<table class=ooc><tr><td>Welcome to the second flitter show.

First thing I need to go over is how this will be working. Instead of having a strict posting order, we’ll be running on a ‘Class at once’ order. I post as the judge, and then the various members of the class make their posts (Including the Catalog # for their entry before it in Italics) and once all entries are posted, I’ll judge the class and we’ll move on to the next.

Pretty simple, and IÂ’ll move faster than waiting for a posting order.

    Turrush & Fez – 01:
Turrush grinned proudly. He was exhibiting at the second Flitter BreederÂ’s Society show heÂ’d ever managed to get to. They didnÂ’t normally come very close to him old home. That was what he got for being born out in the middle of nowhere. He reached in and removed Fez from a small travel box, placing the albino in his exhibit cage. The albino was flawlessly clean, as was normal for the animal, and there was little Turrush could do to make him look better.

    Turrush & Timber – 02:
With care, Turrush drew his small red flitter from her travel box. She never shipped well, and it showed in her ruffled feathers and disheveled manner. He started to carefully smooth and organize the feathers. And after a bit, he drew a spray bottle from his pack and misted the little bird. After she shook herself dry, she gleamed with pure crimson feathers.

    Turrush & Cannon – 03:
The little yellow bird was the one that Turrush had the highest hopes for. She had charmed the judge of the last show and had been named best in her category. With luck, this judge would find her just as appealing. Her canary yellow feathers were flawless out of the travel box, and he didnÂ’t bother giving her any help. Why bother when she was doing just fine all on her own?

    NPC Judge Venyes Gimbrel:
Venyes was pleased with the turnout of the show. Many excellent birds where entered, and he would have a challenging time judging this show. He walked through the benches where the Solid Primary birds were setup. The Bird all looked ready for the show, but one stood out in his mind. He turned to where the Owners were standing. "Best of Solid Primary, Turrush SjoahaujsÂ’ Fez." He pinned the blue ribbon to the albino birdÂ’s cage.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Next category: Solid Secondary/Tertiary. Entrants should RP their entries.</td></tr></table>
    Turrush & Carden – 02:
Turrush was pleased with how well the little first time competitor had traveled. Carden had been a bird heÂ’d traded for, with uncommon tan plumage that had been bred from pastel birds. He checked over the feathers, noticing no ruffling or dust on them, and placed the bird in itÂ’s exhibit cage. The tan color itself was smooth and pure, though nothing that looks particularly eye-catching. With luck, the judge would notice the little bird.

  2. Thi and Camelot 2

Thi smoothed her little birds feathers making sure he was looking good and perfect. She saw her teacher and waved happily. She saw as well that he had entred his little tan bird in the judging. She set Camelot on his cage and went to prepare her other birds.

<table class=ooc><tr><td><span style='color:gray'>I'll put my pastel entries in this post as well. Suffering from natural distaster *cough* hurricane Frances *cough* i'm trying to get it in b4 i lose power</span></td></tr></table>

    Thi and Bupa 2

Thi smoothed her previous champions feathers. She nuzzled her small bird and smiled before placing him back in the cage for the next judging

    Thi and Tom 3

Tom, her best bird for breeding was entred in the contestas well. Thi did a preempitory smoothing of Tom's feathers before placing her in her cage as well.

    Thi and Valas 4

Thi's first bird Valas was getting kind of old. He had lost the shine in his feathers and she wasn't sure if he would make it between these other younger birds.

    Thi and Ferun 5

Ferun had been introduced to one of her teachers birds but she stil had shown no signs of having been paired off. Ferun shook her body requiring Thi to smooth her feathers even more.

    Thi and Camek 6

Camek had fallen asleep while being transported here and was currently still napping in his cage. Thi reached a gentle hand in and smoothed his feathers without waking him.

  3. <font color=darkolivegreen><blockquote>Yin & Rjepqas

Rjepqas was nervous. Yin could see it in the bird's eyes and sense it in the way that her little flitter's wings ruffled in an agitated fashion. The Sunhawk reached out with soothing fingers and ran them gently across the avian's wings, cooing gently to the little wreck, as if that would fix the teal's trouble. To the surprise of others, perhaps, it did. As the tribal 'dragon ran her fingers across the flitter to check for abnormal lumps or anything out of place, she was regarded with calm, docile eyes. So the bird had decided to shape up. That was good. Probably just first time jitters. Yin smiled encouragingly, spraying a mist across her bird's back. With a light cloth, she gently rubbed the moisture in, helping the feathers to retain more of their natural gleam. The female 'dragon finished by running that same cloth over the taloned feet of her bird, working the moisture into the scaled claws, easily slipping into the slight grooves and making the Teal all the more relaxed. Good. Now all they had to do was wait. Both were ready and confident.

  4. NPC Judge Venyes Gimbrel:
Venyes scaned the Secondary/Tertiary class. They were all excellent birds, and he couldnÂ’t spot any that were disqualifications. He was Surprised by the number of tans that had shown up, as most breeders found them to be drab and uninteresting in coloration. He was especially impressed by a teal by a new breeder. He may never have seen either name in the Society Journal, but he had to award what impressed him the most. "Best of Solid Secondary/Tertiary, Yin SunhawkÂ’s Rjepqas."

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Next Category: Pastel. Setup your birds! (Most of them are already set up.)</td></tr></table>

  5. <font color=darkolivegreen><blockquote>Yin & Angsi

The Sunhawk barely had time to register the success of her beautiful little teal. She ran her fingers in congratulations across the side of the bird's head, then gave the flitter a treat as a reward.

Moving on, she gently unveiled Angsi's cage, looking at the pink bird with a gentle smile. This female was more calm than her comrade had been. Yin's oldest flitter, as a matter of fact. The little feathered beast shifted slightly, making an odd chirring sound, quizzical. As the Sunhawk ran her fingers across the bird and gently sprayed her wings as well, though, Angsi remained confident and calm. Yin gently ran her fingers across the pastel feathers, smoothing those that had been ruffled by travel, eyes admiring the natural gleam of her girl's pink coloration. The pendragon nodded in approval, once more standing at silent attention, ready for the judging to begin.

  6. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Sorry this took so long. I had company yesterday and didnÂ’t want to take the time it would take to write.</td></tr></table>
    NPC Judge Venyes Gimbrel:
his would through the benches for Solid Pastel was a long one. The group had been steadily growing in popularity over the past year and was now out-numbering the primary and Secondary/Tertiary class. But, the discovery several years ago of the interesting albino reactions that the species had did end up having a tremendous effects on the species as a whole. After a second quick trip through, to look at the birds that had caught his eye, Gimbrel tapped a pen against his judges book, made a few notes and turned to the crowd of breeders and spectators. "Solid Pastel Winners are as follows. 3rd in Category, Thi RauosiÂ’s Valas. 2nd in Category, Thi RauosiÂ’s Bupa. Best of Category, Thi RauosiÂ’s TomÂ’kjyttap. Next Category to be judged is Non-Solid, to be followed by the Best in Show Competition."

    03 : Turrush & Ace:
Turrush smiled as he smoothed the rich blue feathers of his first non-solid pet quality flitter. HeÂ’d had her for quiet some time and was always pleased to hear here twitter and ruffle her tiny feathers. She showed no nervousness, and had traveled well with no damage to her feathers, so it was a simple matter to tuck her into the exhibit cage and lock the door.

    04 : Turrush & Vade:
His next step was to draw Vade from his travel box. Vade was a special little bird, and one of the first that Turrush had bred as a pet and not as food for a Trisk. The flashy little creature was a mottling of red and white feathers and looked impressive. Vade had yet to catch a judges eye, but that didnÂ’t stop Turrush from entering him in any show that he was heading to. Though he was terribly dusty. So dusty that Turrush didnÂ’t know where he had found it all in a travel box. It was a quick matter of cleaning the little bird up and placing him in the display cage, where he fluttered a little, and apparently seemed to be looking for more dust to play in.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Non-Solids should setup. Please put your entry number befor your character/pet names.</td></tr></table>

  7. <font color=darkolivegreen><blockquote>Yin & Tangaj :01

Tangaj was a proud winner - he had done it before, and the little magenta was quite sure he could do it again. Of course it was a confidence that his owner didn't quite find herself approving. A low chirr escaped her lips, eyes bright with a strange emotion as she ran her fingers through her typical inspection. The bird was almost bursting with pride. The slightest movement of her finger gently shoved his beak, tipping the aviator slightly so that it gave a quiet little chirp of surprise, then settled, less arrogant about its confidence. That was better. He was often too full of himself and she had found herself needing to adjust that rather frequently. Thus the communicated, practiced gesture. With a run of her fingers after a light misting, Tangaj was ready.

    Yin & Bedelumt : 02

Bede' was a new one to the show ring. The little pumpkin looked around eagerly, head turning quickly around and little chirps escaping him every few seconds. He was a very attentive flitter, full of energy and mischief. It had taken her a while to train him. Longer than Tangaj, but this was what 'Gaj was born for. He was used to it without needing to learn. Yin ran her fingers lightly across the little orange bird's body, checking everything before misting his feathers and smoothing them. Nodding pleasantly, she stepped to the side, between her birds' cages, proud of their appearances and ready for the results.

  8. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>My apologies on how long it took for me to put this together. IÂ’ve been uninspired recently in addition to busy.</td></tr></table>
    NPC Judge Venyes Gimbrel:
He walked down the line of benches slowly, his eyes carefully scanning the birds in the cages. Non-Solid was always the flashiest class for judging, and an excellent place to watch for a potential Best Color Winner. This class didnÂ’t take him long to judge, it was still relatively small, and two of the birds entered really impressed him. "Non-Solid Winners are being announced now. Second in Category, Turrush SjoahaujsÂ’ Vade. Best in Category, Turrush SjoahaujsÂ’ Ace. All Best of Category Winners should take their birds to the Final Bench for the Best In Show Judging."

    Turrush & Fez:
Turrush carefully covered the little albinoÂ’s cage and picked it up. The walk from the Solid Primary bench to the final one was short, but felt like it was taking forever. Once he was there, the he removed the cover from the cage. Fez was still in perfect condition, so Turrush did nothing to the little bird.

    Turrush & Ace:
The second trip up to the final bench felt just as long as the first. With care, Turrush settled Ace next to Fez, and she twittered happily at him. The little bird had somehow gotten a little dusty, so Turrush misted her gently with a spray bottle. After she shook off and preened a bit, she was ready for the Best in Show Judging.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Rjepqas and Tom need to be set up for Best In Show Judging and then IÂ’ll finish out the show!</td></tr></table>

  9. <font color=darkolivegreen><blockquote>Yin & Rjepqas:

The tribal 'dragon picked up Rje's cage with great care, taking it over to the judging bench and carefully placing it. She uncovered the little flitter, watching the teal quietly. There didn't seem to be anything amiss and the lovely little lady was still in perfect condition, so Yin did nothing. Just smiled a "best of luck" smile at Turrush, then focused on the judging. Curious as to who would win the best in show.

  10. Thi and Tom 3

Thi picked Tom up in her cage and carried her over to the final judging table. After a quick scan she found Tom had another secret for her. Thi gave Tom a little glare before brushing off the dust that clung to her feathers and making them shine even more.
