Timestamp: Dyo 47, 81378 Shiden felt himself stirr form the sleep that had so blissfully claimed him last night. Nykjek was next to him, sleeping soundly and curled into the sheets. He smiled at her and shook his head, clearing his mind and suddenly remembering what day it was. His eyes changed to a even blacker color, filled with sorrow. It was his birthday... again. Not once had he ever gotten anything. it ws a day he would spend in solitude, letting his shell down and crying for all those he had slain. crying for himself, and every other pendragon who had been abandoned. He would often get drunk to drown out his sorrows on this day, letting the alcohol take him away. As he looked at nykjek again, his eyes softened, maybe, just maybe... this year would be different. However, all thoughts of that quickly vansihed as he remembered all the other years when he had thought it would be different. He swung himself out of the bed, being careful as not to wake her, then going out to the kitchen and sitting down at the table, his head in his hands.
Nykjek rumbled slightly in her bed, her arm searching for the usual warmth of her mate. Sleepy eyebrows furrowed as her paw found a cold matress where he once lay. Not wishing to open her tired eyes, she rolled onto her back sighing before the battle of waking up started. Her eyes fluttered only finally staying open on the fifth attempt, Nykjek blinked slowly a few times before swinging her legs over the end of the bed. She hot footed to the bathroom, splashing water onto her face quickly and brushing her hair into a silken tide.Leaving the bathroom with a wakful awarness, she searched for the outfit she had mentally planned before bed. Shiden had never seen her in anything above the knee - clothing wise - So she had bought a cute white dress that did exactly that. Finding it wrapped in the light blue tissue paper it had been stored in, she pulled out the dress liking the way it seemed to float in the air. Slipping the dress over her head smooting the cotton over her curves, taking a final look at herself and snatching his present from under the bed she flounced through to kitchen with a happy air about her, She would make sure he never forgot this day. But when she entered the door into the kitchen, with the Glaive behind her back her face fell. She rushed to his side, kneeling on the floor so she nuzzle under his arm. "whats wrong..." she crooned to him, licking his cheek tenderly.
<span style='color:gray'>Nothing</span> He said, turning to look at her and smiling, giving her a quizzical look as he noticed her outfit. <span style='color:gray'>Whats with the dress? I've never seen you in that one before</span> He asked, turning himself so that he could get a better look at her. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>brain dead</td></tr></table>
Nykjek didn't push it when he said there was nothing wrong, if she had learnt anything - it was that he was best left to think things over himself - at least knowing shed be there for him. But the smile - as forced as it was - made her blush, moreso as he gave her the once over with her little surprise. "its new..." Nykjek chirped, giving him a shy look. " and its to take the focus away from this!" she chiriped once again, pushing a neatly wrapped and very long pole like thing. She was seriously hoping he like it - she had seen it when she was getting the cot for the eggs to stay in, spotting it in an old weapons shop - she at least knew it was of good quality - if not better than her own... she secretly wanted it... if it had been a foot or so smaller....
<span style='color:gray'>Y-Y-you remembered my hatchday?</span> He whispered, giving her a genuine smile and unwrapping the glaive she had gotten for him. He examine it and noticed the quality of it, then putting it down at standing up, pulling her with him. <span style='color:gray'>T-this i-is the first time anyone remembered</span> He whispered, embracing her tightly and letting a few tears fall out of his eyes.
Shiden was so taken back by her present - that she was very much surprised. Why wouldnt she remeber his hatchday? He was her mate afterall. He gave such a happy smile, and when he opened his present like a kids first christmas, she giggled in a bubbly way. She soon found his reasons for being so sad earlier on and the embrace she felt herself fall into, was much needed. "there's more than just one present, we have places to go this afternoon"
<span style='color:gray'>What do you mean?</span> He asked, gently stroking her chin and pulling back. Her scent was intoxicating him, leaving him at peace. He leaned in and softly kissed her, one of his hands wrapping around her back and pulling her close while his tail entwined with hers. Reluctantly, he broke the kiss so she could answer his question, but still held her close, waiting for a response so he could have the feel of her lips on his again.
"we'r-" She began before, the gentle stroking under her chin led to a very soft, most definately breath-taking kiss. His arm around her back the closeness of the two, the way his tail wrapped around hers. She positively melted into his arms. The kiss broke away, and she found herself leaning forward, as though they were still kissing. Nykjek was silent for a moment, her eyes looking into his. She tucked her arms around his waist, wriggling closer to him. i have a trip planned... ever been to the beach?
<span style='color:gray'>Once or twice</span> He said, smiling at her and closing his eyes, enjoying the moment. <span style='color:gray'>So, did you buy a swimsuit too?</span> He asked, nuzzling her neck a little. She had remembered his birthday, and now he was going to make sure that she wanted to every other year.
So shiden had only been to the beach once or twice... and he hadn't been with her at all. Oh she just had to push him into the water, if it was the last thing she did. A cheeky grin and a glint in her eye appeared at the thought of the splash he would make. So, did you buy a swimsuit too? Actually she had bought a suit, a white bikini to say exactly what, she was sure he'd approve of it. white also seemed to be her favourite color. White cot for the eggs, white covers... even a white Harok was lopping around the house somewhere. i have a swimsuit yes.. but thats for you to see at the beach... Nykjek tapped his nose playfully with her paw, before applying a playful nip to his ears.
<span style='color:gray'>Well I'm sure it will be a treat for my eyes</span> He whispered, his hand that wasn't wrapped around her going to her ear and playing with the rings. He nuzzled her neck and smiled as tikka hopped into the kitchen, looking up at them quizzically (sp?). <span style='color:gray'>It seems tikka wants to come to the beach as well.</span> He said, resting his head on her shoulder and closing his eyes, enjoying the tight embrace that they were in.
Nykjek looked down at the harok, his nose twitching hopefully oh alright, he can come... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a truly beautiful day - the sun was shining, the waves were quirtly lapping at the shore. And most importantly - it was surprisingly deserted, save for a young couple laughing further along the beach. There was quite a pile of things with them. The eggs were wrapped up in a cozy lined basket, the harok was slumped happily over her silver shoulder. A large bag with clothes - her bikini included - and towels. and if not most importantly - the large coolbox with delicious foods and drinks for them to share. Nykjek looked over to Shiden a smile on her maw and her sunglasses hiding the glint in her eyes. She had already visited the beach a few days ago , glad to see the pre-determined spot was unoccupied. Soon everything was set down on the ground, and the huge white cloth was laid out for the pair to sit on. . Tikka the blissfully white harok was, lazing next to the basket that held their unborn children. its such a lovely day! She purred to her mate.
<span style='color:gray'>yes, but I think that you look better</span> Shiden whispered, smiling at her and giving her a peck on the lips. <span style='color:gray'>So do I get to see you in your swimsuit now? </span> He whispered, smirking at her and sitting down next to the harok, giving it a few pets on the head.
The corny but sweet line Shiden whispered, made her fur redden, as she secured the coolbox in a pothole of sand. A gentle breeze smothed through her hair leaving a rather happy grin on her face, that only widened as he hinted at her swimsuit. thats only when we go swimming she laughed, licking his nose as the kiss parted.
Shiden rolled his eyes and stepped into the water, wading in waist deep before squatting down and letting the water caress him gently, his wings sparkling with the water on them. <span style='color:gray'>I'm waiting</span> He said, smiling and laying on his back, staring up at the sky.
Mock growling at him, she ended it with a ringing laugh, before, tuckking the cover over the eggs, mumbling a spell onto the basket that first made it glow and the surround itself with a purple bubble. The eggs would be safe - and if anyone touched it she would instantly know. Finally sure that the eggs would be safe, she slunk behind a rock wit her bikini in tow, coming out minutes later with the tastfully revealing swimwear. It was white like her dress she had thrown to the sand, but left her sleek belly on show, and accentuated her curves. The dress was stuffed into the bag with the towels and other clothing sitting beside the sunning harok. Walking to the shoreline. Nykjek let the water lap at her feet, not coming in just yet.
Shiden's mouth flopped open as his eyes roamed over her body. He would give her one thing at least, she knew how to give him a birthday present. She looked so innocent, standing at the waters edge and letting it lap at her feet. <span style='color:gray'>Well, well ,well sorcress, I must say you have an excellent taste in swimwear</span> He said, eagerly waiting for her to come in.
She bit her lip as she smiled, finally letting the water drag her in further, The swimwear surprising didn't go see through as ithe water swam above her waist - much to her relief. Her paw closed Shidens jaw shut, before lingering on a lock of his hair. it was very still for a moment as she took the notion to push him into the water. Laughing merrily at the splash, as he flailed out. He would pay her back for that she was sure - but that was all the fun about beaches. a little wet are we?
<span style='color:gray'>Not as wet as you</span> He said, his tail wrapping around one of her legs and pulling it out from under her, causing her to fall backwards into the water. A small chuckle escaped his throat, watching her hair splay out on the water. He moved next to her and put his hands on her back, letting her float while he supported her. <span style='color:gray'>You look divine, sorcress</span>
Nykjek looked at him with a puzzled smile on her maw, she wasn't we- Squealing as she fell back into the water, the salt water surrounded her as she felt her body become weightless in the ocean. Large paws supported her back as she surfaced again, letting her float there without being pulled away by the current. Glancing at the basket ashore holding the eggs safely she clasped her hands laying them on her belly. why thank you.. she crooned to him her tail prodding the base of his tail gently.
