I hope that everyone has had some good (and at least somewhat relaxing) holidays. What did you all end up doing? It feels weird that it's 2013 already. I never thought that I'd make it this far. :P
I watched 3 seasons of Rizzoli and Isles, as hiding in my parents basement and watching tv over the holidays is a tradition of mine xD But more importantly I did a bunch of baking and hung out with all the people I wanted to see while in town! 2013 is kind of looking like a weird fantasy year that I never wanted to get to, I don't want to graduate and enter the real world of full time employment and uncertain futures!
Ooh... that really makes me want to bake. I haven't done that in quite some time. At my LAN party we made some incredibly amazing chili with chicken and beef and all sorts of yummy things in it. I still have leftovers. Om nom nom. Graduation is a scary place to be...
Yessss, bake all the things. The best part is that you can pretty much live off a batch of cookies for a few days! I don't think I've made a chili yet, should add it to my list :3 I think the scariest part is not knowing where I'll be living in 5 months...
I don't even know where I'll be in 5 months. :P I'm sure you'll find something somewhere awesome. That settles it, I'm making cookies!
I was in Key West Florida for new years. Snorkeling, swimming, touristing, and being a delicacy for insect life. Awesome stuff. I also graduate this year. I feel your pain.
I hung around at home for most of my holidays, a lot of my friends had come back for their winter break so things have been quite lively in our little town. 2013 is going to be a pretty big year for me, if I manage to clear my last couple of papers this semester I'll be (finally!) moving out of home and to the big city. Real Life looks daunting but also exciting, can't wait!
Pretty much had a quiet break over Christmas. I got to have a picnic on Christmas day (would've been outdoors if it wasn't raining!), had a very informal Christmas eve dinner (sausage rolls and Pepsi while chatting to my significant other on Skype), got to celebrate the end of 2012 twice, and of course made plenty of jokes at the expense of what someone brilliantly dubbed "the Mayan Y2K Bug". I've never actually been to university, but I've been to a bunch of courses at a community college and I recently finished transitional stuff to prepare me for the workplace. So I'm in the "searching for a job" part of life right now... and that means having to learn new skills. Turns out getting a job may require you to learn how to drive! Honestly, I find driving a rather frightening thing (let's face it, they are far from the safest things on the planet...), but I can easily see the benefits of it. So yeah, I sort-of already know the pain you would-be graduates are about to go through. My sympathies.
