<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Dyo (Spring), 81380 Day 17 Who:Vejaguems</td></tr></table> Veja was skittering around, craweling on all fours while looking for potion material. His fire spots began to glow as the light from the sky dimmed, and became harder to see. He held his hand over a beetle and grabbed it up, throwing it in a small sack made from burnt fur. He shut it and held it with his tail as he serched for more insects and plants. He grabbed a handful of grass and grabbed a bug that was eating the roots. He looked it over, a firebug type insect that he needed for the potion he was planning on. He heard a noise and shot up a tree, he looked like a spot of glowing red dots and he hid there and watched for any other takula that could be intruding. Nothing, he climbed down and was digging around some more, he scruffed up more things to work with, herbs and bugs. He also ate a few for they tasted good and he hadn't eaten since the sun was high in the sky that day. He sniffed the air, there was something much larger than him moving in the distance not even two yards away.
Dryke had been wandering through the forest, looking for a night snack. He hadn't hoped on finding anyone, only to be left alone and perhaps do some flying before the night was over. At one point he heard a sound, a kind of munching as though someone was eating something. Dryke, for a moment thought to just leave the creature alone, he had recently fed and was very hungry. But after a few moments thought he realized it might be fun to scare the creature, most likely a 'dragon judging by the heart rate. Dryke dropped low and slowly moved closer to where the sound were coming from. At one point he stepped on a dead leaf, making the slightest sound that even an old almost deaf 'dragon could hear on a silent night. He cursed himself for not being more quiet and then continued on hoping that he hadn' t scared the 'dragon away already. Dryke was right there, through the leaves he saw a 'dragon crouching low, he seemed to be looking for something and every once and a while he would put a beetle or a plant into a bag he carried by his tail. Dryke paused for only a moment out of curiousity. That damn curiousity would be the death of him. He leaned forward and somehow, clumsily fell forward tripping over the sticks and stones on the ground. He landed with a loud thump right in front of the other 'dragon who was most likely laughing like crazy.
He picked his head up and looked right into Dryke's face and hissed. He skittered back a few yards and examend the creature closely. He used one of his fire spots when he brightened it he could use it as good light. It's fur was black, and quite interesting to look at, after a moment of pondering words broke the silence, "<span style='color:darkred'>What are you doing on VejaTci tribal grounds?</span>" he hissed as all of his fire spots brightend as if to intimidate Dryke, although his size would probably prove no threat. His colors dimmed as he figured he saw it try to hold back laughter. And he aproached with caution to where his face was almost into Dryke's, he glared and hissed again, he wasn't happy, he was startled by such a pathetic excuse for a hunter. No, not hunter, to him, a nuscense. He dug through his bag and placed one of the beetles on the creature's nose, this beetle happend to bite, he used it on those takula who bothered him when he wanted to be alone. He sat down a yard away with some beetles to eat as he watched the beetle do it's job on the intruder.
IC: Dryke tryed to contain his laughter, he rarely laughed so this was somewhat knew to him. He heard the 'dragon say something about how Dryke had intruded on some tribe's land. <font color="green"> Well do you have markers up? A fence? No? Well, then how am I supposed to know this is owned land? Tell me that. </font> Dryke looked down a moment and stood up, when he looked up again the 'dragon was right near him and was holding a beetle, he placed it squarely on Dryke's nose. <font color="green">What the...? Are you insane?? </font> As he spoke Dryke swatted angrily at the insect sweeping it off his nose just in time, for it had been just about to bite down. <font color="green"> What the hell is wrong with you? I didn't know this was private property, damn it! You could have just told me to leave! </font> Dryke was advancing in on the 'dragon, wondering vaguely about the fire spots on the 'dragon's pelt but in his anger soon forgot that little detail and slowly moved forward, clearly not happy.
As the 'dragon aproached, he lit up with firew and blasted him right in the chest, not very powerful, but a warning. All his scales and colors seemed to be brightening, the scales seemed to stand out more, like an intimidation or something. He hissed at the 'dragon, he wasn't happy with the vampire he smelled all over it. His claws were ready to attack with, He was fishing out a new beetle for his attack, he ate it to make his fire stronger. "<span style='color:darkred'> Well you must have a dead nose, didn't you notice the scent markers? they were of our patrols and warriors.</span>" He snapped as he sat and waited for an attack. "<span style='color:darkred'>And by the way, the hell that is wrong with me is my size, and magic, not to mention I was thought to be both a male and female when I was born.</span>"
Dryke stood up again, furious now. He glared at the other 'dragon. <font color="green"> A dead nose? Perhaps your 'patrols and warriors' aren't pissing around enough! </font> Dryke advanced, but not too much, he knew that the other 'dragons strengths were great and Dryke, though he had his pride, doubted that he should let the other get another attack at him like the last one. Dryke laughed at what the 'dragon said next <font color="green"> Ha! I can see why your parents made that mistake! </font> Dryke had no magical powers but he still had his own strengths for battle. He took a few steps closer to the 'dragon and opened his large wings. He rose up a few feet in the air, making sure he was above the 'dragon's head. He did all this slowly but then in the blink of an eye he flew over the male and used his claws to attack the other. Once he had given the other a decent scar or two he flew back a few feet away and landed again, growling, ready for another attack from the strange other.
That just ticked him off, he had a few deep gashes near some much needed fire spots. He srung up at him with incredible power, covering the distance with ease, he then sunk his claws into Dryke's lengs and he bit down on the bit of tail he caught. He felt himself jump away as the horrid taste of vampire blood entered him mouth. He backed away sputtering. He climbed a tree and watched Dryke. He would use this spot, if any to attack. Now his problems. 1.That was one nasty tasting Vamp. 2.Fire didn't work very well considering vamps are technicly DEAD He let out another hissed and sat there. He grabbed another fire bug and threw it where it latched onto Dryke's bloody leg where it began to eat the blood, biting into Dryke at the same time.
Dryke roared with fury after the other 'dragon's attack. He looked painfully down at his leg, that would leave a scar. When Dryke looked up he saw that the other 'dragon had climbed a tree adn was looking down at him, hissing. Ha. He seems to now know that I am a vamp. At least he won't be biting any more of my type. Dryke thought with some amusement. But that feeling only lasting a second for yet again the 'dragon threw down another damn beetle. Expertly it landed right on Dryke's wound and began to suck, just like Dryke himself would normally do to others. Dryke roared again, angry that his technique was being used against him and tore the beetle off his leg squishing it in his claws. <font color="green"> Bad idea Fire Boy. </font> Dryke used his wings again rising up and quickly moving forward, he didn't go directly for the 'dragon, he went for the branch he was on slashing it with his sharp, large claws. The branch fell, as did the 'dragon, heading towards the ground at a rapid speed...
He flipped around and grabbed Dryke to keep from falling and hissed peevishly as he let go for a slower fall. He landed and hissed again, displeased. He crawled into a den that belonged to something of the local fauna. Then den reaked, but it gave him a chance to rest and recollect himself. So far this happend when he asulted an intruder, all because of his dead nose. He didn't have much to do but take a quick rest to recoop and continue to fight this menace, not wanting much damge done.
Dryke growled as the other 'dragon grabbed him but strangely, the other let go almost immediately and crawled into a small den. Dryke landed as far from the den as possible, though he made sure he could see the other 'dragon clearly. Dryke's leg ached and because of this the only fighting he could do was in the air and he couldn't possibly fly into the den where the other 'dragon was so he waited. He bent his head, his eyes flicking over to the other 'dragon every once and a while, and licked his wound clean. Dryke wasn't a healer but he knew at least the basics and tried to keep the wound clean until it could be properly bandaged. When he was done he looked over at the other dragon, panting slightly and growled weakly.
