    <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Mia 03 81379
    Jyta Telbaj

As a note, I've decided to solve the problem of me not playing for an in-character year (well, closer to 1 1/4, I think, but who's counting, heh) by saying that Jyta conveniently went off to Bhim to both work at her parents' brewery -- it's the family business -- and to establish contacts for her future plans to be an escort/cortesean/what have you. She has kind've gotten over the incident with Tamay. She has decided she is bisexual. She is rather nervous, and I figure that she probably hasn't told Tamay and Ryth she's coming back. She told Nurano, who may have spread it around, and the school may have told Tamay, as they were dormmates, but I don't know. Kat can decide that one.</td></tr></table>

Jyta put down her bag as she walked into the courtyard and found a convenient bench. It was weird, being back here. She hadn't been, since she had taken her "year abroad" (she wondered what the school administration thought of her doing it in Bhim -- for all she knew, they thought she'd laid an egg). It was odd.

She looked around, noticing that the courtyard was sparesly populated. She laughed slightly to herself, surprised that this had even been worth noting. Of course the place was deserted. It was Mia, and it was cold, and no one was ever out here anyway, especially since it had just rained a few days before and was cold and miserable.

It was certainly different from Bhim.

Jyta stood up and began to walk towards the dorms. She paused, remembering what had last transpired there before she had taken off with naught but a sticky note to alert her ex and her room mate as to where she was going, and headed back to her parents, and reconsidered. She sat back down, this time on the ground. Her jeans were going to get wet, but she didn't care. She wasn't dressed to impress -- just jeans and a hoodie, as no one even knew who she was, anymore, she figured. She flopped onto her back, cushioning her head on the sack of clothes, and stared at the sky. It stared back with bright light and a grey layer of clouds. She sighed.

She didn't know what she was going to do. On one hand, she knew it was stupid to sit out here. It looked like it was going to rain, she was going to get wet, and she was going to get sick. She'd always been bad about getting colds. On the other, she didn't want to go back to filing for classes and a new dorm room and dealing with her real life. She wondered what would happen if she just fell asleep outside. She chuckled to herself, her voice still deep and somewhat hoarse from yelling at some poor baggage claim clerk the day before, and closed her eyes.

alright. ill bring tamay out, and just have her bump into jyta, not really recognizing her, but them ending up realizing who she really is, and such. ok thread time.

Tamay gathered her warm jacket considering she only wore a tank top and some pants. she was never one to dress for the weather, and had always regretted it in the end. Tamay had decided to take a stroll today considering her classes werent starting for quite sometime, she didnt even know if she was going to continue in school this term. she had already registered but was unsure if she would remain. so much had perspired in her past, she thought about going out into the real world, finding some work and getting on with her life, but she wasnt sure, more training would always help her. Once again she was caught up in this huge dilema.. of life.

She walked down the hallway, heading for the main entrance, which lead to the courtyard. she was unsure of this was really worth it, going out into the damp cold weather. Tamay was sick of being locked up inside, she always loved being outside, spending time to just relax and let all her thoughts ease. She exited the school and walked outside, pulling her hood over her head. Her yellow eyes glowing in the light from the skies above, at least there was some light in the sky, unlike the past few days, of terrible weather.

She looked around, contemplating on where she would venture too, when she saw another laying on the ground, she knew there was a familiarilty to this 'dragon but she could quite place who it was. she walked over to her and was just worried that something was wrong, looking down on her, thoughts came back, but she couldnt come up with a name, it had been too long, and Tamay was overly tired and didnt feel like thinking, she was more concerned that this other was alright.

"you alright down there? its awfully cold out here...why dont you go inside and warm up, if you'd like you could come to my dorm and i could make you a hot cup of coco and dry your pants for you"

She smiled gently, hoping that she didnt seem like a big scary rapist or something of that sort, trying to lure the helpless victim to her dorm, not even realizing who this 'dragon was, she just smiled.

<table class='ooc'><tr><td>Good job on letting me know. :P Ah, well. I have utterly loads of homework tonight, and I've already given up one scheduled event in order to work on it, so there's a very good chance that I won't be able to post tonight.

Also, I'm figuring that Ryth is still rooming with Tamay, so I'll meet Jyta when she is brought up to the room, I guess. Continue on posting without me in the cycle until then.</td></tr></table>

  4. Jyta shrugged, and got up, nodding. She knew that the girl in question wasn't a big scary rapist -- and if she was, Jyta knew how to defend herself. Besides, Jyta had never met a student at the school that she had actually considered dangerous. Annoying, maybe, and quite a few were not in the least agreeable, but never threatening any physical harm. She grabbed her pack and sweatshirt, and set off after Tamay. The path felt familiar, but she attributed it to just being back in the school she had spent a decent portion of her "adult" life in.

It wasn't until she saw the number on the dorm room that she realized who the 'dragon in front of her was. She wondered if Tamay knew who she was -- she doubted it. She did look different than when she had left. For one thing, she was dressed in what might be dubbed normal clothing, and for another, her skin was still much more purple than red after a dye job that she had used to help make her self unrecognizable in the Bhim marketplace. It had been useful.

Jyta wondered if Ryth was still rooming with Tamay. Probably. They never had gotten along well, but Jyta was pretty sure that Ryth was not going to move out of the perfectly nice room because of it. They'd never been at arms, or anything.

Jyta put her bag down on what had been her old bed -- she noticed that the sheets were not what they had been when she had been there. A new roomate? Or, maybe, they had just gotten tired of taking care of the red satin. It always had been a pain. Jyta walked back to the front of the room near Tamay, and took a seat. She wondered how long it would take -- she did figure that the girl was going to recognize her at some time. She decided just to wait it out. It would happen eventually.

sorry for the late responce. got a nasty touch of either food poisioning or the flu. doctor hasnt been able to figure it out yet :P but yes. sorry

    [ I C ]

Tamay helped this other to the dorm, to dry her up and make her feel a little more comfortable. Not being able to place a name to a face, she was beginning to get frustrated with herself. Tamay knew that she knew this 'dragon, but she couldnt quite get it right.

As she began to tidy up a little making the room look at least a little more presentable for the guest she began to piece things together. This others voice had sounded so famaliar, and it was finally coming to her, she looked at the 'dragon and smiled, then saying

"Jyta? is that you under all that purple?"

Tamay hoped she wasnt wrong, and wasnt about to make herself look like a fool, but she thinks she had finally figured it out!

  6. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Guess it's my turn.</td></tr></table>

Ryth had heard Tamay come back in, and wondered what had cut her walk short. He detected the sound of a bag being heavily set on a bed, but that made less sense. Tamay hadn't left with a bag, had she? Unless she had taken up grand larceny as a hobby...

Ryth stuck his head out of the bathroom, and was greeted by the sight of an unfamiliar purple 'dragon who was blocked by Tamay, facing away from him. Ryth stepped out into the main room, and Tamay simultaneously moved to the right, leaving the stranger no longer obscured and asking an incredible question.

"Jyta? is that you under all that purple?"

Ryth was dumbfounded. He was positive when Jyta walked out over a year ago, it would be the last time he would see her. Yet here she was, albeit with a new fur color. He wasn't sure if he should be furious or ecstatic to see her back in his room. Well, his and Tamay's, although the room listing still had Jyta's name on it. The administration, apparently, hadn't even blinked a red-tape eye in response to her extended absence. Why was she back here, at the school after that long?

It was true that he owed as much to Jyta as Tamay. Both of them had welcomed him into this school, and without them both, he would have been totally lost. He eventually, though, would have gained some knowledge of the real workings of the university, but until then, it would have been hell for him. What would have happened if he had not passed this room on his first day here?

He shook his head, as if he felt obligated to anger directed at Jyta. She had no right to walk out on them! There is no excuse for behavior like that!

But, then again, they had all been rather close before Jyta's walk-out. Was it true that he had been more distant to Tamay lately? Doubtful. So that could only mean that Jyta was the weak link in the chain, right? He suspected that he had made some error in his logic, but he always did let emotion gain a hold over him, didn't he?

He stood slack jawed behind Tamay, facing the last person who he expected by in the dorm room. Though the mist of these battling emotions, he managed a weak smile and a quiet <span style='color:FF6600'>"Nice fur job, Jyta."</span>

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
    <table class='ooc'><tr><td>And I write a damn novel. How like me.</td></tr></table>

  7. Jyta smiled a little. She appreciated the compliments on the dye job. She peered at her forearm for a moment, realizing it was going spotty. Two good showers, and she'd be her usual color. Though, in this environment, that was likely going to be a good thing.

"Yeah, guilty as charged. Hey, Ryth." She waved a little. She was not entirely sure what to do now. She knew that Ryth, at least, was going to be mad -- they hadn't parted on the best of terms, and her relationship with Tamay had landed on only a marginally higher note. His reactions were easy to guage, both from her training in doing so and from her knowing him for so long. He was easy to read -- angry, controlled by whatever emotion flared up. Tamay, however, would be harder to figure out. She was likely to be the more coolheaded of the two. Jyta wasn't entirely sure what to expect from either quarter.

She shifted a moment, realizing the air was thick enough to take a bite out of, and walked past Ryth to her pack. She pulled out a bottle of some (highly illegal on school grounds) liquor, and walked to the kitchen to grab the appropriate glasses. "Want some? Special order from my parents." She didn't wait for a response, but pushed the two glasses away from her and towards them, leaving a trail on the wood of the table.

    "So, how're things?"

  8. Tamay was pleased that Jyta had returned on such good terms with herself, but she couldnt forget how the past had played out and how quickly Ryth had come in and taken her away from Tamay. She didnt know whether to be excited that Jyta was back or a little more cautious than before. Tamay was happy to take a drink, having not had any for quite some time, really getting to work on school to finish up and get out of there into the real world.

Tamay was just happy she was back, knowing that things would either begin to fall into place and work out, or crash and burn. Tamay smiled as she reached for the glass and picked it up, putting it to her lips. She tasted before taking a huge gulp of the unknown liquor.

"Very good. thank you for bringing this for us"

Tamay wasnt sure if Jyta meant to come back and find her or if she came back solely for Ryth, or maybe for neither of them and just happened to run into her. She had so many things running through her mind.

  9. Ryth sighed and accepted the drink graciously. Jyta was always followed by alcohol, no matter the context. But he wasn't just about to say no at a time like this. Get a little hammered, get back into the swing of things, and maybe this situation could still be saved. He looked down into his already half-empty glass.

Why was he so bitter for Jyta's departure? She obviously was very uncomfortable with what had happened. Wouldn't he have done the same thing? It was no personal affront to him. Couldn't he accept her judgement? Well, at least that was over. She was back, and he was going to try and make her feel welcome. She was going to stay, right? He had to broach the situation carefully...

<span style='color:ff6600'>"You're back for good, right, Jyta?"</span> He looked at her hopefully.

He mentally slapped himself in the face. Sometimes, his mouth was a little bit ahead of his brain. He tried to salvage what face he had left.

<span style='color:ff6600'>"I mean, you'll be staying here for tonight, and then we'll talk, I mean. I don't know why you're here, but. I mean, if you don't want to tell us. Or where you've been. It's your business, though, so..."</span> His voice trailed off. <span style='color:ff6600'>Now I've done it. Now I look like the idiot I really am. Oh well. Hopefully she understands what I'm getting at.</span>

  10. Jyta added another dollop of liquor to Ryth's cup without being asked. He needed it more than she or Tamay did. She listened to his rather confusing ramblings for a moment before blinking, turning to Tamay, and saying, "You're quite welcome. My parents were looking to test it out on the not-quite-alcoholic set of students -- I said I'd hook them up. It suits us better than paint thinner, I do believe."

She had been right. Ryth was proving not only possibly difficult to deal with, but confusing in the extreme. Oh well. It wasn't as if she was walking into this unaided -- the booze was a forethought on her part, or she would have had something with a lower alcohol content, like usual. And, she was at least half familiar with his behavior patterns.

    Three, two, one, let's jam...

She opened her mouth and said, "Yeah, if you guys wouldn't mind me crashing on whatever available surface is to be had. D'you care, Tamay? If you don't want to, that's fine -- but if I'm here, I'll pay for dinner." She wriggled her eyebrows in a gesture that she hoped seemed at least half appealing. "And as for the rest of it... I'll tell you the full story, dye job and all, over dinner," and, if all did not go so well, some more alcohol, "But most of it is that I just took a year off to go to Bhim. Perfecting my trade, setting up contacts, learning more of what I need to run the brewery once my parents kick the bucket or hand the place off to me. Nothing terribly exciting. And as for the rest," she downed the rest of her glass, "Not much to explain. Got freaked out, didn't want to deal with it, ran away. Any questions?" It was a rhetorical. She wasn't much in the mood for answering them tonight. "And what food do you want for dinner?"

  11. O O C

sorry for the delay, holidays kept me away from here. but im here yessss :)

    I C

Tamay just didnt know what to say and she was astounded at the reaction of Jyta to Ryth. She was always worried about Jyta coming back and completely being in love with Ryth, and completely forgetting about her, even though she wasnt the jealous type sometimes she had the feeling. She didnt know how to respond right now, she was in a way happy that the three of them were now on mutual terms and hopefully her and Jyta would become closer in the time to come.

Tamay knew Jyta was tired she could tell by her body language. She was unsure if she should try to talk or just offer her somewhere to rest, she first thought about giving up her bed, but then realized, that there was the spare bedroom and she still did have Jyta's sheets packed away for the day she hoped Jyta would come back.

Oh, why of course you can stay, and I still have your sexy satin sheets, I'll go make the bed for you before I get too drunk and become unable to do so. You're more than welcome to stay as long as you need

Tamay hoped that she wouldnt take this the wrong way, above all she wanted to continue to be friends with Jyta, she loved having her around and spending time with her. Tamay picked up her glass, and poured a little more to top it off then turned to walk into the spare room which had belonged to Jyta just a year before.

  12. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class='ooc'><tr><td>I'm really sorry it took me this long to post you guys. And since I just woke up (it's 3:30 PM here, my sleep schedule is wonked), forgive the short post. I don't have much to cover anyway.</td></tr></table>

Ryth watched Tamay carefully, then looked away carefully. He knew that she still harbored feelings for Jyta, but he was surprised that she would flaunt a little less that subtly. Sure, he still wished Jyta and himself were still back like they were, but just now, after five minutes back in the same room. He was still a bit cautious with that subject.

Hell, who knows? Was Jyta still bi? Ryth sighed and took a gulp of his drink. He had a feeling he'd been needing it soon. And hopefully, this whole thing wouldn't have to turn into a giant fiasco. The one thing that could probably save this was everyone getting smashed, probably some lewd behavior, and a couple of headaches in the morning.

<span style='color:ff6600'>"Dinner? I'm in. What're we gonna do?"</span> he said, a little too loudly. He was already feeling a bit inebriated, even after the few glasses he'd had. <span style='color:ff6600'>Musta been a little more potent that I thought.</span>

  13. Jyta mentally had her head meet desk. This was not going as planned -- Tamay was not doing what she was supposed to. The situation had shifted, and oddly enough, Ryth was the one trying to make the least socially awkward move possible. She did, however, subtly move the container of liquor away from him. If he wanted more, he could get something with a lower alcohol content. As it was, if they drank much more of it (and by "they", Jyta included herself), it would begin to burn their tongues. Jyta hadn't been kidding about the paint thinner reference.

So, the playing field had shifted. Ryth wasn't the problem, Tamay was. Jyta knew above all else that she would not be kissing (or anything else remotely out of the realm of platonic) either of her roommates that night -- or, presumably, any other. She knew that a relationship was percisely what she didn't need at the moment, her trade and past history considered.

I've worked myself into a nice little corner, now, haven't I? She shrugged. Time to lay in the bed I made. Hope it has nice sheets.

She wondered how to best deflect Tamay's advances. Flat-out refusal would move them back to square one, she thought. More drink was not the answer, contrary to Ryth's train of thought. Tamay was an honest drunk, and that was not going to be in the least helpful. Perhaps pairing her off with someone? That would require a substantial amount of time she quite likely wouldn't have, and would require a trip into a bar, or at least a bar-slash-restaurant, most likely. So, that was a no go.

Jyta was not liking the situation. And she had to say something, or her overlong silence would be noticed and noted.

"Yeah, there's a good place right off campus I ate at this afternoon. We can go there..." she trailed off. She had bought herself a few more moments of time, since Tamay had left the room. She looked at Ryth, considering him for a moment. Insofar as she knew, his feelings for her were dead or latent -- or he was better at holding his alcohol. Should she enlist his help?

She wished, not for the first time in her life, that Ryth and Tamay could just pair off and make her life easier by half.

She sighed and decided to go for it. She wasn't seeing any other options. {Ryth, while she's out of the room... She still got feelings for me?} She gritted her teeth. {It's a stupid question, of course she does. Damn honest drunk. You're the one who's been living with her for the past year. What do you suggest to have her give up on me within the night? You know I'm not interested in either one of you, not after what happened.} She felt more confident doing this with Ryth, if only because he probably already held a grudge against her because of how she had left. She wouldn't be winning any favor, but she had so little already, probably, that it didn't matter.

  14. Tamay finished up in the room, making the bed for Jyta, she could hear them talking in the other room and began to think to herself, not allowing the alcohol to cloud her judgement. she didnt know how she felt about Jyta anymore, she figured it would be best for her that her and ryth were together or Jyta was off with someone else. She was really beginning to get to the point where she only sees her as a friend, Tamay doesnt want nothing more, and is almost clear with this. She needed to continue with her schooling and get out of her, move away far away. She could tell just by body language and Jytas composition that she had no interest in her, and now Tamay would allow her self to let go of any feelings she had for Jyta. This was easy for her to do, she had been hurt so many times in the past, she could easily just forget about ever liking someone and keep a friendship.

Tamay walked back into the room, looking at both Ryth ad Jyta.

so did we pick a place to eat at? im starved. oh yeah. Jyta. your bed is made.

Tamay thought to herself, maybe she needed to get all of this out into the open, maybe she should be the one to just bring up the topic, so everyone can be more relaxed and they could all go out as friends and have a good time.

ok im going to say this since no one else will. Jyta yes i had strong feelings for you in the past, but i have allowed myself to get past that, I no longer feel that way. I'm sure sometimes i will, but i would rather just remain friends with you and I'm pretty sure you feel the same way. I'm just glad you are safe and sound and decided to come back to the school

Tamay felt a huge sign of relief, she had gotten this out, and this would hopefully make everyone a little more relaxed.
