<font color='#000000'>Day: 16 Month: Mia Year: 81378 ()()( - Remember to Timestamp. ;) - Kakos Nylorac alone in the hot desert wiped off the many beads of sweat trickling down her neck and face. Â Her eyes rollling wildly as she walked over the desert dragging her bare paws, which were burning to the highest ascent. Â Her tongue lay out side of her mouth whining and begging for water, her stomach refusing to take in the small amount of food she had. Â Her head swriling dizzy, unknowing to what lie ahead. Â Her pack which was light, lay heavily upon her shoulders as she eventually pulled it tiredly off her hot back dragging it in thee same matter as she dragged her mind around tring to find her way. She was lost, for days now she had been wandering through the desert, hot during the day and cold at night. Â Eating only the small amounts of food she had left, follishly finishing the water on the first day thinking she wouldn't be here long. Â She had come for an adventure, not death. Her mind whirled, and her brain wouldn't function, the only thoughts that she coulld digeste were those that brought her a mental pain. Â Her family, her father, her long lost mother, the lady she had searched for all her pitiful life. Too many of these terrible thoughts came to her, for she was bored in a way and only had her dirty mind for entertainment. Â And her thoughts wandered to every 'dragon thinking the same thoughts for each male, and different for the ladies. Â She thought of her past, It's scars burning a whold through her head. Â far in the distance as she managed to free herself from her trap of a mind she saw a palm tree. Â providing the most shade that this place had to offer. Â She began to run, panting gasping for what air she could scavage through the intense heat. Â Soon she reached it sitting down useing the tree trunk as a prop. Â Though the shade ket her rest her tired eyes it did not keep the heat from soaking through or for the thoughts that pained her to comtinue coming. Â Acid like tears fell down her face, she was alone, alone in the heat of a desert with nothing but her own dreaful mind to turn. And to think...that is what scared her the most.</font>
<font color='#810541'>OOC: mind if I join? --------------------------------- BIC: Avia was flying over the desert, enjoying the heat thermals that kept her aloft. Â She knew that she shouldn't be here, and that she should be more careful about where she flew, but didn't care. Â The world was her's. Â She could go anywhere, or, it felt like she could. As she was scaning the earth far below her, Avia thought she saw movement. Â Huh....what idiot would be down there? She thought as she drifted towards the surface. Â Landing gracefully she saw a 'dragon sitting under the only palm tree in sight. Â The 'dragon looked half-dead and deeply troubled, which is probably the only reson Avia decided to care. "Um.....are you ok?"</font>
<font color='#348781'>OOC: Mind if I join? Sorry if this post is long and boring, I tend to make long introductions :S. BIC: <p align=justify>"I hate him..." Thought Nubajek, as he walked. Angry thoughts. He knew he should live his life and stop thinking about him. Negative thoughts would get him no where. And yet, he couldn't help himself. It was all his fault. Him. Kuentin. The oh-so-perfect Kuentin, with his good looks, his popularity, and his unnerving habit of surpassing others, making Nub feel as though he was 'a nobody'. Of course he knew he was taking all of this way too seriously. Of course he knew that if he stopped thinking about Kuentin, and if he tried harder, he could do great things. After all, the Alchemy teacher had said he was, by far, the best student he had ever had. He knew all of this, and kept reminding himself, but, though he would never admit it, Kuentin made him feel insecure. Unsure of himself. Jealous, even. He knew he should ignore his nemesis. Ironically, his whole existence seemed to revolve around Kuentin. Except for Alchemy, Kuentin was in all his classes. Not one day passed without Kuentin and his smirk. That smirk that drove Nub to madness, made him reckless, and unable to control himself. But things had changed. At least, that was what he had thought. It had all began in Zoology class. At the end of the year, the best student would be sent on a trip to the desert, to study Drakons. A chance to prove himself. A chance to get away from him. So, Nub had worked as hard as he could. And here he was. Away from all his troubles. Away from him. "So why can't I stop thinking about that semf-centered git! I should be enjoying this." And, with that, he stopped, trying to figure out where he was. He gave out a frustrated sigh when he realised that he was lost. He had been thinking too much, and hadn't been paying attention to where he was going. "It's all his fault" he thought darkly. Â He was thinking about him again ! Would this ever stop? He was lost, in the middle of the desert, alone, and with hardly any food or drink, and all he could think about was Kuentin. "I'm hopeless". Suddenly, he thoiught he heard a noise. A voice. "Goody. I'm hallucinating now." Nevertheless, he walked towards where he thought the voice had come from. "Hello?", he said, as he reached the two 'dragons. </p></font>
<font color='#000000'>Nylorac watched slowly as the dark shape in the sky grew darker and darker bigger and bigger, she thought that she was hallucinating until she heard a voice. She saw the 'dragon clearly and wiped the tears from her eyes then stood up to about the same hight as the female 'dragon. Er...ya I'm ok just lost and starvin'. she tried to smile but it didn't work well and it was simple to say that the smile was fake. It was as she was speaking that she heard a muffled 'hello' behind her. She was suprised at all the company, especially in the middle of the desert. Uh..Hi She spoke timidly wondering what else to say, she decided that the best thing to do was at least get aquainted. I..uh am Nylorac, and you are? She directed the question to both but was only staring at the female for some reason, she felt like she new her from somewhere. OOC: thanx for postin' but Im not good at leading, not very many good ideas, so you guys can start the action when ever you want.</font>
<font color='#348781'>"At least I'm not mad", thought Nub as the stranger spoke, "Unless hallucinations can talk." He sat down, regaining his composure, and stated, as cooly as possible, "My name's Nub." Having nothing better to do, he decided to study the two 'dragons that stood before him. Some might find staring rude, but Nubajek didn't quite care. He didn't have to look long to realise that the one who had spoken, Nylorac, was clearly exhausted. Reaching for his satchel, he took out his water skin, only to fund, that it was almost empty. Frowning, he held it towards her. "You look like you need a drink. Here, have some." Then, motion the both of them, he said, "Does any of you two happen to know where we are? "</font>
<font color='#000000'>This time as Nub sat down beside her and offered her what little water he had she placed a real smile pon her face. She noded gratefully and took the water. Because she didn't what to use up all Nub's water she only drank a gulp then handed it back. She looked at the female and back at Nub. I have no idea where we are, to be truthful I am quite lost myself.</font>
"I thought so." he murmured to know one in particular. He looked towards the other 'dragon expectantly, hoping she would know where they were. "How 'bout you? Lost aswell, I suppose?", Nub said, as he placed his now empty water skin in his satchel. Great. Wonderful. What will I do now? Lost in the desert, without drink or food. Well, at least he'd never have to see Kuentin again. He knew he was dramatising, but, nevertheless, he thought he might aswell get to know the two others if he was to die with them. "So, how did you get here?" He asked, addressing the both of them.
Nylorac smiled at the beginning of conversation in such a hot desert, it seemed that they were resoting on speech since there seemded no way out of this land of heat. Well I came out for adventure and well also to get away from work at the accademy, that place is so boring, I can stand it and I just have to get away sometime. I'm sorry about getting y'all stuck out here, we will probably die and it'll be my fault. She suddenly relized how pathetic she sounded and fixed her speech right. Y'all came out here for what? She held a sort of grufness in her voicec to hide the previous sorrowful sad talk.
Seeing as the other stranger wasn't replying, Nub assumed that she, too, was lost. He gave out a silent sigh and sat himself down. He wasn't disappointed, after all he hadn't expected her to know where they were... That would have been too good to be true, he thought bitterly. It's just... He couldn't help but think that he was living his last hours lost in a desert with two random strangers, when he really should have been having fun with friends and such. Like normal teenagers. He had not yet actually livedhis life. What was it they said? right, "Carpe diem". That was what he should be doing, living life to the fullest. He was too young to die... It couldn't end this way, could it? He suddenly realised how trivial the whole 'Kuentin' conflict had been. If he were to die today, then he would have wasted the two last years of his life, consumed by his own hatred and jealousy. If I ever get out of this, he promised himself, "I'll never think of him again. I'll just ignore him. What was he thinking? He wsn't going to die... He couldn't. Not now he finally realised what had been stopping him from living his life properly. Not now he had finally come to terms with himself. Though he didn't see how, he was going to get himself to the Drakon Farm, work as hard as he could there, and he would definitely not care about what Kuentin thought. Or about what anybody else thought, because this was his life, and no one's elses. Once he got back to Janardan, things would change. Smiling, he stopped thinking, listening to what Nylorac had to say. - No, please. It's my own fault if I'm lost. I think too much and don't concentrate enough. he began, a sheepish grin covering his face. You work at Janardan? He asked suddenly, taking in what she had just said. I'm a student there. I've never seen you around though. As a matter of fact, my Zoology teacher sent me here to study Drakons. I need to get to the Drakon Farm. Once again opening his satchel, he took out a worn looking parchement. A map. "I've never been good at reading these" he muttered, frowning slightly, "Perhaps you could help me? I reckon if all three of us try, we might find our way to the Farm. There we'll be able to eat and rest."
Nyclax watched him pull out the map and showed him the past they must take to get from where they were to the farm that he wanted to go to. She pulled out a compass and passed it to him. I don't know if it works but if it does it might be of use. And I am a student of the accademy. I would MUCH rather travel though, it is SO much more interesting!
A student? He'd never seen her before... But then again, he never really noticed and had very few friends. Things would change... "I agree. I just hope we get to the farm, else we might never travel again." he said, smirking. "Well, shall we go?" he asked, standing up. The sooner they got there the better. Lets hope nothing happens on the way...
Nylorac slowly stood up, though her legs protested imensly, and began to walk in the direction that they had chosen on the map. Already the sun beat hard on her back and she stoped and turned to see if the girl was coming or she was just going to stand there. They needed water but there seemed to be no indacation that water even exsisted on this desert. She highly doubted it would rain....but still there was a first chance for everything... She began to tire again and so dragged her paws across the desert floor, but shee was one of strength only at heart and lifted her paws proudly making it seem as if this was just a jolly hike up a mountain or through a green rainforest.
<font face=arial size=2><p align=justify>They had been walking for what seemed like ages and there was still no sign of the farm. Or anything, for that matter. The sand dunes went on for miles, and the sun was at it's fullest. For what had to be the hundredth time, Nub cursed his heat attracting black fur. He was beginning to lose hope and, already, negative thoughts were invading his mind. If he were to die today, would anyone notice? Would anyone care? Or would his absence go unnoticed? Looking back, he saw that only Nylorac had followed him. He was surprised to see that he could still see the other 'dragon, a dark dot in the distance. Perhaps they hadn't been walking for as long as he thought. Or maybe they were going in circles. <span style='color:royalblue'>The sun's getting to me</span>, he thought miserably. <span style='color:steelblue'>"I don't know about you, but I can't walk any further. I know we can't afford to minger too long, but I don't think I'll make it if I don't stop."</span> <span style='color:steelblue'>"Perhaps we could rest in the shade of the large dune over there, if only for a while?"</span>, he said squinting and pointing in the direction of the 'dune'. Somehow, the more he looked, the more Nubajek had the impression that there was something strange about it. For one, it was a lot larger that any other dune he'd ever seen, it was more like large hill. Another strange thing about it, was that, from where he stood, it looked oddly symmetrical. But then agaain, he had never been in a desert before, so what would he know?</p></font>
Nylorac pulled up to Nub silent at his request at first then nodded her head for her voice had left with the last high sand dune that they had crossed. she walked silent a light wind blew her fur back but it wasn't large enough to keep her sweating body cool. She dropped down in the shade not bothering to wonder how a dune brought shade, not bothering to notice the dune's strange shape. She only notice that sudden swirls of sand far down the desert, a sand storm. Large wisps of sand flew into the swirling storm. Her fearful eyes looked at Nub she had no gift for plans or imagination, she had no idea how to get away from the storm, she new they were both too tired to move on.
<p align=justify><font face=arial size=2>Squinting, Nub saw it too. One part of him was thinking, <font color=cornflowerblue>'Oh, so that's what a sand storm is like, huh? I've always wanted to see one, cool.'</font>, while the other, more responsible part of him was screaming, <font color=cornflowerblue>'You FOOL, you'd better do something or you're both going to DIE!'. </font> Though his mind was in complete turmoil, on the surface Nubajek tried to look calm, composed. Yeah, right. He was sweating, and he was pretty sure it was apparent to any in his close proximity, namely Nylorac, that he has scared. <font color=cornflowerblue>'This is so unreal. Things like this only happen in stupid fiction books.' </font> And he hadn't read one of those in years. How as it they always managed to get out of precarious situations adain? Oh, right, they just 'suddenly' saw a solution. Just like that. The answer to all their troubles suddenly appeared out of thin air. <font color=cornflowerblue>'As if that would ever happen.'</font>, thought Nub as he leaned back on the dune's oddly-shaped side. As if to prove him wrong, the wall (for he now realised it was far too solid to be a sand dune), he had been leaning on began to move. <font color=navy>"Aargh!"</font>, he screamed, as he quickly jumped away, eyes large and unbelieving. This was not happening. And yet, he felt that even if he gave himself the hardest of pinches, it would not wake him from this dream for the simple reason that he was in no dream. He was fully awake, and the wall was sliding, revealing and entry to the building. He turned to face Nylorac, slightly alarmed. Maybe he was going mad after all...
Nylorac was mumbling to herself when the wall began to shift. See, you are an idiot, you got someone in so much danger for an adventure? you ought to be hanged! No, that is yet to simple, lets see you ought to be murdered by the soul of those you have killed yes! That is a great way for y... What the? Her voice was suprised. The once pile of sand turned to a large ashy looking building with what seemed as the only entrance, a small square carved out of the burnt stone. It was big enough for only one 'dragon to fit in at the same time. They didn't have enough time to shove each other in. She looked at Nub, his face taught and had a slight madness to it, she assumed that he was thinking the same things that she was, that they were mad. It was not a normal thing to see a building pop out of the sand, in the moment of danger. Nylorac stood watching the storm get ever so much closer trying to persuade her legs to move for they were thinking the same thing as her mind, this is a dream, it is all a dream, it iss not real. But she finally over came her legs as grabbed Nub's arm pulling him towards the building. Hurry get in first! She thought it polite to let him enter into safety first since she had caused the trouble in the first place...
Nub was still trying to figure out whether he had gone completely insane or not when he suddenly felt himself being pushed backwards. Whaaa... he began, but never got to finish as he snapped his mouth shut and tried to remain balanced. Really, he tried. But failed miserably, and found himself falling down what must be stairs, judging by the way they felt. It was only when he came to a stop that he realised that he had grabbed Nylorac's paw as he fell, causing her to come crashing down with him. Not only that, she had fallen on top of him, making it extremely hard to breathe. Ugh... You alright? he said, breathlessly, eyes still closed. when he did open them, however, he was startled. On the walls were colourful paintings and drawings which went on for as a far as he could see.
Nylorac watched him enter, but was unprepared for falling down the hard steps, she ost her breath sometime on the way down and it seemed so had Nub for he talked in deep breaths. She jumbed off him, looking about the room, it was dimly lit, strange drawings on the walls. She could hear the ragging sand storm as it passed over the building. I'm fine...where are we? She new her question was useless for she was sure that he didn't know where they were either, but he might and the question merely slipped.
"No idea." he said when he finally managed to catch his breath. What was this place? A tomb, most likely, but he had never heard of anything like it. He really should have paid more attention in history class. "Well, I guess we have two options. Wait here till the storm stops, hopefully before we both die of boredom and/or of thirst/hunger. Or", here his eyes began to gleam excitedly, "We could explore the place and search for food and drink." "So, what d'you think?"
Nylorac was silent for a long moment, she wandered from one side of the wall to the other, looking at the markings hmmmm....? Oh! Well i guess we should explore, little adventure won't hurt anyone! She looked further down the corridor, it was long and dark, Do you have any sort of light? It doesn't seem like we'll be able to see anything down there. She looked back at Nub, she wanted to go on this exploration, it would be fun, as long as they didn't run into any troubles on the way...
