    Dyo
    Day 35
    Year 81377

    The sun glittered off the turquoise sea, its surface gently rippling. Wavelets slapped the sandy shore of the atoll, sometimes leaving a shell, a bit of seaweed, the empty casing of a deceased aquatic creature; gifts from the ocean. Tall palms and wide-stretching ferns covered all available soil. The island formed a ring, enclosing a bay of water. The sun flashed off the scales of colorful forms beneath the waves, small, or larger schools swimming lazily as they grazed. The tranquility was absolute, undisturbed.

    Save for one...

    An ocean-hued form broke the surface of the water, turning a backflip and laughing madly before splashing back down. He streaked off again, through the water, his spirit-burning tail leaving a line of bubbles behind him. His pelt was emblazoned with the pattern of the sun on the bottom of a clear pool, a turquoise row of spikes, joined by a membrane cutting down his spine, like some creature of the deeps. He leapt again, from the waves, the water streaking off his silky coat to swirl around him before falling, as he did, back into the sea's embrace.

    Mizerir Shimu was young, and infected by the madness that often comes upon young creatures during the spring months. This island was by far one of his favorites: abundant food, water, shelter, sun...but so lonely. A pity...</font>

  2. <font color='#EE9A4D'>Character: Naedalya Tamz

    In Character: In the distance, an ivory female Pendragon glided towards the island. She was sylphlike, with huge, grey-silver leathery appendages at her sides. They jutted out of her shoulderblades and in between them, a single row of spiky, burgundy coloured hair sprouted from her head down the whole length of her back.

    Finally, she landed on the shore. She sniffed the air and looked around, just in time to see another Pendragon submerge below the water. Or at least, she thought it was another Pendragon. She sighed, not wanting to go swimming herself...She was a vain femme, and right now, messing up her hair or pelt was not her idea of fun. So she sat upon her haunches and curled her lithe tail around her and just waited for the other to surface again.

    Out of Character: Hope you don't mind her coming along. [IMG]</font>

  3. <font color='#FF7F00'>Not to disturb anyone, but would it kill you two if I joined in?</font>

  4. <font color='#EE9A4D'>I don't mind at all. [IMG]
    Then again, it's not my thread, anyways. *shrugs*</font>

  5. <font color='#000080'>Ditto I was just about to ask the exact same thing!</font>

  6. <font color='#A8A8A8'>OOC: Hey, no problem! The more, the merrier! ^_^

    IC:

    Mizerir floated idly on his stomach for a time before he noticed the cloud-hued 'dragon on the shore. He paddled over at a leisurely pace, reached the shore and shook himself, scattering water droplets. The female recoiled a bit, evidently not wanting to get wet. He smiled apologetically.

    "Sorry about that. Name's Mizerir...Mizerir Shimu. What's yours?"

    So much for being mysterious, he told himself silently.</font>

  7. <font color='#EE9A4D'>ooc: Wow..this'll be my 300th post! [IMG] *disbelief*

    bic: Just in time, as the male walked out of the water, she covered herself with her huge wings. Then, inquired, she neatly folded her wings back over her back, and replied, "Don't worry about it. My name's Naedalya Tamz. You can call me Nae." Smiling friendlily, she stood up and asked, "What brings you to such a nice little place? I'm on vacation from school...Summer vacation and such." She nodded at her words. Naedalya was quite young and out for fun..She hoped Mizerir wasn't the boring type.</font>

  8. <font color='#A8A8A8'>"Ah, Naedalya, Naedalya...a lovely name." He put a paw to his chest, speaking like a poet. "It is a reflection of your beauty, the moonlight on your pelt and the fire in your hair." He rose to his hind legs, making an elegant bow, before sinking to four feet again. "My lady, call me Mizu. I am a wanderer of the waters, come to this fair place by chance. I am delighted to see another soul in my wanderings," he said, glancing up, hoping he had at least elicted a giggle or two with his mock-aristocratic air.</font>

  9. <font color='#EE9A4D'>Naedalya felt herself blushing. She bit her lip, holding back a giggle. But as Mizu continued, she couldn't help herself, and laughed because he was a nice, friendly stranger with a good sense of humour. She pushed her bladed hair back and looked at Mizu closely. He had a good posture and a friendly face. She didn't know what to say..."Well, Mizu.." she smiled, "How could I leave such a pretty beach alone? And when I saw that I wouldn't be the only one there, I figured it would be a great place to stay on vacation." She stood up. "If you know this place, would you mind taking me on the grand tour? Just show me where everything is.."</font>

  10. <font color='#A8A8A8'>Mizu grinned. "Oh, of course...there isn't much to see, but let's take a walk, anyway." He stood up, started loping along the beach. "Follow me," he called over his shoulder.</font>

  11. <font color='#EE9A4D'>ooc: Sorry it took me forever to reply - my internet was busted. --;

    bic: Naedalya immediately took a certain liking to Mizu as he accepted her request. She followed him on light feet, excited, despite the fact he said there wasn't much to see. She was just happy she'd found someone nice.</font>

  12. <font color='#A8A8A8'>OOC: Ack, I've been on vacation, so I didn't notice this...meep. ^_^;;

    Mizu was delighted. This Naedalya was friendly, seemed nice...and was indeed rather pretty. He could feel a bit of color rising to his face at that thought, but ignored it, continuing with his new job as 'tour guide'.
    "And if you look to your left, you'll see a large rock. This rock isn't special in anyway, but it's nice to look at, isn't it? Oh, and on your right, there, that's a tree. If you kick it hard enough, sometimes it'll make you dinner, but you have to watch out in case one of the fruits hits you in the head...I think that's how my uncle Hubert died, but I didn't like him much anyw--huh?"

    Mizu was interrupted by a rustling in the undergrowth. Odd...aren't we the only ones here...?</font>

  13. <font color='#A4D9EB'>Naedalya laughed vividly. "Ah, Mizu..No need to state the obvious," she said, after what Mizu said about the rock. Turning her head to the tree, she spoke again. "I don't blame Uncle Hubert for dying..those fruits look awfully heavy." Her happiness turned into confusion as Mizu stopped talking so suddenly. Nae hadn't heard anything.."What's wrong?"</font>
