ooC: This thread is for TheAgonyofBlank and I, private. Eve's gonna die, so if you're into paragraphs of descriptive violence, then good. Otherwise, don't read.

biC: Day broke and dim sunlight barely managed to weave itself through the leafless branches above. A cool breeze was constant, and brought along a strong scent of decaying flesh somewhere in the distance. Eve skipped around and above many puddles of mud and water that were scattered in between green weeds that grew almost as tall as her. An angry grin was etched along her turquoise maw and her head remained near the ground as she perambulated through the Calamarha Swamp. She was definitely angry about something, and in a bad mood. But maybe things would look up for her. She regretted having visited her father after all these years of seperation. Instead of being happy to see his little princess Eve all grown up, he yelled at her and didn't allow her to return home ever again. Oh, AND he put a powerful blocking spell on Eve's dark sorcery abilities. So now, she had to fend for herself without magic. Only now did she realize what life was like without the ability to perform any dark magic. She _was_ a warrior, but lately had just been using magic to escape from battle and hadn't had any practice in a while. Eve hoped she could find somewhere to stay the night without having to fight with anyone. She felt stiff and had definitely gained a few pounds. She panted even though the air was chilly. Oh, I need to rest...

    : OOC :

Finally here! I am really sorry for the wait! If I delay this any longer, I permit you to flame me through e-mails.

    : IC :

Dani cautiously peered out from behind some shrubs, looking at the lone figure of a female pendragon with indifference etched all over her face. She knew not the name of the pendragon she was to assassinate - all she knew was how the pendragon looked like. And the one currently in her view was it. The young, grey-pelted pendragon swished her tail quietly, waiting for the right moment to spring into action.

    Not long now.

Just as Dani tensed her muscles to spring, the scent of decaying flesh reached her nostrils. She recoiled slightly and quietly, affronted, and shook her head. Being an Assassin certainly did not mean that one had to like the smell of decaying flesh; Dani absolutely hated it. It really and truly disgusted her. She was an Assassin who buried her "assassin-nees", because she always thought they deserved a proper burial. She was never told the motive for someone wanting someone dead; she just did the dirty work... in a clean, quick way. And was paid a sum. That was the deal, and Dani kept to it.

Turning her attention back to the one who screamed, "Kill Me!" (only because she was being hunted by Dani, and that was how Dani referred to her "assassin-nees"), Dani noticed her pant. It was then she silently sprung out from behind the poor creature, landing on top of her and quickly turning her over so that her belly was up.

Dani held the other pendragon down forcefully with both paws, a warning snarl escaping her throat and piercing the otherwise silent air surrounding the two. Holding the female down with one paw, Dani, in one swift movement, used the other (paw) to reach for and take the dagger strapped to her left hind leg. She held the dagger against the other female's throat, and said, "Sorry, baby... When you gotta go, you gotta go. Any last words?"

  3. In shock, Eve opened her eyes only to see a female standing above her. At first, she was oblivious to any danger. She regained her senses from being pushed onto the ground in an instant, and only then realized what danger she was in. The cold metal that was digging into her throat was an obvious sign she was about to be killed. She snarled, hoping that this wouldn't cause the dagger to cut her, and pushed the assassin away frantically. In that split second, Eve allowed herself to roll away, into the mud, despite her hatred of getting dirt into her vibrant turquoise coat. Having avoided that, she regained her footing and sized herself up with the female who'd almost killed her. "Uh, you sure you know what that thing can do? For God's sakes, you almost killed me!" She was obviously sarcastic, and having almost been killed didn't liven up her mood one bit. She rubbed her neck. "You bitch, that hurt." She was very angry now. She tried to cast a spell mentally, as she usually could, but the blocking spell hadn't lost effect. She shuddered at the thought of dying.

Dani allowed herself to be pushed away with little protest, watching with amusement as the other female pendragon got dirt in her beautiful turqoise coat. Sometimes Dani never understood how those who paid her could want someone so beautiful dead. But this was what assassination was, and it was her job. So naturally, she would make sure that she performed it well. You could call her a perfectionist, because that was what she was close to (unintentionally) achieving.

"You know, I think that's what killing is supposed to be about. Hurting. But I'll make it quick, sweetie, if you don't resist."

Dani slowly advanced on the female in front of her menacingly, her dagger, much like sharp teeth - only more dangerous - glinting in the sunlight. And suddenly and unexpectedly, she pounced.

  5. Instinctively, Eve ducked and avoided her assailant's lunge toward her. She twirled and faced her. Well, she's not going to kill me. You win some, you lose some. She glared at her and snarled again. The assassin meant business, so Eve had a reason to be on the attack as well.

She approached her once again, keeping her eyes on the dagger and readying herself to do something about it. Eve had no chance against the assassin with a huge knife like that in her hand - if Eve were to jump at her, she'd end up with the dagger in her gut. So she had to knock it out of her grasp. Her slitted blue orbs watched Dani's every move. Eve waited for the right moment, the opportunity to knock the dagger away.

Eve circled slowly with the assassin, restlessly awaiting the perfect time to make her move. She could see that she was running out of time, so suddenly, she flailed her paw toward the assassin's that held the weapon. If she were to wait any longer, the chance to try would probably not occur anymore.

    You live and learn.

Dani felt the dagger land almost noiselessly some feet to her left, but she did not allow her eyes to trace its whereabouts. Instead she kept her cold, emotionless gaze on the turqoise-pelted female in front of her. It was her own fault that she had allowed the dagger to be knocked out of her paw, and she was very angry at herself for that - more angry than she was at the assassin-nee. No, she would not allow herself to be taken off-guard again.

But Dani was not what one would call inexperienced (though she certainly was not extremely experienced), because she had been trained for weaponless "combat". And she could somewhat tell that this pendragon she was facing had at least minimal experience in fighting.

There was no time to waste; Dani had to get this over and done with quickly. She lunged at the other female and made to sink her teeth into her muddy coat.

  7. Eve smiled mischievously as the dagger fell out of the grey assassin's grip, splashing into the mud. Instead of ducking or jumping away from the female's lunge at her, she pounced toward her as well, her claws retracted. She didn't want to die, she was just angry because of her father. So she would take her rage out on this so-called assassin.

Maybe her father had sent someone out to kill her? No, no... What kind of a parent would do that? Eve was confused as these thoughts ran through her mind, yet all the theories seemed impossible in the end. Maybe someone from her past? Well, whatever it was, she had the anger toward her father to back up her attacks' power.

The pendragon she faced was rather small, and this reassured Eve slightly... She thought she may have a chance at winning this. In fact, she was pretty sure of herself. She saw the fear upon the grey female's face when her weapon was thrown away from her grasp...

    : IC :
Dani knew she could not waste anymore energy or breath than she already had, and it was with this thought in mind that she prevented herself from growling in frustration as she (surprisingly - to her, at the very least) missed her mark. Perhaps this pendragon was much more experienced than Dani thought she would be.

After the two pendragon bodies collided and then landed, Dani was quick to roll away and get back on her paws. She glared at the other female (she was almost certain she would get another glare in return) and pounced, this time very sure her jaws would meet with the back of the other female's neck.

  9. Eve gasped deeply as the brisk pain of Dani's jaws closing over her neck overcame her now-gone pride. She really felt as if she was fending off this female at some point. She yelped quietly and began thrashing wildly, flailing her soft-purple wings and attempting to bite her attacker's legs as they grasped her back. But she was too small for Eve to be able to reach her. Eve regretted having lost her flexibility. "Get off me, you stupid rat!"

But she was wasting her breath. Eve was slowly losing her patience, her blood, and not to mention her energy. She let herself collapsed, then realized her opportunity. She rolled over, onto her back, hoping to squash the assassin under her weight. Eve was sure she would not be stubborn enough to maintain her grasp upon her scruff. So this girl meant business. Eve was becoming somewhat doubtful. Would she see tomorrow?

  10. in character

Being an Assassin was no easy task, but the grey-pelted female had known nothing else - hell, even tried nothing else - but assassination all her life. Thus making her rather skilled at her job, but at the same time she would never know her true passion. Perhaps even writing would have been a passion, but she would never know - for she would never have the chance to sit down and just... Write.

Being an Assassin also meant she might die pretty soon (although her parents still managed to live till this day), and that was how she felt right about now. Struggling to breathe under the pretty and heavy female's weight, Dani helplessly batted her paws at the assassinee's belly, before summoning all the strength she had left and trying to shove the other female off.

  11. ooC: Woo, I forgot about this thread. O_o;

biC: Despite the thrashing grey female's efforts, Eve remained sprawled on her back, allowing her shoulder blades to dig into the assassin's body. "So the tables have turned,"she said, and laughed, turning over in an instant, pushing down on her enemy's face with her grasping, clawing paws. "Don't move, and I won't kill you..."
Eve's seafoam-green elbows dug into the mud as they supported her weight around the grey female's body, to prevent her from being squashed any further. Eve began feeling some pity for her, because she was so small, and seemed so helpless, so her grip loosened on her face slightly.

  12. (ooc: How about we make it so that Dani just runs, I think I'd find it easier if Serria would just walk into the thread instead of Dani turning into Serria [IMG])

Serria was hunting alone that day, no real need for her two nightmare soldiers. I think to just kill one today, gotta save my energy for the big one... She laughed evilly. She ran until she heard the sounds of someone fighting. She hastened, her feet silently moving across the ground until Dani and Eve fighting.

She watched for a while, she didn't care which one won, she would be the one to assasinate the one who came out victor. Soon, Dani was the one running for his life. She stretched out her mechanical wings, and moved forward. Any bushes in the way were sliced by the blades built right into the wings. She was now within Eve's eyeshot. I can't believe that coward would run from a puny little creature like you? You can't be any stronger than him. You may have been able to defeat him, but you stand no chance against me! Ha ha ha!

Serria charged towards Eve, her wings spread and the blades ready to slice Eve up into pieces.

  13. Eve panted and sat down to ease her exhaustion. She did it, though. She was out of the woods!

...Then came a horrifying scene, tumbling through the bushes towards her, with knives for wings, yelling threats at her. Her jaw dropped as she again felt adrenaline rushing through her blood - a somewhat rejuvenating feeling came over her as she reared onto her hind legs and took flight in a frantic attempt to escape. She didn't believe that the bladed-winged 'dragon was able to fly too. Once a few meters off the ground, she slowed down her flight and flew glided slowly above the trees.

  14. Serria laughed. Giving up so soon? Serria also took flight. She cupped her hand and a Black orb formed above it. She threw the orb right at Eve's back with extreme force. She then dives skull bashes Eve to the mud with her clawed hands and feet. Any last words? She laughed evilly.

  15. ooC:

Just wanna tell you... That was powerplaying. You made it so Eve was in fact hit with Serria's attack. Next time give the other person (me in this case [IMG]) a chance to avoid the attack by saying your character attempted something, without making it definite. [IMG]

    iC:

Eve looked at the blade-winged dragon and her jaw dropped. Those horrendous, shiny, metal wings could in fact allow her to take flight. She was baffled by it all, so shrugged and told herself it was just magic. Magic.. Eve felt she could _really_ use some of that right now...

Eve easily dodged the black orb that was thrown at her and also moved out of the way when her assailant attempted a headbash. She landed again, scraping her face slightly as she clipped through the dry branches of a tree. And she waited, beginning to believe that this was all a dream. Couldn't be..I'm feeling real pain, real fear... The expression on Eve's face gave away her intense fear. Her eyes were blank as she looked ahead of her, watching Serria in disbelief. The turquoise femme immediately began running at full speed, zigzagging between trees, until she tripped over a root that protruded from the ground. "Oh...vokc!!!" She crashed into the ground and fell on her shoulder, feeling a few deep scrapes open under her weight.

  16. (ooc: Oops [IMG])

Serria chased after Eve, still in flight. Her bladed wing cut through the trees like paper, each one falling to the ground with a tremendus bang like a gun. When Eve tripped, Serria dived to pin her to the ground.

  17. Eve tried to roll away, but was too late. Serria had already pinned her down. She strained her neck and looked up at her assailant. "What is it that you want?" Her mud-laden paws scratched through the dirt in a useless attempt to get away from Serria. But Eve was too tired.

  18. Just to kill you really. Nothing more nothing less, just the enjoyment of watching another die She put her paw on Eve's neck, her claws withdrew, slightly, just so they were touching her neck, but not drawing blood. Any last words small one?

  19. Eve winced as she finally managed to roll over, feeling sharp pain in her shoulder. Her heart began pounding furiously in her chest as she felt the claws digging into her neck. Blinking, she managed to cough a few words out, barely able to breathe because she was being choked. "It's not..fair..." She tried pulling her hand off.

  20. Serria had an extremely tight hold on her neck. Her claws unleashed fully, digging right into her neck... Not fair... Life isn't fair girl. I learned that one a long time ago.
