Day : 41st Month : Mia Year : Year 2 Anezka Ylinari trots gaily down the dirt path and up to the large iron gates. She looks inside with her mismatched eyes and ponders what to do next. Should she wait and see who comes out of the underground school, or go in a see what she finds? For the time being, this winged pendragon child sits, waits, and watches, hoping to make some new friends, seeing as how she'd be here for quite a few years while learning her trades!
Another pendragon comes up the path and notices her sitting there, looks down as the pendragon comes close to the gates then stops next to her. Sits and looks over at her out the corner of it's eye. Links with her. "What are you doing here...my lady?" Scents her slightly and looks down.
Another pendragon was near, leaning against the gates casually. He was peering through incredibly dark shades at the papers held in his forepaws. The sunglasses caught no light whatsoever, it was impossible to see the eyes beneath. He must've gotten them custom-made. The male's shifting was interrupted suddenly by a brief yawn; he was obviously very bored. Hype had begun hanging out around the Academy lately, and he wasn't sure why. Perhaps the thought that kids were typically very gullible lured him over, or maybe it was mere curiousity. He didn't care one way or another, it wasn't as if he had a home, and the smells drifting out of the cafeteria were tempting enough to make him stick around. The 'dragon froze for a split second, the way most people do when their eyes dart upwards to watch whoever may be in front of them. It was, of course, impossible to tell with him. //ooc bloody_bat, would we say that this occurs before or after the other board? rez forgot to timestamp. ^^;
Anezka looks up at the 'dragon beside her and smiles, always willing to meet someone new. And it wasn't her naivety that caused her such acceptance for her fellow kind, it was simply her personality. "Well, I came here to learn." she was stating fact, innocently, not being sarcastic. "Dunno what yet.. but something." She pauses, then holds out an creamy-white paw, with her still very childish smile, "I'm Anezka." Meanwhile, she'd caught sight of the other with the dark glasses, but he hadn't moved for a short while, so he was a causing for this young and unworldly pendragon a bit of confusion.
The 'dragon taps her paw with a brownish one, smirks and looks up at the sky suddenly and licks it's lips. "Spiral..." Sighs and scratches her neck slowly then shakes her head, opens her crystal clear eyes and looks to the one at the gates. Growls slightly.
"Hello." He seemed to blink underneath the shades, and immediatly tucked the papers away. Now advancing towards the pair, he yawned once more, fighting an urge to rub at his sleepy eyes. Peering now from the nioti to the lady, he returned a sarcastic growl, quite lazy and purposely unprovoking in nature.
Sighs and shakes her head as she looks away from him, lowers her head and closes her eyes again. Folds her ears back. "Hey there yourself, young fellow."
Anezka nods as Spiral introduces herself. The young one then watches the interaction between the older pendragons carefully. But, being friendlier than most, she, too, extends her paw to the slowly approaching male, "I'm Anezka." Her bat-like wings extending behind her in a stretch. She hadn't flown for a day or two, and they were begging for use, but she is determined now to be polite to these two. The child decides to continue the conversation by returning the question asked of her, "So what are you two doing around here?" looking between the two of them with a hopeful expression. Perhaps she'll find a teacher, which is what she came here for in the first place.
Opens her eyes and looks up at Anezka, sighs softly and walks over to the other side of her then sits again. Looks away from her and closes her eyes again. "I came to seek out information on my late living family members, the schools about this area usually holds a record on other pendragons." Rubs her eyes with her paw and walks over to the gates and falls against them, you notice that she has a limp with her left fore leg.
Hype shrugged lightly before taking her paw and shaking it daintily. "Ryans." His gaze soon shifted to Spiral, mildly curious of what she was doing here. As her answer came, he stayed silent for a moment, pondering over this, the faintest traces of a smile present upon his maw. After a short while, he replied slowly, "I'm just hanging around.. the world is my backyard."
Looks to him and smirks slightly then looks away. Relaxes against the gates as she slides down them to the ground. Licks her left forepaw and sighs. "How...have you been...Hype?"
A single brow rose from behind darkened barrier, and he wondered how she knew his first name, he had not given it. Of course, he realized. She's a female... bit unsettling, the way they prance about in people's minds, poking and prodding about. Erf... females... For a moment, he had his little bit of fun by thrusting all his concentration upon the raunchiest thought possible, but quickly quit at it when he noticed that the little one was a femme too. "I've..." he started, vocals oozing with laziness, "...been around. Recently got back. It's nice, I suppose." Then, he turned his attention on Anezka, not wanting to exclude her in the conversation. "Hey, what are you studying for?" His inquiry lacked the sweet, patient tone that most folks donned when they were politely making conversation with youngun's, and expecting some ridiculously childish response. Rather, he sounded dead serious, perhaps with a trace of mild curiousity.
Anezka nods at the information given, and stares a little at the older female.. she'd seen her.. somewhere.. But her attention is moved back to the male, Hype, or Ryans, or whatever his preferred name was, "I dunno yet. Some.. um.. friends.. say I'm quite a scrapper.." she looks slightly ashamed. Her flash temper was well known where she came from, nearer the Swaraj jungles, but not here. It was clear, however, it's not her so called "friends" who considered her a danger. She fiddles with the dirt in front of her with a finger nail, drawing loops and swirls, "I'm also not that bad at getting out of places.." a pause, "I've been told I'm not that bad with magic, either!" this time she sounded excited, like she'd accomplished something honorable, rather than her other abilities of fighting and flight. The 800 year old niotie shrugs with that bubbly smile of hers, "I figured coming here was best because someone might be able to help me learn. Whatever it is I'm going to learn. So, here I am!"
Laughs slightly and drags her paw along the ground cutting into it, looks over to her and glares slightly. Looks down at the busted earth that she did with her paw. Draws back her paw and smrks. "Do you...really think that magic can save anyone...?"
Anezka watches as the older pendragon dig a bit in the dirt, and glares a little in her direction. Anezka being a cheerful soul, was a bit confused, but she attempted to answer the admittedly serious question posed by the adult. "I.. I think it can.. maybe. I think maybe it depends on who uses it and what type of spell it is.." she racks her memory banks for some relevent back up.. Her ears perk and she gets excited, "Yeah! Yeah, I think some magic can help! I remember being really little," she shows just how little by holding her paw off the ground about two feet, "I tripped and ripped a hole in my wing, and this nice healer made me feel better." she fluidly extends her right wing and looks to the soft skin between the first and second finger, smiling happily, "No scar!" Of course, being as young as she was, the entire subtle meaning of the adult's question had gone right over her head. But she tried!
Hype nodded, adding, "Sure it can," with barely a glance in their direction. At the moment, his gaze seemed to be fixed on the sky, as that was the general tilt of his head, brows furrowed a bit in thought. "Good at getting out of things, eh...? Like an escape artist? What a coincidence, my kid sister is the same way." In reality, he had never met his sister... He had only seen photos and heard things about her in his family's letters.. or rather, letter. He had long since thrown it away, not caring much for his relatives, yet that memory had suddenly sprung up again at this moment. Hype wondered, idly, why...
Listens to him then looks up to the sky as well, doesn't really notice anything then looks back to him slowly. Smirks slightly. "What are you looking at graceful...Hype...?"
Anezka smiles shyly, "Well, I dunno if I'm that good.. but.. but I could definitely get better!" So determined to prove her worth, this little one is. She watches him glaze over, and would read his mind, but she felt that was wrong. She also felt inferior, and not capable of doing it right, but that was another matter, entirely. All past experiences with her peers had caused her to feel a bit inferior, especially because of her diminished size at her age. Glangly legs and too-big wings, that she'd hopefully grow into, plus messy brown hair, which always stood in every direction.
"Nothing... I was thinking." He shrugged lightly, followed by a mildly puzzled glance in her direction. "Graceful...?" He then looked over at Anezka with the slightest upward twitch of his lips. "I'm sure you will, kiddo. How old are you, anyways? 500 or 600?" It might've ben she /was/ small, or that he was merely ignorant of the norm for niotis. But his small, crippled wings did look especially little next to her largish ones. Hype ignored this.
Anezka giggles, and sucks in a breath, which puffs out her chest to make her look a bit bigger - goofier - but bigger, "I'm 800! Won't be all that long 'til I'm 900! I count the days." she nods solemnly, but still smiling brightly, and likely contagiously. She had that effect at times. At other times, the effect was to unintentionally annoy.
