Hello. I've been here before; it was many years ago. No need for a refresher as I was never active enough to notice. I keep coming back to the page though, like an old friend who's Facebook profile I can't seem to keep from creeping. Well, I'm finished being creepy (in this regard, at least). I am hoping this time things will go a bit differently, as I am made of free time and yearning for creative output. LET ME TELL YOU A STORY. Oh yes, so what about me? Never mind, I'm just a ghost. I write, I draw, I haunt. I also collect things which some people find repulsive. I eat science for breakfast. And pets: I have a boyfriend who is never home and a one-legged flightless pigeon named PM ("Prime Minister"/"Poop Machine"/"Pigeon Monster"). He lives happily in my dining room. The pigeon, that is. Not the boyfriend.
Hello Ghosts, welcome to Shadowlack :) Given how much I loved your Facebook simile I very much look forward to your posts here! I also collect strange things people find repulsive. But it's usually on accident. And by collect I mean forget to throw out the things rotting in my fridge.
Fridge-mold is the best mold; great for studying, bad for breathing. I collect scavenged bones, pinned insects, and taxidermy bits and pieces. It's a good life. Thanks for the friendly welcome. I assume character creation is down at the moment? I've been reading the wiki all day and I'm getting eager to get my folks accepted as functional members of society.
I once tried to scavenge a crow skull but the friend I was with at the time said he wouldn't be my friend anymore if I touched it. I have mild regret about missing the opportunity! Yep. We recently migrated over to this new shiny forum and the kinks in character creation are still being ironed out. If you want to prepare you can get a word doc going so that everything is typed and ready to go once things open up again! A few character profiles are visible if you want to look them over to know what fields you should be ready to fill in.
A good bird skull is indeed a missed opportunity! They degrade so fast... I think I will take your advice and write up my character application so I am all set to go. I am planning to a create a sibling pair so they can have some interactions in the mean time. Story time. Activate typing fingers.

Sadly, no. Just a snatched photo; a temporary placeholder. My collection is on the other side of the country presently as I am away from home for a few months. Another reason to end the lurk-a-thon.
