Tria 28th 12:30(I'm new so if I screw anything up don't get to mad) Dewlap looked around, she was lost, she was trying to find where they were having the Notek Festival, she sat down "I feel like dancing" she grumbled. Suddenly she heard music, she looked around a big rock, she was looking at the Notek Festival "I'm there" she said relieved
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td> Who: http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=17Cilea Fin</a> </td></tr></table> Cilea had been having a good time since the rocky start off of her first day at the festival, but she didnÂ’t let that get her down. She was back today and ready to enjoy more music and activities. She had been taken a break from the large crowd around the band playing on stage and had gone off to get herself a cold drink. Looking around towards the jungle and camp sites, she noticed a head poking out from around a large stone on the edge of the field. She was tempted to go over and talk to the stranger who was so far away from the fun, but over time many people had said that she was overly friendly at times, so today she justed waved and smiled at the other female. If the stranger felt like company she would come over, there was no need for Cilea to start a conversation with everyone she met. Or at least that was what she had been told.
She noticed Cilea and didn't want to be rude so she walked over when she got to Cilea(Fighting through some people), she smiled back and said"Hi,My name is Dewlap, whats yours?"
Cilea was a little surprised by the stranger’s quick approach. Well she wasn’t a complete stranger; she said her name was Dewlap. Cilea was quick to smile and offer her own name. <span style='color:green'>“Name’s Cilea. Are you here for the festival?"</span> She ran her hand through her bright green hair as she took a look around at the crowds of people who showed up for the festival.
"Yeah, I'm here for the festival, I love to dance when I get the chance" she replied, she looked around "It's my first time here, I heard they would have music so I came" She looked at everybody at the stage "Don't some really popular bands come?" she asked
Cilea nodded enthusiastically, she had practically memorized the line up and shows off the list that was posted at random areas in the field. <span style='color:green'>“Oh yes, but most of the big bands don’t play till the last day. Today is karaoke night, it’s always a laugh. I saw it last year."</span> The current band had been pretty quite but was starting to pick up the pace. Cilea’s large ears perked at the familiar tune, it was catchy with an easy beat. <span style='color:green'>“If you love to dance you’ve come to the right place. If you go in closer there’s usually a large group of pendragons just dancing around."</span>
She grinned "Oh I'll love to see that, karaoke, I don't like to sing much because once you get me singing, I won't stop untill I run out of lyrics, "she held back a laugh "and sometimes the lyrics are the strangest words." She looked back over at the stage and noticed the dancing pendragons "From here it looks like those pendragons are on hot coals"
Cilea let out a small chuckle at the comment about the hot coals, mainly because it was true. The rhythm of the music had picked up and everyone near the stage had gotten to their feat and where participating. It made her smile that so many ‘dragons could be in one place without fights braking out. Well without any overly large fights. <span style='color:green'>“You’ll get a chance to laugh at me then, later during karaoke. I didn’t have the guts to do it last year so I’m dying to go up now. I however can’t grantee any sort of good vocals."</span> She noticed Dewlap watching the crowd of pendragons. <span style='color:green'>“Would you like to join them?"</span> Cilea didn’t know if she would want to dance with the large group, though she had mentioned her love for dancing.
She looked at Cilea, "So you are trying karaoke?Well best of luck"she said smiling "I'll join the dancers in a bit"she said looking at them"Sometimes I don't like to be watched while dancing, cause it feels strange to be watched sometimes it throws you off."
She grinned at her companion, nodding to meant to participate in the karaoke competition. <span style='color:green'>“Thanks, I’ll need the luck. Not to win of course, just to not make a fool of myself. I could never dream of winning. There are some real pros that par take in it."</span> She glanced from Dewlap to the people in the crowd. <span style='color:green'>“I understand what you mean. I used to be shy about dancing with other people around. But then it just didn’t feel strange after a while. I’ll wait with you until your ready to go out there."</span> She jerked her head in the direction of the crowd. She quickly glanced around for a garbage can; she had finished sipping her drink during the conversation. She spotted one not far, quickly ran over and threw it in to the already almost full bin then dashed pack over to Dewlap. <span style='color:green'>“I’m sorry I should have offered you some of that. Would you like a drink or something?"</span> She had forgotten that this wasn’t her house or something but being in front of new ‘dragons seemed to put her in hostess mode.
"It's nothing, I could never hope to win either" she said"I ike to sing, but not to win" "Well whenyou've been dancing most of your life it's fine... most of the time, my friends used to tease me, say ing dancing wasn't my thing"she looked down"I ignored them" She looked back up"Water would be nice, but i can get it myself"she said "This isn't a house and you're not a maid."she said with a grin "No offense though"
She let a small laugh escape her, thinking back to last years karaoke. <span style='color:green'>“Yeah, singing is too much fun to have it be a competition. It’s really great to see ‘dragons who know they don’t have a singing voice still go up there because it’s what they enjoy doing."</span> When she mentioned that her friends had tried to discourage her, she felt sorry for Dewlap. She knew what it felt like to not have someone supporting her. <span style='color:green'>“It’s a good thing you didn’t listen to them. I had to keep any sort of musical activity to myself until I was 16."</span> Her parents had disapproved of any type of music that wasn’t classical. She shrugged. <span style='color:green'>“Sorry, old habit are hard to get rid off."</span> Thinking of her old habits made her think of home. <span style='color:green'>“So where ya from? Not too far if you walked here, right?"</span> It had appeared that Dewlap had walked here, since she hadn’t come from the direction of the main teleporter. Then again she could have just been taking the long way around.
She let out a laugh"You won't want to hear me sing, I'll pick a random tune, and sing, sometimes it's good, sometimes not" "I tried to keep to myself, but my now so-called friends tracked me down, thats why I practiced with privet lessons from a friend of my hypnotism teacher"she said"I worked around the nieghborhood just to keep enough money to take the lessons" "Ah habits are hard to get rid of, I have a habit of muttering insults, I used them on they bullys"She looked around "I walked and flew, flying keeps my skills up, and it keeps me in shape, i could use the teleporter, but they get so popular at times like this festival, and i hate to say, I hate small spaces, being crammed in, and being surrunded by millions of people"
She grinned. <span style='color:green'>"Ah, but I think your in a place right now where no matter what tune you were to sing, you would have 10 pendragons joining in."</span> Well she didn’t know if that was true, but there was a fairly good chance. Her eye brows rose slightly at the comment of a hypnotism teacher. <span style='color:green'>“You can hypnotize people? Do you use something on a string or those black and white pictures?"</span> She realized then that she had changed the whole subject of the conversation right around .<span style='color:green'>“Sorry, I’ve never known someone who was a hypnotist."</span> She nodded to the comment about the teleporters, sometimes it’s better to find your own way to where you want to go if your in no mood to deal with other people. And if the teleporter were to have any sort of problem, you could be waiting for a way time. <span style='color:green'>“I can even be claustrophobic at times, and I like most people."</span>
"I'll try next year on singing"she said"It would be embarassing to have others singing to my random song" She let out a chuckle"Ah it's ok, alot of people are suprised with my skills"she let out annother small chuckle "and no I do not use string items, or pictures, I use mind spells, it takes years to learn that hypnotism" "The funny part is, it took me two weeks to get here, I lost my way a few times" She laughed
Cilea shrugged.<span style='color:green'>“Embarrassing? Nah, it’s just something you have to get used to."</span> Cilea had never had too many problems with being embarrassed, maybe it was because she enjoy being in front of a large crowd, most of the time she would just laugh anything off. Because if you can’t laugh at yourself, you shouldn’t laugh at others. <span style='color:green'>“Mind spells, cool. Do you enjoy it? ‘Cause the only magic I have is with electricity and it can be unpredictable at times which can be worrisome."</span> She knew that she should spend more time trying to learn control over her power but she had always found music more amusing then magic. Maybe when she went back to school she would find a teacher. <span style='color:green'>“Two weeks? Wow, that’s a big part of our Tria brake. Well that is if you go to school still."</span> She tried to guess Dewlap’s age but she had never been good a guessing ages, she could tell however that she was older then herself at least by a few years.
"I was never the public type"she said"Bacause I always got laughed at, I was never a proper dancer, I taught myself by watching the nieghborhood dancers" "I only use my hypnotism to defend myself, sometimes for hunting, I had to do so on my way or would have starved"She added with a sigh"And I really do hate killing" "No, I stopped going to school a year ago, my teachers said I could master the rest, they were slightly wrong"She looked down"A day after that I killed someone, one of the nieghborhood bullies, he was picking on a little girl, I used a spell to make him think he was a bird, it was only supposed to last a few seconds so the girl could get away..." she took a deep breath holding back from crying "But insted it lasted 10 minutes, it could have lasted longer but... he jumped of one off the trees in the schoolyard and, broke his neck" her ears lay flat, a sign of both embarasment and sadness "it was the last time anyone from my village saw me, the day the boy killed himself, and I was right there next to his body"
Cilea listen to Dewlap’s talk about her skill, and nodded when she mentioned that she had to hunt on the way here to eat. Cilea had always stuck to cities and had never had to be put in a situation where she had to catch her own food, but she understood that sometimes ‘dragons lived by the rules of ‘eat or be eaten’. When she had finished her story Cilea was silent with shock. She had never spoken to anyone who had killed any one before; she didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want to hold this against her, by the sounds of it, it was an accident. And she liked talking to Dewlap; she was one of the kinds of people she had hoped to meet here. <span style='color:green'>“I’m sorry."</span> It was all she could say, finding herself in a rare silence.
"It has troubled me"she said, "I never returned to my home, I only wrote letters to my mother" She looked around"You know, now that I think about it"she said"There are less pendragons then I thought"she had tried to change the subject, she hoped it worked.
She nodded again, of course it would trouble her. If it didn’t she would be almost considered a cold blooded killer. And even though she had only known Dewlap for that last couple minutes she couldn’t see that in her. Noticing the attempt to change the subject she jumped on it. <span style='color:green'>“Oh, that’s mostly because lots of people don’t show up till it starts to get dark out. It’s when the big crowds start to roll in."</span>
