Out of Character

Directly after, http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=29&t=4757What is Gonna Happen This time?

BIC 10 minutes later As they stepped out of the elevator, on the 7th floor, Chz pulled her keys out of her pocket. She carefully avoided the bits of clothing and such on the floor. She reached her room 7925. She slid the key in the lock, opened the door, and waited for Nene to follow her inside.
Nene was pleasantly surprised when the elevator stopped on floor seven. "Oh hey, I live down the hall," he said brightly as he followed Chz through the sea of mess that was otherwise known as the Janardan dormitory. He stepped quickly into the thill's room after her and looked around curiously, not knowing what to expect.
Chz closed the door. She flipped a light on, and walked into the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator. She grabbed two beers and opened them. She carried them into the living room, and handed one to Nene. Here you go. She sat down in one of the chairs. You can sit down..
Nene happily took a seat and accepted a bottle of beer. "Thanks," he said with a smile as he sipped lightly at it, testing the flavor. Satisfied, he took a longer swig, and giggled mischievously. "I feel so, so... rebellious, when I drink. You know?" he asked Chz thoughtfully.
Chz sat back in her chair, and took a drink of her beer. She thought about it for a minute. I used to feel that way. I tend to have one beer a night, to help me relax after everything that has gone on in the day. Some nights I have two, those are usually the days that I got in trouble and kicked out of my classes.
Nene squinted curiously at Chz. There was something curious in what she said, although she glazed over it without lingering. She got kicked out of her classes? "Are you a troublemaker, then?" the arden asked with a silly smile.
Chz smiled. She took another drink of her beer. I am not really a trouble maker. I tend to get bored, and want to try new idea's. Mainly, when I do get kicked out of class, it is because I didn't control my temper, when someone pushed me to far. She watched Nene, to see how he would react to this.
This information surprised Nene greatly. He raised his eyebrows at the little fey thill as he regarded her in a new light - she hadn't previously seemed the type to have a hot temper. Although, if he thought on it, it made some sense. One had to be of a certain disposition to be a pyrokinetic: fiery, unpredictable, and vengeful. The arden just shrugged and took another swill of his drink. "If somebody's pushing you too far, in class, you deserve to walk out," he rationalized for her.
Chz finished her beer. She thought for a few minutes. I have tried that but, usually ended up in more trouble from the teacher. It is helping me stretch my limits, and become more patient. That is something I needed to work on anyhow. She adjusted herself, to a more comfortable position in her chair.
Due to Nene's body size (and his natural predisposition), the beer was having a bit of an effect on him. The fey wasn't sure if the room was actually tilting, but the shift in gravity caused him to flop over nonetheless. He rested his elbow on the arm of his chair and dropped his head into his hand, lazily. "You seem patient enough to me," he said, his speech still clean, but muffled.
Chz watched Nene flop onto the arm of the chair, and smiled. She stood up, walked over took his empty bottle and walked into the kitchen and tossed them into a garbage can. She returned to her chair, and sat back down. That is because you have only seen me when I am relaxed. When studying and practicing it is a different situation. Are you feeling alright? She asked.
The arden's eyes widened as he saw Chz walk away and dispose of the two empty bottles. "Did you just throw glass into the garbage?!" he cried incredulously, putting his hands on either side of his face and fretfully clenching fistfulls of hair. "You must recycle!" He stood up quickly and crossed the little dormitory, going into the kitchen to correct the atrocious mistake. When he bent over to retrieve the bottles from the trash can, however, he smacked his forehead on the counter. "Ourrgh.." he groaned as he covered his face with his hands and straightened his back.
Chz sighed and shook her head. She walked into the kitchen opened the freezer, and pulled out a bag of ice. She handed it to Nene, and said, Nene, put this on your head. If you look right above the garbage can, there is a sign that says glass... She pointed to the sign, and then gently took him by the arm, and guided him back to his chair.
Nene allowed himself to be walked back to his chair, and upon reaching it he plunked down into the plush seat without a word. The ice pack he held to his forehead was soothing, but an intense ache was spreading throughout the front of his skull. "Thank you," he said in a hushed tone of voice that suggested he realized he had embarrassed himself. "See? You're so nice. I can't imagine you having a temper..."
Chz walked into the bathroom, and looked in her medicine cabinet. She sighed, when she realized that she didn't have anything to help a headache. She returned to the other room and stood next to the chair Nene was sitting in. I am sorry that I can't give you anything to help your headache. It is ok Nene, I have done it myself several times. She said quietly.
Nene shrugged. He didn't really need aspirin, and pills rarely went down well in the fey's stomach anyway. Even taking the most mild of supplements, vitamin C, would have him kneeling in front of a toilet bowl in no time. "It's okay." He gave her an odd look, his silver eyes catching the light and flashing luminously. "You've hit your head on the counter?" he asked incredulously. "Maybe you should have it, ah, taken outside and shot. Or at least moved somewhere."
Chz laughed. I haven't hit my head in ages. Only when, I first moved in and wasn't quite used to it, yet. She walked and sat back down in the chair across from his. She watched Nene, for a moment. Is your head feeling better?
Nene nodded, then immediately regretted it. The sudden movement made him dizzy, his head fogging up with blue and black cottony static that crowded his vision. "Ourgh," he said quietly, then, "yeah, no worries, I feel fine." Moving his head more slowly now, he cast his gaze around the thill's dormitory. "So, what is there to do around here, besides drink?" he asked, with a quiet giggle.
Chz smiled. She thought for a minute. Not a whole lot really. I tend to read, when I am not studying and practicing. So, uhh.
"Oh, hmm," he said thoughtfully, tilting his head. "What kinds of things do you like to read?" he asked. He himself was quite partial to fantasy and adventure novels, but he knew certain thills like to read magazines, which he could never understand.
