tria 37th, 81381. all welcome. dylan/arsenic. n_n Curiosity had always been his most tenacious vice. As a child he had questioned teachers about everything; from the stupidest, most trivial nit-pick to the well-thought out questions answered with hasty dismissals and snickering peers. As he got older, thoughts and questions had become more internal than anything, and he had more or less ceased asking his infernal questions - but it didn't mean they went away. Dylan had once asked his mother so many questions that she had thrown something at him. Specifically what he could no longer recall. And, furthermore, upon reflection this hadn't been such an aberration. It hadn't taken much to get her to snap. Hands in the pockets of his black jeans, his shoulders slumped instinctively against a mild wind, though he didn't really feel the cold at all. Sharp blue eyes skirted the jagged horizon, marred with the figures of tall buildings before dancing down to the lower ones that sprawled before him. And before him a park. But there was that curiosity again, rearing its ugly head as he walked over to a swing. He sat down, and pushed himself back and forth, switching his feet from heel to ball and back to heel, his chin cupped in one hand and the other fingering one of the ropes that attached the swing to the frame.
Rloa, never been in a underwater city befor, stares in aw. Yet as Rloa visted the diffrent parts of the city yet something seem to pull him in to the park that he already walk by twice so he just stuffs his hands in to his light coat and ,as they say, dives head first.
Dylan looked over the Copenhagen-blue male, nodding curtly to him from a few feet away. He scanned the ground, pushing himself on the swing, his mouth opening wide and tongue curling in a fang-adorned yawn. The fashion designer and ex-Kugsuem had no idea what he was doing out in a park - he was here for a fashion show - but it brought back what few happy memories of early childhood he had.
Rloa just nods back but still had a feeling that somthing was not right but he stayed and takes a look around the park he first started to inspect the slide.... He was wondering what it was. The thought was grading at his brain he knows something not right yet don't know what it is....
As always, the thought of Koani haunted him, staying at the back of his mind as though his skull had been trepanned and her memory shoved in. He loved her for how her hair looked in soft light, for the clean lines of her body, for the fragility of her bony ankles and clavicles. The fashion designer merely raised a thin brow at the other arden, methodically swinging back and forth on his swing, wrapped in cashmere and a black leather jacket. He made sure his trousers didn't touch the ground; he kept the balls of his feet against the ground. "You like parks...?" he said to the boy.
Rloa head snaps up. then with out really thinking replies <span style='color:blue'>" Depends on the park."</span>
OOC: oh poo i was a little late for this >.< do you mind if i join in now? i'll do it anyway but i can make her go poof if needed luff luff x IC: Yuki had been in the underwater city for almost a week now. She was reseaching the fish breeds and their behavior patterns, and also any changes that might need to be made to adapt them into other places or if they were suitable for captivity, so far she had just documented a small portion of the aquatic life here, which resided in a compiled A3 sketch book that was protuding a little from the blue-gray messenger bag - Embellished on it was a golden wing which sat in the middle of the flap catching the light and glinting dully as she walked. Yuki was taking the beaten dirt path that lead to the small park she walked through most nights, tonight she was walking slowly, sipping the processed coffee from the lab in one of the sterile white styrofoam cups. Its was the same white as her fur, though hers had a sheen that was natural. The coffee was still hot however and her pink tongue lashed over her maw as a sudden jilt in her step caused it to splash onto her sensitive white nose. There was a littlle downhill gradient from here on till she came out at the roundabout and with the change of pace, the knee-high gypsy like skirt swished from side to side. It was a somewhat intracite pattern, it's light cream base adorned with a chocolate brown pattern of swirls with tiny golden threads weaved into hem. Her top was of a pale blue which sat in a way that left her shoulders bare. A simple white gold chain grasped around her neck with two thin bands which weaved in and out once to hold a smallish diamond in its prongs. It was matched by a number of yellow gold bangles which sounded a delightful jingle as she walked. The femme was surprised however to see two ardens int the ususally deserted park. One was young, between 14 and 17 meanwhile the other matched her age more or less, though he seemed somewhat lost, though she reconised him from something somewhere. She noted his remarkable dress sense, something which Yuki hoped she had too. She had a brown cargo cavas jacket in her bag which finsihed her outfit. But her fur thickened as the seasons changed. So her need for it was not always necesary. Yuki stopped just short of the swing frame, her blue hair twinkling in the light and swirling with the small breeze. She hadn't seen many ramathians her ages, and she was curious after the long work hours had isolated beyond the usual. She had Hear Rloa's comment on the parks and decided to join in. It would be easy to excuse herself if needed, and also nice to engage in something that didn't revolve around fish. Plus after todays discoveries she was more dapper than usual. "This park is particuarly quaint then, don't you think? Though it's not used much these days" Yuki was leaning a little against the chipped frame, her coffee held to her breast as though she was steadying herself with the beverage. There were fewer children around these days, there used to be so many when she was his age. Her statement was left open as she she gave Arsenic a soft smile, seeing if he shared her thoughts on the little playground.
ooc. It's perfectly fine. :D Sorry my length doesn't match yours, Mori. ic. Dyl surveyed the jagged horizon, his eyes tracing the rectangular shapes that melted into blue oblivion. His fists tightened on the chains connecting the swing to the metal structure that supported it, and his one remaining dogtag (he'd snapped off Rail's when he was with Koani) rapped a solemn metal rhythm against his chest. He closed his eyes and rolled his fox-like head back, tracing the sea and buildings looming above. 'Senic was pushed out of his temporary trance as a lilting, musical voice met his ears, and they twitched attentively. "This park is particuarly quaint then, don't you think? Though it's not used much these days." He nodded, his electric-blue gaze snapping to the thill's. "Yeah. Kind of sad, isn't it? Shame they don't have parks in Dhruv... I think there should be more funding for the Yki children up there," he said, recalling what Requiem had said of his childhood, coming from a people bleached like the snow. Poor boy. But he had Cayson now, didn't he?
OOC:No worries... Looks like Yuki isn't too businessy either :P ^-^ IC: Arsenic seemed to come out from his lost haze, his head and ears turning to her before the electric blue jolted against her golden oculars. She smiled softly again pressing the coffee into her a little more as she let her weight fall against the frame. Her snowy white tail wrapped idly around the pole, a few flecks of rust pinging off onto the floor. What was said however, was surprising. Being a native to Dhruv herself she knew all about the funding issues up there. The harsh harvests, the cold winters and tepid summers. The unforgiving landscapes that had the dangerous beauty like the predators of old. " There should be more funding full stop, It's a hard life to live up there... yet the Yki are so welcoming and kind despite their lack of support. And the children, are truly resourceful and wonderful... It one of those places where evil things don't really happen... Not by the locals at least." Yuki spoke somewhat airly as she continued, not for her lack of care, no, it was her home. But rather as she was looking back at her life there momentarily, remebering all the wonderful things about her village. "Did you go to Dhruv once? Er, i don't have a name for you! oh dear! did i not introduce myself! Yuki Severn, I'm here on a business project, and yourselves?" She said introducing herself to the pair, though the Other male (rloa) seemed at awe with the city still, many had not been to the atlantis of Ramath.
Content lingered in DylanÂ’s wide, electric-blue eyes. It had been established by those who knew him well enough that his eyes were the most expressive they had ever come across. Despite his best efforts, intense emotion etched the answers in near-English in his neon irises, each time threatening to betray dark secrets to the world when it didnÂ’t deserve to know. Both proverbial windows to his soul were now fixed on the female, livid with memory. He thanked the fuckers above for the shadows on his face. "My name is Arsenic Strychnine. It's a pleasure to meet you." His eyes traced the skyline again. "I've never been to Dhruv, no. But I have a son from the Sompjufylv tribe. He had... trouble up there. He's a half-Yki, a kylyj'cep - I didn't know about him until six years ago. He tells me all the time about what it was like up there."
Eyes were certainly windows to soul as Yuki knew fine well, she had those same problems as Arsenic - her eyes always betrayed her innermost thoughts. Though his had an intensity she could never imagine herself having. Compared to him her life was luckier...though she had suffered deaths and fear like he had, it would be nothing compared to his. She was perked with interest at the mention of his son, she knew many of the tribes including the Somp -as she called them - but she'd never heard of a color-kid. Mind she had moved around Dhruv lots so it wouldn't surprise her if she had missed him. "Oh, he had trouble... i hope he's alright now, Better you know him now than never though? I don't have any offspring of my own so i couldn't relate to you there..." Yuki sighed her tail tightening around the frame, her clock was ticking, but work was just so busy right now... and she was rather fussy. She could always adopt she supposed, but at this point her work came first.
ooc. I hope you guys don't mind. :] I feel a bit more comfortable jumping in on a thread rather than creating my own right now, since I'm new. x] But if you do, I can have her poof. It was only out of routine that the purple and yellow tinted thill turned to walk through the mostly deserted park. She usually cut through it on her way home from work. That day had been severely long and arduous, and had frustrated her throughout. At one point, she had even refused anyone's company in her office. Orleanna's body wasn't accustomed to much cold. Her thin, lavender fur wasn't much cover from the weather, even in the later parts of the year, so she had to resort to more clothing; which only served as a burden to keep up with, around the office and anywhere else. Tonight she was wearing a crisp, black pantsuit of her father's design. The dress pants were tediously long, so she had found a pair of ankle length boots that suited them and raised her up to a more desired height than her usual five foot and a half. A cream turtle neck sweater, lighter than the creamy white of her belly, kept her torso warm, along with the suit jacket that she wore above it; although it didn't provide much warm and neither did the pants, which were both sparingly thin so that her legs were cold. In a further effort to keep herself warm, she had grabbed her waist length, light purple pea coat - and matching toboggan, and wore it over the suit jacket and sweater, although it didn't exactly match, but warmth was warmth and she couldn't complain this hour of the night. Much to her surprise, there was a small gathering here, where there usually wasn't any - especially for this time of night. The park rarely saw visitors these days, and it truly was a shame. It had been more used by children when she was young, but throughout the years it had been void and desolate of any youthful company. Her tobogganed head raised as she tried to get a better look at them from her distance, though she was rounding up to where they were. The rich blue arden seemed young, but his age she couldn't place, while the other two, much older - older even than she. It came as a surprise that she should find them there, much less at their age. Sketchbook under arm, she had walked to where she had now neared them enough to hear a little of their conversation. She couldn't exactly relate to any of it, however, even if she had wanted to speak at all. "It's good to see visitors," she chimed, "It usually doesn't see many." It wasn't hard to see that she was nervous, not being gifted in the ways of words. She found herself reexamining the male, because he seemed like someone she knew or knew of, but couldn't place. Giving all three a light smile, she tried to join in their small group, standing somewhat out of the way. The majority of them being her senior, it was odd that she wasn't as intimidated by the thought of conversation as she normally would've been.
<blockquote>ooc. Perfectly fine, hon. :D ic. Acer merely nodded in response to Yuki's comment. "He's turned out pretty good; he's a rockstar now. His name is Requiem Falahau - you might have heard of him." His last sentence was accompanied by a half-grin that called an answering echo to her ticking internal clock. Things like that made him feel comfortable – that is, things two people could agree on and discuss that nobody else would be able to understand because they didn't have the background knowledge. Had Yuki openly mentioned her failed attempt to feel compassion for his son's background with his I've-got-a-circuit-board-instead-of-a-brain mother, he might've felt a little more at ease around her. Dyl noted the approaching thill and nodded curtly to her in response to her words. "Indeed. I'm Arsenic Strychinine, this is - " he said, gesturing to the Yki from his swing. " - Yuki Severn, and I'm not sure who the young man over thataway is. Anyways. You look familiar, madam," he said, with all the grace and conversational sociality of a king.</blockquote>
OOC. Mind if I.... IC. Pendzez walked to the group soaking wet, wearing a divers suit and just stood there. he looked at the people and said, "If you want to why I'm wearing and divers suit, I was looking for an item I dropped in the ocean" He unzipped the suit and put it in his bag. He stood there, wearing his normal clothes, a scarf covering neck and mouth, red trousers, and his Sol Pendant.
OOC: sorry i hit a block there IC: Requiem Falahau? the name rang a bell in her mind, she'd heard him on the radio a few times, and she hadn't minded the stuff they were singing about though she was usually too asorbed in something else to take a true interest. His son was living the dream. "I have heard of him. He'll living the dream then, it's good to hear he's got so far in life already, not all kids are so lucky these days" Barely a moment had passed before she saw another femme come into the park area. Quite alot of people travelled through here as a shortcut. The lavender thill, looked a bit chilled by the elements and somewhat shy of closing in on them. Oreleannas' words echoed Yuki's own from before. It was something that grabbed her attention immediatly and was expressed through a kind smile on her maw. Arsenic was gifted with the silver tongue and introductions were soon afoot. "Pleased to meet you" She said simply, letting the elder arder continue.
