Biomes: Mountains, caves Frequency: Common Diet: Minerals in rocks Edible: All of it Size: Flat -- patches can range in size from a few inches to several feet The uninteresting plant known as "skrud" grows anywhere it can on rocks in the cooler regions of the world. Its boring gray-green color is monochromatic and and a rock that it has grown on will have the appearance of being painted. A plant such as this may seem to be pointless -- however, skrud is literally a lifesaver for a traveller in need. If you are lost in the mountains or simply have no food, just give a rock with skrud on it (AKA a "skruddy" rock) a good scratching with your claws to remove the plant. The powdery bits that scrape away are incredibly nutritious and have been known to save many a pendragon from sure death. Many also say that popping a small, skruddy rock into one's mouth and sucking on it can have healing properties, although this is debated. ((I'll draw a picture of it if you guys like the idea))

Mm.. you know, it reminds me of that one episode of The Simpsons. The one where they're spoofing the book Lord of the Flies (school kids trapped on an island), and Lisa is licking rocks. Awesome, lol.
Uh, so is that good, then? Can it be put in the database or do I need to write more or something? Let me know. I'm great with churning out ideas, I'd be happy to "fatten up" the plant department. It is pretty upsetting that there are so few varieties.

Seems like it's all set to me. I'll draw it... eventually. I'm not that psyched to draw a rock with a blob on it to tell the truth haha. But you gotta love the skrud. It's a valuable part of the ecosystem! yay!
Omgorsh. I love skrud. What does it taste like? Like...would someone decide to eat it for fun, like candy, or chips, or crackers, or celery? Or is it something you would only eat if you were dying of hunger? Cuz I am totally going to have some random character sucking on a skruddy rock.
