Timestamp: Dyo, 81384 Who: Ujeu Uritt Wearing: Green muscle shirt and shorts made from wheat-like material Comments: All Welcome! The small thill wandered the Vivuli jungle cautiously, clutching her bow in one hand and a fistful of small, sharp arrows in the other. She perched on a tree limb high above the ground, watching the rustling of the bushes below through narrowed eyes. The Macy had been tracking her for the passed half-hour, and while she understood and respected that it was endangered and probably hungry, she was not food. It was going to get an arrow through the eye if it didn't back off. She hadn't come this far just to die at the paws of an animal that wasn't even considered large by the Talls. It wasn't dignified. Twitching her tail in irritation, she turned and continued her journey, grumbling under her breath when the rustling followed her. It got old quickly, and she turned again, nocking an arrow and releasing it into the bush that had moved last. A yelp echoed up to her and the Macy shot out of the undergrowth, shaking the arrow out of its paw before racing off. Ujeu spread her wings, gliding down to pick up her weapon. Frowning down at it, she studied the perfect shaft, glaring. "How could I miss? It isn't possible." It wasn't supposed to be, now that she was on her pilgrimage. Another slip-up like that and she could be killed. Dropping the pile of arrows at her feet, she turned her hard gaze to the bow, running her hands over the weapon she'd made only a few weeks ago in search of flaws.
Who: Gunner. Wearing: Semi-tight black t-shirt, two chain necklaces, loose-fitting dark bluejeans with rips in the knees. [blockquote]It had been a while since he'd escaped his weredragon captors and it had taken what felt like years to get used to the changes; he'd began to feel more like himself the more time passed, the more he was able to elude those ardens who had changed his life forever. He'd kill them if he ever saw them again, but then again he didn't want to bother wasting time doing so. What was done was done... there was no changing that. The whole drama going on in the Ramathian world right now was probably helping him keep out of trouble, what with the Fronima being totally out of whack... which he'd discovered when he'd nearly set himself on fire once and accidentally burned down a building. It had stopped him from idly playing with his pyrokensis, but left him terribly bored. Which might explain what he was doing wandering around in the jungle. It took a lot for him not to mess around with making some fire since that's usually what he did when he was wandering around. Suddenly something came running through the bushes straight at him, startling him, and he kicked it hard when it got close enough. Sending it right back through the bushes it came in; he heard a thud as it hit something. Curious, he stepped forward and looked passed the bushes, not looking down to see if it was there or to see if anyone else was there. He couldn't have punted it that far.[/blockquote]
Ujeu nearly dropped her bow when the Macy yowled and came flying back toward her, swinging the wood out at the last minute and batting at the feline, snapping the weapon in half as it kept coming and slammed into her. She fell with a thud, her hand immediately snapping out to grab one of her arrows. The Macy hadn't, apparently, come back for a fight; it leapt up with a traumatized look on its face and raced off in a completely new direction, running as fast as it could and limping. She leapt to her feet, opening her mouth to shout after it, only to feel the end of her tail touching something strange. She reached back, yanking it out from under someone's foot right before the painful event could happen, and leapt back a few steps, bristling. "Hey, deums! Watch where you walk!" She shouted, tilting her head back as far as it would go, catching sight of a chest. Ujeu leapt back a couple steps, still glaring defiantly up at the tall person. Who seemed taller than usual, but what did she know? She couldn't really tell the difference, they were all the same to her. Abnormally tall. She still couldn't quite see his face, only the bottom of his chin, and she scowled at it, turning to gather up her arrows and broken bow. "Punm, now I'll have to make a new bow! Thanks a lot, deums!" She growled. Ujeu had no doubt it was his fault the Macy had come flying back; animals had a habit of being afraid of Tall People.
[blockquote]Before he knew it he was getting yelled at by thin air... until he looked down at the word "deums". Aww, look at that. A feisty little critter. Though he probably would've said the same thing had someone stepped on his tail... or he probably just would've burned them with it instead of wasting words on them. "Fhus?" Gunner growled down at her irritably, turning his large ears back as he leaned down to glare. Good grief she was tiny. Creatures like this shouldn't even exist... or, at least, the small ones shouldn't be intelligent enough to speak. "Y'best watch yerself," he warned her with a low growl. Maybe that thump he heard was the Macy hitting this girl... from the looks of it she deserved it. Snobby little brat. "Y'shouldn't speak to people like that, y'never know when they're gonna kick yer ass for it." Not that he ever would. It'd be like beating up a little baby. There'd be no fun in it... besides he did have his morals. She might be irritating, but that was it. No need to get violent. He reached a hand up to run through his messy blonde hair.[/blockquote]
Ujeu stuck her tongue out at the tall male, gathering her belongings close to her chest. "I said, deaf nyjym, that you should watch where you're walking." She turned to glare, blinking in surprise when instead she found him leaning down to glare at her. She scowled at him, bristling again to make herself look bigger--a pathetic attempt, even by her standards. Ujeu's glare softened into a blank stare as he issued his threat, tilting her head. "You must be one of the ones who fried their brain." She shook her head somewhat sadly, a 'tsk' sound making its way from her throat. She felt bad for the Tall People, relying on machines to do their work for them. Especially those that tried to prove they could do things for themselves and ended up being humiliated. She leaned around him, her ears swiveling for the supposedly tell-tale whirl of machina as she searched for the android that was supposed to watch over each Tall Person when they went out, taking care of animals like Macies for them. "Where's your caretaker? Are you supposed to be wandering around out here without it?" Really, it was like a disobedient child, running away from their machine to face the world on their own. As much as the strange things scared her, she would have to return the arden to the device so she could be on her way.
[blockquote]Normally he wouldn't be so short tempered, but this little bug was pissing him off. Maybe it was the fact that he was a weredragon now... it changed him in more than one way, but he hadn't been around others enough to notice the changes in his personality. But this chick certainly had it coming... did he feel right about kicking her ass? Hell yes. Would he kick her ass? Hell yes. Once he figured out what the fuck she was even talking about. Caretaker? Really? "What th'fuck are you talking about, you little rat? he snarled, bearing extremely large fangs at her threateningly. And with every intention of using them if she didn't choose her next words. Moving quickly he reached down and grabbed her arm and hoisted her up off her feet, most likely causing her to drop everything she held in her arms. "I don't have any caretakers, reskh." He gripped to her arm tightly, getting uncomfortably close to her face and snappped his jaws near her neck; he wasn't really thinking much, but he realized he had this odd urge to rip her apart... but he wouldn't. He wasn't a murderer, he was just going to scare some sense into this little girl.[/blockquote]
Ujeu felt a small sliver of fear as she was suddenly grabbed, dropping her armful in surprise. Baring her own fangs in a poor attempt at scaring him off, she pressed her ears back and struggled in his hands, reaching for one of the arrows she'd dropped. He was holding it too close to the ground, and she was too high up to swipe one. "What do you mean, you don't have any caretakers? What about the jyrys? Don't you all have a jyrys to look after you?" She snarled back, more confused than annoyed now. Was he crazy? Did he not know the way the world worked anymore, was that why he was out here on his own? Stopping her struggles, she glared at him, flicking her ear in agitation. "Look, tsogep, I don't know how you slipped your keepers but you're obviously crazy-" She managed before he snapped near her neck, startling her. She started struggling again immediately, kicking at him and stretching to grab her arrows once more. "Thes! Get away from me! What the hell do you think you're doing?" He'd gone feral! He was going to try to kill her! Struggling harder, she bared her teeth, snarling at him furiously.
[blockquote]When she started struggling it only pissed him off more and he gripped her arm harder but managed to keep himself from digging his abnormally long claws into her flesh. If he wanted to he could probably snap her like a twig... but with his luck someone would catch him murdering her stupid ass. "I look after me, reskh. Fuckin' get it straight before I knock some sense into yer dumbass brain..." he growled more lowly, warning her to watch herself. She was already in deep shit, she didn't need to make it worse. He only got angrier when she freaked out and kicked him in the chest; he grabbed both her arms and swung her around and smacked her against the nearest tree. Not as hard as he could've but he might've unintentionally done a bit more damage than he'd wanted to. "Fhy sha hall py iyo shemc iyo uja?" he roared before throwing her down onto the ground and quickly standing over her, stepping on her with a large clawed foot to keep her in place. "I have no keepers!" Gunner snapped loudly, pressing down on the small girl, "And if you don't shut up someone's gonna have to take care of you!"[/blockquote]
Ujeu couldn't help it; she screamed as she was slammed into the tree, quickly biting her tongue and swallowing the sound as she felt her ribs crack and her head bounced off the bark."Damn it all." She groaned, ceasing her struggles as she opened her eyes and watched the world tilt. "Fhus sha hall?" She complained under her breath, closing her eyes as she was thrown somewhere else. She couldn't even try to get away as she hit the ground, wheezing as a heavy foot was placed on her chest. She thumped her head on the ground, practically ignoring the male as she blinked to get her bearings and hoped he didn't step down on her any harder--he might very well break her already fractured ribs. Now she'd have to take it easy for a few days. "Punm es ull..." She murmured again, closing her eyes and forcing a deep breath into her lungs, pushing at his foot. "Alright, alright! How the hell am I supposed to know, anyway?" She half-snapped at him, squirming under his weight--geez, what did these people eat? Fey? She shuddered at the thought and gave him a baleful look, shoving at his foot and shaking her head. "How some of the Tribe choose to live with you people I'll never know. Will you let me up? I think you broke something." There was grudging admiration in her voice at the last note, and she moved her hand to push carefully at her somewhat-exposed side. She wished she could throw someone into something one time and hurt them that badly, but she was so damn small, even to her own people...with a sigh, she squirmed slightly, hoping he'd lift the appendage and calm down a little--maybe she'd be able to get into a tree before he went crazy again.
[blockquote]Oh, good lord. He only got angrier when she spoke more and asked him how she was supposed to know that. "Iyo dyp punmap epeys," he growled irritably, shaking his head and allowing his mess of blonde hair to get into his scruffy face."Maybe you shouldn't fuckin' assume, jus. Not everyone has a god damned caretaker..." He did seem to calm down a bit when she relented, and after he realized he had harmed her more than he intended... but she damn well deserved it for being such an idiot. Big attitudes seemed to come in small packages... as well as viscous ones coming in giant packages. "I don't live in a tribe, either." God damnit. "I live on my own, I take care of myself." Gunner spoke more quietly now, though his voice and tone were still as rough as always, but he trailed off somewhat and lifted his foot from her after feeling her struggling underneath his weight. He might as well get off before he accidentally killed her. He stood close enough to keep her from jumping up and running off though; he'd just get more pissed if she decided to try and get out of reach. "What makes you think everyone has a robot, anyways? Yer view of the world is pretty fucked up, jus."[/blockquote]
Ujeu scowled as he took to calling her rat, sitting up slowly as he removed his foot and wincing slightly as the ache settled over her whole body. No jumping into the trees, then. It looked like he wouldn't let her, anway, she realized grimly as she eyed his stance and slowly dragged herself to her feet. "Well, excuse me for believing what I've been told my whole life." She rolled her eyes, pressing her hand to her ribs again and carefully feeling for anything that was in the wrong place. It seemed she was alright; just a little bruised. And cracked; she couldn't forget that, of course. She glanced up at him with a soft glare, frowning slightly. "Not your tribe, sull yma, my tribe. I'm on a pilgrimage." She figured insulting him again was probably not a good idea at the moment; she was no longer at her best, she wouldn't be able to get out of the way if he decided to make a grab for her again. Not that she could do that at her best, apparently...scowling slightly at her previous failure, she decided to ignore it and turned her thoughts to his last comment, frowning slightly. "Everyone knows the Tall People have robots. They rely on machina for everything, it's why my tribe has stuck with natural survival for so long. Only the crazy ones choose to stay outside the tribe with the machines." Ujeu shuddered a little at the thought, glad it didn't seem this tall one had any machina on him. She wasn't ready to see the strange things, even if she was old enough to face the Tall People.
OOC: I misread what she said before, MY BAD. [blockquote]He was half tempted to ask if she was raised by a bunch of cavemen idiots... but from the looks and sounds of it, she probably was. But then again a bunch of dragons raised outside the society of machina didn't sound like a bad place. The only piece of technology he had on him was his Khorta card, and that he didn't use very much already. He'd sort of stayed out of mainstream society for several months, so if people were wandering around with robots it was news to him... he honestly never paid that much attention in the first place. and downtown Bhim wasn't exactly the best place to go searching for people with robots. Gunner decided just to not comment on how dumb her special tribe must be simply because she didn't make any more insults toward him. Oh, he was polite. So he'd misunderstood her. That tended to happen when you were raging. He brushed it off easily enough, not acting like he'd totally got what she said wrong and made a fool out of himself. "No. Not everyone depends on robots," the tall brute corrected her rather roughly, keeping his tri-colored gaze centered on her, "I dunno what yer people have against robots... were they attacked by them 'er somethin'?" He was finally getting his composure back as he stood back and crossed his arms questioningly at her, tilting a brow behind his messy wavy bangs.[/blockquote]
Ujeu blinked in surprise as he spoke, tilting her head thoughtfully. No one had ever questioned the way the tribe worked; it was just...done. Unless the "crazy" ones had, and learned that living outside wasn't so bad. She'd always assumed they were just lazy and liked having someone take care of them, but if what this arden said was true...Ujeu let her legs collapse beneath her, landing on the ground with a thump as she stared up at him in shock. "No one...ever speaks of an attack..." She said uncertainly, feeling as if the ground had been pulled out from under her. It had, in a way; why did they hate machina? They didn't reject those who chose to stay in that world, so there must not have been anything major... "It makes you weak, I suppose. Machina." She said finally, shuddering at the word and looking up at him uncertainly. "You stop doing things for yourself, let a machine do it for you, and the next thing you know you've got a robot to take care of everything. I won't be weak." Ujeu scowled a little as she reminded herself she'd already proven to be weak, but that was easily fixed once she healed. She would just have to train more...and stay off the ground. That was the most important thing.
God, she was from one of those places with paranoid people who sold their ideas but never had the damn proof to show anyone... but then again, apparently nobody ever asked either. He wasn't going to deny that a lot of people were lazy, but she was definitely wrong about everyone having machina caretakers. "You're an idiot. Maybe when you're older you'll realize you can't believe everything you hear." And, obviously, he couldn't actually tell what age she was. She was so tiny, but he knew she had to be at least.... fifteen or something. But what did he care? She could be twenty and still be this stupid. He shook his head, lifting a hand to push blonde bangs behind a large ear before looking down incredulously at the tiny Feydragon. Gunner was half tempted to tell her she'd already failed at not being weak, but she probably already realized that... no need to beat a dead horse. "You do realize that not everyone does that, right?" A lot of people seem to depend on magic, but that wasn't much the case recently because of the fluctuating fronima and the dangers of it. "You need to get out into the real world, jus. Being so sheltered has made you a complete idiot." He slightly spat, shaking his head and causing his hair to fall back into his face.
OOC: I'll join, sounds fun :D! Character: Zara'lanah Valeneha clothing: Sleeveless t-shirt stopping at the stomache(light green) and khaki(I think thats how you spell it...) leggings IC: Zara'lanah looked about as she heard shouts from a distance away, curious, she started to run toward the shouting. As Lanah approched the two she noticed a shrub small enough for her to hide in while she watched. Best to stay hidden... Lanah thought as she creeped to the shrub. She peered at the feydragon and the pendragon arguing over something. Maybe I should stop the arguing... Lanah thought, nervously. She stepped out from the cover of the shrub and mumbled, "Stop fighting! 'dragon, can't you see you hurt her? Just stop your fighting and be on your way! ". She sprang into the air and used her wings to stay in the air, ready to fly somewhere else if anyone tried to strike at her. Punm, I always have to get into things... She moaned to herself.
Ujeu scowled, standing up again to glare at him. "That's what I'm doing! What do you think a pilgrimage is for? I have to re-learn everything away from the tribe." She cradled her ribcage, eyeing him warily and stepping back a little. That was what the pilgrimage was for, but she didn't know what to do to re-learn what she already knew. Or...what she thought she knew. As he continued, she realized she really was a bit lost when it came to pendragon society. Maybe...if she stopped acting like a brat...he would be willing to help her. Opening her maw to ask as politely as she could bring herself to, she was startled when someone else jumped out of the bushes, yelling at the male. Ujeu did the first thing that came to mind, her wings snapping open as she leapt up to a tree branch over the arden's head. She perched on it, swaying a little as her ribs throbbed and grabbing hold of the trunk with one hand, curling the other around her stomach. "Ooh, that hurt." She wheezed, blinking before turning her attention to the two Tall People below her. "Wait a minute, I don't even know who you are! How'm I going to share my experience when I get back if you leave?!"
