Where: The Panic Room, on Open Mic Night.))

No one could really blame the young 'Dragon for being rather happy to get out of the school and into a place where you couldn't get a detention for throwing things at your teachers; after all, it had been a long and rather tiring day at Jardan, and Lysane was ready to let everything out in the form of open mic night. As usual, The Panic Room was packed. As the slender pendragon manouvered his way past dancers and various couples enjoying other sorts of entertainment, he couldn't help but let a smile pull onto his face. It seemed to Lysane that this night was about to get a whole lot better than it had been so far, what with his teachers and their lectures, usually followed by a tedious detention or even more babbling one about showing respect for his elders. The teen had done what he did best to brighten an otherwise gloomy day- put on the eyeliner and the skinny-fit jeans and headed off and out.

Now, with his thick, feathery black hair swaying slightly as Lysane fought his way to the side of the stage, it was clear that the previous mood of anger and fustration had disappeared from his person. As the current singer finished her solo, Lys was ushered onto the stage. He muttered something to the house band, and the 'dragons nodded. There was a quick count-in from the drummer and then Lysane began to sing into the microphone, holding it tight like some kind of security blanket.

"I canÂ’t believe the news today...
Oh, I canÂ’t close my eyes and make it go away..."

He always sang better after an argument, even if Lysane didn't realise it. Dressed in his white leather pointy boots, blue band t-shirt, slightly old-looking short black leather jacket and a pair of black and yellow striped, fingerless gloves, Lys definately stood out in the crowd. His hair flopped down into his shocking green eyes, and the passion in his voice became even more clear as he continued to sing.

"How long...How long must we sing this song?"

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>As the singing of the teenage 'dragon filled the crowded, loud and extremely warm area of the club, a pair of tall ears, perhaps an inch or two in height, twitched, their shape peculiar due to the fact that they bore resemblance to the dorsal fin of an aquatic animal such as a shark or dolphin. Tipped with black diamonds, and lined with dark grey, they were an odd contrast to the main colour of the pelt of the lupine arden, which was an odd and vibrant green, almost like that of a high lighter. Swirls of ebonite decorated his body, save for the tail, where they were covered in small zig-zags, and the feet, which were rings rather than swirls.

Orange and pink hair fell into brilliantly blue eyes as the 'dragon raised his head, looking past the crowd of people towards the stage, trying to identify who the owner of the voice was, swearing he had heard it before. Perhaps, if he had not been miserable and lonely, nor had he been wallowing in his self-pity, he might have recognized the owner of the voice straight away. As it was, he did not, and thus Takonas was finding himself trying to see past crowds of dancing people. Picking himself up, the lean and small 'dragon made his way through the crowd, his large trousers having been replaced by fitting ones to prevent people (and himself) from tripping on them, and his torso naked, as were his feet.

Pushing past other 'dragons of his age, wishing that he was not alone and with someone that would defend him, or wishing that he was not such of a pushover, the arden made his way towards the stage as the singing progressed. Catching a sight of the unique pendragon on the stage, Takonas went wide-eyed and was able to utter a single word.

    <span style='color:#66FF33'>"Lysane?"</span></span>

  3. "How long? How long...
'Cos tonight...we can be as one, tonight..."

The buzz from being up there- being the center of a attention always seemed to allow Lysane to achieve a natural high. He relaxed more, falling into his performance, eyes darting around the packed club, zooming in on those watching him whilst jumping up and down to the beat of the music. He caught a glimpse of someone that for a moment, Lys thought he recognised, but then he waved the thought away, concentrating on his next line.

    "Broken bottles under childrenÂ’s feet...
Bodies strewn across the dead end street...
But I wonÂ’t heed the battle call...
    It puts my back up...
Puts my back up against the wall...

He took a deep breath, a slight frown arching upon his 'brow, eyes still searching frantically as the thought of a familiar face echoed in his mind.

    "Sunday, bloody sunday...
    Sunday, bloody sunday...
    Sunday, bloody sunday...."

For a moment, Lysane did wonder what the word Sunday meant. It was of course, from that ancient Earth world, but he made a note to find out if at all possible, which was an odd thing to do during the middle of a song, but the shear randomness of Lys had a habit of popping up at awkward times. Like how he suddenly, out of shear luck, focused in on a figure at the front of his adoring crowd, whom he instantly recognised and had to resist shouting "What are you doing here?!" to. Instead, he looked down at his roommate for a minute and then snapped his head back up, launching into the rest of the song.

    And the battleÂ’s just begun...
ThereÂ’s many lost, but tell me who has won...
The trench is dug within our hearts...
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart...

An erruption of applause and cheering made Lysane grin and blow mock-kisses to the 'Dragons in the crowd. He waved to them and then added down the microphone

    <span style='color:0099CC'>"Thank you...I'm here all week."</span>

When the cheering died down and another performer was ready to start, Lys deserted the stage and managed to weave his way through the clubbers that had now began to sway and dance to the music again.

<span style='color:0099CC'>"Fancy seeing you here."</span> he muttered to Konas with a smile, posistioning himself next to the 'dragon, and moving with the music to stop himself being knocked over by the dancers.

((ooc: Mine's worse. O__o;; And I got lazy. Skipped a lot of the song.))

<table class='ooc'><tr><td>*mutters something about not replying straight away*</td></tr></table>

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Turning crystal blue eyes to the other, the 'dragon shook his head and moved quickly, narrowly avoiding a collision with the floor due to those moving past him. Recovering from his shock and confusion, Konas turned his attention to Lys and decided to give at least some explanation as to why he was hear... or find out why Lys was there, at any rate.

<span style='color:#66FF33'>"There's more to me than meets the eye,"</span> Replied Takonas with a scowl and a mutter, before changing his face into a questioning look. <span style='color:#66FF33'>"The question is, what are you doing here?"</span></span>

  5. <span style='color:0099CC'>"Now, that's a silly question."</span> Lysane tutted, but he was still smiling. <span style='color:0099CC'>"Singing, silly. You just saw me."</span> he gestured towards the stage, and shook his head, still a little puzzled at Konas' presence. He didn't seem like the type for clubs. But then again...looks could be deceiving sometimes, right? As Lysane mused upon this, his thirst caught up with him. <span style='color:0099CC'>"Want a none-alcoholic drink?"</span> he asked Konas, gestured towards the bar area, still moving about as to not get crushed or knocked over.

  6. Muttering to himself, the vibrant green 'dragon followed the other, not really paying much attention to his surroundings, which was bound to case them trouble soon enough. Drawing out of his memories, Takonas managed to remain focused on the world around him long enough to hear Lysane question about refreshments.

<span style='color:#66FF33'>"I think, at a time like this, alcoholic ones would be better,"</span> Answered Konas, sounding not all together like himself. Still not paying attention to his surroundings, the large-footed 'dragon found himself tripping over a passing stranger, causing him to collide roughly with Lysane's back.

  7. <span style='color:0099CC'>"And such is the wonder of vodka."</span> Lysane replied, chuckling to himself. <span style='color:0099CC'>"Gimme a minute."</span> And with no more than these words, he disappeared off into the surge of strangers, weaving his way around, straight past the bar and off into a side room. He returned a moment later, carrying two black bottles labled "Sparkling Water". Of course, the contents were far less innocent. Lysane caught sight of his friend and grinned, holding up the bottles. He trekked down and finally reached Konas, handing him one of the cold drinks. <span style='color:0099CC'>"I'll go with the assumption you've guessed that ain't no sparkling water."</span> he smiled, and flipped the bottle cap from a bottle opener neatly attached to his belt. He took a gulp and then yanked his belt up, offering the keychain tool for Konas to use.

  8. Seemingly not as disturbed or embarrased about being near Lysane's hip, or at least not as how he would have been, Takonas took the offered tool without a second glance, removing the lid from the drink. Taking a drink from it, the vibrant green 'dragon suddenly sighed and put his head in his hands. <span style='color:#99FF66'>"Sorry about ruining your night,"</span> Apologized the 'dragon, despite the fact he hadn't even done anything. Had Lysane been able to see the arden's eyes properly, he would have seen they were ringed a darker colour than the normal green - as if Takonas had been crying. Indeed, he didn't seem to be entirely himself.
