as well if you wanted to put a name on it. So many things had been happening that she was just getting lost in the moment. Without thinking about it, she plopped down on the couch next to Naleth. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Is it going numb now?"</span>
Naleth watched chiara run off into what was supposedly her bedroom, but when she saw her come back with a pillow she couldn't but let out a little laugh. "Thank you so much," she replied as she slowly lifted her leg, letting Chiara slide the pillow under. "It is a little numb." She smiled, she could see her foot swelling slowly. She sat there for a little, then the thought of how this girl could be so comfortable knowing that she was following her. "Is there anyway I can repay you?" --OOC-- meh, colour changeing takes to much work :P
Chiara shrugged, she wasn't looking for anything in return. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Nothing really.."</span> She paused, maybe she could help her something. She was interested in taking some assasination courses, and she assumed Naleth had been following for some time. Apparently she was somewhat skilled in the art of stalking. That would for sure be something she needed to know in order to become hopefully a good assasin. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Well actually.. How long had you been watching me? I only realized you were there about as I came into the hallway. Could you by any chance teach me how you were so.." </span>She couldn't find a better word for it. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Stealthy? </span>Well with the exception from dropping from the ceiling. Heh." She suppressed a laugh.
Naleth was thrown off by the question, she cant teach. At least she hasn't before, and the reason she was so good was becuase of her *special* fur. She looked into Chiara's eyes, preparing to tell her no. "Yes." She froze up, unable to believe she had just said yes. What was it about this girl that was pulling naleth along like she was on a leash? She quickly snapped out of it when a jolt of pain shot up her leg, cuaseing her to jump a little.
Chiara nearly jumped at her response, she thought she was going to say no too. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Oh. Oh! Wow." </span>She was about to move in and hug her but when Naleth jumped she pulled away. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Ah god, are you okay?"</span> Her eyes darted quickly to her ankle and she noticed the ice had shifted slightly. Bending forwards, she went and place the ice back on where it was supposed to be. Her expression couldn't be filled with any more joy. She had always wanted to get a few courses on the side before going to see a professional and applying for a job. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"This is just so... Wow. Awesome."</span> It was odd, but she really wanted to kiss her. No one had ever been so nice to her, in kind of odd way.
Naleth wanted to be as happy as chiara but previouse events made that very difficult. But she still couldn't understand why she said yes. She didn't notice her moving in to hug her, which would of been her first contact with another being in a while, but leaned over to the arm of the couch and rested her head lightly. "So when do you want to start?" Yet again, another uncontrolled mouth movement. She looked down to her ankle and realised that one of the scales was still black. She tried to reach for it but couldn't quite reach without cuasing herself more pain.
Chiara watched her curiously as she moved to a more comfortable position. It was as if she was studying her every move to learn from her. She was busy staring at her when she realized she had spoken. <span style='color:#3399FF'>"Oh, erm. Whenever I guess. Maybe as soon as posible?"</span> These 'lessons' could end up being really enjoyable. Unless Naleth turned out to be a tightass, which she didn't think was possible. She just seemed, too different to be thought of that way. Chiara watched Naleth's gaze and noticed it landed on her ankle. She automatically assumed it was because it was numb or starting to hurt, but she realized there was a black patch. She brushed it of and simply looked at it like it was a birthmark. Looking back at Naleth's facial expression, it seemed to be something more.
Naleth tried to twist her leg as to keep the black scale out of chiara's view, but there was only one way to do that. She casually sat back up and leaned onto Chiara's shoulder. One twist of the leg and the black scale was gone, although now she was in a tight spot, and she politely asked,"Its a little chilly in here, would you happen to have a blanket?" She pressed her hand down in between them to add support. She tried to take her head off of her shoulder but she couldn't. It was weird. No, not weird.... It felt nice... She couldn't explain what had been comeing over her lately. At first she thought she was just sick in the head.
