Dyo 11th 81379 Late yesterday evening, after spending a few warm days under the Dyo sun, the snow that had built up over the long Mia season gave way down the Western side of a few of the mountains on the east coast of Swaraj. With plenty of spring water sliding down the ridge old piles of mud came rolling down with it, causing a chain effect mudslide all the way down the mountain. The mudslide had not be forward and many scientist who are now in the area believe that one of the main reasons why this happened would be due to some small seismic activity they had picked up just before. They now believe a minor earthquake may have been the starting point to this natural disaster. Many rescuers worked late into the night to free the survivors stuck underneath the mud. So far, there have been five casualties accounted for and more then 15 injuries. Some of the workers say that it could have been much worst. By the time the wet soil reached the bottom of the mountains it was moving at a fairly high speed and caused severe damage to several homes in the area. There is however one ‘dragon who has found a positive side to this incident. Local archaeologist, Rick McKinian, was soon on the site after it was declared stable. He reported that he had discovered some ancient writings in a cave that had been uncovered by all the movement on the surface of the mountain. Now he is trying to pinpoint the time in history when these inscriptions had been written and by whom. At this point in time, he is unwilling to reveal anymore information. Even with the hillside declared stable, rescuers and researchers are asking that any tourist to the area keep a safe distance from the mountain while they search for the pendragons who have yet to be found. They also wish that nothing that may have been unearthed on the hillside be tampered with until a professional can see to it. Further information will be broadcast as more on the scene is uncovered. And on a final note scientist would also like to alert the population of the possibility of further earthquakes in the northern region. They have been picking up some recent shocks coming from a fault line, meaning there may be another tremor in the coming future.
