Tria (Summer), 81379 Zau was out of the academy for a while, he was happy to be out with Fusajnyym hunting by the sea. His spear was in his hand as he jabbed at the odd fish. The ripples splashed out from where he poked. He caught a fish a pulled it out, he savoured his victory over the fish. "Hey, look I am getting better at this. How are you doing." Zau said to her. He had know her for ages and it was his job to look after her. ThatÂ’s why he took her out with him, they both needed a break from lessons. The sun was warm today and the bustle of the street was quiet and calm. The tranquil water was relaxing and the fish were easy to see in the clear water. It was a good day Zau thought. :)
Fusajnyym or Fusaj, as she was known by her close friends, looked up. }:I'm getting better.:{ Fusaj replied. Her line suddenly tightened, She pulled as hard as she could. }:A little help,Zau!:{ she called to him telepathically. Verbal expression had never been her strong point she preffered telepathy to speech. She pulled again her arms begging to quake under the stress of pulling the like tight. Fusaj's line wobbled again. }:Whoa... this is a big fish. Zau, Please... help now.. worry about you fish later.:{ she snapped.
He hated when she yelled inside his head. She knew he could only say very basic things in telepathy and that was mostly due to her teachings. He looked over to see her fighting a war with this fish. He almost laughed until he saw the fish faintly in the water, it was a brute. Throwing his spear onto the floor he ran towards her, hoping he would stop her from breaking her rod. Her tried to telepath it. {Hold on.... I ... co...ing} Stupid telepathy, still cant do it. He was just about to reach her anyway. :blink:
Fusajnyym, yankedon the line as hard as she could. {{You're getting better.}} she commented. All of a sudden, WHOSH! the line snapped and the stick which had been pulled taught by the struggling fish snapped back. {{OW!}} The white Pendragon girl cried as it struck her forehead. She wobbled for a moment, and then her world went black. She tubbled the short few feet into the water, and began to bob for a few seconds, and then sank beneath the surface.
Smugness filled Zau’s face when his realised she got his message. He slowed a bit, she was right he was getting better, he was forming the reply in his mind when the line broke and the stick hit her, then she fell in. He was suddenly stricken by panic as she began to sink. He knew he had to help her but what was wrong, maybe that blow to the head was worse then it looked. “Hang on Fusaj, I’m coming to save you." He almost laughed at how pathetically heroic he sounded, next he would be flying in a cape. He dived head first into the water. The cold rush of the water covering his scales. He went deep into the water from his dive and almost hit the bottom. As he turned weightlessly towards Fusaj sinking, behind her he saw a cave of some sort. Maybe later. He swam over to her and cradled her in his arms as he broke for the surface, bringing her to air. ^_^
Fusaj's mind had begun to close itself down as she sank deeping into the water's deepths. Struggling to keep herself awake, she inhaled, only to snap awake having inhaled a mouth full of water. For a moment she was completely disoriented her slowly reawakening mind attempting to piece together the fragments. {{Zau?!}} her eyes saw him outlined against the blue-whiteish surface of the lake.
He hoped to God he was not to late, she ment so much to him and he had know her for so long. He Swam faster holder her in his arms as he pulled her to the surface. Just before he reached the surface he heard her in his mind. Thank the gods she lived. He broke the surface and swam to shore holding her head above the water making sure she could breath. managed to bring her to shore and collapsed on the sand with her. The effort to swim with to people was very high, he felt exhorsted. He just hoped she was alright. :blink:
THe white fur-scales glistened in the light and Fusaj came to slowly. "What?" she said aloud her mind to overworked to even attempt speech. "Zau?!" she said sitting up right in an instant and slowly reaching for him. "Zau!?" her voice become high, terrified almost. Her mind began to piece together the sequence of events. "Thanks." she said finally. "Thank you for saving me." :)
Zau lay there at first, he wasnÂ’t the best swimmer and dragging some one out the water was not easy. He breathed in deeply getting his breath back, his chest rising and falling. His scales were all wet, no matter he was going to be a hunter some day. What was a little water. "As long as you are ok, IÂ’m ok. Are you feeling better." He panted as he spoke, steadying himself. "And besides, your welcome." He chuckled as he said this. He couldnÂ’t help but laugh at how stupid it all was. She did hit herself on the head after all. :D
Fusaj took a deep breath, as air filled her lungs and mind with fresh air, she replied. {{I'm as well as I can be. Thank you for saving me.}} she told Zau. She rubbed her forehead where the pole had made contact. {{I wonder what fish I hooked to make that happen. It must have been large.}}She smiled and peered over at Zau with curious eyes. "Maybe we should swim after the fish... chase it down, catch it and cook it."
He laughed at her enthusiasm, she was better now, "I saw the fish it was a brute, we could catch it; it cant have gone far as long as you feel up to it." he gave her a hug, "I glad your better" He walked over, picking up his spear, sticking it in the ground.
Fusaj nodded. "Fishing it is then." she said getting to her feet. She stretched out on the sand. "But first, how are your classes going?" she asked, changing subjects so she could figure out how best to capture this ellusive fish.
She silently laughed at her enthusiasm, it was a big fish and he doubted they would even see it again, after al the fuss in the water they caused. But he wouldnÂ’t spoil her fun. "Yeah my classes are going good, not long till I make apprentice, kinda odd though because its mostly girls who do they hunting but the fighting is going good." He smiled remembering his last lesson, he had won his last fight with a trip attack with his tail. It made him laugh. "How about yours." He asked curiously, she did some amazing studies.
"Well enough." she said slowly getting to her feet. Her tail brushed the sand creating a swooshing sound, like the sound of a broom against a hardwood floor. "It's telepathy I love the most." she said aloud. She grinned. {{And now you why I use it so much, I'm practicing what I've learned.}} she stretched out on the sand. {{And elemental Kensis, that's fun, and I'm beginging to gain some control of it.}}
