Timestamp: Mia 23 81380 Who: Vac Ooc: 15 minutes later Vac smiled holding Rasum and Bob close. Rasum was talking to Bob in his sleep. He couldn't quite make out what he was saying but, it still made him smile. He continued to follow Peiruh. His head was full of different things. He thought to himself,"<span style='color:green'>Ocean and flowery....hmm I will have to do some looking around on this one</span>."
They finally arrived at the sweet seclusion of their home. Taking Rasum and Bob, Peiruh disappeared from the decorated front patio into the home and eventually into Rasum's room. Tucking him away, she closed the door behind her biggest treasure and dropped heavily onto the sofa. I'll call her now. Her hand formed in a basic pattern, one that pretty much all 'dragons knew. It was a summoning, one calling for someone to jump through the rather advanced portals. Consequently, their own portal flickered to life, no longer barred to visiters.
Vac entered the house and sat down next to Peiruh as she went to call her sister. He put his arm around her, to try and reassure her that everything was going to be alright. He gently nuzzled her neck. "I guess we know wait to see if she responds."
Vex easily appeared through the summoned portal. Her talons clicking impatiently on the floor. Little sister this better be good... She couldn't help but glare at Vac. All he had been was trouble from the start. Peiruh gulped, got up and hugged her sister before jumping to the point. Vex, I have a five year old son and I'm engaged to marry Vac. She pulled away to disappear into the warm embrace of her fiance. Chewing her lip tentatively she looked to Vac for support and help.
Vac put his arm around Peiruh. He smiled. "Hello Vex. Would you like to sit down? As Peiruh has told you we have a 5 year old son, he is sleeping right know. We are also engaged to be married. I am perfectly aware that you cannot stand me but, I am alright with that. I can't change your mind." He looked directly at Vex as he spoke calmly to her. He kept his arm tight around Peiruh to reassure her. He just helped drop a slight bombshell on Vex and it was time to get her reaction.
Vex's face twisted into shock and then rage. Jumping at the two, she wrapped her claws around Vac's neck and growled threateningly. You just couldn't keep it wrapped up huh Vex. Just had to sleep with my LITTLE sister. She let go to turn on Peiruh, though less physically. Peiruh are you out of your mind...your barely a kid yourself. Heck...at my calculations you were 18 when you had the kid. I could just... She slammed her fist into the wall and then paced back and forth. I want to see him...now. Peiruh gasped as her sister launched herself at Vac and then tried to pry her loose. But as Vex demanded to see her nephew, Peiruh got up, grabbed her sister's hand and led her to the bedroom. He's asleep so please be quiet. She fought the tears, but in the end she lost. Ice crystals danced down her cheek and she just wished that she never had to have told Vex any of this.
Vac felt his blood boil when Vex started in on Peiruh. He quickly followed them and stopped them at Rasums door. He blocked it and leaned back against it. He looked directly into Vex's eyes. "Vex, he is your nephew but, if you expect me just to let you through this door while you are in such a rage, I cannot allow that. If you must take your anger out do so on me and not Rasum or Peiruh." He said the words in a tone that, held no signs of giving in.
Vex smiled fakely, something she always did to get her way. And it had nearly always worked. What? Do you think I'll hurt my own blood? Back off Vac or your son will wake up to his daddy's last breaths. She threatened while still smiling and then turned to her sister who was crying, as usual. Toughen up, mom would be so ashamed of you. I'm a freakin' invader into your home, your doing nothing to protect your young Peiruh. Peiruh's eyes burned with a seldom seen rage. As she threatened Vac she sliped from her sisters grasp to slap her calmly. Vex I'll show you my son, but if you threaten anyone anymore I'll see to it that you accidently ingest something that will make you feel not so great. Peiruh was good at hurt, but she was raised with pirates and theives, she did have some of that in her.
Vac raised an eyebrow. He let out a soft warning growl. The only reason he did not pin her against the wall was because Peiruh slapped her. He looked at Peiruh and immediately stepped away from the door. He didn't say a word and followed them into Rasums bedroom.
Peiruh nudged the door open softly. The squirrel and her son had slept through the emotional storm outside, thank God. Stepping quietly to the side of the bed, she brushed his bangs aside and kissed his forehead. This is Rasum...and Bob. She smiled, the rage and anger ahd melted with the face of her son. Vex tiptoed inside, for once respectful of the rules. Peering interestedly down at Rasum, she found herself smiling and mouthing an awww. He's cute. He's trouble. She wanted to clap, eager to get Rasum into her hands to train him like she knew Peiruh wouldn't. But she sensed that Peiruh had found a new strength, one that ly dormant until now.
Vac walked up behind Peiruh and wrapped his arms lightly around her waist. His facial expression softened when looking at Rasum and Bob sleeping peacefully. He turned and looked at Vex and then looked back down. He couldn't help but, smile.
In Peiruh's mind Vex had seen enough for now, and besides she figured the boy would wake up in around 30 minutes. Herding everyone out of the room, the thill disappeared into the ktichen to make some tea, a special one for her sister. It had some herb or another that calmed nerves quite nicely and even supressed aggression. Now if it would work was another thing because Vex was more then just a little agressive. Here you go...drink up. She looked at Vac, exchanging a knowing glance at him. Vex...your my sister and I love you to death and I know you don't like Vac but I still want you to come to the wedding. Vex's ears twisted on her skull as she was ordered to drink. She was wary but she did as she was told, liking the taste of the tea. Smirking, she shoved the empty cup aside and tilted her head. She recognized the herbs from an attempt that Peiruh had staged years ago. It hadn't worked then and wouldn't work now but for her sister's sake she would try. Of course I'll come to your wedding...Your my little sister Peiruh. She totally ignored Vac, it was better that way. Peiruh's prediction of the time that Rasum would awake was on time. The little boy jumped from his bed, hugging the still slumbering fur ball as she walked out into the living room to find out who this mystery voice was. Mommy? Daddy? He climbed up the sofa, to sit between his parents. The ever inquistive red eyes found his aunt and he stared unashamed at her. Who are you? The boy was quite forth right really, in that cute little kid way. Stroking Bob's head, he cuddled into his mother and looked expectantly at them for answers.
Vac sat down and leaned back against the chair. He smiled at Peiruh and glanced at the clock. He grinned as Rasum and Bob came out of there room. "Rasum, this is your Aunt Vex. She is your mommies sister." He couldn't help but, laugh as Bob ran across the table. He quickly stood up and caught Bob and sat him on his shoulder.
Peiruh smiled down at Rasum and patted his head. Bob was of little concern to her, he was a fiesty little thing but he seemed to know his place. She didn't have much to say, the bonding would have to begin without her help. Rasum stared at Vex for seconds longer and then jumped down and walked toward her, tilted his head and shook his head in disapproval. You don't look like mommy at all. Do you have children? He wanted cousins, he knew that but then most children did want to be alone. He had told his mom that once and she smiled, promising eventually he would have someone to play with. He thought perhaps he would have siblings but then again he doubted it as well. Vex smirked at the boy and shrugged her shoulders. Yea well not everyone looks the same squirt. Kids? No. I don't want them. They're only trouble. She sure knew how to make an impression.
Vac didn't say a word. He just let Rasum and Vex talk. Bob ran down his shirt and curled up on his lap. He instinctly started petting him.
Rasum didn't particularly like his aunt, and so he saw no further reason to talk with her. Walking calmly to his father's side, he plucked up Bob and went to a corner of the living room that had a little work table, an imitation of his father's. It was his tinker desk, or so he called it. Setting Bob on the surface, he grabbed a block of wood and began to place with it and some other toys. Peiruh smiled warily at her son as he left. Turning her attention back to Vex she shrugged. He'll get used to you...he's just kind of shy. Just kind of. He was shy and contradictingly blunt. Her son would a nice mystery when he grew up, Peiruh knew that instinctively. Vex snorted at the obvious rejection from her nephew. So be it. He didn't have to like her, but eventually he would warm to her, she was sure. Smirking at Peiruh she crossed her legs and cleared her throat. So when's this wedding?
Vac eyes followed his son over to his tinker table. He smiled when he carefully set Bob down up on it. He turned his attention back over to Peiruh and Vex. He spoke, choosing his words carefully,"We haven't figured that out yet. We haven't had time to discuss much of anything yet."
Vex growled heavily at Vac. I didn't ask you. But I'm leaving. You too are utterly boring with your happy-fit-into-the-stereotype lives. O and by the way...I do NOT bless this marriage. She drifted from her seat into the portal. Vex had had enough of this lovey dovey gushiness. She couldn't stand that her sister was happy and she wasn't. Peiruh breathed easy when her sister disappeared and their home portal vanished into thin air. Shuddering, she let loose a flood of tears that quickly ended. The terror was over and now the happy parts would come. I'm glad she's gone.
Vac stood up and walked over to Peiruh and raised her face gently to his. He looked deeply into her eyes, and gently kissed her. "I am glad she is gone also." He broke the kiss took her bye the hand, and walked with her over to where Rasum and Bob were playing.
Rasum watched his parents, but he didn't rush to him. He was concerned with his block of clay and his little plastic hammer. He was ferventally trying to mold it into something, he didn't know what. It was obvious he was his father's son. His eyes burned with a passion for the unknown. Bob too seemed absorbed...but in watching his friend mold clay. Peiruh closed her eyes at the kiss and then walked with him over to their son. Sometimes she worried about his absorbtion in stuff and right now she made that face all mothers make, that over worried look. Refraining from biting her lip, she took the clay from Rasum and smiled at him knowing it would upset him. Darling why don't you do something else...maybe if you play outside you'll get an idea for what you want to shape the clay into.
