1. Jayde Thurin
1 600
Quarter: Tessera (Autumn)
Day: 15
Year: 81377 (3)

OC: this is mainly for incendi and i, but if you wish to join, go ahead.

IC: Jayde looked around her, taking in her surroundings. She didn't quite know why she picked this spot.

But, at least it was an interesting place.

She was no larger than a middle sized dog, and her silver fur makes it knwn that she is not a native to the area.

She had made it known, publically, that she was looking to hire an assassin. A certain assassin. Who should be meeting her here soon.

Her gold eyes took in all the minute details as she sat, waiting.

2. Incendi padded along, Miska slithering along behind. A quick mental word sent him slithering on ahead through the foliage to investigate the new client. He peeked through, giving the area a quick glance before glancing back at Incendi She's alone. Incendi gave a brief nod as the spitting tmuka climbed up onto his perch around her neck. then she stepped through the foliage, pale blue fur glistening in the humidity as she prepared to warmly greet her customer.

"Hello..." She paused and tilted her head "Do i know you?"
There was something a bit familiar about this one... the pale silver fur, the gold eyes, the tattoos that marked her... Oh no. She narrowed her eyes and backed away, ears flattened against her skull. "What do you want?

3. Jayde's gold eyes fell on Incendi.

"It's good to see you too, auntie. How have you been?"

She sat, facing Incendi. "What do I want?"

She smiled. "To be your apprentice. I dropped the academy. You'd be a better 'dragon to learn from." Her eyes flash as she says sweetly. "You know, it's the least you could do for dumping me at that orphanage."

4. Incendi winced inwardly. After all, Jayde was Thodrick's daughter. Even if he had been only her half brother he'd proven that he deserved the family name. She grumbled and deflated a bit and gave Jayde a long look. She wanted to be her apprentice? But Jayde would have to follow her everywhere, watch her every move... Incendi shuddered at the thought of being in clse proximity to the niotie for that long. But Thodrick wasn't around anymore to teach her the clan ways. That left Incendi. At least until she sent her to Druhv to the rest of the clan. But then they'd make her take the little one anyways if she voiced her desire to be her apprentice. She gave Jayde a withering glare before sighing in defeat.

"Fine. I'll take you on as my apprentice. But you have to do exactly as i say!

Incendi shook her head, what was she getting herself into? But as long as Jayde didn't sing out her age to the entire world or some other catastrophe like that then she would survive.

5. Jayde smiled. "Really?! How cool!!"

She bounced, litterally, up onto her four feet. Her gold eyes sparkled as she looked at Incendi out of the corner of her eye. "So, Auntie, where to first?"

6. Incendi twitched, her eyes glowing with more of the Thurin insanity as she was adressed as "Auntie." She gave her neice a glare and snarled "Don't call me auntie!"

Wih a small mumble she got up and glanced around the small clearing. Where to indeed...

7. She flicked her tail at her aunt's words.

"But you didn't answer my question..." She smiled, her gold eyes twinkling. "Auntie."

8. Incendi froze, eye beginning to tick violently at the word "Auntie." She whirled aobut and without a second thought her eyes blazed red and searing flames burst on Jayde's head. Incendi calmed down, and regained her composure.

"We're going deeper into the jungle. I want to see how much i need to teach you."

9. Jayde blinked a few times after the falmes had dissipated.

Note to self: Don't call Incendi Aunitie too often

She nodded. "Okay."

She started singing under her breath as she made to follow Incendi.

"Incendi is my auntie, she's really really old."

She stopped. hmmm... I wonder if she heard me...

10. Incendi glared, oh she'd heard all right. But she'd let that one slide for now. she padded along and gave Jayde's body a quick mental command to stop moving. She walked on a bit further before sitting and closing her eyes.

"Sneak up on me."

11. Startled, she looked down, trying to move her legs.

She pouted when she realized what had happened.

Upon hearing Incendi's words, she raised an eyebrow, well, what would have been one had there been hair.

She shrugged.

She slowly made her way toward Incendi, being careful where she stepped, making no unduly noise... she hoped.

12. Incendi tilted her head slightly to better listen as her niece snuck up on her. There was definately room for improvement. THe steps weren't quite sure of themselves and weren't quite regular. so was this a case where she needed to do nothing to bnolster self confidence in her new pupil or should she correct her now? She decided to leav it be for now and only adress it if it occured again. She remained still.

13. She stopped when she was close enough to pounce.

She crouched and was deciding on whether to pounce or not. She didn't need to be totally bald, afterall, she liked her fur.

14. Incendi heard her stop and chose that time to take a small peek and act surprised. "Oh. Well i geuss i'l have an easier time of it than i thought... but i bet you can't do it again.

despite all outwardly apearances she did care about her niece... but that didn't mean she had to like her too.

15. Jayde raises her eyebrows, and then smiles at the challenge. "Wanna bet?"

Realizing she was still crouched, she started to straighten up but stopped and stayed crouched. She smiled a truly evil smile and pounced.

16. Incendi rolled her eyes slightly as she raised a small forcefield around her. she shook her head slightly and gave her niece a look " told you to sneak up on me, not pounce"

17. Jayde looked up from the ground and laughed.

"Didn't say I couldn't pounce though."

She rolled over and walked back to where she started.

18. Incendi sighed and turned back around, closing her eyes, ears keen to listen to footsteps.

19. She smiled and started making her way toward Incendi again, more confidence in her actions.

She hadn't been praised much at the orphanage, or given many compliments at the academy or the orphanage.

She knew there was no way Incendi hadn't heard her before, but the fact that Incendi let that slide, made her feel slightly proud.

This time, when she got close enough, she didn't hesitate to pounce.

20. it was the barest of patters that Incendi's ears caught and that wasn't what saved her form being pounced upon. she felt the soft woosh of air preceeding a body hurtling itself through the air and at the last minute, she ducked. she actually smiled. "Much better"

she stood up and shook her pale blue pelt and looked at her student. "So how many ways do you know how to kill?"
