Character: http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=858Lys Ravenglass Date: Tessera 21, 81379 Location: The Panic Room Lys closed her books and heaved a heavy sigh, rubbing her eyes. She was exhausted—straight out, flat out exhausted. There were no two ways about it. It wasn’t that her classes had been tiring, but it was more so the fact that she had gotten little sleep the night before. But it wasn’t her fault, not really, anyway. The source was here great aunt Githa and the problem was the enchantment she had put on Lys to keep Lys from visiting today. (Lys had visited her great aunt yesterday and said that she would visit again today. Obviously, Githa didn’t want that.) Apparently, from what Lys could guess, Githa put a “little to no sleep" enchantment on her. It was one of the very few spells that Lys had ever gotten nailed with. She must’ve been desperate. Hopefully, it’s just for today. I can’t go a week like this, Lys thought, a heavy yawn escaping her maw. Too bad there’s no way I could get back at her for this... She lifted her violet-pigmented hand to cover her mouth and shook her head when the yawn near ended, hoping it would have some affect on her tired state. But I guess this is the price I pay for having such a cruel sense of humor, she concluded silently, pushing her seat back and standing up. Picking up her bag, she shoved her text books and notebooks inside and, slinging the bag over her shoulder, pushed the chair back towards the desk. Maybe I should just go, anyway, just to piss her off, she wondered. But if I did that, she’d probably nail me with another enchantment. Probably one that won’t let me sleep for a month... Maybe it’s better that I leave her alone today. Lys wandered out of the classroom and into the courtyard, her feet brushing sluggishly against the ground beneath. She really needed to either (a) get to bed soon or (b) get some caffeine. Caffeine, no matter if it was due to natural causes for sleep or enchantments, could set any type of sleepiness at bay. And Lys sure couldn’t afford sleep right now. Coffee it is, then. With that, Lys set off to the Panic Room. She didn’t know if they actually sold coffee there, considering she had yet to go there, but anything with caffeine would be good right now. The walk to the Panic Room was short and soon, Lys was the door and opening it. She walked in, sitting down at the bar. “Excuse me," she began, addressing the bartender, “but do you happen to serve coffee here?" “Yeah, of course, we do!" “Really? In that case, may I please have a cup with, maybe, two shots of expresso?" Lys asked, a look of relief splayed across her tired face. The tender laughed and shook his head. “No problem. I’ll be back in a minute with your coffee." Lys sighed, resting her head on the bar top. “Fronima bless whoever invented coffee. Whoever that person may be is my hero."
who: Kaylen Avalon wearing: purple robes with hood Kaylen walked in sat down pulled out a napkin and with a snap of her finger the napkin turned into a cup of coffee. She picked up her cup took a sip and whispered ouch, note to self work on turning napkins into coffee. She pressed a finger on her lips where the coffee had just burned and winced at the touch. She pulled her hood down further trying to make sure no one noticed she was blind.
Joey walked into the panic room silently, her belly significantly larger, the child growing inside her rapidly. She didnt want to be here...but she didnt want to be anywhere else. "ugh..." sitting down at the bar she looked around at all the happy people...it made her sick. Her feet were swollen and her back ached. Not to metion lugging a growing fetus within her stomach. She could no longer hide her belly with all the clohtes she had in her closet. She had to borrow a huge sweater to cover it up as much as she could which looked riduclus on her anyways.
Slightly awkward. Sorry guys. ><; ---- It didn’t take long before Lys’ coffee was delivered. “With two shots of expresso, as requested," the tender said with a crooked smile. Lys lifted her head, giving the tender a tired smile and a nod of thanks. Her right hand curled around the holder of the mug, lifting the mug to her lips. She blew gently into the mug, its hot vapors rising and curling in a state of frenzy. She then put the mug’s rim to her lips and sipped. The liquid was still hot, but not enough to burn the roof of her mouth, which she was quite thankful for. It was usually quite common for Lys to burn her mouth when it came to hot beverages, but lately, she began to get the hang of blowing onto the liquid before downing it. (She had her Aunt Githa to thank for that—that old shrew was always giving her exceedingly hot beverages.) “Ouch!" It was the only part of the hushed sentence that Lys heard. Looking to her right, she found a pendragon cloaked in a purple robe sitting next to her. The purple-robed ‘dragon brought her hand to her lips. Lys noted the slight wince the ‘dragon gave when her fingers brushed them. Lys gave a gentle smile, saying, “Alright there? Blow on it a little before taking another sip. It’s less likely for it to burn you again." It wasn’t meant to be rude or sarcastic and hopefully, the fellow ‘dragon wouldn’t take it in such a way. Lys didn’t want the girl to feel as if she was being cocky or anything. It was just a small piece of advice, which Lys was often given herself. Just then, a young ‘dragon sat herself next to the cloaked one, groaning a little as she sat. She looked a little awkward with a large sweater covering her body. She looks more exhausted than me. Lys took another sip of her coffee. Its affects were coming on and slowly but surely, Lys felt the caffeine taking effect on her body, feeling less tired than before. Maybe I should call Aunt Githa and tell her she needs to work on her spell at little more. Lys paused. That probably wouldn't be a good idea...
Kaylen turned her head as she heard someone say to her Alright there? Blow on it a little before taking another sip. ItÂ’s less likely for it to burn you again." Oh crap. she said as her hood fell off. She thanked the lady for the advice and blew into her cup. Hmm you sound very tired. you stay up late or what? she asked the pendragon who had given her the advice. ooc: ok crappy post but best i could do
Joey looked at the people. eh....coffee. She always enjoyed it...but the child within her has changed her tastes and likes......allot. The smell made her near sick and the noise around them did no help. She closed her eyes and a wave of nausea hit her and her head felt like it was going to fall off.
Sorry for the delay, guys. ><; --- It was rather difficult to tell that the purple-cloaked 'dragon was blind. Lys almost would have never noticed it if it hadn't been the faraway look the female's eyes seemed to hold. It was something of a surprise, but it seemed nothing to get weird over. She had decided a long time ago that she would never treat someone who was phyiscally impaired like they were "special." She had seen it done by other 'dragons as she had grown up and decided it was simply... inconsiderate. When the cloaked 'dragon inquired about her present state, Lys nodded. "To be honest, I am rather tired, but the coffee's really helping. I think my aunt slipped a charm on me when I visited her yesterday. I think it was because I told her I'd see her again today... My aunt's really not one for company, especially my company. I think she rather hates me, really." Lys smiled, rather amused, when she came to that conclusion. Lys brow furrowed as she caught sight of the 'dragon behind her new acquaintance. "Excuse me for a moment, please," Lys said before rising from her stool. She walked over to the somewhat ill-looking 'dragon. "Are you alright?" she inquired gently. The girl didn't look too well at all...
Kaylen simply nodded and said hmmm you know i might be able to help you out! We could put charms on her or other things to get revenge. noticing the girls move somewhere alse she turned around and listened for who ever she was talking to to reply.
She opened her eyes at the other thill....her vision blurring quickly and then... "Splergggg" vomit...everywhere on the floor. "no.." she said shakily "not at all........s-s-sorry about your....shoes.." ooc: short post!
Lys chuckled at the cloaked female's suggestion, but her eyes remained on the plump 'dragon that she had approached. "It sounds like a wonderful idea, but I think that would leave me in a worser spot than I'm already in." Lys' brows pinched tighter together as the plump thill gave her a hazy, exhausted look before leaning over and spewing. A fair portion landing on Lys' feet. "No... Not at all. S-s-sorry about your... shoes." Lys smiled the best she would, which really wasn't that good of a smile at all. Rather, it left her looking quite like a demented and disturbed person. She looked down at her feet, shuddering subconsciously. They were coated in a thin layer of the hot, chunky liquid. "It's alright. After all, I don't wear shoes," she said finally, overcoming the shock. "How about we get you to the bathroom and clean you up a little?" she suggested, taking the plump thill's arm. "Um, we're definitely going to need a clean up over here," Lys mumbled as she slowly took a step out of the mass of vomit, trying desperately not to slip. "Would you mind helping us, please?" Lys asked the blind thill, touching her shoulder lightly, so she knew that Lys was directing the question to her.
Kaylen felt the touch on her shoulder and heard the girl ask " wold you mind helping us please?" Kaylen stood up grabbed the girl who had thrown up. She took a moment to summon her cane and began feeling her way to the bathroom. Kaylen waved her hand behind her at the girl who had thrown up and transformed the throwup into flower pettles but continued to the bathroom knowing she had'nt made it all change.
Joey closed her eyes as she began to move, leaning against the girl who dragged her into the bathroom. "uhh" when they had stopped she slowly opened her eyes to the brightly lit bathroom. She shouldnt have come here..the loud nose and the strobe lights made her sick..but she needed a night away from her dorm...his dorm...anywhere right now.
Sorry for the delay, kids, and the fact that this is a rather short post. ><; --- While Kaylen had one of Joey's arms in hand, Lys had the other, helping the plump thill to the bathroom. When they got to the restroom, Lys frowned as Joey let out another moan. The thill really shouldn't have come here if she wasn't feeling well. She should be resting, Lys thought, shaking her head slightly. "Come on, let's get you over to the sinks, so you can wash out your mouth and clean your face," Lys said, slowly shuffling Joey along to the sinks.
Kaylen felt around for the sink knob and turned it on. She grabbed a paper towel wet it and handed it to the girl who had thrown up. She reached over wet another paper towel and began cleaning the girl up.
She leaned in closer to the sink and just watched the water flow...she felt so stupid....she just wanted to die now...she wasnt going to be able to come back anytime soon...but all she wanted was a night away. She spat into the sink getting the little chunks out of her mouth then she began to drink some water then spit again just for good measure. It took herawhile but soon she was done, wiping her mouth with the paper towel handed to her. She didnt feel much better and she moved to the wall and slowly sat down with "ugh...." as she did so. "Thank you..." she said softly.
As other two thills worked on worked on cleaning the sickly one up, Lys took the opportunity to clean her feet and the hem of her jeans. It was hard to clean the barf off of her feet, but it certainly still reeked even after cleaning it with soap. Her jeans definitely needed a good washing, too. When she was finished, Lys stood back up and looked at the sick female as she hobbled over to the wall and sat down. She examined the thill for a moment before speaking. "Maybe we should take you back to your room? I'm assuming you live on campus since you're here." The question sounded more like a statement, really. Lys thought it was the best thing for a sick 'dragon, from her personal experience, anyway. Lys glanced at the blind 'dragon to see if she showed any signs of agreement or not. Or possibly a better suggestion on what to do.
Kaylen nodded in agreement. Ya when you get sick it's a good idea to lay down and rest. And if you get hungry you should eat soup. If you agree i'll happily go with you and assist you with anything you might need. She smiled and waited for a reply.
Joey nodded and closed her eyes "Yeah....can someone help me up" she said shakly. She didnt want to go to her dorm, but it was the best place to go. She had nowhere else to go. But there was something that she had completely forgotten..something she wanted to no-one to see....the insides of the dorm. The pictures of her love, Kjetta, the teacher of Janadaran. The father of her child, something not allowed in a school. Plus the fact of her being a minor. The crib in the corner of the dorm. One with the right mind could link these things together. The pictures with hearts around them, her kissing kjetta, being held by him. The crib, the childs toys, her baggy clothes. It was all linked...and she wanted to no one to know. But that wasnt on her mind right now.....
Lys stood by the sitting thill, her arms crossed, her eyes studying the sitting thill carefully. She looked tired, but didn't seem to like the idea of going back to her dorm. Still, Lys could only see it as the best thing for her. Rest was the only thing that was going to make the young thill any better, but then again, Lys didn't know there were darker forces at work. Though, unsuspecting any of those darker forces, Lys leaned over, extending her hand to the thill to help her up. --- Sorry, it's short and rather crappy. ><;
ooc: remember she is blind ic: She reached into her pocket and pulled out a bottle of pain killers noticing the girls constant groaning. She handed it over to the girl and grabbed the girl softly by the arms. Ok lead the way she told the girl who was not sick.
