4 Dyo 81382 Mournbringer turned. The annoying thief child had returned, but this time he was not alone. A low ranking priestess and two of her personal guards were moving towards Mournbringer. The child was ranting and cursing calling for the old Takulas blood and/or death. Mournbringer reached into a pouch and pulled out a small flint and steel in one hand and a small rolled leaf in the other. With the flint and steel he lit the end of the leaf. As the leaf was consumed thick gray smoke filled the area. Mournbringer bolted for the gate. Crashing through other crowds of Takulas, Mournbringer was finally out of the gate and into the jungle. After a few minutes Mournbringer slowed then stopped. Listening for signs of persuit he sighed in relief when he heard none. Although still in good shape Mournbringers age and habits have been catching up with him. With a tree at his back Mournbringer slid down until he was sitting. From the sack he wore strapped to his back Mournbringer pulled three small leaf bundles and a small stone morter and pesdal. He then untied the bundles and unfolded each leaf. From one bundle he pulled a tail bulb from a swamp snapper. The bulb held a mild poison. Mournbringer carefully squeezed out four drops and replaced the bulb. From the second he pulled the small, vein thin roots of a murk creeper. With the poison and roots mixed he proceeded to grind them together until they made a thin yellow brown paste. Once that was done he pulled a small tuft of thick, spongy moss from the final bundle. With the moss he absorbed the paste and then placed the whole sponge in his mouth. Mournbringer chewed contently for a few moments letting the calm, sedate feeling tinkle through his body. Few knew of this uncommon combination but to those that did the narcotic feeling was treasure enough to keep it to themselves. With this euphoric feeling passing through his blood Mournbringer stood and continued his travels. Making his way to Terhesian Port.
