Hello! I'm Sadie, which is to say that I've been a lurker on the wiki and forums for a little while now. And as I have no idea what else to say, I'll steal the topics from the Introduction thread up top! When and where did you first start roleplaying? Is Shadowlack your first online play-by-post game? I played a game of D&D with my brother, father, and a couple of his friends when I was knee-high to a Feydragon. I then got sucked into other roleplaying games, and eventually video games. When Ultima Online was fresh and new, I played for years with a guild of orcs, and can still blather on in a bastardized version of Tolkien's Black Speech. A couple of years ago, I started playing in a boffer-based LARP game that has a forum for in-game interaction between events. That was my first experience with a play-by-post game. How did you find out about Shadowlack? Through your lovely administrator, Iversia. :) Do you have any pets? I do not, at the moment. I grew up in a veritable zoo, with six cats, two dogs, chinchillas, ferrets, and assorted rodents. I lived with a Devon Rex cat with my namesake for a good many years before moving to my current, pets-free domicile. I think I'd sell my liver for a furry or scaley companion or twelve, but it isn't in the cards for now. What's your favourite animal, genre of music, or video game? Currently, I'm in love with hedgehogs, mice, rats, ferrets, and geckos. Rodents have always been a favourite of mine, and I used to live with a sweetheart of a ferret. Musically I'm an 80's girl at heart, with a soft spot for old goth rock and post-punk tunes. As for video games, I couldn't possibly choose. So yeah! Hello to the lot of you, and with a bit of luck I may be roleplaying with you soon! --Sadie Kay.
Brilliant! Now I have someone on here who can back up my sexual prowess claims! :D :D Happy hatchday, you gorgeous woman. Welcome to Shadowlack.
Heed her words, strangers of the interwebs. *Nods most seriously* ;) Thank you for the welcome and wishes, my dear!
A belated welcome to you Sadie! The idea of a family playing DnD together seems so silly in my head since I can only picture my own family and how uninterested everyone except me would be xD
Thank you, Lautir! The idea of not playing D&D with family seems foreign to me. I played with my father and his friends, and after my parents split, my step-father and his sons. Gaming has always been a family thing in my life. But that's what happens when you grow up in a wicked geeky family. My mother has BINDERS of stuff printed out for the online games she plays or used to play, and she met my stepfather on a BBS. Their current most prized home decorations are the two Minecraft torches that they ordered from ThinkGeek. :D
Yeah, I'm a little envious of @Sadie's family too. So geeky. I mean, dinner conversations that revolve around Ultima Online. o_o;
