Timestamp: Day: 28th Month: Tria Year: 81378 A young red pendragon stood in the middle of the Uhai desert. His golden wings were folded tightly against his body while he stayed as low to the ground as possible. His bright blue eyes were closed because of the fierce biting winds and the sandstorms. Visibilty was low and he had lost his pack of items during the night. The wnd picked up stiring the sand around even more.
Vlun stumbled aimlessly around in the dust storm. Why he was here, was a mystery to even him. A good vacation spot maybe? His long ears were flopped down, sheilding his eyes from the sand that saught to penetrate them. His long back limbs were pelted with the tiny specks and it felt like someone had taken a belt sander to his legs. He let out a groan, letting a mouthfull of durt in. He coughed violently and spit it out. His rust red fur started to adapt the color of the sand as it nestled in his fur. He stumbled on, trying to find a way out of this mess, when suddenly he tripped over something. He fell face first into the soft ground and laid there a moment in a slight state of bliss. Ah much better. He though. Then he remembered he had tripped over something. He turned to see what it was, but the sand blinded him. It could have just been a rock for all he could tell. "Hello there!" He said, hoping that it had not in fact been a rock.
Poor Tsuj lifted his head slightly. His side hurt for someone had stumbled into him. He saw no one but heard them call out: Hello there. Tsuj tried to see them. But couldn't so he responded Hello? Can you help me. This poor frightened youngster's voice shook with fear. He wasn't sure if the thing that had stumbled over him could have been one of those vicious desert monsters he heard so much about
Vlun was actualy astonished to hear a voice reply back. Of all the things to trip over it had to be the one living thing. He inched his way toward what he now reconized to be a small pendragon. He moved towards him, doing his best to keep his face in the ground for sand in his mouth was better than sand in his eyes. "Well I can't change the weather." He said, using his humor at once again a compleately inapropriate time. "But I will wait here with you till the sand stops movin'." This was a little abvious, for where was he going to go? All directions pretty muche looked the same when he could actualy get his eyes open long enough to see anything. He laid himself down upwind of the younger pendragon, hoping it would help at least a little.
Tsuj blinked a small amount of sand out of his eyes as the older pendragon lay near him. He looked up at the new pendragon and smiled happily. The wind began to di down but visibitity was still low.
Vlun smiled back. He laid there next to the young pendragon until the sands started to rest upon the ground once more. Vlun looked up from underneath his long ears. He looked around suspitiously as if all of a sudden the winds would start once more at the sight of him. He stood up and shook the sand from his fur, returning it to its natural dark red. His long ears flopped down behind his head, and his regular "rabbit" like appearance was restored. He let out a groan and s treach then offered his paw to the small pendragon who was still on the ground. "The winds have died down enough I think." He said cheerfully.
Tsuj took the elder pendragons extended paw. He shook sand out of his fur as well and reached to his side to get something from his pack. His eyes suddenly widened as he noticed his pack was no longer there. He groaned also. -Oh, no!-
"What is it?" He said, looking down at the other pendragon. He looked up at the sky, and tried to esablish their location, but his attempt did not help exept in establishing that they were indeed under the sun. He sighed and looked back at the smaller being next to him. For now he had better stay with this guy, nothing good could come from going out by his own, and of course how would he live with himself. He shook some sand out of his ears. "Did you loose something?" He said casualy, thinking it would be just some toy or something, nothing of great importance that he had lost. Besides there was an awful lot of misplaced dirt around.
-Yes- Tsuj said with a slight whine. -I lost my pack. It has everything I own in that little container.-
Vlun's eyes widened. Oh no no no...no. His spirits were shatered. He looked around him, seing the same sight from horizon to horizon. Sand, tons and tons of sand, and what did they need to find? Something that most certainly was not sand. He let out a frustraged groan. He looked at the young pendragon. "Ok...well we have to get to work looking for it Ii guess." He said it reluctantly, his vacation spot and he was parched dry, sandy and looking for a needle in a haystack. He started to dig around where he ploped down on the soft sand and started digging unenthusiasticaly for the backpack.
Tsuj tapped Vlun on the shoulder and sighed -It wouldn't be here- he said sadly. -I'll just get somemore stuff when I get out of here- If I ever get out of here he thought. Tsuj looked everyway to see if there might be a way out somewhere. He licked his lips hoping to find maybe a drop of sweat to drink. His parched throat made his words sound hoarse and raspy.
Vlun looked up with a slight pressence of joy in his face. Now all we have to do is find a way out of here! He thought happily. Then his spirits dropped once again as he looked around. He cursed under his breath. "Well. You got the wings. Can you go up and see if there is a way out of here or somethin'?" He said hopefully. He noted the sound of the young pendragon's voice. He found himself desparately hoping for rain. I wish I knew that rain dance people always talk about. He played a scene in his mind where he got down on his knees and said. "OH MIGHTY WATER RAIN GOD PERSON! SPARE US POOR SOULS, WE HAVE DONE NO HARM!" And with that a bolt of lightning came down and hit him square in the eyes. He decided it was best not to fulfill this fantasy, the gods most likely did not really hold him in their favor at the moment.
((OOC: Hope y'all don't mind if I join in. If no one wants poor lil' me in here, I'll just get rid of my post. *pouts*)) Lazy wingbeats thwumped high above the desert sands. It was always nice to fly above deserts in the day. The thermals were always so lovely. Tael looked at the brown and gold of the desert below him. "I spy with my little eye something that is.... yellow," he muttered to himself. That was the one bad thing about flying over places like this; if you didn't know how to navigate, there weren't many landmarks to find your way by. A little satchel hung around his neck and over one wing, a clip fastening the belt somewhere around his chest. Water, maps, some dried strips of meat, a compass, and his trusty camera were all seated comfortably in his pack. The 'dragon continued to gaze down, "Sand... sand... sand... spots?" Taking another long flap of his wings, Tael squinted down. "Well look at that, there's someone out here in the middle of nowhere. Maybe I'll go see if they need help... I should rest anyway." It sounded like a good plan so long as he got moving again soon. He wanted to get out of here before nightfall. Circling slowly downward, Tael finally landed, displacing some sand from the top of a dune as he did so. He padded over, the sand uncomfortably hot under his paws. He did his best to keep his wings out of the sand, but it wasn't working. They'd probably be itchy later. "Hallo," Tael said with a smile which soon faded. These were just kids. "You all need some help?"
((OOC: I don't mind. ^_^) Vlun heard the flap of wings echo in his large ears. He looked up and not far above the two was another pendragon. He ran over to Tsuj and hugged him and started dancing and trying to point up at the same time. "WE ARE SAVED!!!" High spirits once again settled in Vlun. He let go of Tsuj and started dancing in the sand untill the stranger was down near them. Vlun smiled at this newcomer. "Help would certainly be nice." He said with a grin. It was all he could do to keep from continueing his dance. The rescuer dance seems to be more effective any how. He thought to himself. Soon he would be out of this mess and back to...well another equaly anoying mess, the school. Why can't Ii just have one nice day? He thought. He decided it was best not to leave himself alone with his thoughts "I am Vlun. And who might you be?"
Ooc: *waves* HILO! Welcome much thanks. IC: Tsuj gasped in Vlun's tight embrace. He looked up to the other pendragon and flapped his wings slightly. When the other pendragon settled, he ran over and started rummaging through their pack.
Tael quirked an eyebrow, looking down at the younger 'dragon going through his things. He decided to let him continue for the time being and returned his gaze to Vlun. "I'm Tael..." He looked back to Tsujand then Vlun again. "What are you all doing out here alone? It's not exactly safe." His feathers rustled slightly in the wind, but it was the sand that was getting to him. Hundreds of tiny grains would be hidden among the plumes by the time he got out of the desert. Squinting, he lowered the goggles on his forehead over his eyes. Much better... Still, now he was responsible for two kids who probably had a knack for getting in trouble. "There's water in there if you need it," he informed Tsuj, starting to feel slightly uncomfortable.
Tsuj smiled up at him -Thanks- his raspy voice squeaked. He grabbed the water and a peice of drid meat before plopping his but on the ground and eating and drinking it.
Vlun smiled and sat down on the ground, getting tired from all his idiotic danceing. "Well I don't know exactly. I'm on vacation." He gestured toward the endless amount of sand around them as if to say it was a prime choice. He grinnined. He gestured toward the other pendragon. "I sorta stumbled over this little dude out here." He said with another grin. He looked over at Tsuj and a frown passed his face. He got up and walked over to where the small pendragon was and sat down beside him. He held out his paw. "Care to share?" He said with a grin, eyeing the meat in his hands.
((OOC: My dad is gong cleaning crazy... I may not reply for a bit.)) Tael sort of snorted, perhaps it was an ugly thing to do, but he did it anyway. "Ration that..." he mumbled, looking at them. Pondering, he ran a paw through his hair and looked them over. They seemed healthy enough. "You wouldn't happen to have a place to stay on this vacation would you? ...I would have picked a lake or a beach... To each his own I suppose." How was he going to get these two to a safe location without hurting their pride? "You boys don't mind escorting me out of this desert do you? Sand irritates my feathers." Tael flapped them lightly to gesticulate.
