[OOC] Time stamp-Mia 38,81379 [BIC] Rom sits on a fallen log, looking up at the sky. Snow is nicely falling on her face, she smiles to her self and pulls the lapels of her coat closer together, hunger still grew in her stomach but she just ignored it. It was too nice a night to worry about such things. She looks around her, looking through the trees as far as she could. Finding the log uncomfortable, her slender form moves to the ground pulling her knees up close to her, covering her feet with the bottom of her dress. The night was quiet then normal but she hadnÂ’t noticed. Her eyes slowly closed as she imagined on day meeting her own kind, maybe even her parents. She slowly drifted off in to a sleeping sort of state, large ears still perked in attention.
Figure sits motionless for the longest time for her only feeling like a few short moments. Faces flash past and she twitches a bit n slumps down even more using the fallen tree for support. Not having any memories of the past caused her subconscious to assume that the missing were of happy things, this was surely not the case. Blocking out the bad was her bodyÂ’s first survival instinct after it realized it was on its own. If the weather had not been so warm, n if she had not been such a great size at birth then the elements would have taken her at once, she posses more power then she even knew. Golden eyes flash open quickly and she found her self-gasping from air. Hand runs though hair as she looks around trying to remember what had given her such a fright. When there was no such reason to be this frightened, she relaxed a bit, blinked a few times then looks around shivering. I should make myself a fire for the night. Her form slowly rises as she begins to walk, leaving a large canvas back behind so she can mark the place she was sitting. It took her a while but with in an hour or so she got a good little fire going with the dry twigs n sticks she found. She rummages through her bag finding a old book some one had lost, it was missing the cover but was quite thick. Light from the fire danced off her snow white face as she read contently, reading was her only way of interacting with any other people other then the friends she had made up for herself when she was small. Most of them had disappeared she began finding the discarded reading material, but some here known to show up again during those really cold and lonely nights.
Sketch felt another stupid grin upon her face. The snow floating from the sky reminded her of thousands of little white butterflys, all dancing in circles. With a sudden spurt of energy she began leaping though the snow on all fours, like a coyote pounces on a mouse. However, she liked to think of it as frolicking. Inside, she knew she looked retarded, but the day was far too gorgeous for her to care. And of course, there was nobody around, so it did not matter anyways. As soon as the thought had crossed her mind, her nose told her that there was a wood-fire near by, and she stopped the frolicking at once and uprighted herself to anthro form. Stalking silently through the cottony forrest floor, she peered suspiciously towards the smoke from behind a medium sized pine tree. At first she just saw the fire, but after a double take she realized that an albino dragoness was perched aside it, reading some sort of ancient-looking book. "Odd" she thought, for this area was seldom populated by more than trees and the odd rodent. She looked young, maybe 14, 15. Harmless enough, but still too strange to go bounding up upon. Sketch felt an idea come upon her, and she crouched low to the ground. Her smirk returned, and she whistled loudly, and waited.
Rommi's left ear perked up in attention eyes looking up, as if it was another being all together. The whistle send a chill down her elongated spine as she tucked the book back in the bag and stood up. Gazed wandered and through the trees, both ears perked now trying to find the origin of the strange sound. She had never heard anything like it around, especially from the creatures she had come across in this forest. Using the log for balance she stood up and looked around. She lifted the hemline of her skirt making it easier to walk though the dense vegetation she started moving towards where she best guessed the sound had come from. So wrapped in the whole thing she ended up walking past the hidden dragon with out even noticing. She stopped a few feet out taking another survey of the land, nothing. Rommi sighed and turned back and headed toward her camp, eyes glued to the ground. It must have been all in her head, what a shame. She though she might have actually found another being to talk to. She returned to her little make shift camp taking her book back in to hand, brushing hair from her face she went back to reading.
Ryu held a dead rodent in her hand, ripped open by her large claws. She began to cry as they shrunk back to thier normal size. She dropped the rodent to the ground. Ryu felt terrible. What if she had harmed someone else in her blind rage. She sat down on the ground, wiping the blood from her hands. She hated her life. Her hair turned back to it's normal dark colour, making her look like an obvious target in what seemed to be a white, snow covered field. The forests were the only place she could hide from other pendragons, the dark, dreary forests. She wiped the tears from her eyes.
Both ears perk hearing a soft crying noise. Rommi glares at them with disgust. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me. Eyes go back to the tattered book as she turns the page careful not to rip it out. She knew there was nothing out there and there never would be anything. She would just have to face the facts. She was alone, nothing more nothing less; it was just her and her mischievous ears. She stretches her left ivory coloured wing then nestles it back in place.
OOC: Sorry if my first post was quite poor. I had to do something really fast so I could go help my friend. Ryu turned around to see a figuire in the distance. She turned away. Even if she wanted to meet this figuire, it would end up in bloody rage, as did all her friends. She stretched out her wings, giving her the appearance of a female demon. People often run from her, mistaking her for such. It angered her. Ryu needed something, someone, to stop her from becoming destructive. She concentrated. Hello, would you be able to help me? She hoped they could hear her telepathic messages.
Rommi stops dead in mid word, photograph to be precise. She looks from the left to the right, her ears stayed still as if they hadnÂ’t heard any of it. What was that? Did I think that? I really must be going insane, I its just not my ears playing tricks on me Rommi sighed and went back reading finishing the word photograph and many more, but the book could no longer hold her concentration. What or who was that, she knew she had heard the trees and bugs talking before, even her prey before she ate it but they never were as clear as that was, and they never felt like they were talking to her. Her gaze looked around her for a bit but had never been that great so she just saw the trees. She shrugged it off Get a hold of yourself Rommi
Sketch stopped dead. Somebody had just said something in her head. A call for help maybe? She jerked her head in the direction it had come, and saw nothing but the edge of the forest, then a vast snowy field. She considered forgeting the little white dragon, but suddenly recalled the last time she tried to help someone. She had ended up wandering the thought-roads of a dragons mind with an unsuspecting comerade, then collapsing his nervous system and getting lost in his conciousness, not to mention losing her friend for hours, then barely escaping (ooc| true story. gotta love rp!) bic| On second thought, she'd need some help. Turning back towards the albino femme who'd resettled a few feet away, Sketch bounded towards her, leaping upon her and pinning her fragile body into the fluffy snow.
RommiÂ’s muscles stiffened so she was as hard as a rock. A empty look played across her feminine features as she looked at the one on top of her. And then there was a scream, not of fear but of excitement. THERE ARE OTHERS!! All this time I though was the only one, well part of me did but a larger louder part said there must be others and there are. With out noticing it there was another large scream. And you would be excited, living all this time thinking you were the only person alive then learning there was at least one more out there to talk to share things with put Rommi in to a state of sheer excitement. WhatÂ’s your name? Where did you come from? Was it you who said something about help? How old are you? Is there any more of you? What are you? Rommi had so many unanswered and they were all coming out with out even realizing her life might be in peril. She just couldnÂ’t keep her big mouth closed for one. Finally some one not imaginary to talk to. How exciting.
Ryu sighed. See, no one payed attention to her. She decided to take her chances and go up to them. She flew into the sky, her long wings pounding in the air, she lowered herself right next too the pendragon, who looked slightly confused. Hello, can you help me? Ryu hoped they understood that she could not speak normal words. Her voice had been stolen from her at such a young age.
Sketch stared at the screaming, ranting dragon under her paws. "Oh god." She thought. "I've frightened her into insanity" but after a moment got the feeling that perhaps she was suffering from more of 'the-last-unicorn' syndrom than craziness, and her bubbly energy brought back the stupid grin. Sketch felt 5 years old. "Hi. Im Sketch, whats you're name?" before she could answer, she felt the air pressure around her waver, and looked up to see what at first appeared to be a large pheonix, but then turned out to be a winged penndragon. Again, the telepathic voice rang in her head, calling for help. Sketch lifted her paws from the white dragons chest and stood back, staring in awe at the new dragon, who now sat before her. Cocking her head, she greeted her, and asked how she could help.
For the first time since she had been knocked to the ground Rommi was completely silent even forgetting to breathe. She looked from the body right above her to the form that had just appeared. It was the one who had asked for help before, she was sure of it. She wasnÂ’t sure how she knew that but she just did. Suddenly no words were able to form in her mouth as she just watched it. What did it need help with? She glanced from one to another then back again. There was two of them, this was the best day of her life, not like she could remember the bad ones bit this had to be one of the best. If there were two there had to be more didnÂ’t there? Maybe a whole gathering with hundreds of them. This though made her spine tingle and a happy smile played across her mouth. She usually wasnÂ’t this bubbly, but for this occasion it was the only characteristic that seemed to come out.
She smiled. So many questions had been asked. My name is Rau, your questions will be answered in due time. Laughing inside she held out her hand. Now about that help, where am I?
oo well Sketch and Rau, I am Rommimyta. And where you are I am not sure. I call this place my home, but I donÂ’t think that will help you any She smiled as friendly as she could, she didnÂ’t know exactly what it should look like, so she put on the one she always practiced when she imagined meeting people. Ohh what a great day it was, meeting all these wonderful people and it was a very nice day out. It was still lightly snowing which made this even better. She looked up at Sketch who was still using her as a crash pad. The first thing that she noticed was the warmth radiating from her, the next was the smell of her breathe. This was warmer then the heat being let off by her body, and it also smelt like fish.
Slender hand reaches up and starts touching Sketches face then her own, how similar they were. But then there was there differenced, running a slender finger up Sketches her as the right one of her own twitched. How can she hear with these things, they are so tiny A small giggle crosses her face and she continues to become better acquainted with Sketch, the odd time looking over at the other being comparing all their characteristics with each other. Some parts matched n some didnÂ’t, like her wings were might larger then theirs, at least in comparison with her body, and she size was small, she figured they had been alive a lot longer at least a good decade or two. All the time never stopping to wonder if they would mind being under her microscope .After analyzing every aspect of the three she just lets her head back n starts laughing with joy
Out of Character

Smells like fish eh? Rachel you are a fish.

Sketch opened her mouth to respond to Rau, but stopped as she found Rom touching her face. She had a right mind to swat her away but had decided the albino must be mentally disinclined or severely lonely, and seemed to be amusing herself anyhow, so ignored her for the meantime, and continued. "Well Rau, we are currently at the edge of the north forest of the island of Sucam. Pretty unpopulated around here. Usually a hunting ground, but not in this season. Except for this kiddy here," Sketch motioned to Rommie, now giggling like a schoolgirl "you wont find many dragons. Hell, I dont even know why I'm here. What else do you need to know?" Sketch tried to act mature and intent on the needs of Rau, but found Rommie to be quite distracting, not to mention fluffy like a teddy bear. With a single swift movement, she pushed her back into the snow playfully.
Out of Character

i didnt know what else to put, and i am a pretty pretty fish!

BIC: It was true Rommi had reverted to a child like state, and it would pass. Somewhat like elf, or what Buddies dad thinks has happened. She hit the ground with a slight thud n let out a laugh and pushed Sketch back. It was fun to have some one to play with, Rommi hoped these two might be able to take her to see more of their kind, she wanted to see every single one, with all their and see if there was more that looked more like her. A large giggle was emitted as she playfully pushed her body weight against Sketches. After she was out of Sketches range she took a few steps towards Rau, then stopped. Then took a few steps back toward Sketch then back again then suddenly yelled, YOU GUYS SMELL DIFFERENT!! Not like a bad different but there is a large difference. She looked at them suddenly becoming very embarrassed. She thought back to what she had been doing an then suddenly sat down, in all her excitement they must have though she was a crazy, suddenly she felt a new emotion embarrassment. They arenÂ’t acting like this why am I, they donÂ’t go around smelling each other and touching. Have these two met before and they just donÂ’t need to. Rommi sat back on the ground beside her fire. Clutching her bag close to her chest she pulled her legs in close wrapping her arms around them as she tried to decipher their actions. Over analyzing every little movement both of them made, was almost enough to make her go crazy. She closed her eyes for a few seconds trying to collect her self. After a few large deep breaths she re-opened them, blinking a few times then fixing her vision on the pair. The Rau one was lost and Rommi knew this place like the back of her hand, and if she was able to give large landmarks she would surely be able to help. What type of place are you looking for?
No matter how hard she tried to fight it or how many breathing exercises she did something was going on in her head. Vivid memories came rushing back, sights and sounds she had no recollection of . Suddenly like it was like she was in an arena filled with people, all that could be heard was screams and crying. Then as soon as it had started it was deadly silent again and then he appeared again. She remembered him; he came and helped her when she was young. Her other imaginary friends changed rabidly becoming what ever she fancied at the moment, but not this one. He had a stern look about him, never caring or compassionate. He always talked to her like and adult and told her what to do. If it had not been for his words, and him showing her how to survive she would have been lost for sure. He had never told her a name to call him, so she didnÂ’t call him anything. He never played with her so she never grew to fond of him, not enough to give him a title. She looked at him then the two females she had met, together they only shared minor characteristics, but when she looked at him they looked like the could have been born from the same female. She watched the facial expressions on the other two for a few moments and when no acknowledgement to this new member of their group. Your right they cant see me His voice was cold and expressionless, just like she remembered him to be. Even the sound of it made her jump a little, but she just pressed her knees tighter in to her body. She shivered a little, part of it was from the snow creeping up her skirt, the rest was from the vision she had before Not now just please leave me alone; these people are real, unlike you She glared at him, as of her eyes were able to make him leave. To her horror this seemed to make him more angry and he took a few lunging steps towards her. Face muscles tightened and eyes slammed shut awaiting the fear his punishment. When nothing happened she opened her eyes slowly to realize he was no longer with the. Her muscles relaxed instantaneously and the breath she had been holding with out even realizing it was released.
Out of Character

awesome post, chelly. (its great to be back). Ive got a whole sheet of those.

Sketches eyes were fixed upon Rau, confused and silent, but from the corner of her eye, she saw Rom shrink back as if whipped by an inner slave-driver. On closer inspection she watched the dragon curl up, and mouth some words, indistinct, and surge as if being electrocuted. Oh dear. The people you find in the forest these days. She had a feeling everybody needed to take a breather, and possibly warm up. Still silently she took the paws of Rom and Rau, walking in the middle and led them back to Rommies previous campsite. The fire had died down to embers, but glowed with a comforting warmth. From a dead tree she broke a large branch, and snapped it into 5 or six smaller pieces, standing them like a teepee in the smoldering ashes. Soon it would get going. She turned around to face her two new friends to find them shivering and miserable-looking. Quite the enthusastic bunch. What had happpened to Rom? Not five minutes ago she'd been bouncing off the trees, and now, this? Somethings up. Sometimes theres more to people than they let on. She motioned them to sit down on a fallen log which she proceeded to push closer to the fire. Across from them she took a seat on a slightly decayed stump. She was now thankful for wearing clothes today. She'd started off anthro and walked the rest of the way quad. She always felt ridiculous wearing clothes with four legs, because of course they didnt fit remotely right, but now she wrapped her sweater tight around her and her shivers began to subside. For a moment they sat in silence, Rom and Rau hypnotized by the dancing flames, but Sketches eyes were fixed upon Rom. There was something about her... just too familliar. The eyes mostly. She saw the same pair every time she looked in the mirror. She knew that her sister had dissapeared when they were puppies, but she'd always assumed that she was dead. Where else would a puppy go by her onesome? But now she wasnt too sure. It couldnt be possible. Could it?
