  1. <font color='#728FCE'><font color='#377df5'>Day: 12
    Month: Mia
    Year: 2

Nolwenn was scratching a pendragon's face in the dirt.  Rather ressembling, she chuckled to herself as she viewed her masterpiece. It looked exactly like her brother, Nau, with its exaggerated frown and scowl. She laughed again at her creation and suddenly quickly erased it with a her paw, thus destroying almost an hour of meticulous(sp?) work, as she heard foot steps coming towards her.
And may i know what you have been doing here all morning young niotie? You know today is an important day ... You knew we needed your help.
    Growled her older sister, Arnya.
Getting away from you, that's what I was doing ... Mumbled Nolwenn, as she followed her tyrant of sister back to there cave.
Nolwenn was but 900 and knew she couldn't do anyhting against her siblings or cousins, her being the youngest by more than 300 years.
Family gathering.. How intersting.. Not ! Her family held a gathering every four moons or so and was always either ostracised and ignored or pestered with annoying questions or remarks such as "How big you are getting", this was one of the worst as she was very very small for her age, or "You look so much like your mother ..." which was true enough. Just like her mother she had a dark red, almost purple, coat with white paws, chest and a white patch around her right eye. However, she had her father's deep green eyes and light blue wings.
I hate you Arnya.. Why do i have to go?
Gatherings are always SO boring ... she thought aloud.
Stop fretting ... Gatherings are important, it is the only moment when you see your old uncle and aunt, your lovely cousins ...
Nolwenn wasn't listening. She was devising a plan to get out of here without sister's knowledge. That's it ! At the next turing I'll ...
She ran off in the opposite direction, reaching the cave exit, where sh took off and son was out of her sister's sight.

Not again ... sighed Arnya as she made back to the family abode.

Nolwenn smiled as she soared through the skies. She tried loops, then flew backwards and upside down. But, soon, as she always did when she ever did anything, she got bored and flew down to a tree and observed the surrounding landscape, hoping that something would catch her attention. To the left was the tall moutain, containing hundreds of passages and dozens of caves. to her right were even more moutnains and, straight ahead, was the Lake. She noticed something stirring the waters a little far off the shore. She decided to investigate, hoping to find another pendragon to play with.</font></font>

Indeed the stirring in the lake was a pendragon: Anezka practicing her underwater swimming capabilities. She'd actually been quite oblivious to the arrival of another, so when she surfaces for air, she blinks. Yes, a blink is as much as she is startled. No hyperactive stunts, just a confused blink from her mismatched green and blue eyes. Oh, and an ear flick. But that's more to get rid of water dripping off her.

{Hello!} she begins cheerily, mentally, smiling welcomingly at this fellow pendragon as if she'd known her for eons. Very accepting, this one!

    She continues the conversation as she attempts to swim backward. {My name's Anezka, what's yours?}

Unfortunately, her leathered wings provide a kind of water resistance, and swimming backward soon involves drowning as she gets tangled all by herself in her own wings and limbs. She comes up coughing, and after a moment, giggles. Crazy girl. {I think I'll use my wings next time..} a pause, {Wanna come in? The water's not too bad. Chilly, I guess, but not bad.} she grins. It was winter. Of course the water was "chilly". But, apparently her thick fur was insulation enough for her to enjoy swimming at this time of the year.</font>

  3. <font color='#728FCE'>OOC: Woohoo someone joined. Btw, is it me or are there ads [IMG] ...
    BIC:
    - Heya A-nez-ka (she tried pronouncing it properly), I'm Nolwenn... Swimming? Sounds fun enough ... Why not?

She rose high above the other pendragon, did a loop and dove straight into the lake drenching her velvety coat. At first, she didn't feel cold, but, soon as her sense began to understand where they were, she shivered and shaked.
    - Brrrr ! Tis cold ! How do you stand it?
She quickly jumped out of the lake, shook most of the water off and used a weak warming spell to take the cold away.</font>

  4. <font color='698AAB'>\\ OOC: I don't see ads.. but then.. LOL, i've got a pop-up blocker, so I'm usually okay. ( PanicWare )  [IMG]

    \\ BIC

    Anezka giggles as Nolwenn leaps from the lake, and decides to follow her out. {I dunno.. I don't really mind the cold!}

While speaking, the mouse-brown colored pendragon dog-paddles over to the shallow bank and pulls herself up onto dry land. She starts to shake the excess water from her fur, but pauses. Having seen Nolwenn shivering from the cold, she figured she shouldn't get the freezing water all over her. She takes a couple steps backward, uses her large leathered wings as a kind of shield and rapidly shakes herself dry.

She tilts her head at the older niotie, having seen her go from shivering and shaking, to perfectly normal, and switches to vocal communication, "How'd you do that?" Anezka never had been a big magic user, so she hadn't a clue how to perform it!</font>

  5. <font color='#728FCE'>- This ...?

She sat down and tried to look serious and intelligent.
    - It is not tooo hard... It's a magic spell. You see,  my older sister Arnya thought me. All you have to do is think these words.
    She said something illegible.
    - Beware though, if you don't say it right, h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e things could happen.
She stressed the word 'horrible' as her sistter always did so as to emphasize on it's importance.
    - So, (she repeated), You have to say Ar - Ga- Ni - aaaaa.
Seeing that Anezka was still a bit she added:
    - Try it? Argania, it's not that hard... Just say that, don't forget to make a long "aaaa" at the end and think about bieing dry. Should work...</font>

  6. <font color='698AAB'>Anezka nods and, too, sits down.

She opens her mouth to repeat the unintelligable thing Nolwenn had said, but shuts it as she stresses the terrible things that'd happen if she mucked it up.

Being as she was pretty dry, she leans over toward the water and dunks her arm in it. Lifting her now sopping arm, and a quick glance to Nolwenn, she speaks as instructed, "Arganiaaa." In speaking, she imagines her sopping arm being dry..

And the next second later she's dry! ... Maybe a little too dry. Dry skin was itchy. And now she was mildly itchy from too-dry skin.

Anezka grins triumphantly, "Not a bad trick! I'll have to practice that, though.. I think I overdid it.." she uses her other paw to itch the arm she'd said the spell on, and grins a little sheepishly in Nolwenn's direction.</font>

  7. <font color='#728FCE'> - Oh, right. Maybe you did. Maybe you made the "aaaa" a little too powerful. You see, the longer and more pronounced the "aaaa" is, the more potent your spell is. Well, you are more talented than I. The first time I tried the spell, Iturned into a Rheyant. Arnya couldn't understand how I did it. Nobody, she said, had eveer done something so amazingly stupid. Oh, do you want me to show you the opposite spell? The moisterising one? It's rather easy .. You just inverse the syllables .. You get this ...

    "Niaargaaaaaaaaa"

She smiled but suddenly, she felt a strange tingling sensation and before she knew it, she was covered with water.
Woops, stressed the "aaaa" too mcuh
    "Arganiaaa"
    She was dry once again.</font>

  8. <font color='698AAB'>Anezka flicks her ears glancing down, and if she could blush through her fur she just might. She felt it was quite a compliment for someone older than her to tell her she was talented! (Considering she usually had to defend herself against nay-sayers)

Then she listens carefully to the next spell, the reverse to the one she'd just been taught. ...And, of course, now she decides to try this one out. A little less pronounced than last time, though.

"Niaargaa." even less pronounced than her first spell, as she was trying to figure out just what strength to give it, each time.

Flexing her arm, she feels it back to normal, nice and moist. Perhaps a little too moist, but for now, moist was preferred to dry!

"Thank you for teaching me that, I'll definitely have to remember those." Anezka nods affirmatively: and she would, since those seemed to be useful, especially to her odd habits. Such as swimming in winter!

Then a thought hits the young pendragon; "Do those only work on yourself, or on others, too?" While speaking, she folds her wings around herself, almost like a cloak, her double thumbs crossing in front of her, but not entwined.

Nonetheless, it looks like Nolwenn has just aquired a soul that looks up to her!</font>

  9. <font color='#008080'>Another pendragon with a silver strip down it's back comes to the cave enterance and peers in. Scents the air then folds it's ears back unuse of what it smelled. Looks away from the cave enterance to lick a wound on it's chest. Sighs and sits down at the enterance, looks at the ground wondering what when wrong.</font>

  10. <font color='#728FCE'>These two spells only work on the person who cast them... I haven't learnt the ones that have effects on others, I am too "young". That's what Arnya says anyway. She thinks she's so smart just because she 500 years older than me.

She then observed Zeva carefully, wondering wether she would be able to draw a replica of her young friend. Anezka was a little taller than Nolwenn and the latter had to look up to see her face properly.

Where do you come from? I've never seen you around. I'm from ones of those caves oer there (she points at some faraway mountains)

Waiting for her response, she quickly sketched a little portrait in the dirt but soon, scratched it off.  She knew she could do better. She wondered wether it might amaze Anezka or, weter, lke the rest of her family, she would chide er for it. You shouldn't waste your time doing these useless doodles, she heard her mother say , They will get you no where.</font>

  11. <font color='698AAB'>Anezka nods on the terms of the spells' powers,, "Gotcha." she grins rougishly, "I know how you feel, with older 'dragons being rather.. stupid." She looks off, noticing other pendragons in cave entrances, but she turns her attention back to Nolwenn.

The young niotie smiles proudly, "My family and I live close to the jungle outskirts." The phrase seemed robtic, as if she'd been taught to say it. Which, she had! She was always off on her own from a very young age, so her parents had to have someway of a more adultish pendragon leading her correctly home when she got lost.

But now wasn't one of those times. She was mostly on her own now, even though she was only 800, and on her way to a specific destination, "I'm heading for Janardan. Haven't found it yet, but I will."

While she says this, though, she watches Nolwenn scratching the dirt in front of her, and becomes curious. She scoots forward a few inches, trying to look at what had been erased, then looks hopefully to Nolwenn, "You draw? Wow. I can't draw."

Anezka shakes her head, her brown mop of hair shaking with it, "Not a bit." she giggles, remembering the teasing she'd get from older niotis and nioties who also lived near where her family did, "Apparently, I can't do a lot of things!"</font>

  12. <font color='#728FCE'>- Janardan? You mean THE Academy?
She paused for a second. I know of it, all my siblings have been there. I shall be going, too, next year. They only accept Pendragons older than 10 00 years, you see.

She thought about what she would do next year, and wondered whether she would find friends and perhaps do as well as her sisters. Well, she was very good in the arts of flight, no one could deny that. Bu would Drawing really be considered a trade? Would she be mocked and teased? No, no. I'm sure it'll be alright, i'll find friends and I'll do ok. It'll be fun and so exciting too. A real adventure. All the bad thoughts had been swept away by a wave of excitement. How she longed to go !
You know, I do know where Janardan is, or ,at least, I know where to find a map. At home, we have this huge library with many scrolls - there's sure to be one. But we're too young ... If only...
She stopped. What she wa about  to say would probably make do things she shouldn't. things far worse than just running away, no, that was nothing compared to what her mind was concieving at that very moment. No, she couldn't ! though she wasn't usually a very responsible pendragon she felt that it was her duty no to get Anezka in trouble as well.
    - There is a spell ... A potion ...
She started but did not finish. No, she couldn't, she just couldn't !
    - Do you parents know you're here?
She musn't get Anezka in trouble, she musn't... But how can she bring her back to her parents - for she was almost sure she had ran away, when she, herself, had despised many a time the ones whom she had trusted but who always ended up bringing her back to the cave.</font>

  13. <font color='698AAB'>Anezka nodded slowly, "Yeah.. kinda.. I heard them talking about finding me a place to learn, 'cause I'm kinda a trouble maker.." she didn't specify why - but the reason was her flash temper she couldn't exactly control.

"So I told them I'd find my way to Janardan, 'cause I'd heard that talked about a lot, so I thought it'd be a good place to go." She shrugs, "Dad didn't agree, but mum did, and while they were arguing it out over whether or not I could go alone, I went."

Anezka blinks, "So.. I guess they don't really know?" again, looking sheepish. "But, if nobody's come to find me yet, I guess it's okay.. either that, or I'm very good at escaping detection." she grins.</font>

  14. <font color='#728FCE'>Etincelle might have only  felt relieved that she didn't have to bring Anezka back to her parents but, at the same time, she felt that her up to the impossible, unreachable plan, was now fisible (sp?&#33[IMG].  She was thrilled ans yet afraid. one led to the other in a vicious cercle which tortured her deep inside. She looked around and noticed some movement in a cave nearby. She decided to try and get rid of her dangerous plan and focus her thoughts on that one cave. and yet, the thoughts would not go.
    - Do you see somethign in that cave yonder? i think I do. Shall we go see?</font>

  15. <font color='#008080'>Sighs softly and walks away from the cave enterances as soon as the wind clamed a bit from blowing. Strolls down a path from the cave unsure of what she would run into next.</font>

  16. <font color='698AAB'>\\ OOC: ^^;;  urr.. never saw you'd replied. Ack. *dies*

    \\ IC

Anezka looks toward the cave, "Sure!" She hadn't seen anything, but that's because she was so focused on talking to Nolwenn.

Anezka stands up again, waiting for Nolwenn to lead the way to the cave she was describing.</font>

  17. <font color='#728FCE'>Nolwenn, seeing that Anezka expects her to lead, starts to walk, uneasily. Never yet had she led anyone.  She began climbing the mountain side in direction of the cave's mouth, towards the shape of what seemed to be a pendragon. She looked back to see if anezka was behind and, still feeling uneasy decided to slow down to allow her friend to catch up. That way, She thought, We can walk together side by side.
    - Do you see now? It must be a pendragon.</font>

  18. <font color='698AAB'>Anezka had enough bravery (or maybe it was naive stupidity..) for the both of them, so she takes her place beside Nolwenn, as the other niotie didn't seem all that keen on going first.

She peers, looking carefully.. <span style='color:#B69D85'>"So it does.."</span>

Anezka looks at Nolwenn, <span style='color:#B69D85'>"Want to try and catch up with him or her?"</span> If she didn't, Anezka certainly wasn't going to force her.</font>

  19. <font color='#728FCE'>Nolwenn suddenly felt a  wave of overwhelming excitement take control of her. Eyes shining she replied.
    - Sure ! D'you mind if we fly over ? I loooove flying !!!!
She was far from scared now, even a little over confident. She longed to be in the airs again and feel the swish of the wind ... She would of course, do as her companion wished. If she didn't want to fly, so be it. However, she would have been very disappointed. The form was getting closer as they walked and she was now sure that it was indeed a Femme, since no flame was visible.</font>

  20. <font color='698AAB'>Anezka grins, <span style='color:#B69D85'>"No problem!"</span>

Her huge wings were unfurled at that moment. She crouches down, then springs into the air, her leathering wings providing the needing downsweep to get her airborne.

Now that she was hovering, she awaits Nolwenn, which once she was airborne, they'd both fly over and see what this other pendragon was needing.</font>
