Tessera (Autumn), 81378 Xavier tryed to hide from the glare of the moon. It haunted him, and burned him. He sprinted through the undergrowth, hoping to find somewhere to hide from what seemed an unatural light. He stopped then, And let out a long mournful howl. Before he transformed... The beast roamed around in the darkness of the forest, he had already claimed these trees as his own, and anything that dared tresspass in his domain would suffer the consequences...
Xela padded across the mossy forest floor, being as silent as possible. She was hungry, had been hungry for a long time. She had been wandering around searching for something interesting to do. She paused, ears twitching as she heard a large howl that carried through the night. She snarled gladdly, someone to bother, though the stubborn part of her brain said someone to bother, the tiny part of her brain that was good, said someone to be with. She pushed that thought away and ran through the trees in search of this other 'dragon in the forest with her.
A black dragon dropped to the ground a ways from where xela was, and watched as she ran off toward the strange howl he had heard just a second ago. <span style='color:red'>Not smart,</span> he whispered to himself as he lept up into the trees, jumping after the female 'dragon as fast as he could,
The beast shuffled around in the dark, quickly killing and consuming the small creatures he had found so far. his breath now smelled like rotting flesh, and Xaviers claws were smeared with blood. The beast heard a rustling in the bushes and let out a huge bellow as a young pendragon came into view. He started stomping towards her before she could move, and reached out a blood stained hand...
Thi, who had encountered Xavier in both forms before, flew down before dive bombing onto Xavier's back. She grabbed on and called down to both Del and Xela <span style='color:blue'>RUN! I'LL TRY TO DISTRACT HIM! JUST RUN!</span>
The beast roaered again and reached for his back. It couldn't reach that far, so it turned backwards and slammed it's back into the tree behind it. It continued slamming it's back, and Thi, into the tree untill Thi fell from it's back...
<span style='color:red'>Thi!</span> Del yelled, igniting his hands with a short spell, and charging the Xavier-Beast, In a blind fury, he lashed out with a roundhouse kick, and followed up with a series of rapid punches, whitch, miraculously, all missed, leaving Del open to a strike, <span style='color:red'>OH NO!</span> Was Del's only thought
The beast heard a crunch and was satisfied. He backed away from the tree and noticed the 'dragon right in front of him. he grinned, and snatched for him, attempting to raise him to his mouth...
Thi collapsed to the ground. Many of her bones broken. She wearily stood. Although blood practically dripped off her body, she slowly began to limp towards Xavier. She placed a hand on Xavier and whispered <span style='color:blue'>Xavier</span>
The beast flipped around. <span style='color:yellow'>Xaviers not in at the moment... I'll eat you and tell him you came over...</span> the beast grunted and showed a mouthful of sharp yellowish teeth, dulled by blood and pieces of rotting meat...
The Beast Turned around, Nows my chance! Del quickly spawned a large shard of ice and stabbed it into the beasts shoulder as hard as she could, and rolled along the ground to get between the beast and Thi, <span style='color:red'>What the Hall are you?</span> he said, his staff at the ready,
The beast meerly grunted and ripped the piece of ice from it's body, dripping with blood. He ignored the question and raised the icicle to spear Del in the stomach...
Thi, injured though she was, saw the icicle coming at Del. <span style='color:blue'>Del!</span> she cried before throwing herself in front of him. Her eyes stared into his as the iceicle peirced her body. <span style='color:blue'>Del.</span> she whispered as the ice below her began to stain red
The beast grinned and held the icicle up to the moon. The light filtered through it, and the beast paused, making it seem like a moment to remember. The moment was over soon though, and the beast grabbed Del with his other hand, and started lowering both of them into his mouth...
<span style='color:red'>Wait for it... Wait for it...</span> Del thought, <span style='color:red'>"NOW!"</span> He shouted, summoning a massive shard of ice in the beasts throat, growing larger by the second, He twisted and kicked the beast in the elbow, waiting for the satisfing song of breaking bones. <span style='color:red'>Thi! Thi! Get ready, he wont be disabled for more than a moment!</span> Del felt himself grow dizzy after using the powerful spell, <span style='color:red'>Ughhhhhh...</span>
The beast cringed, and swallowed hard. It dropped the two, ignoring the now bruised elbow, and clutched it's throat. It coughed once and swallowed the icicle whole. It turned to Del and wagged it's finger. <span style='color:yellow'>Poor little tasty morsel...</span> It replied, clutching it's stomach. <span style='color:yellow'>I needed a drink anyways...</span> it straightened up, and beat it's chest in a primal fashion, and sat down upon it's haunches. <span style='color:yellow'>I'll give you three to the count of 200, then I'll come and eat you.... Hide and seek, without a second round...</span> The beasts voice sounded oddly normal for having Xavier's vocal cords stretched and twisted during transformation...
<span style='color:red'>I'd hate to play games with a monster, but I get the feeling I have no choice,</span> he jogged over to Thi, <span style='color:red'>You can't walk in this condition, so I suppose,</span> He said, Scooping her up and cradling her like a child, <span style='color:red'>I'll have to carry you,</span> he broke into a run, or rather a jog, while carrying Thi, <span style='color:red'>200, 199, 198, 197, 196,</span> he counted silently, He saw ahead of him a ledge, he skidded to a stop in front of it, <span style='color:red'>Thi, do you think we could fly?</span>
Xela ran over to the wounded 'dragon and mumbled angrily at the other beast who had done this to her. <font color= "darkblue"> You all right? I might be able to stop the healing... but I'm not a healer.</font> Xela closed her eyes and mumbled a few words under her breath and slowly the bleeding stoped. <font color="darkblue"> there, that'll only last until we find somewhere to tend to her wounds properly... she ought to have a pain killer or something...</font>
<span style='color:yellow'>100.....99....98....</span> The Beast counted, childishly covering his eyes and facing a tree. He kept grinning the same grin, that made his beastal face seem like something out of a horror movie...
<span style='color:red'>Theres a ridge over there, if we fly it we could get a hour head start while that thing goes around,</span> Del said, Flapping his wings, <span style='color:red'>Lets go, she needs a healer,</span>
