Some of the performers were practicing for their opening later on, and Vjauc figured she should head that way, too; her act needed some refining for this setting. She flicked her tail as she walked, also checking the perimeter for any eager children trying to break into the circus. There were none, which was strange; they were heading into town tomorrow to perform, and the 'dragons in charge of spreading the word should have had a gaggle of children following them home. Which lead her to the conclusion that they hadn't come back yet. That could be good; the area was one of their usual sites, so it was familiar enough that they couldn't be lost. The only other explanation was that they were swamped with people wanting details, which meant a lot of money coming in tomorrow. Walking passed one of her colleagues, she realized her emotions must be displayed on her face, as the 'dragon laughed and clapped her on the shoulder. "Looks like tomorrow will be a busy day, eh?" She grinned back at the familiar male, snapping her wings open. "Looks like!" She agreed, glancing toward the lake. "Better get to practice so we're at our best." He nodded, taking the "suggestion" for what it really was, and hurried off, gathering his friends and soon sending the circus into a whirl of activity, everyone rushing to get to practice. Vjauc smirked, enjoying her moment of being Senior Act before turning to follow her own order, diving into the clear water. She'd been in the circus since she was a child, longer than any of the current acts there--most of the ones she'd grown up with had gone off to see what else the world held, but Vjauc was content with life the way it was now. At this rate she would inherit the circus when the owners retired, which would be soon if they had anything to say about it. She could only wish her pack would stop getting smaller.
It was a very nice day as the sun was radiant over the whole land. The water glistens from it while the lake was still without any disruption to it. Today seem the prefect day to be out playing or visiting others. Plus the luck of the circus being at Magi Lake. However there was one individual, who really has not time to relax till nighttime, which isn’t around for hours. Velisra, an aquabat that works all day and parties at night. Her job was simple, make weapons and sell them as collectibles, military use, criminal use or house defense. She didn’t care who she sold it to as long as they didn’t cause her problems, so far she had none. Velisra was on her way to the shopping district to her shop to sell some new weapons she made. As she carried them toward the location, she noticed someone diving into the lake. Who was it she thought for a second before shaking her head, telling herself she needed to focus. Although she tried to maintain her concentration, she found it hard to when she looked at the pretty aquabat in the water. An aquabat, here? She thought she was the only one who moved out into the world of the surface. Before Vel knew it, she tripped and dropped her weapons. “Shoot…” She said before trying to pick up her spill.
ooc:Sorry, I had some computer trouble. >< Vjauc did some of her usual moves, flipping and spinning through the water and breeching the water to flick droplets out over the tents, whirling through the air and plunging back down. She loved Magi Lake, the water reminded her of her once-home, of her mother and the races she'd had with the older Aquabat. Those days had been over for a while, however; it was time to move on. Swimming to the surface again in a less dramatic fashion, she started to pull herself up when a clattering sound reached her ears, making her turn. Someone, just outside the tents on the regular path leading into town, had dropped a whole armful of weapons. She glanced around and saw no one else had noticed the thill's trip. Vjauc rolled her eyes, mumbling about insensitive jerks; she was a rube, yes, but someone could stop to help. Climbing out of the water and walking toward her, she knelt down next to the thill, gathering the weapons with hidden surprise; she'd never seen so many in one place, and they were well-made. Vjauc wondered where she'd gotten them, and where she was going. She picked up the last one and straightened, turning to look at her companion and hold out her armload--only to drop them again as she realized she was facing an Aquabat, her jaw dropping in shock. "O-oh. Sorry." She bent, gathering them again quickly and rising once more, unable to help staring. She hadn't seen another Aquabat since...well, since she was a child! Nearly twenty years! She shook her head a little, tilting her head to look at her again. "My apologies, you just...surprised me."
Velisra sighed sadly as she gathered her arsenal she dropped. She soon stopped and ran her hand over her right ear. Vel heard someone come up next to her which made her jump a little. Slowly she moved her hand to her special knife and readied herself for the worst outcome, but it didn’t come. Instead the thill seemed to come over to help her with her unfortunate spill. Easily she sheathed her knife and returned to getting her large supply organized again. Shocked ran through her face when Velisra noticed it was another Aquabat that was helping her. She thought she was the only one that was more inland. Guessing she was wrong then again this was her first. When the “bat” finally looked at her after picking the last remaining weapons. The thill suddenly dropped the load she held in surprise probably the same thought of meeting another “bat” inland. She apologized quickly and gathered the arsenal she spilled. Vel’s bright blue eyes stared back at her as she thanked the thill as she held her arms for her weapons. “No worries… So what’s a good looking bat doing inland?” Velisra asked the thill with a sweet smile.
Vjauc let the other thill take the weapons, glancing toward the circus tents and seeing the other performers watching them, wide-eyed. Her eyes snapped back to the other Aquabat as she spoke, tilting her head at the question. "I'm a part of the circus. And you? I haven't seen another Aquabat in a long time." Now that she'd gotten over her surprise, she'd reverted to her usual cool demeanor, a small smile on her maw. She'd missed the company of other Aquabats, if she were to be truthful, and there seemed to be very few who came inland. Not even traveling the world did she notice any other Aquabats in the crowds, although she wasn't really paying attention to the crowd when she was doing her act. Still...you'd think she'd notice her own kind. Crossing her arms over her chest, she turned her thoughts back to her companion, taking her in curiously. "My name is Vjauc. Are you new to these parts? We've been here before, but I've never seen you." Then again, that wasn't all that unusual.
1. Velisra wrapped her well toned arms around the load of weapons. It was still all too strange to see another aquabat here of all things. The thill’s answer to her question was surprising; she never knew the circus came here. This must either perfect timing or it just came when she was on a busy schedule. “Oh… I make and sell weapons. And same, especially a cute one at that.” She said with a flirty tone. Vel slow stood up with her pile of weapons in her arms. This bat seemed to be a nice gal to be around, but Velisra won’t drop her chances there since she has some discovering to make first. She noticed the others at the tents and land they’re using to perform some daring tricks, which were alluring to Vel’s opinion. Her body whimpered as it wanted to tempt some of the feats they were doing. Vel’s mind was lost in thought till Vjauc ask her on being new in these parts. “Oh no… I’ve been here since I was roughly fifteen. Just today happens to my busiest day at work. Name’s Velisra.” Velisra said as she shook her head with a sweet smile.
Vjauc's eyes narrowed slightly at the "cute" comment, one ear flicking back to press against her skull. The silver rings clanked together as the appendage moved, making a tinkling noise that soothed her slightly. She shifted a bit away from the younger Aquabat and eyed the well-made weapons, remembering a few times when the circus had had trouble with bandits. They'd always "won", of course, but their own poor, home-made weapons always broke in the fight, since no one ever dedicated their time to the protection of the circus on the road. She was sure they had enough spare money... She was doing the needed mental calculations to pull out the exact amount they'd have to spare for weapons when she noticed the way Velisra was watching the few performers still doing their jobs. Before she could comment, the younger 'bat spoke, drawing her attention from her home and back to her companion. "Ah, I see. Well, the others have probably noticed you before. Talk of buying weapons instead of making our own usually comes up around this region." That was as close to a compliment as anyone outside the circus would ever get from Vjauc.
Velisra looked at her movements closely noticing every sigh she made. Did Vel scare her with her comment? Whatever the case was, Velisra needs to get these weapons to her shop before they have a riot at her place. When this thill spoke about the others talking about her weapons. This sounded awfully close to a compliment, which made her smile. “Thank you Vjauc and tell you what, why don’t you come to my shop and choose ten weapons there on the house.” Velisra said with a big smirk on her face.
Vjauc narrowed her eyes again as she noticed how closely the other was watching her, her face blending into an emotionless mask. She didn't like whatever assumptions were being made, that was for sure. Flicking her ear again, she started to turn away, her bit said, when the younger Aquabat spoke again. She paused, turning back to study her with the same blank look on her face. Free weapons...there was, of course, still no guarantee they wouldn't break, since most of the performers wouldn't know how to take care of them, but they would prove useful. "That would be very helpful. Thank you." She turned slightly, lifting one hand and motioning for the others to get back to work before she turned, her arms crossed as she waited for Velisra to lead the way.
Velisra looked at this bat with a close eye for both her hotness and to figure out her personality, but that prove to be a little difficult for her. This thill seemed to use a mask to hide her emotions or she truly felt nothing to the world. No, she must have some emotions since she cares to protect her little group. Vel smiled at the thill and nodded to her thanks. She was always happy to help others. “Tis way please.” Vel said as she led Vjauc to her humble little store up the hill. Though it was a quite a bit away from the lake. This medium shack-like build was made out of solid metal and stone mixed together. A large reinforced window on the front along with a huge sign stating Velisra’s Armory. Slowly Velisra unlocked the door and let her guest into the facility after setting the supplies down.
Vjauc nodded a little as Velisra began leading her up the hill, glancing back only once to make sure everyone had obeyed her command. She wasn't in charge yet, but they all knew she soon would be. The owners were retiring soon. She gave a small, tight smile at the thought, though she'd be sad to see them go. Even so, they deserved time off; they'd run the business for over forty years, after all. Long before Vjauc had even been born. She was honored they would leave it to her, rather than their children. Not...that she thought they had any children...the circus was more their family than anyone else. Shaking her head slightly, she listened to the soft tinkling of her earrings clinking together and let out a deep breath through her nose, almost but not quite a sigh. As they entered Velisra's Armory, her eyes darted over the collection of weapons there, and she raised a brow, moving toward some of the more obscure weapons along the wall. A rlupatsuvv caught her attention, and she lifted it carefully from its holder, running one hand down the smooth surface. She couldn't tell what it was made of, but it was well-polished, and the blade was sharp. Vjauc tilted her head, plucking a hair and holding it up against the blade. It sliced clean through, and she smiled a little wider, hoisting it up over her shoulder. "May I take this one?" It was probably one of the more expensive weapons, but she had no trouble paying for it if that was the case. Her eyes slid over the shop as she tried to decide on the ones for the other protectors of the circus, her hand clenching and unclenching around her new weapon. It was a beautiful piece of art.
Velisra watched her as Vjauc entered her store with awe like a child in a candy store. Quickly Vel noticed her eyes darting over to a collection of tsaal made. She moved over to Vjauc slowly watching her carefully looking at the rlupatsuvv. “So you fancy for those weapons… huh? Put that one back. I’ll get you a better one.” Vel told her as she went into the back of the store to get Vjauc the same weapon, but different material. After all she had ways of get supplies that were either impossible to get. Her shop was arranged with the junky or somewhat good material in the front shown to the customers. There were a large assortment of tsaal, telbaj, dylp, and glusemon in main part of the store, but in the back there were rare material weapons. Vel got her hands on like ujkumemon, nasayjesa, rymatsaal, and kjitsul. After what seem like thirty minutes, Velisra came back with a rlupatsuvv, but this one was rather unique. The blades were glossy black and they were very smooth and sharp. It was her first big success of forging nasayjesa with kjitsul. “I think this would suit you better than that tsaal one.” Velisra said with a sweet smile as she handed the rlupatsuvv to Vjauc.
