  1. Zarkan stood in the warm sun, basking in its glow. He was by himself, as usual. Without many friends to call his own, he wandered to and fro by himself. Now, he simply flexed his wings, basking in the sun. Extending his wings, he took off, hovering around a single spot, then flying up into the heavens. He adored flying, he loved the adrenenlin rush he experience when he flew. Doing a couple of swoops, he yelped with glee, then diving down to the ground at tremendous speeds.. Then, in the brink of time, flapping his powerful golden wings to take to the sky again

However, he was still alone.. He could stand being alone for a while, even sometimes enjoyed being alone in his own little world.. But stiill, now and then he felt the urge to up and talk to someone... Although he may enjoy being alone, being with friends, what little he had, he enjoyed being with close friends a lot more.. Laughing and talking together, he loved it.. However, without friends of his own now.. He was alone

Maybe he thought, he should go back to the Academy and study some more, to become a journeymen...

Yes, he thought, I shall go back to the Academy...

    And away he went

  2. <span style='color:gray'>The vast rays of the warm sun continue to beat down on all below, the land, the vegitation, and yet another lone Pendragon form. This figure sits, reclined upon hind haunches, rounded feline-like ears twitching at the odd sounds that can be heard from this direction and that. Rather sensitive hearing soon picks up on the flapping of wings - there is another nearby. In flight above her.

Hearing these sounds, small shoulder blades are rolled back, in a motion that can often be seen by those blessed with wings when ready to take flight. How this petite feline based Pandragon femme would love to take flight, to soar into the heavens above, feeling the wind flow through her long and silken fur. But alas, she had never been blessed with wings. She had other traits - three small slits hidden under the thick fur on either side of her neck - gills. Of course enabling her to survive under water.

Rays of warm light still shine through the thin wisps of clouds onto the slender body of the female, reflecting off of her icey white coat. Thin stripes, in two tones of blue glimmer in the heat, seemingly moving and blending with warm fur. Striped pattern flows over her whole form, eventually ending at the base of her tail, that looks as though it has been dipped in black paint. Large and fluffy, it is often mistaken for a flame from a distance.

A light glimmer of hope shines within her at the sound of beating wings, female's head craning upwards towards the sky. Maybe she would meet this other. A friend? Someone to talk to, at least. A lock of icey white hair falls over one of her eyes, hiding it from view - though she doesn't notice. For this eye is like the other, pale blue and pupil-less. For this small and unknown Pendragon is quite unique - she is Xestri. Friendly, enthusiastic. And blind.</span>

  3. Zarkan, stretching his giant wings, soared towards the Academy... However, out of his peripheal (sp?) he saw a slightly small pendragon below him.. His keen, eagle-like eyesight soon picked out that the pendragon was female..

Somehow, Zarkan sensed something was different about this female.. As he swooped a bit closer, his eyesight for once failed him... He could detect nothing unusual about this female.. But something in his head said, no, demanded, that this was an unusual female.. Again, he swooped a bit lower.. This time, unlike last time, his eyesight prevailed.. in the exact opposite way of hers...

    He realized she was blind...

Slightly startled at this revelation, he sent out a tentative

    Um.. hello?

  4. <span style='color:gray'>
Keen hearing had detecting the airborn aprouch of the one from above, so the small feline had already prepared her self - her tiny maw equipped with a friendly smile. Oddly, her pupil-less blue optics seemed to follow his swooping movements, her sences of smell and hearing seemingly guided the gentle movement of her head.

Ears perk foreward in a swift movement at the sound of another's voice. This Pendragon blessed with the gift of flight had chosen to speak to her? Splendid. One of her species to be-friend. But, what if all of these years she had spent alone effects her social skills? What if he wouldn't accept her physical dissability? No, no. Thinking like that is too negative. Of course he wouldn't care that she's blind.

Small smile which had faded ever so slightly returns to her icey white muzzle. Maw dipping quietly in polite greeting, the feline's pale and pupil-less blue optics seem to stare into the eyes of the male, looking directly into his soul. Though some may find this threatening, Xestri seems to have a warm look about her - a friendly and gentle appearance. It would be hard to look at this petite white Pendragon and feel intimidated.

    "Why, hello there Stranger."
    </span>

  5. Zarkan felt somewhat relieved when the pendragon didn't greet his approaching with hositility of opposition. All his life he had been plagued by that, for reasons only the ones who plagued him know. He had tried to be kind, but people just sometimes pushed him beyond even his limit...

Slowing his flight dramatically, he came to a graceful halt. Folding the great golden wings behind him, he stood up straight, and walked to the pendragon. Slightly apprehensive, wanting to be accepted, was Zarkan's feeling at the moment..

Just seemed to notice you down here.. Just wanted to say how are you doing?

Words didn't come easy to Zarkan, he had to fight them out... Being a loner, he didn't have much social interaction, and this was somewhat new to him..

A light laugh emits from the throat of the feline natured Pendragon, a large gust of wind from landing wings blows her fur back slightly. Lock of purest white is blown back from her 'line of vision' for a moment, revealing yet another mysterious looking eye - palest of blues and oddly pupil-less. Within seconds though, hair falls back into place, only one slightly intimidating eye on display.

Small smile upon the female's maw grows a little in amusement. Since when do other Pendragons, especially those that could be off flying, just stop to ask how others are? Though of course, she's in no position to complain. Had she not been hoping for someone to speak to?

"Well, I'm doing fine, thank you. And your fine self, Sir?"

Indeed Xestri is a charmer - a friendly little thing, with the gift of the gab. Though she spends most of her time alone, once she starts talking to someone, and getting to know them - nothing can stop her. Always willing to talk to new people, the small Pendragon smiles once more, blind eyes blinking in obvious happiness.

Unknown to most though, the petite Pendragon that sits before Zarkan is not completely blind. Most believe that there is a third eye - a psychic eye - hidden underneath the fur, skin and skull of the forehead. Usually it is referred to for remembering things, but Xestri uses hers to get a blurred image of all she sees. When around something for so long, the image becomes clearer in her mind.

  7. Slightly startled that someone actually replied to him without hostility, Zarken paused for a minute.. His size and color usually intimidated people.. Then, Zarken remembered she was blind.. Zarken couldn't imagen being blind, his sight had always been his most precious gift. It had kept him out of many a troubles, and sometimes could even scare off some of the weaker willed opponents..

Thats good, and I'm doing fine..

Feeling the need to try to carry a conversation, Zarkan's mind raced along. He was not used to talking, rather, he used his claws to do the talking..

    ... uh ...

Zarkan mind settled on doing small talk for a bit

    Nice weather, isn't it?

  8. <span style='color:gray'>At the mention of the weather, a light chuckle emits from the petite feline's throat. Was this not a subject that people only run too when there's no other option? It seems as though a shy one has stumbled upon her. But, no matter. Company is company.

"Indeed. Quite nice weather it is. Though, a little windy.."

Pure coincidence, as she mentions the wind, a large gust blows from behind her, blowing her reasonably long icey white fur foreward, the icicle-like stripes seemingly swaying.

As the ivory fur is blown forward, three small slits can be seen on either side of her neck - only by very keen eye-sight. Gills - an odd gift that she had been blessed with. Pelt soon falls back into place again, slits that able her to breath under water hidden once more.</span>

  9. Zarkan noticed that as soon as she said it was windy, that it became windy..

(to himself) "Odd.. is she an element sorceress?"

Maybe she is... maybe I should test that hypothesis. But, he soon got distracted...As she shook her hair, his eye's picked out three small slits in her neck. Zarkan's eyes furrowed, trying to focus in on them... Gills... Gills were reasonable rare in the pendragon world, and she seemed to have three of them. Then again, being blind was also very rare. Her hair fell back into place again, and the view again. Quickly glancing away, not wanting to be staring, he gazed up at the sky..

Hmm... maybe a tad bit cold as well..

He was testing his hypothesis.. He didn't really feel all that cold.. He wanted to see if she was an elemental sorceress...

  10. <span style='color:gray'>
A light glance of amusement draw to her features, as she too directs her head up to the sky. Of course, she could not see it clearly, though there is a blurred image of it projected into her mind.

"Cold? ..I didn't think it was very cold. Though, maybe that'll change."

It was obvious that she was onto his plan - and indeed, she would have to prove his hypothesis correct. A rather curious one had stumbled upon her, so it seems. But, no matter. Perhaps her elemental socery would provide some entertainment for him? Or, at least it would make more conversation for the two of them.

Once more, the wind picks up, showing her gills - three on both sides of her neck, resulting in her having six overall. With the gust though, comes a cold chill. Sheer cold air blows about the two of them, though Xestri looks un-effected. With a light and sly smile, she 'looks' to Zarkan once more, the cold fading already.

"Maybe you're right - it does seem a little cold.."</span>

  11. Zarkan paused for a minute, observing her..

Realizing she knew that he suspected that she was a sorceress and was confirming it, he smiled. He never really had met a soceress before, being more in the tooth and claw area of expertise. Magic doesn't come into much play when you're fighting with a claw, it takes too much time to summon.. Usually

However, this female seemed to be able to control instantaneously.. Realizing that he kept on caller her she, or this female, he decided to ask her name..

Um, my names Zarkan, whats yours?

  12. <span style='color:gray'>
She smiles once more at this question, stepping one foot forward, and dipping her head in a very deep bow. Eyes close whilst her head is bowed, just as any other Pendragon would when bowing in this old-fashioned way - it's just that it would make no difference to this particular little feline.

"Why, it's indeed a pleasure to meet you, Zarkan."

She lifts her head, eyes opening, and pulls back up into her normal sitting position from the over extended bow. Odd looking optics gaze into his, as though she can see him clearly, and there is nothing wrong with her. Though of course, this can't be.

    "My name's Xestri."
    </span>

  13. Xestri... Zarkan thought.. Thats a nice name, certainly original. Then again, so was his name. He thought he rather liked the name. Bowing his head slightly as well, he said

    The pleasure is all mine..

There we go, thought Zarkan, very slick of me....

  14. <span style='color:gray'>
The small smile that lies upon Xestri's maw grows a little at this 'smooth' reply. She certainly hadn't seen it coming.. But, discarding the cheesey greeting lines the pair were giving each other, a more irritating thought etches itself into Xestri's mind. It appears that the conversation is dying already. This looks like a job for little Xestri, and her pointless conversation.

"So, what are you doing around these parts?"</span>

  15. What am I doing around these parts, Zarkan thought... What am I doing in these parts... Looking inside himself, he searched for a truthful answer...

Trying to escape reality... Zarkan trailed off...

  16. <span style='color:gray'>
    "Escape reality, hm?"

In all honesty, this particular little Pendragon femme wasn't excpecting such a deep answer, from one that once seemed quiet - yet curious, and cheesy, in a really fun way. She knew not what to say at this comment. Any slightest thing she could say, could either upset or offend, which of course is never intentional when it comes to Xestri.</span>

  17. Zarkan smiled a bit, he didn't need to dump his problems on this person

Sorry, shouldn't dump my problems on you..

    Then, as an afterthought

    What are you doing here?

  18. <span style='color:gray'>
"No no, don't worry about problem dumping. I've always liked to think of myself as a good listener."

A soft smile plays about her features, as she studies the male before her, using the images etched into her mind. He seemed caring - he didn't want to worry her. A lot weren't like that. Most would tell any one or anything their 'problems', usually in order for some attention. After a moments pondering, the feline directs her head towards the great crystaline waters of Magi Lake.

"Well, I'm here to both admire and explore the Lake. I've been here a while, and I've currently been drying off, after a swim I had an hour or so ago."</span>

  19. Ah.. swimming.. A popular repose. Zarkan smiled a bit as he pictured her swimming in his head. Is it possilbe to swim blind? Zarkan supposed it was, since she did it. And exploring? That for certained wasn't supposed to be done without eyes. Her magical abilities must be quite developed in order for her to do it?

Forgive me for asking, but do you 'see' by your magical abilities? Or do you do it someway else?

(OOC: Is it just me, or are my posts getting worse, and worse?)

  20. <span style='color:gray'>
ooc| Don't be silly, your posts are fine, dear. ^^

ic| "Well, for starters, you need not ask for forgiveness, my dear. Now, have you ever heard of the theory, that we each have a third eye? Placed in the center of our foreheads? Well, indeed, I believe that to be true. Mainly, because I can see blurred images, of what I believe to be my surroundings, in my head. The longer I am around something - the clearer it becomes.. Perhaps it is magic? To be honest, I'm as wise to my sight as you are, really."

She chuckles a little at this, for it really was true. She isn't positive as to how she sees things - she's just glad she does. For all she knows, these blurry images that she can see may not be what's really there.</span>
