Year: 1 Month: Tessera Day: 11 Lucas looked around tiredly. He walked out of the ruins tail between his legs waiting for something to happen. He walked warily over away from the ruins to the hill. His black furr soaking up the heat. His blue eyes looked up. His dark blue hair blowing in the wind. A strong gust of wind knocked him off balance. He took a step back just in time for his paw to step on a sharp rock and retract. He started rolling down the hill, hitting the poor rocks on the way down. He hit the rubble and disappeared into a hole. "Ow..." Was all that was heard beyond the thud as the pendragon hit the bottom of the ruins.
Etincelle, a small blueish grey pendragon was walking by some ruins, bored. She was thinking about going out hunting, just for fun, when suddenly she heard a noise. She ran over to where she thought the noise came from and peared down a hole. There, she saw a black male pendragon. She couldn't see him properly but he was much larger than her. He cannot harm me, right? Should I help him? I guess I should ... Are you okay there, may I help? She move forward so as to see him better but slipped on a rock and fell. Luckily she opened her wings in time and landed smoothely next to him.
Lucas looked at her. "Yeah I am okay...I guess." He peered at her wings and remembered the last attack. He covered his head with his paws and hid from the other penpen.
I won't hurt you, I promise... What's you're name, I'm Etincelle ... She got closer and nudged him gently with her nose. come on, lets find a way out of here, you don't have wings and I don't think I'd be able to carry you back up... Can you walk, are you hurt?
Lucas narrowed his eyes at her as she came closer and nudged him. He opened his muzzel "Lucas" Â He stated plainly. Â He looked intently at her, memorizing her form. "Etincelle" He tested her name on his lips. Â His head twisted to his surrounding. Â He looked at his body covered with rocks and his legs twisted awkwardly. Â He again looked at her and blinked sometimes to show innocence of character. "Do I look okay to you?" He said quietly and monotonely. Â He twisted his head away from her and rested his head on his paws as he closed his eyes. Â He was happy here. Â No one could hurt him and he was hidden from the sun.
Does this mean you just want to stay here? she said, pushing some of the lighter rocks off his legs. why doesn't he want me to help him? he looks afraid, as though he's been attacked or something ...
Lucas gazed at her as she took the rocks off his legs. He peered up at the exit of the ruins. "Sun...pain..." Lucas lowered his head again and moved to stand. He legs, hips and shoulders cracked with the strain. He looked upon the wall to find something to concentrate on while he stood, to distract from the pain. He again looked at her again but this time he was standing. His black fur slightly ruffled and out of place. His blue eyes darted to her and a tear ran down his cheek. "Why help?" He said monotonely.
Why not? And anyway, I don' have much to do ... To tell you the truth, I'm bored. I usually don't have enough time to think about being bored but I haven't had a job in ages ... I have said too much. Do you wish go through that hole over there? You'll be away from the sun, in the shade ... I can stay with him a little, I don't have much to do. He's no threat at all because, even though he's much larger than, me he is wounded and can't fly like me. If he tries somethin' funny, I can just fly away ...
Lucas looked at her confused. He walked closer to her and pushed his snout against her urging her to lead the way. He limped beside her and tried to smile. It came across as a pitiful attempt. He shook his head and he glared at the wall as if it had done something wrong. Of course it had not. He walked up to it and scratched it. The instant movement cause his back legs to faulter and he landed on his butt. Lucas twisted his head and looked at her over his shoulder. "sorry..." He looked at the wall again.
Let me help you back up.. Should I, he might think i'm strange or something... Wel he probably already thinks so ...Come lean on my shoulder and i'll help go to the shade, only a few more steps... So tell me more about you, all i know so far is that you're name Is Lucas, is that right? I admit I haven't said much about myself either but... You don't want to know, do you?
Lucas turned and looked at the female. He stood on shaky leggs(OOC = sorry name of my spider that died...used to spelling it that way). He looked at the whole in the wall and then sat infront of her looking at her. "You..."
I must lie... will he know? So far no1 has been able to know whether I lie or not... Should I use my mental shield ability? That will keep him from knowing bt it will weaken me too ... He must not know, I must make sure he doesn't ... So what can I say I am? He already knows tha I have "jobs" so he might guess I am a spy ... I know, I'll say I'm an expert huntress... No... That won't work... He's looking at me, he knows I'm thinking zbout what to say, I'd better say something or it'll be suspicious... I am an expert huntress, I hunt for other pendragons who are incapable of hunting... What do you do? Uh... I was hesitant... hope he didn't notice ...
Lucas looked at her. He seconds before responding irked him but he decided not to muff her about it. He looked at the ground and growled. "Hunter...then Bouncer." He twisted his head around and thought. Now what the heck should I say?! I barely talk to others but this one wants to talk to me. Why? I can't let her get to know me. She will only hurt me too. Like the others. I am alone, miserably alone. I forever will remain that way. Til death.
Why does he look so depressed... He can't have gone through as much as me... Could he? No, of course notWhy am I here? I don't usually talk to people unless I have to spy on them... Besides I can't get too friendly or I might start liking him... No, I musn't! A good spy must be ready to betrayat any time... Should I leave? No, I can't just leave him here, can I? I don't have much to do anyway.. I might aswell stay a little besides I won't start to like him, I can't, not like last time... Why isn't he saying anything, he looks as though he wants to just stay there and die or something.. Why? i must find out ... - So, why are you here?
Lucas looked at the female then his look turned in to a glare. "I fell here." He stated simply.
Lucas looked at her with sad eyes. Must I tell her He whined to himself. Of course she is being nice to you. He answered himself. "Five years ago, I was in a duel. He was winged. He had dishonoured my family. I faught him and lost. I was buried under this rubble for five years. When I emerged my family had left me alone. All I had left was this scar on my back. That is why I am here." Lucas hissed out a breathe of air. That was the longest monologue he had ever done. He felt quite tired. He looked at her and longed her to ask no more questions as he wouldn't be able to answer them for his voice had left him. He started to walk away and then turned an inquisitive eye on her. As if to say "Your turn."
"As I have said before, i am an expert huntress. I came to Borejos Sudesha seeking a job, but, Â apparently, there aren't any hurt pendragons around here... Oh, sorry... None who have needed my hunting skills anyhow. You probably wonder why I came here, do you? Well I was out of a job and had nothing better to do. )(she said, trying to sound cold and distant). You do not want me to help you out of this vermin infested place (she said, a look of disgust settled on her face as she saw a rather big black creature scuttling rapidly on a nearby wall) Tell me, why do you not wish to take some revenge on this winged dragon you have spoken about? Do you not wish to finally put all of your problems behind you and start anew? Or do you just want to stay here and hide...
Lucas looked at her emotionlessly. He shook his head. "Not hiding, healing." He limped away towards her. "You help me, please." He tried to smile but it came out wrong. "No revenge. Forgive him." He nuzzeled her muzzel.
Should I ask him more about his family... No I must control my curiosity, he has suffered enough... Perhaps I should use some of my healing powers, they are weak but might help ... She placed her paw on his, smiled, then closed her eyes for a small amount of time. when she opened them again, her pupils had disappeared, the eyes were of a dark deep blue and the blue gem on her forehead glowed intensely emitting a blindling light around her. She looked rather scary. Suddenly some of Lucas's wounds started to glow. After a few second, she closed her eyes again and it was over. This, i hope, should have taken away some of the pain, though i doubt it has healed the deeper wounds. She smiled weakly a she suddenly felt tired, exhausted in fact and crumpled to the floor. Everything was but a blur as she fell into a deep and peaceful sleep.
