<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td> Where: The docks of Terhesian Port When: Dyo 22, 81382, a few hours after sunset Who: http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=60Kazul Reatuf</a> </td></tr></table> This wasnÂ’t his body. It didnÂ’t feel like his or move like his, but in truth it was. He just wasnÂ’t in control at the moment, something else was. The white arden walked down the wooden planks that made up the streets near the port, in his plaid pajama pants and old t-shirt, having been prepared for bed before drinking his homemade concoction and falling asleep. His feet barely made a sound as he moved, due to the fact that he wasnÂ’t wearing any shoes, theyÂ’d be sore in the morning. Had he been in his own farm of mind he would have found the whole scene quite embarrassing, but alas, what was some shame in a dream. Add in his white pupil less eyes and his slow steady steps and he could easily pass for a blind man, having lost his way from a care center. However, tonight he wasnÂ’t the one in need of help. He had started experimenting with mixtures a few weeks ago, the sleep walking had only started recently, but never had he traveled this far. Before this he was having vivid dreams that often took place in reality a few days later, but he could only foresee tiny bits a pieces, most of it slipping away before he finished getting dressed in the morning. It was already rather late, the last bits of sunshine had disappeared for the night. For this port, night wasnÂ’t necessarily their quietest hour. There. Around the corner, some disturbance that his feet were feeling drawn towards. Somewhere he was supposed to be. He let his feet take him there, or at least he tried to make himself believe he had some sort of choice in the matter. This was a new dream, not like his other ones, not like he remembered half of those anyway. He knew this wasnÂ’t his past, and by the looks of it, he hoped it wasnÂ’t his future. To bad for him, it was reality and it was happing now.
OOC: I'm thinking of playing as Kanata for this one, as I do not plan on playing as Zidan (Because I'm already playing with him and I would rather prefer to let that one play out before starting another one) or Gadu (Ladies first, but Zidan was played because I thought he seemed appropriate for his current thread). I hope She will play her part well. Kanata walked on the wooden planks of the port, he clothing wafting through the wind. She had entered the town the day before and had a good idea of where she was and where she was going. He initial plan was to take a scenic ride in the subs on her way to Aurius, to try to get a part in a huge act that she had heard about. After some time, she stopped in an area with a modest amount of 'dragons. Time to make some cash! She thought. She gently placed her bag on the ground beside her and took a deep breath. She did take pride in her career, but she still needed a little courage to work in front of a lot of 'dragons. She bobbed her head lightly, letting the brightly-coloured beads in her hair hit one another, creating an almost haunting sound. It was step one of her act; to hypnotize the crowd into coming to her. After a few head bobs, she made a rhythmic motion of her arms, another part of her hypnotizing act. A few Pendragons took a glance at her, making the mistake of falling for the spell. They drew closer, forming an audience around her. They watched her haunting motions, now dance-like. All it really needed was music to be a complete success, but that was not available at the time. To the audience that were held by the spell cast by Kanata, their eyes were fooled by the markings on her body, that seemed to move to and fro like the water nearby. It was fascinating. One by one, Pendragons began throwing coins to her feet in fooled praise. Her show was a success. OOC Again: Okay, so she did well, for the most part...
OOC: Maybe we should add time of day to the timestamp? It is late at night, correct? and the weather is...? Aaand sorry for my delay! ^^ Jureap was never tired at night, if she slept(if being the key word) it was during the day and often up high in some isolated tree or in one of her hideouts beneath the planks of the harbor deck. Night was the best time to make money whether it be, gambling, stealing, fighting, killing, whatever you name it. Night was when the world was alive and pulsating with danger. And part of her was also terribly afraid of the night, when one is blind it is always dark. But as soon as the sun sets the warm leaves your skin and a cold creeps up your bones. Jay stays awake to protect herself from those that would try to do her wrong and take advantage of her blindness. But fear wasnÂ’t her game she never recognizes fear, she never gives it that satisfaction. Fear was her constant enemy she was always battling it. Jay was most often found around the port or the black market, but that doesnÂ’t necessarily mean she is a familiar face to the inhabitants. Sure they recognize her but they know not to get used to her presents. She will show up abruptly for a season or two making friends among the night crowd, sometimes fishing or helping out the pubs and inns and then just as unexpectedly she disappears again, only to show up the next season. The population finds her to be something of an anomaly, and she has became a sort of a legend. Tales pass through the pubs of the violent and crazy adventures she must go on when not residing among them. A few reckon that she is apart of a pirate crew, others say sheÂ’s involved with the gangs of the black market, and one of two even suspect sheÂ’s an assassin. There are little bits and pieces of truth in all the stories, but mostly when asked, Jureap just nods and winks. Tonight however she was not in the playful spirit that hearing of her supposed wild adventures normally puts her in. She was in a dark state of mind tonight. She had left her favorite pub, (The Dirty Knocker) abruptly in the middle of a card game, upsetting several chairs as she went. She had come face to face with a rival of hers, during the game. He was a dark Arden with black and white molted fur, green eyes and a greasy mop of hair that fell in his eyes. His eyes, those piercing, evil, cheating, no-good, green eyes. Poisonous eyes. Horrible, wretched, green eyes! Jureap positively hated him, and not only was it just his slimly self, he had brought his whole gang with him. Not doubt they were looking for trouble, or herself. Now on the streets, wondering not too far from the sleepwalker and the hypnosist, walking along the ocean she could still see his eyes peering at her over his hand of cards. His hand had brushed hers whenever he drew a card from the deck, his leg always seemed to find hers and rest against it. His behavior was disgusting. Jay kicked at the water as she could see clearly not her own reflection, but his face staring back at her.
The world around him wasnÂ’t the world that Kazul was seeing. He could see people, but not as they were, to his left, walking towards him was a big burly man, but in his current state of mind he only saw an awkward teen. In the dirty windows he walked by, it looked like a group of aquabats were swimming by in a large fish tank. These things, all though interesting, were not important, not tonight. Turning the corner he had been heading towards the sound of a growing crowd caught the attention of his feet. He followed it and stood at the edge of the group standing around the hypnotist. He couldnÂ’t help but be drawn in, a part of him just wanted to stand their and watch her finish her show, in his dream state she looked like a conjurer creating entrancing images in the air around her. But something was telling him to keep moving forward. So reaching into his pocket he pulled out some non existing coins and made the motion of dropping them at her feet before slowly walking off. Not much further along he made another turn and found him self on one of the docks that touched the ocean. Looking to his right he could see the white sand that still glowed brightly in the dark, catching the light of the moon. It looked so inviting he was almost tempted to go burry his naked feet in the coast line. In front of him were the piers, where all sorts of boast were docked for the night, some still being loaded up for an upcoming voyage. To his right the docks continued to warp along the coast, leading off to pubs and restaurants. It was here that something caught his eye. There was a woman walking along the wooden planks and in his minds eye she glowed slightly, he didnÂ’t understand what it meant, thinking it was just another illusion of the dream, but he believed that she was part of the reason he was here tonight. He started to move towards her at his slow, languid pace, knowing she hadnÂ’t noticed him. She seemed to have eyes for someone else at the moment.
Kanata subliminally dismissed all those under her spell with a wave of her hand. They all began to drift away from her, going to do whatever they needed to do, most likely sleep in their beds. She knelt downward to pick up her rewards, she had earned enough already to get herself a nice hotel room and breakfast in the morning. She was happy. She counted through them happily, kneeling hunched over by the water. "Even enough to buy a good dress or two!" She mused to herself with a coy smile. Just for fun, she threw a coin into the water for no apparent reason other than to watch the moon ripple in the water. She placed the rest into her purse and stood uprighted to walk some more for the night. It didn't take her long to spy one of the arden, that dropped some coins for her, approaching a thill who was kicking at the water. The arden didn't really concern her that much, but the thill could help with a deal that she had once made to a friend, an agreement to help with a story by finding some interesting life stories. Nonchalantly, She also approached the one who kicked the water.
Jureap chided herself for sparing any thought, or moment of her precious time on that stupid Arden. She began to walk along the beach in the direction of the moonlight, dragging her paws in the sand as she did, leaving long slopping pawprints. But suddenly the shimmering water caught her “eyes" again. As she looked back down into the water she realized that the reflection wasn’t fading, and that it still wasn’t hers. And as the ripples began to smooth and the surface became still the green eyes reappeared this time closer, and menacing. She shook her head vigorously, certain to have imagined it. But warm breath and her shoulder told her otherwise. Jay froze, every hair on her body stood on end, the spikes along her back stiffened, and the poisonous barbs embedded in her tail secreted poison. She had been she utterly engulfed in herself that her Electrokinesis had not picked up on the electricity that his body was giving off. She had been caught completely off guard for the first time that she can remember. Jureap hears a click as a pistol is shoved into her back. And time stops… Her heartbeat rattles in her ears, and chest. Sweat drips across her forehead, her stomach churns. <span style='color:green'>“Ah, who’s got the best hand of cards now? Eh?" </span>He jabs the gun further into her spine, <span style='color:green'>“Come on! Admit it! You won’t ever be able to bet me, it just can’t be done."</span>
Kazul watched as the large arden made his way towards the thill on the beach, in his dream state the male had monster like properties. Large curly horns coming out of his skull, glowing red eyes, anything that made up that clichéd being that would be feared. His hesitated at the point where the dock ended and the sandy beach commenced, he was fighting with himself now. He wasn’t a fighting man, he didn’t slay monsters, normally in this kind of situation he’d run off to find the police. But he was in Terhesian Port tonight, any sort of law enforcement would be hard to find. So to the disappointed of his common sense Kazul felt his feet step off the docks and sink into the sand as he slowly made his way towards the pair near the water. He could hear the arden’s voice, but for some reason couldn’t understand what he was saying. The same way he couldn’t understand what he was doing. When he was close enough he reached out and tapped the monster on the shoulder. The criminal turned around faster then Kazul could have expecting, quickly turning his gun on the new comer and pulling the trigger out of surprise. The shot rang out, echoing across the harbor. The teacher let out a long nervous breath as he saw the bullet frozen in the air in front of him, it turned out the mixture he had been drinking was having some sort of effect on his powers, he was faster. He let go of the bullet and watched it fall into the sand, barely making a sound. He felt sweat running down his back, but still he couldn’t leave, he wasn’t sure if he would have the strength to stop a bullet again. “Oua ebi necymp e vyp nytseci." He said in a perfect Ramathian accent, but that wasn’t how he had meant to say it. The arden in front of him most likely didn’t understand a word he had just said, he had meant to say it in English. “ Oua ebi necymp e vyp nytseci." He tried again, but it still came out Ramathian.
Kanata jumped and yelped at the sound of the gunshot. She was petrified in fright, however the arden in his pajamas didn't seem so scared at all, he just stood there and spoke something in Ramathian, then repeated himself. "What's going on here?" She muttered to herself, seeing that the gun was pointed at the pajama-wearing arden, yet he did not fall limply to the ground, dead. She hid quickly behind a crate conveniently nearby, scared that another bullet would be fired and have a hole suddenly appear in her forehead. Just the thought of it frightened her. She peered nervously over her hidding spo to take a look at the 'dragons on the scene. An arden, a thill, and a freakshow.
